FM Enhancement in ECC6

Hello All,
When we have done some changes in a standard FM(ex: add a new parameter) in ECC6 will it be overwritten in the next upgrade?

Hi Rajesh,
After upgrade the STd FM or other standard repository objects which you might have changed will come in SPAU transaction , in that ur FM will be there and when will click that it will ask for option to RESET TO ORIGINAL or ADOPT MODIFICATIONS so u can adopt ur modifications there.

Upgrade 4.6C to ECC6.0 IT0000 can't be overviewed, can only be displayed..

dear all,
we are currently in the process of upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6.0
and we found this minor issue in the submodule PA:
using tcode pa20/pa30 we can not see any record of IT0000 Actions using 'overview'
but the all the detail actions can be displayed..
this is only happen in IT0000
other infotypes can be overviewed and can be displayed as normal.
anyone ever gone through the same issue?
we have updated patch for SAP HR : SP 32 and EA 7.
the authorization is SAP ALL.

we're still on the upgrade process. i can only share with you our current condition and the lesson learnt.
we have copy production, upgraded from 4.6C to ECC6.0
and we did not face authorization issue or any other main issues in HR cause we have not yet implemented the submodules e-recruitment/ESS/other sub modules that are being enhanced in ECC6.0
our technical team did the oracle database upgrade + 4.6C upgrade to ECC6.0 right away directly after the oracle database upgrade. TST production is considered ok. we only have some minor configurations to be done.
next when our tech team upgrade the oracle database to ver. 10 in R/3 4.6C production system, and there's a time lag (interval) where our 4.6C production system not directly upgraded to ECC6.0 after the oracle database upgrade done.
and current condition - production database oracle upgraded, the R/3 4.6C Prod has not yet being upgrade to ECC6.0,
R/3 4.6C production face the authorization issue (not HR module, but other modules)
we need to check and apply sap notes/release to solve some errors in 4.6C production system and related modules settle the authorization issue. current progress is still on the technical abap preparation and functional testing.
it's been scheduled the next step - tech team will upgrade the production system from to ECC6.0 within next week. we hope all will be ok.
from this experience, my suggestion is that you need to make sure basis team have implemented sap support packages module related/ enhancement packages- latest updated one in your 4.6C system, then you also needs to check sap release notes implemented related with your module.
would you share the steps have been done in upgrading your production system in detail?

Security upgrade with Enhancement pack 4 on ECC6

Hi Everyone,
Perhaps you already know SAP is prompoting upgrade via Enahncement packs
so we have upgraded ECC6 with Enhancement packs 4 and now that we have doen this , if you want to create a role in PFCG this prompts tp peform steps 2A to 2C in SU25
my question is
1.Did any one upgrade to EPH4 on ECC6
2.If you did , did you perform the steps ( 2A to 2C in SU25)
3.And also if you perform 2A and 2B , does this already write entires in PFCG ?
Any thoughts ?

only 2C, but after you have run 2A,2B, youll get your authorizations updated in your roles the next time you use the merge-authroizations function in PFCG

Enhancement-Point in ECC6 Issue

Hi all,
We recently did an Technical Upgrade from ECC5 to ECC6.
After the Upgrade, during the Syntax Check in one of the custome reports we developed, we are getting an error "The statements ENHANCEMENT-SECTION and ENHANCEMENT-POINT (without the STATIC addition ) can only be used in executable coding".
When I checked, i found that this comes from a standard include I_RFIDYYWT_FICA_SEL which is called inside out custom report. There is an Enhancement-Point without the STATIC addition and this is resulting in this issue.
Coudl you please let me know whether there is any way by which we can deactivate this Enhancement-Point or is there any other solution to over come this issue.

to find the user exits & Badi's for the T-code..
go to table TSTC>enter T-code and execute> get the Program for the t-code..
and go to-se38-->get the package attached to the t-code..
next go to t-code Se15>expand the enhacement tab>enter package under userexit and
                                                     execute you will get the list of exits
                                                     available...
                                                  -->enter package under Badi's tab and
                                                     execute you will get the list of Badi's
                                                     available...
All the User exits are stored in Table MODSAP..
Implemeting User-exit..
go to t-code smod -->enter the Exit name --> click on display --> click on components
                                                                  --> clcik on Finction module
                                                                  --> click on include under function module
                                                                   --> it show warning message ignore that and hit enter and write the code
and activate again the SMOD..

I want to update enhancement category in ECC6 for Z-Table

Hi,
I am working in Upgrade project from 4.5B to ECC6. In Ecc6 I want to update Enhancement category for Z-Table but this facility is not avilable in 4.5B.
Unless updating enhancement category for Z-Table then it is throughing runtime error.
But Z-Table has some datas. My question is if update enhancement category and save and activate this Z-Table then is there any problem affect to that table data.
Or any other problem will be arised ?

