FM Clearing of a down payment years later

Good morning,
Situation:
- We create a downpayment of a PO in year X.
- Due to local legislation, expenses budget lines can be carry forward 1 year.
- We received the invoice in year X+5 and then I try to do the clearing with the downpayment.
How should the system work? I guess that we should get a status "payment" with no effect in the budget, no??
However when I try to do the clearing I am getting the error FMCF701 "automatic carry forward not allowed for documents chain ....".
Please let me know.
Regards,
Daniel

Hi Nikolina,
Hmmm... What could it be? Well, some additional checks that could be done;
a) go to FMDERIVE, activate the trace and try to replicate the same document. You will find in the tracing window the input data for these misterious documents
b) debug the process on the creation of FM documents

Eli

  • TDS not reversed at the time of clearing Vendor after down payment is made

    Dear SAP Gurus,
I have a problem in Withholding tax. I have made a down payment and tax is deducted on that.
Then I raised an invoice on which tax is deducted.
Now I am trying to clear a part of the amount in which I have raised an invoice and the TDS is not getting reversed.
    Can someone help me please.
    1) I have checked the "central invoice proportionately" in WHT type for payment posting.
    2) The TDS on the invoice has not been paid.
I am getting the problem with this vendor only.
    Regards,
    Hari

    Hi,
You have to assign TDS tax codes at the time of payment as well as at the time of invoice in vendor master.
when you are making down payment TDS should be deducted on the down payment amount (base value)
    at the time of payment
say Rs5000/- you are making down payment ..........now tds is deducted on 5000/- and bill value is 60000/-
Now you are creating an invoice with FB60 or MIRO , you chage the TDS base value (bill value- down payment)=(60000-5000)=55000/- and assigned to TDS code (at the time of Invoice ) and make TDS base value as Zero against the TDS TAX codes (at the time of payment) and simulate it and post it so that TDS will be deducted on Rest of the amount i.e 55000/-
for checking , you can manually calculate TDS on 60000/- =(tds on 5000+ tds on 55000/-)
now you clear The down payment against the Invoice.

  • FM update - clearing of a down payment

    Hi everyone!
    So, this is the case:
I have posted two invoices and two down payments (transaction F-48 for down payments and FB60 for invoices). Then I closed all those documents with one transaction (F-44: clear vendor). The result in FM are some strange amounts that were not posted. The balance is ok on all those documents because this strange amount is added and reduced at the same time. It looks something like this: one document was on 25 units and the other on 50. These amounts are posted and they are reduced as they should be, but I also get the amount of 16,67 (in + and -) which exists only in FM reports. I don't know where did this came from and more importantly...why. Please help

  • Clearing of down payments on assets from prior year

    Hello,
we have the following problem with an Asset under Construction (AuC) that has been migrated from a legacy system with down payments in a prior year.
Migration has taken place in 2007 (within the year). The down payment has not been cleared in 2007, but left on the asset for 2008. The clearing of the down payment on vendor side has already taken place in 2007.
When the AuC shall now be settled to a final asset via AIBU, the error message AW605 "Down payment to recipient YYYY area 01 amount XXXX not cleared" appears.
When the down payment on the Asset under Construction shall be cleared first with transaction ABSO (TType 181 "Clearing of down payments from current year"), the following error message appears: AA571 "Not possible to post down payment clearing. There are no down payments".
In our SAP Version 6.0 there is NO transaction type "Clearing of down payments from prior year", though.
Would appreciate any indication how to deal with the issue now - do we need to create a special transaction type for this purpose? If yes, how to configure the settings so that SAP knows to clear down payments from prior year?
Thanks very much in advance for any help!
    Gabi

I replied to your second post
But my question is then how does the down payment appears in the CJI3 report
Also, I am aware of your initial post. I feel, the details you gave is insufficient. You have just said there are two down payments made against a PO one is reflecting in WBSE another one is not. It will be difficult for others to suggest you a proper solution, You will have to give more detials as how you made the two down payments and you should tell us apart from appearing in WBSE what are all the other differences ..etc., You should give as much details as possible.

