Fly out panel?

Just looking at today's beautiful site of the day and admiring the Facebook flyout panel pinned to the right of this site and thought I'd have a go at something similar. Looks fairly straight forward but have tried to achive this with the built in widgets and can't seem to find one that I can customise to so this. Immediate thoughts were it was done with a tabbed panel on mouseover but can't seem to get this to work. Thought possibly an accordion but that doesn't seem to so it either. Any ideas appreciated. Is it a trip to Edge animate or can this be done nativly inside Muse?

I am looking for the same thing? Also have a great deal of time wasted trying to source code for adding the Facebook Activity feed similar to the one featured on this site. I have registered as a Facebook Developer but have been unable to find "Create App Id" button anywhere despite spending houts following the instructions. Totally frustrated now.

New laptop with InDesign CS6 installed will not allow mouse to click within the fly-out windows.

At first, it wouldn't allow me to click on the Selector tool either; had to press "V" on the keyboard to toggle to it. I can open and close the fly outs, but the mouse doesn't recognize anything clickable within the window itself, from the pages, to the styles etc. I checked the other CS6 software, and no problem in either Photoshop or Illustrator (didn't go beyond those). It's a new computer so there are no old version issues; we've uninstalled and reinstalled twice, including any updates and fixes out there. Any ideas? I'm dead in the water here....

I am missing the add objects section from the fly out menu in Photoshop CS6. 3d workspace

I am missing the "add objects" section from the fly out menu in Photoshop CS6. I am in the 3D workspace of Photoshop. "Scene" is highlighted and I have clicked on the little fly out menu in the upper right hand corner of that panel. The whole section that should contain, Add objects, delete objects, duplicate objects, all the way through reverse order is missing. The add lights section above and render section below it is there. I am not new to Photoshop, but I am new to the 3D section of Photoshops work space.
I do know about creating a new layer in the layers tab and merging the objects together trick. But I kind of would like for the program to work correctly as I am sure that doing it that way will cause some sort of problems later in the work process.

Photoshop says that my software is up to date. I use Photoshop daily and everything else works just fine. I have looked through this forum and there is someone else who had the same issue as me but their question was not given a solution. So that is why I choose to post it again.

I've made tests with four different 3rd party tools: OpenGL Extension Viewer, GPU Caps Viewer, Compute4Cash OpenCL Diagnostic Tool and Mudlord's Glide3x wrapper tester. All those tools report no problems with my video card driver and OpenGL/CL.
I have contacted nVidia and based on reports from the tools and visual tests from GPU Caps Viewer nVidia support doesn't see a problem with my driver.
I found sniffer_gpu.exe which according to Adobe Help pages is a kind of diagnostic tool and determines whether Photoshop uses the graphic card OpenCL or not. Here is the output:

On the other hand, I have your word that there is no problem with Photoshop not recognizing OpenCL for my card and that nVidia driver has problems. Can you justify this somehow? Perhaps you could provide more details on technical level, or another utility to run and extract details, to at least identify the problem Photoshop has and hopefully solve it on either side.
P.S. During tests there were two things which I noticed, but they are probably not related to the issue:
1. One tool reports the lack of Windows registry key SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows (NT)/CurrentVersion/OpenGLDrivers. But according to your previous statement, Photoshop only uses OS calls, no registry and according to nVidia, this key is not used in Windows 7.
2. During some tests GPU Caps Viewer reports that "OpenCL CPU not supported on the selected platform". This is not complaining about GPU, only about CPU. But Photoshop is complaining about GPU, so it shouldn't be relevant.

Creating fly-out menus for website in InDesign CS5

Hi all, I've just upgraded to CS5, and am looking into the new release of InDesign CS5. In the past, I had created websites in MS Publisher, and then exported the publication as website as html. I then uploaded the resulting HTML to my website using Cute FTP.
I dabbled around with Adobe Contribute, and still found it rather restrictive, as I could not create coloured text boxes, text frames, roll-over buttons and etc.
Hoping that I'll have better luck with InDesign CS5. I'm intending to create my website from scratch, and when finished, hope I can export the publication in InDesign as HTML.
Just wondering if there is a feature in InDesign CS5 that can create drop down or fly-out menus for a website?

