    Hi Guyz,
I am on SE Asia Time (GMT+7) and my PC clock is set correctly, but every time I play song in iTUnes, it's Last Played time is off (earlier) by exactly 1 Hour.
    Anyone why it's doing that.
    Example
Now it's 18:27 and the song will say last played 17:27
    Strange
    Thanks

  • Can I set a time for music in iTunes to stop

I use an iPad to play my music to an Airplay speaker. I sometimes use the playlist on my iPad and if I want to increase my listening pleasure I would use Remote to play from my entire libray on the iMac.
I've looked but can't seem to find any way of setting a timer for playback. I listen to music at night and rather than have it play the entire night. Dose anyone know of a a utility/app for atimer setting in iTunes?
I believe Apple sould consider this feature for a future addition to iTunes.
    Thanks,
    HJKeats

It is not yet a built-in feature, but there are quite a few sleep timers around.
    For example:

I have not tried them, however

  • ITunes "Last Played" Time Stamp issues

    I have a late 2011 Mac Mini running OS X 10.8.2 & iTunes 11.0 (163).
Ever since I did the last update to iTunes, the "Last Played" time stamp has not worked.
In the past, whenever a track finished playing, iTunes would place the time & date in the "Last Played" column. This no longer works.
I just came back from the local Apple Store, & one of the workers there suggested setting the iTunes Preferences supply the time stamp.
When I got home, I went through the preferences, but could not find anything for the "Last Played" time stamp.
    Please help.

Go into iTunes Preferences and turn off crossfade.  Don't ask why it works; do ask apple to fix this bug!

  • Earphone volume goes to highest setting every time i start the app

I plug my Apple Earbuds into my Iphone.   I turn the volume down ...then i go into the music app and press play and the volume jumps to the highest setting every time.  This is dangerous and painful to my ears .   How do make the volume stay turned down when starting playing music????

    Hi Derek:
Since you're experiencing the issue more than once, I'd suggest that you try something a little more extreme.
Do you happen to have a hard drive around that you could use as a secondary boot drive?  I'd try a clean install of Mac OS X with a clean install of Final Cut Pro X.  Then, either manually copy your current FCP X projects to the clean install drive or use Migration Assistant.  Since Mac OS X 10.10 was just released, you'll probably have to go with the latest versions of the OS and FCPX.
The main goal (as time consuming and inconvenient as it is) is to get you to a stable FCP setup. Avoid installing anything else until you have verified that FCP works as expected.
A Thunderbolt, FireWire800 or USB3 drive will work well.  Use USB2 _only_ if you can't create a boot drive via one of those three (USB2 is aggravatingly slow).
If you've never used an alternate boot drive, it's very easy to do.  If you need more instructions, I could add them to this post.

  • Setting the Time Ruler to BPM? Premiere CS3

    Hi everyone,
is there a way to set the time ruler in the edit window to a bpm grid?
This would be awesome for Music Video Editing!
If a Band plays to click, you could easily enter the Bpm for the song and cut in a very quick way along the grid.
    thank you for any advice!

    Unfortunately, no.

  • Is there a way to set a timer for your iPad to go off kind of like a sleep timer on the tv?

I have the iPad Air 2. And I usually watch movies or something on it while I fall asleep so it doesn't shut down it just keeps playing all night and then the battery is drained.  I don't mind having to keep it plugged in but I thought if there was a way to set a timer that could work too   thanks!!
    Sarah Morris

Try this. Go to the clock app. Select timer. Choose stop playing as your sound. Set the lenght of time to match your movie. Tap start. Your iPad will now turn off shortly after the movie is over.

