FM radio and Bluetooth link

My first concern is about the use or not of bluetooth link with FM radio.
I know that a headphone has to be plugged in order to be used as an antenna.
And I know also that on my lost phone (K810i) this prevents the blutooth link to a bluetooth headset to work.
Question: is this true for all types of phones ?
For instance, the Aino seems to have an "extended" bluetooth capability and maybe in that case the bluetooth link does work even though an headset is plugged in.
My goal is to be able to listen FM radio when the phone is paired with a motorbike Helmet blutooth system such as Cardo, BMW or Schubert systems.
Does anyone have an anwer to my distressing request ?

Well I tried it on my W995 and cannot listen to the radio by Bluetooth while simultaneously having headphones plugged into the phone. The W995 is very similar software-wise to the Aino, so I'm guessing the same applies to this phone.

I have an iPhone 6 with ios 8.1.1 operating system. The Bluetooth pairs with my Sony car radio and works fine. However, the iPhone will not stop searching for other devices. This does not seem to affect anything, but I can't help but think it is using battery power.

    One possibility:
How do you know it is searching for other devices?  Because you opened Settings > Bluetooth?
Why is it searching for other devices? Because you opened Settings > Bluetooth?

  • IPad wifi and Bluetooth greyed out after iOS5 update

After updating to iOS5 on my iPad my WiFi and Bluetooth were greyed out like the update has caused a hardware failure on the radio side.  My SIM and 3G still work (not that I use it) but I can not even choose wifi or bluetooth in settings app as they are greyed out.
In Wifi it says "No Wi-Fi" and Bluetooth it says "Unavailable"
I wasn't using it a lot so just forgot about it for a while as it sat gathering dust being an expensive paperweight thinking that the next software (5.0.1) update would sort it all out.  It doesn't.  I have a 64GB iPad 3G with no wifi and as I am living abroad the 3G is useless to me (though only use the ipad at home on my wirless network anyway, or not as the case is now!!)
I have restored, factory restored, cleaned installed new software, everything I can think of but still there is no wifi and no bluetooth.
Has anyone else had this issue?  My (very expensive) iPad is now next to useless!!
ANY help is VERY much appreciated.

thank you for fast response and sharing the link but i've tried everything including downgrade but it seems that theres a serious problem with MC497LL model and trying to reach to the support for any updates about it at least trying to inform them

Sony Update Software (also known as SUS) has been discontinued some time ago, and now the update process is entirely integrated in PC Companion and Mac Bridge. Just Download PC Companion from here:
    http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
Open PC companion -> Support zone -> Phone/tablet software update -> Repair my phone/tablet (blue link style). Follow the steps given, do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable.

  • Can i connect my ipod classic to my car radio via bluetooth so that I can listen whilst driving?

Can I connect my Ipod Classic to my car radio using bluetooth (or any other way) so that I can listen through my radio whilst driving?

Yes, get an iFM transitter from eBay or Amazon.
Search for Griffin or Monster or just iPod Classic FM transmitter and charger, they are inexpensive less than US$30.
Get one with charger or else you iPod might run out of battery faster.

  • Streaming video and bluetooth stereo

I have the Blackberry Curve with T-Mobile with v4.5.0.81 and the Motorola HT820 stereo bluetooth headset.  I am able to listen to regular music and videos on the microsd card on the HT820, but when I play streaming video online there isn't an option to activate the HT820.  Is this a limitation of streaming video online, a BB software issue, or a setting I need to change.  Thanks!

The curve 8330 handles some streaming formats... With the MobiTV app I'm told you can watch streaming video of various cable channels including news and discovery channels and such. You can also view some video clips from www.youtube.com Not the flash clips of course! As far as streaming audio you can download slacker radio and flycast and have a semblance of streaming audio. I'm hoping for winamp/real audio type support of streaming media very soon to listen to various internet radio stations that aren't included in the aforementioned radio apps. Sidenote: Money rules everything, everywhere

I have been using iTunes for years to connect to the radio and just recently tried to tune in and an error sign pops up stating " A error occurred while contracting the radio tunning service. Check your internet connection or try again later." There's no problrm with my internet service so what's up?

You are probably using an old version of iTunes with which the stream link service seems to have stopped working for many users of older iTunes.  No, Apple makes no comment about this kind of thing.  It may reappear, it may not (it has been dead for over a week now).  Your solution is to upgrade the operating system version on your computer from 10.5.8 to 10.6.8 so you can run a newer iTunes, or live without.  You can still open streams if you can get the URL, and you can then save them as playlist items.

  • FM and Bluetooth

I have just purchased a BH-111 bluetooth headset to use with my 3110c phone.  It works fine with the Music Player, but with the Radio it says "connect wired enhancement".
    - Does this mean I cannot use the bluetooth headset with the FM radio?
    - Is there a headset/headphones I can use wirelessly with the FM radio?
    - Is there a phone with FM radio I can use with the bluetooth headset?
    Thanks for your help.

On most phones the FM radio requires an antenna to pick up radio signals and uses the headphone cord for this purpose. That being the case it is not possible to listen to FM radio via bluetooth because there is no antenna to pick up the signal. So it is impossible to use the BH-111 for that purpose.
Nokia does sell a bluetooth headset with a built in FM radio to get around this problem, it's called the BH-221. You control the radio with the headsets controls, not the phones so it will work with devices that don't have an FM radio in them at all.
