FM for spool log
Hi,
Is there any FM to fetch log from the spool generated.
Or is there any table from where we can fetch the log .
Try this
SHOW_XDB_LOGFILE_SPOOL
Award points if useful.

howdy all,
Could you please help me to resovle the very much odd issue of HP Priner driver on Win7sp1x64 as below.
1.HP Deskjet 970Cse printer connected thru usb to a router and installed to all LAN PCs thru a standard tcp/ip ports works well (i.e. printing anyting w/o any problem) on 3 PCs - 2 of 3 with win7sp1x64; and 1 of 3 - win7sp1x86. All 3 with
IE11[11.0.9600.17041] recently(!) updated from IE8.
2. However BOTH (that is 2 of 3) above PCs of win7sp1x64 return errors to admin log every time when printing any web page from IE11 and/or docs from Office as below:
Error in short:
The print spooler failed to load a plug-in module C:\Windows\system32\spool\DRIVERS\x64\3\UNIDRVUI.DLL, error code 0xc1. See the event user data for context information.
This error in log occurs only if printing from IE11 and/or MS Office. None of other printing jobs are affected including a printing from Acrobat, ACDSee, Google Chrome and Opera. The printing of Test Page by printer
itself not affected as well!!!
3. win7sp1x86 PC prints everything w/o any errors in log!
4. Printer uninstall incl. cleaning of Print Server config + clean install doesn't work.

7. I blame IE11 when there was no such error before its update from IE8.
8. This is a re-repost from here "http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie11-windows_7/print-spooler-log-error-id-808-internet-explorer/f52ff25c-4702-4ce3-827e-e1e9a5d324cf" and here "http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/7b24d6b9-171a-4703-82f9-81cb4732e02f/print-spooler-log-error-id-808-internet-explorer-11-ms-office-20032007-x86-on-win7-sp1-x64?forum=w7itproappcompat"
w/o any good answer!
That's it. Any questions are welcome.
Thank you.
PS: I just wanna confirm that this odd error occurs only when printing from IE11 and MS Office 2003 on Win7sp1x64. MS Office 2007 is not affected!OK, Z COMPLETE SOLUTION FOUND!
Although z cause of this odd issue is yet unclear. However it seems to be z HP driver problem after all.
Actually my printer is not HP Deskjet 970Cse but HP Photosmart 1115 Series. Z very nice working dinosaur, which was officially run out by HP Support from WinXPx86 times. Though it was always working
just nice with either HP Deskjet (DJ) 970Cse Win7driver (better) or HP Photosmart (PS) 7200 Series one (worse – when it works no so good with TCP/IP printer installation).
Well… when I got into z recent problem with DJ970cse driver I happened to check if printer works with z PS7200 one. Oops, same not good as before but NO LOG ERROR! A bit of study gave me understanding
that both drivers are using z absolutely same core files but PS7200 driver uses its own PCL Language Monitor as well as z Print Processor (not a standard winprint of Windows).
And while I unfortunately got no any reasonable ideas on how to solve this issue from IT Pros and others MS MVP during a few days after my posting here and there, except those very smart ones
like ‘uninstall, reboot and install again’, I had no option other than to find solution by myself.
I’ve downloaded a bunch of HP printer models Win7x64 driver pack from MS Update Catalog "http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=hp%20deskjet%20970cse" (x86 also available.
This driver pack is for maybe over 400 HP printer models incl. both DJ970Cse & PS7200) and modded its genuine INF file for HardwareID of my PS1115 as HPPHOTOSMART_11150FFF with use of 970Cse driver but also some DLLs and PCL Language Monitor
of PS7200 one.
This modded by me INF file is attached as a Code Block. Pls be advised that all originally integrated printer devices strings except DJ970cse & PS7200 ones were deleted for convenience and
z 1 new combined string for PS1115 added. Then everybody interested can compare & track z changes done. This modded driver is now installed and working w/o any glitch on 2 of my Win7sp1x64 PCs. Although I’ve maybe spent totally a day or
so on all that fuss of posting about & studying around.
My final conclusion is z very much common one
– f**k HP… and/or MS as well, when it’s yet unknown why this error occurred after z years of no problem use of DJ970Cse driver but after Win7sp1 updating to IE11 and/or KB2775511 and only with x64 version
of OS.
bye for now.
PS: btw, why I’m not able to attach any small text file or post a link to MS site here???!!!
END
UPDATE 2014-06-12-Thu: there is one more small glitch of printing to paper from IE11 only found! now it's about a Print Processor settings...
pls set not any hp oem print processor but z standard windows one aka 'winprint' to be used for printing in Printer properties > Advanced sub-menu, otherwise a printout is incorrect in part of a printed page header &
footer. a page print preview is ok but z printed header is incomplete = cut at right side, and no footer printed at all.
pls be advised that above note is valid for both modded & genuine driver installed and for both x86 & x64 win7...