  • Time setting loses time

A long while ago I set the time on my iPod Classic 160GB.
For reasons too complicated to explain, the iPod was not used for several months. It had a fully charged battery before it was left idle. Although we've had the iPod for a while, it has not been used that much at all - I did calibrate the battery when we first got it.
The time is wrong by more than an hour (and I have taken the change to daylight savings time into account).
Does this say something about the quality of my battery?
Any suggestions on what to do?
Reset the correct time and see what happens?
Try to use the iPod more even if we aren't really listening to it? (we purchased it expressly for use while traveling - to hook up to mini speakers for hotel listening.)

The battery might not be at the same capacity as when it was new, but it should be pretty long-lasting. You haven't used many charge cycles.

I'm under the impression that the iPod Classic synchronizes with your computer's clock when you connect it (and the manual for my 120gb backs that up), so connecting it to your computer should correct the time.

The iPod Classic is designed to hold your entire music collection and can be used with many accessories to play while traveling, while at work, while in the car, and while at home in different locations of the house, but it's up to you how you choose to use it.

  • How do I set a time zone not in the standard list?

I would like to set my time zone to Lord Howe Standard TIme(LHST), which is GMT +10:30hrs. How do I do that? How do I check that the standard time servers know when to change for daylight saving time?
    Regards, Rob

    1. I have to log out and back in for the change to take effect in system preferences and the clock
I did warn you about this ("This change will not show up in the Menu Bar clock until you have logged out and back in"), although when I did it the change was reflected in System Preferences immediately. To reset the clock without logging out,
    killall SystemUIServer
You can do this while you are still root, i.e. before the exit statement, or after it.
    2. Lord Howe is the only place listed in the "closest city" list
Well, that's because it isn't in the Preference Pane's list of places so it cannot compute distances.
    3. If I click anywhere on the world map, the time zone changes to whatever I clicked on and I have to follow your instructions, then log out and in again, to get back to Lord Howe time
The obvious answer is don't click on the map!
I can't understand why Apple hide this stuff. I think there should be a way to manually set the time zone offset as well as daylight saving start and end dates - we aren't all idiots. At the very least they should make all the time zones in the zoneinfo directory available, perhaps under a checkbox marked "rare zones" or similar.
Well, I suggest you send Apple Feedback about this.
Thank you all for your efforts, if anyone can solve the issues above I'd be very grateful.
Actually the changes to add Lord Howe are relatively trivial, if you know what you are doing. One complication is that "Lord Howe" would have to be added as a localizable string: don't know what might happen if it were missing. I'll play around some more, but don't hold your breath!

  • 'Recently Played' times incorrect for videos.

Overall, I'm loving my Apple TV, but the only problem I have is this:
After watching a movie/TV show on my Apple TV and then syncing with iTunes, the videos that I've watched are showing up in my 'Recently Played' playlist in iTunes but their 'Last Played' time is incorrect. The time shown is usually in the future, maybe eight or so hours ahead of the actual time.
Songs played on the Apple TV show up in iTunes with the 'Last Played' time correct, the problem only happens with videos.
It's not a major issue, but it's annoying me a bit because my Recently Played playlist is all messed up.
Is anyone else having this problem? Anyway to fix it?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
This is a known issue, and Macfixit has this to say about it -
    Late-Breakers
    Friday, March 30 2007 @ 04:43 PM PDT
Apple TV Special Report: Incorrect time setting
It appears that many Apple TVs are displaying the wrong time -- generally several hours ahead of the current, actual time as maintained by the host Mac/PC. This causes issues with the "Last played" time-stamp, which may erroneously show a future time for the last playback.
This is an issue into which Apple is looking, and may necessitate an Apple TV software revision.

  • Annoying "play time" pop-up

I have two 3rd gen aTVs, and for some reason one of them insist on telling me how long I have been playing a movie or music. This isn't a very big deal, but it still annoys me. I have checked to see if I have set them up differently, but I cannot find anything. Even after installing upgrades and/or reset the the one showing the play time in the upper right corner of the screen every 30 minutes. Has anybody else experienced this, and found a solution to the "problem"?
I have tried searching but  cannot find an answer, or even the question, anywhere.

