Fm radio in lumia 620

There is no fm radio in lumia 620.
Is there any way to get fm radio except internet radios?

agreed internet radio is cutting edge. but there are people like me who would not want to spend data rates beyond a limit. and for that I would be happy to have FM radio. Plus+ I am born and brought up in my city with Radio and we have 10+ FM channels with a lot of rich variety of content in that creatively presented. I was on the street driving for almost 14hrs yesterday and my car radio was my saviour. of course i used my drive app on my 620 to find my way couple of times to areas where I am not familiar but never bothered to turn on the mix radio on my phone. there are lot more than songs which one would like to here.
A radio option, hardware supported but os api not exposed is a something to think about a lot. I request nokia to bring forward a nokia specific update patch atleast to enable the radio api and some tested radio app down the line.
I am happy to develop one for Nokia if required.

Mp3 Volume issue Nokia Lumia 620

Hi,
I was hoping someone could help me with this one please.
When Listening to audio on the nokia Lumia 620 via the built in radio the audio is nice and loud and I can listen to it at volume 10 through the ear phones.
However I have transfered some mp3's to the phone via the windows phone app, from Itunes and the audio volume is terrible, even at full volume I can just about hear the music. I have tested that it is not an issue with the mp3s by copying them to a HTC windows 8 phone and can listen to them perfectly.
As far as I can tell the apps are all up to date.
Does anyone have any ideas please?.

Pressing the volume down and power buttons together will not delete any data on your phone, it's more of refreshing the OS of your Nokia Lumia 620.

I have a Lumia 620 which i want to update to 8.1.
It seems to be stuck at 8.0.10211.204. How can i update my phone?

Where did you buy the phone? Is it tied up to a certain operator? Have you already tried going to Settings > Phone update to manually check for updates? The availability of SW updates per device model depends on your region, on the phone's variant, and on the operator's approval. When updating the phone's software, make sure that its region, date, and time settings are set correctly. From what Ive googled, others have been able to hardwire Amber into their 620s..only to find out FM Radio and Tap to Wake isnt support, but what is supported is more color saturation (to get deeper colors like 800's amoled display) and clock always on.

Hello, Vaibhav_16390. Have you already tried the suggestion given by eshiejamz? BTW, are you also using a Lumia 620? You may also try deleting the browser's history. Go to Settings > applications tab > Internet Explorer > delete history. Once done, press and hold both the volume down and the power keys for 10-15 seconds.
Let us know the outcome.

I have submitted my phon at nokia care for this issue that some time my lumia 620 is not responding at the time of call reciveing.They gave me after software upgradation.But is not solved then I contacted with customer care.They tolled me to submit the phon again.I have also submitted .Today from cre they called me and tolled that my phon is under observation.If they find the problem then they will send it to higher authority.But my problem not happen frequently.It happen mostly at the first call.The slide function does not work.Some time the answer button remains gray colour and does not function.Now I am sure that tommorow they will give me the phon saying there is no problem.Now friend please tell me how can i show my problem.its 2 nd time to submit .its a big fault to buy lumia620

Black update is available in my country for Lumia 620. But my phone is not getting black update. Whenever I check for update it says your phone is up to date.

@rdg4444 your phone is a Malaysia variant and after checking Availability in Asia Pacific, I can see that the 620 black update is not in distribution yet for Malaysia variant. The "Coming Soon" in availability page means that it's approved and will be in distribution in a few days.

With WP8.1 there are separate volume controls for different functions .. Hope you are setting them correctly ..

Problem with the Update Nokia Lumia 620

The update was initialized on my Nokia Lumia 620 that I bought yesterday. When it started the phone was connected to WiFi. However, after 10 minutes I thought it stuck so I put the battery out and in again. But the update started again. The WiFi was still on. I waited an hour but nothing happened so again I put the battery out and in. Later the WiFi connection was shut down and the update still going. Later I tried to put the battery out and in all over again. I left the phone for the night, it lost all the battery so I plugged the charger in it and then the update started again! I have the 3G internet purchased, so when it's not on WiFi then it should be working. So my question is if the update is really going on (since 4am, that is almost 4 hours till now) or is something wrong. How long can it take on 3G in the situation I described? Will it ever end or should I go and return it to the service for them to fix it? Please help me! It's really urgent!

Update is possible thru' WiFi only.. It may take in excess of an hour for the whole update process to complete ..so once you start it (thru' WiFi) just leave it .. Don't go on removing the battery all the time ...Keep the phone on charging when you update. Additionally you may have settings-->WiFi--advanced ..and select 'Keep WiFi on when screen times out..' .
If you still get the problem visit Nokia Care to get it updated.

What is new for the Lumia 620 in the black update ?

It seems Lumia 620 doesn't benefit the "double tap to wake", other than that all announced apps and features will be available. I advise to check also some great beta apps from Nokia Beta Labs, kudos to the guys developing these.

Lumia 620 fails to connect to car bluetooth - coll...

My lumia 620 did initially connect to my ford focus car audi/phone successfully. However after about a week it failed to connect and I haven't been able to connect since. Defeats the object of hands-free!
Steps taken (which work with previous phones of various makes/models):
Turn bluetooth on in car
Turn on phone bluetooth connectivity
Car display finds my phone successfully and provides a PIN to enter in the phone
Phone bluetooth status says 'unable to connect to ford audio system' and times-out.
I've noticed that the 'tap to pair' message doesn't appear as it previously did and I can't find anywhere else to look for bluetooth settings.
A colleague who has an identical phone can successfully connect - it does show the 'tap to pair' message.
I have updated the ford audio system software and checked the other phone connects ok. I have also tried removing the phone battery several times but still no joy.

Disappointed with my windows phone!!(lumia 620)

I bought a new lumia 620 as a back up to my android(htc one x+)..but I am very disappointed with some of these glitches..
1. No notification centre..it's really a pain!
2. Can't pay via SIM card to purchase an app..
3. Can't play high mp4, mkv, flv videos though I think the snapdragon s4 is capable to do it..is Nokia waiting for a developer to put up such an app at the store?!!
4. Limited file download size...!!! It's worst...I got an unlimited data plan and don't really have to care..why Microsoft has to protect me!! Instead they should turn it to a feature by allowing the user to decide the restriction..for example: if u have a 1 GB data plan you should be able to set a restriction which would protect you when your overall usage exceeds 1 GB! I feel as if windows is trying to follow APPLE blindly..why make it so complicated instead of user friendly!!
5. My handset does crash and restarts at least once a day..
6. Battery drains out too quickly..something which is not expected from Nokia
7. Very few apps..most of them are **bleep**..if not they are too costly..I even feel Microsoft should reduce the price of app hosting
8. Whenever I share via Bluetooth..my phone hangs for sure and there is no option other than removing my battery and restarting..
9. If any unsupported file format is downloaded I don't know where is it stored..and eats up my memory...
I am even using APPLE IPOD with which I share a better experience than my lumia...
I am sure to ditch this useless paper weight within a month if no improvements appear..
Sorry if my language is rough but it's my frustration with lumia..and I am fed up..expecting a good update...
And these are what I know is all consumers want..Nokia and Microsoft should think about consumers satisfaction above all!!!