Function Module for Application Log(SLG1)
HI SapAll.
may i know what is the Function Module to read the data for Applicaiton Log (tcode-SLG1).
waiitng for your response.
regards.
VarmaHi Danish.
running the program 'SBAL_DISPLAY' is similar to running the FM'APPL_LOG_DISPLAY' .However when i run any one of these i have to manually press the 'Execute button' to display the log(there is no option to save the log into spool or to get into some Internal table)
i have tried running the program 'SBAL_DISPLAY' by putting the Break point at the line ( CALL FUNCTION 'BAL_DSP_LOG_DISPLAY'
EXPORTING
i_t_log_handle = l_t_log_handle)
,while debugging the values are as below:
L_T_LOG_HANDLE : Sorted Table[1x1(44)]
1 ZoDNJw4vg3BX0000h1GOdm.
could you please help me in getting the log into spool wihtout having to press the execute button and without having to look at the Log.
regards.

Anyway to expand spool log file?
Hi,
I have a massive script, yet the spool log file doesn't show the last 10-15 commands. is there a way for me to resolve that?
Thanks. What spool log file? In what product? And what version of that product?
The Oracle database does not have a "spool log file."
Though, on second thought, it occurs to me you may be creating one of your own in which case your operating system and version are important too.
If you type "SPOOL OFF" do those final commands get flushed from the buffer and written to the file? Aha! -
Dashboard based on Crystal Report's Latest instances for the logged in user
Hi,
I am trying design a dashboard based on LiveOffice-crystal report's latest instance for the logged in user. Also there is row level security in the universe on which the crystal reports is created.
In the live office connection i have selected 'latest instance by current user' in the refresh option and published the dashboard to InfoView.
when i open the dashboard in InfoView , i find the row level restrictions being applied for different users. But the data retrived is always on-demand data and not based on the latest instance of the logged in users.
Can anyone throw some light on this issue.

Report for time log on detail for each employees in SAP ABAP-HR report
hi experts,
please help me .how to create a report for time log on detail for each employees in SAP ABAP-HR report.please help me.
thank youHi,
For Time Management Infotypes , If you want to read the data using macro you need to use the Macro called RP_READ_ALL_TIME_ITY
Example:
DATA: BEGDA LIKE P2001-BEGDA, ENDDA LIKE P2001-ENDDA.
INFOTYPES: 0000, 0001, 0002, ...
2001 MODE N, 2002 MODE N, ...
GET PERNR.
BEGDA = '19900101'. ENDDA = '19900131'.
RP_READ_ALL_TIME_ITY BEGDA ENDDA.
IF PNP-SW-AUTH-SKIPPED-RECORD NE '0'.
WRITE: / 'Authorization for time data missing'.
WRITE: / 'for personnel number', PERNR-PERNR. REJECT.

Query is taking too much time for inserting into a temp table and for spooling
Hi,
I am working on a query optimization project where I have found a query which takes hell lot of time to execute.
Temp table is defined as follows:
DECLARE @CastSummary TABLE (CastID INT, SalesOrderID INT, ProductionOrderID INT, Actual FLOAT,
ProductionOrderNo NVARCHAR(50), SalesOrderNo NVARCHAR(50), Customer NVARCHAR(MAX), Targets FLOAT)
SELECT
C.CastID,
SO.SalesOrderID,
PO.ProductionOrderID,
F.CalculatedWeight,
PO.ProductionOrderNo,
SO.SalesOrderNo,
SC.Name,
SO.OrderQty
FROM
CastCast C
JOIN Sales.Production PO ON PO.ProductionOrderID = C.ProductionOrderID
join Sales.ProductionDetail d on d.ProductionOrderID = PO.ProductionOrderID
LEFT JOIN Sales.SalesOrder SO ON d.SalesOrderID = SO.SalesOrderID
LEFT JOIN FinishedGoods.Equipment F ON F.CastID = C.CastID
JOIN Sales.Customer SC ON SC.CustomerID = SO.CustomerID
WHERE
(C.CreatedDate >= @StartDate AND C.CreatedDate < @EndDate)
It takes almost 33% for Table Insert when I insert the data in a temp table and then 67% for Spooling. I had removed 2 LEFT joins and made it as JOIN from the above query and then tried. Query execution became bit fast. But still needs improvement.
How I can improve further. Will it be good enough if I create Indexes on the columns for the temp table and try.or what If I use derived tables?? Please suggest.