Not to Worry Dear.. enhancement catagory is like u want urr table to be enhanceable (i.e the no of fields can be increase , decrease or edited)
so its just an catagory setting or configuration like do you want to allow others to change fields setting in your table.
so actual proble may occur when u add, remove or edit fields list. (ofcourse when you have made it enhanceable)
so if there is possability of data truncation then u will get error and you have to go to SE14 for Table adjustment

Enhancement spots are provided ECC6.0 onwards for making enhancements directly into the code provided by SAP without using user-exits / BADIs.
Use Change Mode for creating enhancement points & sections.
use button Display <-> Change       to switch to change mode.
Use Enhancement Mode for creating enhancement implementations.
use button Change Enhancements      to switch to Enhancement mode
use button Display <-> Change      to leave Enhancement mode

Enhancement from 4.6B version to ECC6.0

My client is going to enhance 4.6B version to ECC6.0 version. I downloaded the delta treatment for the enhancements. In technical update, is entire configuration get transferred in to the new version. I think, the Z programs/ reports need to be taken care specially in the new version. Can you put some light on that? What precautions do we need to take?
MDT is in place in the old version. Now my client is opting Enterprise portal and going for ESS and MSS. When MSS is in place, MDT is still required?

Enhancement points - Changing standard SAP code using the implict and explicit enhamcement points
Enhancement points are basically hooks at certain defined points within the ABAP code i.e. at the beginning and end of a FORM. These hooks allow you to attach your own custom code which will be executed as if it had been hard coded into the code using a modification. Unlike hard coded modifications these will not be lost during upgrade or patching exercises.
There are 2 types of enhancements with the enhancement framework:
1. Explicit enhancement points: These are basically hooks already coded into the program by SAP at various points of the code. See program RIAUFMVK for examples of these! These are very easy to implement simply go into enhancement mode of SE80 and right click on the enhancement point where you want to add your code and choose u2018Enhancement Implementation->Createu2019 Give it a name, description and assign it to a change request (should not be a Z package) and then simply add the code as normal.
2. Implicit enhancement points: These are basically points within ABAP code where an enhancement point is implied, and in which case can be created. Examples of implicit enhancement points are at the beginning and end of FORMu2019s, at the end of a program, include or function module etc. Click here for demonstration of how to implement an implicit enhancement point!

New and enhanced or changed function modules in Ecc6.0 compare to 4.6C

Now i am at the middle phase of my upgrade project. How can i list module wise (like SD, FI, MM) function modules which modified or newly came to ecc 6.0 or deleted in ecc?
I already visited the sap site and taken the delta functions. but its not having this function modules.
where i can find and list?

Pacth EA-APPL 600 in ECC6.0 with enhancement 2

when I patch EA-APPL 600 with SPAM ( Version 39), it cannot show prerequistion 2. It can only show prerequistion 1.
So it require SAP_APPL 600 with patch 4, but my system is SAP_APPL 602.
Any one has solution for this issue?

Determine Sales Order change (ECC6.0 using Enhancement-point)

Hi all,
I want to determine Sales Order change e.g. if any item added to sales order or any item deleted fron sales order and also if Sales Order is deleted .... how can I achive this???
I am using ECC6.0 , in which I am using Include          MV45AFZZ and FORM USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT to determine change at SAVE. The table XVBAK and structure VBAP is available but from this I am not able to determine the change.
How to do this..?

Please see USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE instead of the one you are using in the Include MV45AFZZ.
SAP comments this customer form as:
* This userexit can be used for changes or checks, before
* a document is saved.
* If field T180-TRTYP contents 'H', the document will be
* created, else it will be changed. This form is called at the
* beginning of form BELEG_SICHERN
For the deletion, try to code your check in the form USEREXIT_DELETE_DOCUMENT in the Include MV45AFZZ provided for the customers.
I feel these would be more suited for your requirement.

You can use tables CDHDR/CDPOS for change documents but on a large scale reporting this would be very slow.
Alternatively, for performance reasons, you can use the form USEREXIT_READ_DOCUMENT to capture the sales order at its original state (in an internal table) then use form USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAP for any changes made while in the sales order create. Then in USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT, compare the previous and current condition values. If any changes exist, insert a row in a custom table with the change information. At the end you can base your report on your custom table rather than change document tables which will be slow on processing large volume of data.
Note: Go the user-exit way only if you are dealing with high volume of data

I believe you are talking about the modification which is used to insert, delete lines etc.
Modification is used when you want to modify a SAP standard code which requires an access key whereas Enhancement is used to enhance the code without modifying the standard code. Enhancements are provided by SAP so that customers can include their own code at these enhancement spots without modifying standard code l(ike the functionality of user exit, BADI etc.)

the iView is available as ess~lea. To get to the source code for the leave request iView you want to use NWDI. There is a cook book available on getting source codes package. Then you need to study about self-services FPM so that it is easy for you to understand the leave request iView and do the changes.