It might be easier to invest in something like Quite Imposing, an impostion plugin for Acrobat. It's far less expensive than a full-blown professional imposition program and if you need to impose a lot of PDFs, it will pay for itself quickly.

How can I reduce the width between search results and the preview fly-out?

Hello, I am using a custom masterpage that reduces the overall width of page content but I am seeing an issue with my enterprise search site. The search results look fine but there is a large horizontal gap between the results and document preview window
(when mousing over a word/excel/powerpoint result). This means that the preview fly-out is hardly visible unless the user scrolls horizontally to the right. Can someone tell me how to set a reduced width between the results web part and the preview window?

I think the issue is with the Callout orientation, have you customized the page and if so then you can customize the callout.
check "beakOrientation" and you can set values like topBottom, leftRight as per your requirement.

Bug in 1.5.1 Aktive Report Tab - Navigator fly out not working

Hello,
I open a report and keep it as the aktive tab. Now I minimize the report navigator. When I try to access the navigator it pops up and immediately collapses again.
When I change the aktive tab to a worksheet the navigator works correctly.
Client: Win XP SP2, JDK 1.6u10 and SQL-Developer 1.5.1 Build 5440

I am getting the same thing, with my only difference being on JDK 1.6.0_06 - with a report as the current tab, I cannot restore the left hand pane (I have Connections, Reports, Files and Extended Search visible) as the fly out collapses again almost immediately. As with Marcus, if I change the current tab to a worksheet (or Object tab or PL/SQL Editor), then the fly out stays out and I can select restore.

Nesting fly out menus in an accordion

Is it possible to install a vertical fly out menu nested
within a 150px wide accordion. I'm creating a navigation system
that will allow customers to browse products by either make of
vehicle, product manufacture, and product category. I thought I
would use the accordion for the 3 browse methods and then menu
inside it. I've set the accordion to expand vertically to
accommodate the varying menu lengths. However, the sub-menus are
not flying out. The Accordian is nested in a 170px div. Any
suggestions for making this work? Or other suggestions for an
elegant solution for long menus with lots of sub_menus. The menus
will be populated dynamically as products are removed and added in
the database.

You could do this easier if you used dependent dropdowns for
the vehicle, product manufacture, and product category with a
search option, this would eliminate a lot of work and confusion.
This might help, I have been trying to find a good extension
for menu's that I could either have static or turn dynamic, I just
purchased Pop Menu Magic from Project Seven

I can insert these menu's in the Accordion and do not have
the problem that you are having with the flyouts, if you are using
2 or more use server side include.
What impressed me the most was when I submitted a inquiry
about the product I received a response by phone from Al Sparber,
who walked me though the extension and then when I had a question
after purchase he was right there to help, not going to get that
kind of service from very may companies.
One last thing, remember that the search engines are not able
to index AJAX or SPRY so this might be a concideration when
designing this and look at menu systems that are search engine
friendly.

Fly out menus missing

Hi,
I am a beginner and I've just installed Illustrator CS5 for the first time and when i click tools like rectangle there is no fly out menu like the one that appears in the tutorials. I found that I can cycle through the different options such as "rounded rectangle" by holding ALT while clicking. I have restarted and rebooted. This is a pain especially as I am trying to learn about all the available tools.

Positioning of the menu fly-outs

Hi,
I have created a horizontal menu using CSS on a JSP. This is a three level menu, meaning, it is having fly-out sub menus till third level.
The problem is that, the contents in the menu are quite a bit so for viewing all the entries, one has to use the scroll button present on the mouse ( which is kinda irritating on the laptops). Is there any way to keep the position of these menus relative? According to the size of the menu, and the screen size, the position should be displayed. Or, like in windows we have for start button, only a certain number of entries should be displayed and for rest of them, a new button should be displayed.