I suggest you start with index tuning. Specifically, make sure columns specified in the WHERE and JOIN columns are properly indexed (ideally clustered or covering, and unique when possible). Changing outer joins to inner joins is appropriate
if you don't need outer joins in the first place.

How to go for the Log Polar Conversion of the image.
Hi,
I'm not sure if you mean using the polar plot vi, but if so there is an example shipped with LabVIEW. Go to Example Finder and search for 'polar', and you should find Polar Plot Demo.vi. Also, here are some useful links:

"recover database until cancel" asks for archive log file that do not exist
Hello,
Oracle Release : Oracle 10.2.0.2.0
Last week we performed, a restore and then an Oracle recovery using the recover database until cancel command. (we didn't use backup control files) .It worked fine and we able to restart the SAP instances. However, I still have questions about Oracle behaviour using this command.
First we restored, an online backup.
We tried to restart the database, but got ORA-01113,ORA-01110 errors :
sr3usr.data1 needed media recovery.
Then we performed the recovery :
According Oracel documentation, "recover database until cancel recovery" proceeds by prompting you with the suggested filenames of archived redo log files.
The probleme is it prompts for archive log file that do not exist.
As you can see below, it asked for SMAarch1_10420_610186861.dbf that has never been created. Therefore, I cancelled manually the recovery, and restarted the database. We never got the message "media recovery complete"

When restaring the database we could see that, a recovery of online redo log has been performed automatically, is it the normal behaviour of a recovery using "recover database until cancel" command ?

Thank you very much for your help.
Frod.Hi,
Let me answer your query.
=======================
Your question: While performing the recovery, is it possible to locate which online redolog is needed, and then to apply the changes in these logs
1. When you have current controlfile and need complete data (no data loss),
then do not go for until cancel recovery.
2. Oracle will apply all the redologs (including current redolog) while recovery
process is on.
3. During the recovery you need to have all the redologs which are listed in the view V$RECOVERY_LOG and all the unarchived and current redolog. By querying V$RECOVERY_LOG you can find out about the redologs required.
4. If the required sequence is not there in the archive destination, and if recovery process asks for that sequence you can query V$LOG to see whether requested sequence is part of the online redologs. If yes you can mention the path of the online redolog to complete the recovery.
Hope this information helps.

Logical standby stuck waiting for dictionary logs
Hello,
I created a logical standby (v. 10.2.0.3). It is in state 'WAITING FOR DICTIONARY LOGS', for a few days now.
Does anyone know how to get past this? It looks like the log that contained the Logminer Dictionary was applied
already.
Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.Make sure the archivelogs are reaching the standby. Check your alert logs on both databases to confirm there is no archival problem.

Hi,
I have a SQL 2012 instance that hosts 3 databases that are publishers in (push) transactional replication to subscribers in other domains and are also primary in an Availability Group to other instances in the same domain. The AG is healty (synchronized),
and replication is ok for 2 databases, but the third continuously shows the Publisher to Distributor history status as 'Replicated transactions are waiting for next Log backup or for mirroring to catch up.'
I have weekly full, nightly differential, and hourly log. Those are running and I've tested restoring the publisher db from them into a test instance. The option for sync_with_backup is 0. I generated a new snapshot, no change (haven't
reinitialized, that will be last possible option as this is production). When the log backups run, status will briefly change to 'Approximately (x) log records have been scanned in pass # ..., 0 of which were marked for replication' and some data
does replicate, but then status immediately changes back to the message about waiting for log backup. We are only replicating tables (no views, sp's, etc). All subscribers and AG secondaries are SQL 2012. My db is less than 200
GB data.
The jobs are continuously running and data updates are occurring on the primary. The distribution database is on the same instance as the publishers. Anyone have any ideas what could be happening?
Thanks greatly!Update - I resolved this.
We had added a new asynchronous instance to the AG, but hadn't added the databases on the new node to the AG yet. Conceptually it seems that adding the instance must have marked the logs and interferred with transactional replication on the
primary. Once I added the databases to the AG on the secondary, then the replication status cleared on the primary and has remained cleared. It is odd though that it only impacted one of the databases in the AG.
cheers. -
How can I set destination for archived logs?
I would like to know:
how to set destination for archived logs?
how to identify the init.ora that is used for my database?
With rman using compressed backupset by default and and making
backup database;
What does it backup exactly?Another thing I am wondering, when I make a backup with rman : backup database.
It saves the backups in the directory autobackup from the flash_recovery_area but it seems that it only saves the data files and the control files.Isn't there a way to sava archived logs files, control files, datafiles in a single backup?
In fact I would like to make a full backup using rman on sunday of everything and a incremental backup all days of the week how can I acomplish this with a retention of 7 days?