    Hi,
I would open the Hard Drive icon and go to System/Library/CoreServices and the Installer  app and launch it then Quit it to see if that clears it.
If that does not work restart the computer and hold down the ALT+CMD+P+R keys together until you have heard three Start up Bongs then let the Start up continue.

  • Setting a Time / Date period limit to view a Movie

I am creating an interactive presentation and distributing it
on CD. The presentation will be password protected - all very easy
The part I need help with is - I want to be able to set a
time / date restriction on the presentation. ie. the presentation
will no longer work after a specific date or alternatively only
work on a specified date - to prevent the presentation from being
    viewed after a set date.
Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

    if the systemDate>date(2009,1,15) then halt
Put that command in your startMovie handler. If the current
    date on the
computer is greater than Jan 15, 2009, then the program will
    not play.
Obviously, you can change the numbers in that date to match
    the date you
    wish to use.

  • How do i set my time capsule up to function as an external hard drive

How do i set my time capsule up to function as an external hard drive? Is this even possible? I had a friend tell me it woudl be a good set up to get a time capsule with my Macbook Air to use as a gigantic external hard drive but then was unbale to wlak me through the setup after I bought the equipment. Any suggestions?

It depends on what you already have equipment wise..
    Just bridge the TC..
I cannot walk you through it either if you use v6 airport utility.. due to my refusing to run Lion until it gets network issues sorted.
Download and run the real utility http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1482
    Go to manual setup..
    Internet tab
Connection sharing.. select off bridge mode in the drop down box.
You can then if you like turn off wireless under airport wireless.. The TC is now a plain network client with hard disk.
Personally I would keep the wireless on but sort the channels manually if you already have a wireless AP or router.

  • How do I set up Time Machine to work with an Iomega network hard drive?

I have just bought a new iMac having switched from Windows, and am very much a beginner when it comes to all things Apple. Previously I had used my NAS hard drive with my old windows pc. i successfully used it to transfer a lot of data from the old pc to the iMac but can't seem to get it recognised when I try to configure time machine. I have downloaded the latest version of Iomega Home storage manager which appears in the application folder in the dock, but when I click on The HSM icon it just disappears and nothing happens. I can access the drive through the Bonjour service and can see its contents in Finder. I have looked through the forums here but much of the info assumes a level of knowledge that i don't have. Is there an 'idiot's guide' anywhere to enable me to set up time machine to use the network hard drive?

You would probably benefit from a couple of things, first going through these 2 links
Time Machine FAQs & Time Machine Troubleshooting.
If you still have questions there is a TM forum, because TM is part of OS X you will find the forum in the Snow Leopard forum. Click Apple Support Communities and in the search field type Snow Leopard. Once you are in the correct forum you can narrow your search by clicking Refine this list.

  • Set up time not considered

    Hello ,
    I am using PP-PI.
The resource category is '001' machine and having std formulas 'sap001' for setup and sap002 for processing and other formula 'sap006'
The recipe has setup time and processing time .When i run MRP the planned orders are created  but no set up time is considered in it.
I tested the formula in resource and it calculates set up time.
What settings i need to check ?
Also, for the planned order , in det.scheduling tab system shows 'capacty requirments'(in min).
But this does not match with production dates.
    Example  - prod dates-  10.06.09 ( 14:00:00) to 24.06.2009(24:00:00) = 10*1440(days avlb capacity) + 14:00 =  14410 mins.
But the capacity req shown is 15000 mins( opr qty *processing time).
What settings i need to chk  ? kindly advise
    Regards
    ShankarR

    Shankar,
Have you maiantained the scheduling parameters  for planned order in OPU5?
If not then execute the same & under 'Detailed scheduling mark 'Scheduling' & 'Generate capacity requiremnt'.
Regarding the differnce in capacity requirement & scheduling, make sure you use similar formulas in scheduling as well as capacity tab page.
    Hope this helps you.