  • Clear Vendor Down Payment F-54, Number range

    Hi Experts
I tried to clear the vendor down payment using the T-Code; F-54, It is displaying a error message as "Number Range 17 is Missing for the year 2010"
    Message no. F5150
    Diagnosis
The document type you specified has been allocated to a number range in fiscal year "2010" that has not been created.
    - Should we need to create a New Number range for this document type.
    -  Is this a New requirement in ECC 6.0?
    - Is this linked to the New GL feature?
    Please share your views.
    With Regards
    Siva

    Hi,
The document type you are using is referring to number range maintained with the id 17. You need to go to FBN1 transaction code and maintain a number range for id 17 for the year 2010.
Normally the accounting document number ranges are maintained year specific so that every new fiscal year will restart at 1 and not continue from last year.
As corrected by Ramnuja, you need to maintain number ranges for entry view and general ledger view (new GL feature).
For you the number range 17 has not been maintianed for 2010 and you need to maintain it.
    hope this helps.
    thanks and regards,

  • Customer Down payments clearing

    Hello All,
Clearing of some down payments documents were done by debiting and crediting same GL reconciliaton account.
    Please find the following details.
    Normal Customer Recon A/c - 13111000
    Special GL Customer Recon a/c - 33111000
Correct entry when we have cleared down payment:
DR/CR     Particulars          Spl. GL ind.     GL a/c no.     Amount(Rs.)
    DR     CUSTOMER          A     33111000     100
    CR     CUSTOMER               13311000     100
But in our case entry has posted as follows:
DR/CR     Particulars          Spl. GL ind.     GL a/c no.     Amount(Rs.)
    DR     CUSTOMER          A     13311000     100
    CR     CUSTOMER               13311000     100
and this was happned in previous years i.e. 2003,2004 and in 2005 and some documents were already Archived.
Request your valuable suggestion how to rectify the above mistake now i.e. how to post to the Correct GL account no.33111000 instead of wrong GL account no.13311000.
Thanks in advance for your reply.
    regards,

    Hello,
This is the normal system behaviour, when a down payment is bieng cleared the debit and credit will be posted to the same GL reconciliation account. (in your case 13311000)
33111000 - is only used to differentiate between normal items and special GL transaction. However, at the time of clearing the entries will be picked from the vendor master record. 13311000
    The following entry is correct.
DR/CR Particulars Spl. GL ind. GL a/c no. Amount(Rs.)
    DR CUSTOMER A 13311000 100
    CR CUSTOMER 13311000 100
There is no need to post across the reconciliation accounts.
    Regards,
    Ravi

  • Down Payment Clearing Document shows as open item

    Hi,
I made an Down Payment Request (f-47) for $ 1000; made a Down Payment on that request (f110) for $1000; posted an invoice (fb60) with $ 1000; cleared the down payment and invoice (f-54) for $1000.
Now in vendor open item s(fbl1n), both invoice (KR) and the clearing document (KA) are shown, while in cleared items, the down payment request (KA), down payment (KZ) and the clearing document (KA) are shown.
    My questions:
    1) Why the invoice and the clearing document are shown as open items?
    2) Why the clearing document is shown as both open item and cleared item?
    Thanks in advance

    Dear,
Do not worry this is standard behavoiur by the system..see the below flow...
    1. Create down payment request - F-47. (Open)
    2. Create downpayment from the request F-48. (Down payment is open)
    3. Clear downpayment F-54. (Invoice and payment are open in normal items and Downpayment and requests are cleared. So downpayment came to normal items.
You will need to clear these items manually...

  • Down Payment Clearing pushbutton in MIRO (SAP ECC6 EP4)

    Dear Experts,
As i am trying to do the same process in my organisation to post the DP in PO at header or item level and after that following the ME2DP process for posting DP and then i do MIGO.
After GR as i do MIRO process and select the PO there is no DOWN PAYMENT Push button on header level on MIRO Screen.
I already re-started the Business Function "LOG_MMFI_P2P" after that also it is not showing the push button.
Please kindly help in this to get that DOWN PAYMENT clearing button?
    Regards
    Arun Rai

