If I understand your question correctly.
You would go for Function module extraction for generic data sources. There is a sample function module given by SAP ..RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE you can check this for functionality..
For enhancements search forum..you get lots of posts..

You use an enhanced receiver determination to have a mapping program determine the receivers of the message dynamically at runtime. Instead of creating the receivers in the receiver determination manually, you assign a mapping to the receiver determination and this returns a list of receivers at runtime.

Enhanced (Mapping-Based) Interface Determination

You typically use an enhanced interface determination if the source message has an element with occurrence 0 ... unbounded (for multiple items of a data record) and you want multiple messages (for the individual items) to be generated at runtime.

Hi,
Im new to WDA.
I need to include new fields in WD application in e-recruitment (Internal and External Candidate profile).
HRRCF_C_CANDPROFILE_UI is main component and has two applications for Internal and External candidate respectively. It has Road Map Pattern steps and each step calling components like HRRCF_C_PERSONL_DATA_UI and HRRCF_C_WORK_EXP_UI.
I need to include new fields in each component and display into the screen with edit, insert and display functionality, additionally these should displayed in Date Over view part from Smartform/Adobe form.
Can I achieve above all by Enhancement or modification from standard is must. I would like to keep my all development only in Enhancement hook. Is this possible?
I appreciate if you would guide me to Design and Develop to achieve my requirement.

Hi Naddy,
Check the standard tables that are being used in the application for display/change/create of data. If these tables have a "Customer Include", your first step should be to define the Customer Include Structure and define your new custom components in it (the ones that you need to show on the statndard view.)
Step 2: Create and enhancement of the standard component in which the view is present. In this enhancement, update the context so that the new fields that are present in the standard table (due to Customer Include) become available in the Context.
Step 3: Create enhancement of the view on which the field has to be included. Firstlyupdate context of view from context of controller. Now ur fields will be available in context of view. Also create context attributes that will control visibility, read-only etc of UI elements. Now enhance the layout of the view, create your custom fields and bind value/visibilty/read-only etc to the respective context attributes that you have created.
Also write a post exit method for domodify and check the mode of the standard application (create/change/display). Accordingly set values of the read-only, visibility etc.

Customization and Enhancment of ICSS B2B 5.0 (Java )

I have to customize and enhance the functionality of CRM 5.0 ICSS B2B web front end.
i studied the ISA50DevExtGuideConcepts21.pdf document,according to the document i am using NWDS for development.
I am following the below mentioned methodology.
1 > Downloaded NWDS 7.0
2> Configured the NWDS to point to remote j2ee engine
      (WindowPreferencesSAP J2ee Engine
        Message server host
        Message Server Port )
3> Got the latest source code i.e sap.comcrmicsswebicss_b2b.war
     extracted the source code.
4> created An Enterprise Application Project
5> Created Web Module Project
6> Added the created Web Module Project into the Enterprise Application Project
7> Followed the 1017761 note to deploy the standard application with different   name
8> Generated the custom_app.ear file.(J2EE Explorer Perspective)
9> Deployed the application using NWDS deploy option.(J2EE Explorer Perspective custom_app.earright click u will have option for deploy onto j2ee engine--asks SDM password)
when i try to access the deployed custom application using

SAP support suggested me to apply the patch.my java stack is at SP11 and

i studied in the ISA50DevExtGuideConcepts21.pdf some where they said
about the enabling the debugging and about DTR ,if find any details do let me know asap.

Hi,
As we already have std BAPIs for creating contract like, BAPI_CONTRACT_CREATE and BAPI_CONTRACT_CREATEFROMDATA, what is the need for going to a ZBAPI?
Remember that ZBAPIs will not be supported by SAP and if any screen seq changes with custom fileds etc, BDC will not work. Try to use std BAPI if possible.

Continued Support and enhancements for Toplink Essentials?

Will the support for Toplink Essentials (for JPA 1.0) continue through this forum and the issue list at Glassfish dev [1]? Will further enhancements be taken up on Essentials? Or will all further improvements happen only on EclipseLink?

Going forward all future feature and enhancement work is being done in EclipseLink as it is replacing TopLink Essentials in both the Oracle stack as well as in GlassFish V3. We encourage you to upgrade to EclipseLink when it makes sense for you and any enhancements you wanted to see in TopLink Essentials be requested against EclipseLink.

