I have only article no.s and i need to find its characteristics.

Hi guys
I'm working on a requirement to derive the Cost of Sales for non-stock items by pulling the current cost for the site and multiplying it by the billed quantity on VBRP. We could create a new condition type using purchase org, article and site in the condition table and manually enter condition records. However it would be more elegant to copy prices from the Purchasing list or deal prices into new condition types in the POS inbound pricing procedure. However SAP standard doesn't seem to allow condition copying from purchasing to sales.

Hi ,
As it happens you need to do this for Non-Stock Articles only.... then you need a routine to do this .
And then in IS -Retail do we not use NETPrice or Final Cost Price to derive the Sales Price ... In that case you get the Cost Price when the Billing doc is getting posted at line level...

Standard SAP does not support char specific to plant & order type. You need to devlop some custom transaction. If you are looking more details, request you to share the business requiremnet, details etc.

Mass Upload of object dependency for characteristics value

Hi ,
I need to upload the object dependency for characteristics values through transaction CT04. My input data consists of characteristcs name , characteristics value and the object dependency (KNNAM) . Need to populate the KNNAM field alone .
Have tried with the FM 'CTMV_CHARACT_CHANGE_KNOWL_VAL' which suits my requirement but teh dependencies are not getting uploaded . Am I missing anything ? Since I do not have class details i.e class num and class type I am not able to use the BAPI like 'BAPI_CLASS_CHARVALUE_LOCAL_DEP ' . Please suggest any othe r suitable method .

i have a requirement where in i need to add a customized field for characteristics of a material. where can i find the table for charactersitics of a material? i found the structure RCTAV but i could not find the table refering to this structure.

You can also query tables AUSP and CABN for the data.
AUSP-OBJEK = Matnr
Get the value of ATINN and ADZHL from AUSP for the above value and you should be able to query CABN using these

For site NUCL, article type FERT is not defined in Table T134W

If you go into transaction SE16 and put in the table T134W you can click on F5 and enter the missing entry.

Authorization Control For characteristics Maint.

My requirement is that,during material master creation/change,my user can change only certain characteristics in a class.What is the purpose of Authorization group field available in CT04.This what comes with F1 help,but I am not able to relate to it.I have assigned this authorization object in user role with relevant value,but nothing is happening.I am able to maintin all charac.

This key defines whether a user is allowed to maintain this characteristic.
This authorization must be defined in the user master record.
The authorization object is C_CABN_GRP.

The object and values what you are taking about is to restrict the charectristucs change,,,This will not restrict value assignment in material master classification view.
This is required for not to allow chages to that chateristics in CT04.
If you want the material master chareostics value assignment restoction then you need to restict material master claasification maintaince view through the auth object - M_MATE_STA
the values are as below
A     Work scheduling
B     Accounting
C     Classification
D     MRP
E     Purchasing
F     Production resources/tools
G     Costing
K     Basic data
L     Storage
P     Forecasting
Q     Quality management
S     Warehouse management
V     Sales

Values for Characteristics entered on Orders with Configurable Products

I have a system that has Configurable Products to be used in Sales Orders. I have a requirement to provide the values stored against some characteriestics for an online report. Can anyone point me in the direction of tables that hold the values entered for characteristics at the order level?

L00 and L01 in BW Query based Universe for Characteristics

Hi All,
While creating a universe based upon an SAP BW query, the BW characteristics seem to be doubled as dimensions, with one group markeded L00 and the other as L01.
Why are they doubled?
Is one "better" than the other?
For what purpose?
They key value in L00 returns "all" and L01 returms the key, but all attributes seem to be the same.

Hi,
From an OLAP point of view a characteristic is like a dimension, that means that it contains all the members (level L01) and the All member that aggregates the characteristic members (level L00);
These metadata are provied by SAP BW when using OLAP drivers.
For a characteristic, the level L00 is not necessary unless you want to use the All member.
On the other hand, the level L00 is significant for hierarchies, hierarchy varaibles and structures because it contains members.
We provide an option for the universe generation and the universe update that allows to generate or not the level L00.
This option is available since BOE XI3.1 SP2.
In SP3, we improved the L00 generataion to only impacts the characteristics and not hierarchies and structures.
So the recommendation for characteristics is to not use L00.

Trying to figure out what the different acronyms stand for in the article id number. I know HT stands for how to and TS stands for trouble shooting. What does PH and HE stand for.

PH refers to product help; these articles are the same as the product's content in the Help Viewer.
HE articles describe navigating Apple's support system itself.

Slow seller analysis for generic / variant articles

Hi all,
We are having issues getting slow seller analysis to work for generic variant articles.
We have created a generic with variants of a certain colour and size. We have attached a markdown profile to one of the variants and transferred this to BI (the profile in BI is assigned to the generic at for a specific colour and size). We have then loaded sales and goods receipt data for the variant article into the relevant cube in BI.
When we execute the slow seller query directly in BI (trans RSRT1) it is correctly retrieving the sales and GR data at the generic / size / colour level, however when we execute the slow seller analysis using transaction /n/MAP/SSM2 we get no markdown proposals generate the the log returns a message that no data could be found.
We have implementation the best practice building block however can't identify why no data is found for our selection criteria.
Does anyone have any documentation (apart from the best practices documentation) on how this needs to be set up?

The problem is also described and answered within OSS Note Nr. 0000561477 for Year: 2009. Name: Slow seller analysis not picking up variant articles
Bottom line of this problem is:
I analyzed the data in cube
0RMP_MC21. The movement data of seasonal merchandise (generic articles)
is expected to be stored in this cube on the level generic/color/size.
This is controlled via MAP foundation. In this case, the slow seller
report can evaluate the data and propose markdowns. Unfortunately, the
data in your cube 0RMP_MC21 is stored on variant level (material
number). You can verify this by running the query 0RMP_MC21/
0RMP_MC21_Q0020. In contrast to the screenshot you provided as an
attachment, this query doesn't give you values for article 400018 on
the level color/size, but only for the variants. Therfore, the slow
seller report won't find the data.
If you ensure the update of the cube according to the MAP foundation
(0material is filled with generic article), then the slow seller
analysis will pick up the variants as expected.

You use offsets on dates (0CALMONTH, 0FISCYEAR, 0DAT and so on) and of course the corresponding texts.
If you have 0CALMONTH in your query and you want to do the same thing not only for the current month but for the past twelve months, they you just minus 1, 2....11,12 for each selections, and at the same time you can create text variable for the description of each month.

If you have access to the program of the tcode, then go to that tcode click on system->status, to get the program name, go to se38 give that program name and select variants radiobutton, create the variant.

Data is coming perfectly in RSA3 for COPA datasource.
There is a confusion while reconciling the data with ECC system.(transaction KE24).
Functional consultant has reconcile one transaction with a reference document number and with certain currency type(Company code currency/Operating concern currency).
But still i confuse with the Masterdata Loading.
Because masterdata attribute fileds are taking directly from the operating concern in COPA which is normally won't happen with the other scenario.
(Say for CUSTOMER attribute are CUSTOMER GROUP and COUNTRY, In COPA scenario these are directly available in operating concern which will be available for datasource.But for other scenarios for CUSTOMER GROUP and COUNTRY fill with the CUSTOMER attributes hence my idea is whether we need to load masterdata in BI or not.)
