FM GUI_UPLOAD issue in ECC 6.0

I am facing issue with using GUI_UPLOAD in new ECC 6.0 environment. The FM works fine in 4.7.
Issue:
Teh file is built in excel and saved as tab delimited, but one of the data cells has newline character and hereby when I upload the file, the system put the record after new line character as a seperate record.
Input file records:
col1 col2 col3
"dat11dat12" dat2 dat3
Output:
col1#col2#col3
"dat11
dat12"#dat2#dat3
There is a newline character in the first column betweeb dat11 and dat12.
How do I resolve this issue without code change because newline character is part of data.
The FM GUI_UPLOAD works fine in 4.7 system. Looks like this FM has undergone changes between two environments.

I do not see a parameter called CANCEL for WS_UPLOAD either in the 4.6c or the ECC 6.0 system. I just see the following:

Trading Partner issue in ECC

I have just activated the trading partner in ECC vendor/customer master on 1.09.08, thus all posting before this date was posted without trading partner information.
In BCS, I plan to load balance as at 31.8.08 using flexible upload as opening balance with all the "correct" trading partner information breakdown and subsequently, period movement will be extracted from ECC.
However, I notice that in ECC, when we make payment to open item created before 1.9.08 (document without trading partner), system will not populate the trading partner information, instead the trading partner information in original line (i.e. blank) will be posted.
I think this will create a problem, as I alrady uploaded the inter company balance with correct breakdown, but now period movement will be posted without trading partner, thus my balance in BCS will not be correct.
Anyone face the same issue before? Appreciate you can share with me how to overcome this issue, thanks.

This is not an uncommon problem. A few ways to address this are: correction posting in ECC, or correction posting in BCS.
In ECC a posting to move amounts from blank/null trading partner to actual trading partner is one solution. However this is not always possible when the accounts are reconciliation accounts.
In the case of reconciliation accounts it may be better to post the correction in BCS at posting level 10.
Another way to address this is to change the breakdown for these accounts to require trading partner and if blank default is used. Then the correcting entries are from default trading partner to the true trading partner in BCS.

Font issue in ECC 6.0 upgrade

regarding the font issues in SAP SCRIPT some of them fonts are not upgrading in ECC 6.0 VERSION as in 4 and 5 version.
please suggest me to solve this problem.

in this case u have to check the syntax of ur driver program, 2. have to check the NACE settings for output type and Medium also.

i have an issue with print preview in ECC 6.0.
i CAN SEE PRINT PREVIEW IF I HAVE MEDIUM AS PRINT OUTPUT ,
IF I DON'T HAVE HAVE MEDIUM AS PRINT OUTPUT , I AM GETTING AN ERROR SAYING Error in OPEN_FORM for document
I guess it should be independant of medium right
in my older version it works fine i.e can see print preview even though i don't have print out put ads medium
Did anyone of have faced similar problems

Turkish Special characters issue in ECC 6.0, while uploading into table

HI All,
We are working with Turkish special characters in ECC 6.0
We are uploading a CSV file containing characters like : İ, Ğ, Ş, Ü, Ö, as soon as the file gets uploaded to application server,
it gets converted to ? or # or Ý.
Also, we are reading the file using OPEN DATASET, ENCODING NON-UNICODE, IGNORING CONVERSION ERRORS, the same characters gets uploaded into the custom table i.e. Ý.
I have also tried saving the file in UNICODE / UTF-8 format, but the issue still remains.
I tried searching SAP Notes as well.
Any pointers to resolve the same will be helpful.

Also please be aware that Turkish only runs on ISO codepage 8859-9 (aka Latin-5 / SAP codepage 1610).

Billing in CRM before goods issue in ECC

Does anyone know if it is possible to create a billing document in CRM before the goods issue has been posted for the delivefry created in ECC? In some cases we need toi have a Pro Forma, before goods issue has been posted.

Couple of things to Clarify here.. There is no such thing as Financial postings in CRM. If you are referring to Billing..CRM can support creation of Debit Memos only and nothing beyond that. So DMs will become your billing document and any other subsequent Accounting entries are dependent on external system like ECC.
As the other person said, you need to configure the whole 9 yard on Billing in CRM using CRM BEA

SAP Query selection screen issues after ECC upgrade

Hi all
We have a custom query created and assigned to a custom transaction code, which after upgrade to ECC 6.0 we find that the selection screen layout is different from what was available in 4.6C system.
All the fields required are available.
However, the sequence of the fields on the screen is different from the 4.6C after the upgrade.
Can anyone help identify the issue so that the issue can be resolved?

We had raised a Customer message with SAP and were informed that this was expected as the procedure to execute the reports was changed in ECC when compared to 4.6 (technical changes) and hence this issue shall remain for some queries wherein the old changes need to be brought back using an option in the SAP Query.
Please refer to SAP Note # 723577 which could provide a better explanation for the issue.

Last hope on performance issues in ECC 6

This forum is my last hope for help on this issue.
We just recently went from 4.6c, oracle 9-something to ecc 6, oracle 10g.
We have found that report performance in the background has been TERRIBLE in comparison to the old version. Especially CO reports and PS reports. We have spent countless hours on analyss and program changes, and OSS note applications, and have exhausted evey means to find the underlying issue that the upgrade seems to have caused.
The biggest issue we found were changes to the PSJ logical database, and we fixed that.
We have looked both on the Oracle side and the SAP side.
Still reports are running 3-4 times longer.
We are non-unicode
Has anyone else run into this issue?