Hi Rajeev,
Depending on the kind of data, you might be able to do additional cleansing using Universal Data Cleanse transform. This transform comes with some cleansing content which will help parse Name/Firm/Title data. In addition to that you can also parse dates, phones, SSN, emails.
If you are dealing with party data (like part numbers etc), you can create your own cleansing content (cleansing dictionary entries and associated rules) and parse your data using Data Cleanse.

Slightly OT, Audio editing and enhancement tools

HI,
I know this is a little off topic, but is needed for Audio in CP.
What are the best applications for editing and enhancing any audio in my CP files....is it software by Adobe or Izotope for eample.
I want to get rid of some background noise amp up the volume of the speaker/narrator & enhance the voice tones etc....
I know we have Adobe Audition, but I see that as aminly and editinmg tool rather than the removal of background noises etc, but what do others use for this purpose...?

Adobe Audition is an excellent tool for removing background noises as well as doing all the other tasks you described.
I think you need to investigate Audition's abilities a little more, as it seems from your post you are still quite unfamiliar with the tool. There are quite a few good video tutorials about it on Adobe TV.

Scanning and enhancing an X-ray?

I am working on a creative project and am trying to scan an old X-ray of my ankle and enhance it in Photoshop CS3 to extract the image detail (the bone) from the background. The X-ray is, of course, very dark - when you hold it up to the light you see lots of detail but when you scan it the resulting image is extremely dark and there's very little contrast between the bone imagery and the background. I tried to adjust the image to bring out the detail, but am pretty new to Photoshop so did not have much luck.
Are there any special steps I can take to improve the scan and/or any Photoshop operations that can be used to separate the detail from the background?

Scanning an x-ray is exactly like scanning a negative except I think the densities are greater in the x-ray making it a bigger challenge for typical flatbed transparency scanners. If you're having problems with "shadow" detail, you may be revealing the weaknesses of your scanner. It may be necessary to have someone scan your ankle with a higher end scanner.
I worked on a project several years ago where I scanned about thirty x-rays which were then hand colored. Perhaps a different project than yours but the mid range flatbed scans I did at the time worked quite well. Today I'd probably try the drum scanner.

Is there any way in ABAP to find the Custom Tcodes, programs and enhancements only for specific country in our present system.

Use the table name TSTC to find the custom program and t-code.
To find the custom enhancement use t-code : CMOD.

User exit - A user exit is a three character code that instructs the system to access a program during system processing.
SXX: S is for standard exits that are delivered by SAP. XX represents the 2-digit exit number.
UXX: U is for user exits that are defined by the user. XX represents the 2-digit exit number

Types of Exits
There are several different types of user exits. Each of these exits acts as hooks where you can attach or "hang" your own add-ons.
Menu Exits
Menu exits add items to the pulldown menus in standard SAP applications. You can use these menu items to call up your own screens or to trigger entire add-on applications.
SAP creates menu exits by defining special menu items in the Menu Painter. These special entries have function codes that begin with "+" (a plus sign). You specify the menu items text when activating the item in an add-on project.
Screen Exits
Screen exits add fields to screens in R/3 applications. SAP creates screen exits by placing special subscreen areas on a standard R/3 screen and calling a customer subscreen from the standard screens flow logic.
Function Module Exits
Function module exits add functions to R/3 applications. Function module exits play a role in both menu and screen exits.
When you add a new menu item to a standard pull down menu, you use a function module exit to define the actions that should take place once your menu is activated.
Function module exits also control the data flow between standard programs and screen exit fields. SAP application developers create function module exits by writing calls to customer functions into the source code of standard R/3 programs.
These calls have the following syntax:
CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION 001.
Field Exits
Field exits allow you to create your own programming logic for any data element in the Dictionary. You can use this logic to carry out checks, conversions, or business-related processing for any screen field. Example: The data element BBBNR identifies a companys international location number. You might want to set up your R/3 System so that all international location numbers are larger than 100.
The field exit concept lets you create a special function module that contains this logic.
You assign the special function module to the data element BBBNR. You then assign the module to any programs and screens in which users can add new international location numbers. When you activate your field exit, the system automatically triggers your special routine whenever a user enters a company location number.