This is at end more a HTML/CSS/JS matter than JSP matter. JSP is just there to allow integration between Java and the HTML/CSS/JS. There are HTML/CSS/JS forums at webdeveloper.com and dynamicdrive.com. Good luck.

Make transparent Spry vertical fly out menu

I followed one tutorial on adding a Spry vertical flyout menu for my nav. I did it and it looks great. May I ask one question? I'm stumped on how to make the flyout menu for "For Sale" and "For Rent" flyout to the right. It works awesome without the sidebar1 div wrapping it. It's probably a laughably easy setting in the css, but I'm still learning.
I did try to help myself first by reading tutorials and watching AdobeTV videos, but they tend to cover how to stylize the menu vs troubleshooting.
I'm guessing that I've messed up the given css that comes with the menu when inserting it into the web page, so you'll probably recommend me delete the menu and it's css file and just start clean. Will you take a look at what I have so far. Here is the link:

Sorry for the 'green' post. I tell my daughters to read instructions before doing their homework, and I failed to read all the 'before you post' instructions. In my panic to get help for this old mind I have, I simply reached out too fast. I'm sorry to the forum.
I just updated my CS3 Spry files to the latest version from the link that you provided. Thanks for the help. After uploading the new spry filed to the site, I'm going back to start over and avoid my lack of skills in the vertical fly out menu and try an accordian menu for now.

Photoshop Elements 8 flyout menu - will not fly out!

None of my flyout menus will fly out. I hover my cursor over the little black triangle, and nothing happens. I click on the item and then hover my cursor over the little black triangle and nothing happens. I click directly on the little black triangle and nothing happens. I choose a menu item and check the options bar at the top, and no other tools in the group are offered. Is there a setting or something that is preventing me from accessing the hidden menus?

Format Chart Context (Fly Out) Menu

Hello all,
In my deployed CR 8.5 application the "Format Chart" fly out menu does launch any subsequent dialogs. When I select a chart and right click and hover over "Format Chart" the fly out menu appears with "Template", "General", "Titles" and "Grid" but nothing happens when I select one of them.I have the "sscsdk80.dll" deployed with the application.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Attempting to click/hold click is not expanding the tool fly out menus in Illustrator after the latest update. I did discover that alt + left click will rotate tools, but I would still like to be able to access the fly out menus. Any help would be appreciated!

First of all, I´m not a IT guy...just a fan of "firefox".
Regarding your question, since this issue started with the 34.0.5
version of "firefox" it´s my opinion that it´s "firefox" the one that
should be updated/patched to work again with "netflix".
to fix such issue.

Fly out menu driving me absolutely nuts!

I am so frustrated. I have used PluginLab before to create
menus and have had minor problems. This time, I am about to scream.
Now that I got that off my chest. I would appreciate any
expience or other option for help.
I have created a flyout vertical menu with PluginLab. I
created it about half way through and thought I would test it out.
Worked fine, So I completed the menu.... did not fly out.! So send
for support.... apparently it had put an extra /bloom into its
pathway. So I put that pathway in and it worked.! Everything was
fine, for the operation of the menu...... but the actual url was
changing.... some reason the /bloom was getting doubly added to the
address to find the pages???
So I took out the /bloom.......
uploaded and then the fly outs did not work.
In frustration I moved a copy of pluginlab folder in both
levels /TEST and /bloom. did not work for fly outs or right
address.
So then I took out the /bloom out of the menu structure......
It all worked fine. Right flyouts.... Right addresses.
Support got back to me stated that the pluginlab folder
should be only in the /bloom and that the url should also be
/bloom. so I changed it to that.... nothing works.... changed it
back to the way I had tweaked it (where it worked), does not work.
Basically I have a very disfuctional menu system.
Any help appreciated!! Since my support seems to be in a very
late or early time zone.