I´d do an SQL trace (ST05), switch it on for a user, start the report and let it run until it bombs out with timeout. Then switch off the trace and evaluate it.
Also check note 871096 and install the patches listed for your platform.
Did you create database statistics after you did your upgrade?
In any case, create an SQL trace and open an OSS call on BC-DB-ORA telling the support your problems and let them have a look at the execution plan of your statement.

ABAP Webdynpro Rendering issues after ECC Upgrade

Dear All,
We recently upgraded ECC to EHP 7 (Netweaver 7.4) but our Portal is still at Netweaver 7.0 EHP2 SP16.
The ABAP Webdynpro iViews in Portal have the following issues. ( We use IE11).
1. The ABAP Webdynpro Table filtering is not working. When I click the filter button it does nothing.
2. The cursor in the Input fields reset back to the first position while typing and create a big mess.

IDoc segment version issue in ECC upgrade from 5.0 to 6.0

Hi experts,
we are in the process of upgrading our ECC environment from 5.0 to 6.0. We have quite a few interfaces which use ORDERS/Invoice Idocs in customised form. In ECC5.0 environment, we had developed a Z segment in the ORDERS Idoc and the segment release was set as 640. Everything worked fine in ECC5.0.
In upgraded environment, SAP has released new version of some segments. one of those is E1EDP01. This segment has 2 new versions in ECC6.0 environment - 007 and 008. This change in the version changes the data in the IDoc and hence interface goes in error at the EDI provider.
We have tried to use 640 as the IDoc segment release in the partner profile of the IDocs. This still gives us an issue because the 007 version of the segment E1EDP01 has release 620 and hence the Idoc picks up 007 version instead of 006 version as desired. When we change the partner profile with Segment release in the IDoc type as 46C, it gives us an issue in the Z segment saying that the IDoc segment is not released in 46C and the Idoc goes in error.
has any one faces such situation in the past? if yes, please throw some light.

BD64 issue having ECC + BI on the same client

Hi there,
We do have a small instance having ECC and BI in the same System.
The ABAP RFC connection is fine and when Replicated in RSA1 Datasources from SourceSystem R3 went fine.
But I think we have an issue with the Idoc settings.
Went through the doc [http://ecohub.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/908836c3-7f97-2b10-4cb8-e6790361c152?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true] and found that when BD64 it asks me the Sender / Receiver to be different.
Though as mentioned in our case it is the same.
It is really needed to update these settings in BD64 when both systems are in the same System?

We access BW and R3 through the same logon.
I found the issue though !!

1- The ABAP RFC connection was fine.
    Tested and transfered the DataSources fine.
2 - though there was still an issue with table RSBASIDOC not showing Transfer Structure field.

2. Again re-click on Partner Profile: T90CLNT090
you will see ,there will be some entries in Inbound & out Bound Tabs.
Delete the following from outbound:
1.RSRQST
Delete the following from inbound.
1.RSINFO
2.RSSEND
and save your partner profile.
3. now execute - RSA1, it will ask to active Workbench. Just activate it . it will work now.... Cheers.

Exception in CRM system after creating post goods issue in ECC

Hi Folks,
We are facing an issue in CRM system. I will tell the scenario in details so that it would be helpful to understand,
We are creating sales order in CRM system and it got replicated to ECC correctly. We have maintained action definition to trigger email to the customer.
Then we will be creating delivery and then post goods issue(PGI) for items replicated to ECC systems. After PGI system will update the status in CRM sales order and here configured an action definition to trigger an email to customer.
We have created custom badi implementations for action definition execute badi to send email. Emails are triggering correctly but after PGI creation while replicating the changes from ECC to CRM we are getting an exception in standard code because PPFTTRIGG table does not have entry. We have failed entry in CRM inbound queue and then did some debug and come to know the place of issue. Help me out with some inputs here.

I have identified one thing here, if the action definition does not have start condition system is not updating that entry in PPFTTRIGG table. Here i got 2 questions my mind
1. Why system is not updating the table with all the action definitions available in action profile
2. Why system is looking for the entry which was not updated in PPFTTRIGG table?
I do not understand problem with updating table or with action profile itself. Please give some input here. If we deactivate all the definitions which does not have start condition then there is no error.

Every time the return code is '1'. However, I can verify that the path is correct by manually uploading a document using CG3Z. I have also confirmed that the table IT_LINES contains data.

OK, I tried the following but I get an error when opening the dataset:
OPEN DATASET d_filename FOR OUTPUT IN BINARY MODE
I also tried the following:
CALL METHOD cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_upload
    EXPORTING

      filetype = 'BIN'
    CHANGING
      data_tab = it_lines
    EXCEPTIONS
      OTHERS   = 19.
In both instances it can't open the dataset.
Any ideas? I do not see the directory when I go to AL11 but I can traverse it using FM calls.

BAPI_Requisition_Create Issues in ECC 6.0

Hi,
Recently our company completely done the SAP upgrade from 4.6c to ECC 6.0. Before upgrade, we use BAPI_Requisition_create to post the PR data from external web applications (JAVA). It works fine from PR-PO-GR until payment.
After migration to ECC 6.0, we having problem using this BAPI. Once the PR completely transferred into SAP-PR (No Error commitment checks), all information successfully posted but the issues is, when i try edit and check the PR, the system returned "Budget exceeded" message. Already checked with FI Admin, there's no Document Journal created in FI after PR created from BAPI_Requisitiob_CREATE.
I already did comparison (same data) by creating the PR directly using ME51N. Press "Check" without any budgett error message and Document Journal in FI also created successfully.
I'm appreciate your ideas and help.
