FM CLAF_CLASSIFICATION_OF_OBJECTS to get the Country characteristics .

Hello Gurus,
I am trying to use the FM CLAF_CLASSIFICATION_OF_OBJECTS to get the characteristics name and the corresponding value by Importing-CLASSTYPE = '023'
OBJECT and OBJECTTABLE = 'MCH1' etc.
The table T_OBJECTDATA is returning all the characteristics. I have to use only the country characteristics like (US, JP).
Can any one suggest what will be the key field to read the table T_OBJECTDATA?

Hi,
In T_OBJECTDATA there is a field called ATINN which is a no corresponding to ATNAM, the characteristics name in table CABN. Please check the ATINN corresponding to your requirement.

Hi Group,
I have a requirement as under:
the Smartform has to display the COUNTRY NAME - always and it should be printed in ENGLISH only.
The Smartform is having a Alternative option(for printing the Address) and for YES part(for certain countries) - the fm "ADDRESS_INTO_PRINTFORM" is being used and for the NO(for the rest of the countries) part an ADDRESS TEMPLATE is being used....
The issues are:
- the fm 'ADDRESS.......FORM" is printing the COUNTRY Name for certain cases and for the rest it is not...
- the Address template has no option to do any manipulation on the COUNTRY Name to come
how can have the COUNTRY NAME to appear in both the cases(YES part and NO part) printed in ENGLISH always?
I tried for a USEREXIT "EXIT_SAPLSADR_900" but still not able to tweak it and get the COUNTRY NAME always in ENGLISH.
Kindly provide your valuable inputs.

To get the country code...

Hi...I need some help...I need to get the country code of the client browsing.For example..If the server is located in US and the client is browsing from China...the server shoulod know that this client is from China,,how to get the client's country code in the server.
From URL ,,its explicit,,i,e if th URL reads as www.dfd.co.ch,,there from url i can get the country...but if the URL is same for all,,then how to get the end users country code???

You can only take a "best guess" judging upon their browser locale settings. They client browser sends that with the "Accept-Language" header.
API methods are in ServletRequest: request.getLocale() and request.getLocales();

How to get the country name from IP address?

Hello All,
I am able get the IP address of the visitors by using
String ipAddress = request.getRemoteAddr(); .
I'm also getting the host name by using
InetAddress iaddress = InetAddress.getByName( ipAddress );
String ipaddr = iaddress.getHostName();
But... I'm not able to find the Country's name from which that IP is coming from.
Is there any class in JAVA that will help me find the respective country's name??

There is no magic way to tell country from IP address. You can guesstimate the country using a IP-to-country mapping database, with some accuracy.
I use the free version of the GeoIP (google for it) database; it is a file that you download, and they have a Java API or you can roll your own. They also have better quality databases for a fee, and apparently a web service. I prefer a file because it's faster and more reliable to check against a memory data structure than to make a long distance TCP/IP call. The web service isn't magic either; it is just an interface to the same database, and it doesn't give 100% accuracy, nothing will. If you use the file you may want to make it a monthly to-do item to download the latest version. There are other similar databases around too; google for "geolocation".

How to get the country to print when printing envelopes or labels

Has anyone figured out how to configure Address Book so that the country field can be printed on envelopes or labels? Haven't found any pref or setting to get it to show up on those items.

In my iOS app Capabilities.languages[0] is returning only the language, not the country code.
Does Adobe Air provide any way to access to the country code in this case?

How to get the Ship Country?

Assume I already have the invoice number, and company code(there is only one item in the invoice), how to get the ship country?
I have the following logic to read it.
1. Get the delivery note Number and Company code.
2. Get Delivery comapny code, plant and storage location in delivery note.
3. get the customer in table t001w.
4. get the country of this customer.
5. If the customer is not found in step 4, go to step 6.
6. get the country of delivery company code in t001.
Please help to identify this logic is correct or not?
Or do you have any other way to get it?

Your logic looks correct but I can suggest two simplified one which are:
1) with the invoice number you can go and check the foreign trade section in accounting document.
2)you get the delivery number from the doc flow and then check the ship to party and check the same in VD01 Customer master data table under the Sales data Partner Functions

Get the value from destination db table

Hi,
I have a below requiremnt. Please suggest me how to do this.
From source(Oracle), I am getting three columns data and I have to insert this data into destination table. Two columns i have mapped diectly. Upto here no issue.
Think that my third column is country name and in the destination I have to insert the countryid instead of country name. Country master table is in destination db.How can I get the country id using the country name and how to insert this into my destination
table along with other two columns.

If you're not familiar with the lookup component, you may want to follow the guidance at http://www.katieandemil.com/ssis-lookup-transformation-example-sql-server.
If you need country id or null, it sounds like you could use "Ignore Failure" for how to handle rows with no matching entries.

Not sure about Google Maps but this is fairly easy to do with Bing Maps. I've used Bing Maps with SharePoint lists fairly regularly. Here are some blog posts:

Taxonomyclientservice.asmx - GetTermsByLabel - hwo to get the correct Term Set Name??

So I need to pull out the sharepoint GUID programmatically use the taxonomy web service.
I need to get the GUID for "Europe". But unfortunately there are 2 Europes in our term store management.
There is a term set name of [Region] which has a "Europe". There is a term set name of [Country] which has a "Europe".
I want to get the GUID of the [Region] > Europe.
Here is the code, any way to modify it to do this? At the minute it just gets the [Country] one as its first in the list.

The link you provided is not exactly the type of grouping I need, close to it.
After some researching, I managed to achieved this query:

The result was not exactly what I needed, it did not aggregate from the "Vendor Name" together, but the URL was appearing in the Data Area. I tried to use a specific Vendor Name, filtering by country and adapting the query, just for testing:
Pivot=Table.Pivot(Source,{"DIRECT ENERGY"},"Column3","Column4"),
#"Filtered Rows" = Table.SelectRows(Pivot, each ([Column1] = "United States"))
in

Once again, failure. For some reason it started to show data I have for on Column 5 on the 3rd row of the pivot table, really can't understand where that came from.
Considering the last paragraph of your reply, I would understand that by standard the Data Area of the pivot table would only show numbers, but my queries above made the text (URL) appear, full text. What am I now uncertain is if I cannot have a pivot,
even using power query, to aggregate row with the same data (Vendor Name) showing the URL on the Data Area as a single row.
Because until last week, if someone asked me if it was possible to have text on the Data Area of the pivot, I would affirm that it is not, but seems that I managed to do so (Although I am not certain, because I was unable to figure out the Pivot that I get
as result from the query).

If you removed the device from your iCloud account rather than using the "Stop Lost Mode" option, then you will most certainly need to restore the iPhone, and that will require a computer running iTunes.