    Hi,
I just re activated that module function and process this practise in the similar way SAP has guided in its library which i can tell you in the brief. I suppose that way will work for you.
Posting of Down Payment Clearings and Down Payments in Purchase order
    1. Create a purchase order with one or more items. To do this, on the SAP Easy Access screen choose Logistics -> Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Create ->Vendor/Supplying Plant Known (ME21N).
    a) In the item details, choose the Invoice tab page. In the Down Payment Category field, choose the Mandatory Down Payment or Voluntary Down Payment setting.
    Confirm your entry.
    b) Enter an amount in the Down Payment Amount field, or a percentage in the Down Payment % field.
    c) Enter a due date in the DP Date field.
    d) Save your entries.
    2. On the SAP Easy Access screen choose Logistics -> Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Reporting ->Down-Payment Monitoring for PO.
    3. In the Purch.Doc. field, enter the purchase order number of the purchase order you just created, and enter the appropriate due date interval.
    Choose Execute.
    4. Select the purchase order you created in the list and choose Create Down Payment Request.
The Down Payment Based on Purchase Orders screen appears.
    5. In the group box Execution, choose either Down Payment or Down Payment Request and then choose Continue.
Depending, either the Down Payment Request screen or the Down Payment screen appears.
    6. Change the proposed amount to be paid in the Down Payment Amount field and choose Continue.
    7. on the subsequent screens (similar to F-47 / F-48), enter the required data and post the document.
Posting of Down Payment Clearings in Logistics Invoice Verification
    Preparation for this process:
    1. Create a purchase order with one or more items. To do this, on the SAP Easy Access screen choose Logistics -> Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Create -> Vendor/Supplying Plant Known (ME21N).
    2. Use the Financial Accounting transactions (such as F-48) to create down payments for this purchase order.
    3. Post a goods receipt with reference to the purchase order you created. To do this, on the SAP Easy Access screen choose Logistics -> Materials Management -> Inventory Management -> Goods Movement -> Goods Movement (MIGO).
    Step to follow for Execution
    1. Post an invoice with reference to the purchase order you created. To do this, on the SAP Easy Access screen choose Logistics --> Materials Management --> Logistics Invoice Verification --> Document Entry --> Enter Invoice (MIRO).
    2. Check the invoice items and correct them if necessary.
    3. Choose the Down Payment Clearing pushbutton.
    4. In the Amount Entered column, enter all the amounts you want to use to clear the displayed down payments.
    Save your entries.
    5. Post the invoice.
    6. Display the invoice document. To do this, on the SAP Easy Access screen choose Logistics --> Materials Management --> Logistics Invoice Verification --> Further Processing --> Display Invoice Document (MIR4).
i Think the way all the process mention here will help to process your requirement becuase this worked for me and i follow the same way. One think which i like to share with you is i assigned the advance payment at document header level.
    Regards
    Arun

  • F-29 Down payment not clearing down payment request

    Hello,
I'm working to configure milestone billing plans in our sandbox environment. I'm able to create a sales order with the new order type that's linked to the billing plan, and I have successfully created the down payment request. I can see the two FM postings for value type 83 (the negative to 0100 and the positive to 0200). Then I post the F-29 down payment. I've referenced the sales order in the down payment. But I'm not seeing an FM posting for value type 58 to reduce the down payment request. The down payment request is not being cleared by the down payment. Do you have any suggestions for any of the following:
    - configuration I may have missed
    - information that may have been entered incorrectly on the F-29
I can see the uncleared down payment itself when I pull up the customer account of the payer. Did I miss a step to match up the F-29 to the down payment request? I've configured the step for automatic down payments in public sector management, and I made sure that the sales order type is the one indicated in that step and the document type of the F-29 is the down payment document type indicated in that step. Any guidance would be appreciated.
    Thank you,
    April

Check what is the accounting doc type for the down payment request.
If it is RV then use tcode F-28 to receive payment for the transaction, as you are receiving payment against invoice.
Hope this can assist you. Or contact your FI team member for understanding.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Clearing customer down payment without VAT code

    Dear Freinds
For normal cleared items ( between invoices and incoming payments) the VAT code doen't appear.
But while clearing a Customer Down payment request, when we are using a sp. GL Indicator it is asking for tax code
I want to clear customer down payment without tax code.According to the local legal requirement in the VAT report should not appear  any clearing with tax code even if Tax code has no tax.
Can anybody help me?? I tried changing the tax category of Sp. Gl Recon account to blank but then it doesn't allow to post a down payment request with tax applicable.
    Rgds
    Sudip

    Hi Ravindra
If we remove the tax category, then the problem is when we create a down payment request and do billing where tax rate is applicable, Entry will not happen in Accounting.
Only thing which I need is that at time of clearing the down payment request, putting tax code should not be mandatory.Just like when I am clearing a normal invoice (Inv. and incoming payment) no tax code is required.

    Dear,
i am following the SAP standard process for deducting TDS on down payment and invoices.
First i deduct the TDS on down payment and Then again full TDS amount on invoice not adjusted it in WHT tab in base amount after adjusting Advance payment.
in next process f-54 i cleared the advance payment against invoice so it reverse the invoice TDS amount to adjust the tds as per advance payment TDS.
In img i confiured the WHT for payment posting as by selecting "Central inv. prop." option in Central invoice option.

    Hi,
Looks we don't have any dedicated BAPI for F-54..You can check 'BAPI_ACC_INVOICE_RECEIPT_POST' for your requirement...
User-Exit you need to search for F-54.
