FM Radio Lollipop Update Locked Screen Issue

Hi All,
After updating my Z1 Compact to Lollipop I face the following problem. When I listen to FM Radio with Sony's supplied single-button earphones with the screen locked if I press the button once it turns off the radio app and then if I press it again it starts the Walkman instead of resuming playing radio. This was not the case on the android kitkat. It's very important to me as I use FM Radio very often. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

Interactive Lock Screen Issues

Using an iPhone 5, just updated to iOS 8. When I get a text and swipe left in the lock screen, it does not give me the option to reply from the lock screen. Anyone else having this issue or fixed this issue?

I have been chatting to Apple on Live chat and they have fixed the issue.
Go Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings> This will only reset your settings and your wallpaper and you shouldn't lose any data.
Once phone has rebooted send a test txt to your self and it should work.

My iPhone 5 is stuck on "verifying update" lock screen

I was updating my iPhone to iOS 8.1.1, but it failed verification and now my phone is stuck on "verifying updates" on the lock screen. I can't even shut it off completely because it will not let me slide the power off button.
I even connected into my macbook air, but nothing happened.
Any help is appreciated to fix this issue.

If the update process has not completed, it may help to put your iPhone into recovery mode in order to get it updated.

[SOLVED] KDE Plasma 5 | Lock Screen Issues

Everytime my computer locks - whether it be manually or automaticly, I get this lock menu with 3 options. The first option has my username and my avatar, which prompts me for my password. Everytime I type in the correct password, the screen turns black and then reloads the lock screen. Which makes it impossible for me to log back into my session leaving me unable to leave my computer on ever. I can create a new Session from the same menu but when ever I do create a new Session after being locked out, not a single app will launch. And I know I am putting in the correct password because when I purposly put in an incorrect password; the screen doesn't turn black, it just gives me a diffrent prompt. Another issue I am facing with KDE at the moment is about 80% of the time when I shut down my computer, I get a crash report from most of the applications running, for expamle kwin. I'm only saying this incase it is relevant, it is annoying but at least it doesn't prevent me from getting work done. Also, I used KDE's suggested SDDM for login.

Oh, that really sucks, I like to use Arch for gaming on Linux so i dont think either of those sound preferable, but I think I will just try to downgrade nvidia then. Gnome atcually has worse issues with the latest nvidia drivers which sucks as well. Thank you for finding this.

Lock screen issues when deleting notifications

I am having a recurring problem where the phone gets stuck when I try to delete a notification from the lock screen. When I swipe and hit Trash, the screen sends me to the password entry screen but every time I hit a button, the screen only bounces to the right then back. I have to double tap the keys quickly just to enter the code. Once this happens and I can unlock to Trash the notification, I then sometimes have the time/date on the lock screen disappear. I have to reboot to get it to work. It's happening on multiple devices, 5s, 5c, and iPad Air, all with iOS 8 (the phones on 8.1.1 and iPad on 8.1). I'm also having TouchID get stuck if it doesn't read after three attempts. Overall, the Lock Screen is pretty unreliable on iOS8.

sometimes seems like the effect may not auto-disappear, as it should. hopefully the "blur with no notifications" is NOT normal.
rebooting the iphone always works to remove the burred effect; and may fix this "glitch", if it IS a "glitch".
but, if your issue is only with notifications blurring the lockscreen, this seems fairly easy to fix, since you can set ALL of your apps to NOT display notifications on the lockscreen. If the iOS doesn't have to display info there, there is no need to blur the background.
you should note that there are things other than notifications that WILL blur the lockscreen; so when you say you're getting "blurring but no notifications"; then this could mean that the iOS is displaying some other info on the lockscreen.
Example: for me the blurred screen has to do with AUDIO PLAYBACK, which causes the iOS to display the "playback control buttons" on the lockscreen. When I PAUSE AUDIO, the blur clears up instantly. So, clearly, Apple designed the screen to work this way.
I will be checking to see if a way to remove the "audio controls" from the lockscreen. given new contol center (which I can access from the lockscreen), there is no longer any need for these controls to display on the lockscreen.
I will be trying to remove everything possible from displaying on the lockscreen, to at least minimize this effect. But think we all need to request that apple add an option to STOP the blur effect on the lockscreen.

Ios5 update lock screen/camera

I did the ios5 software update and I have the camera icon in the home screen lock mode, but if you go into the camera from your lock screen and then press the home button, it takes you to your unlocked home screen without asking for the password.How do I change it so that it is always password protected?

Only if your phone is unlocked at the time. If your phone is protected with a passcode when you enter the camera, you will need to enter the passcode when pressing the Home button.
You can changed the time period before the passcode lock becomes active in the Settings.

Locking Screen Issue

I'm using a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.4.10, and have set up system preferences to require a password when deactivating the screen saver. However, I am booted off the internet every time I enter the password to deactivate the screen saver. How can I maintain my internet connection while securing the screen? Please advise...

Make an appointment at any Apple store. The genius bar can confirm whether your phone has a hardware issue or not. If hardware, Apple does not fix iPhones, they replace them, & the cost for an iPhone 4S, if not covered by warranty, is US $199. A third-party repair shop will be cheaper, but if you go this route, you void all warranty/support, as well as the right to an out of warranty replacement.
Sorry, but I suspect those are your only options, at this point.

Lollipop update caused many issues on my phone.

I use this phone for work and has specific work applications and data that cannot be backed up. My batter drains quickly, applications are constantly crashing and the performance is very poor. Until this update my phone was just fine. Aside from the obvious question as to WHY Verizon pushed out a very buggy update and disrupted their customers day to day activities, I need to revert it back to kitkat. how do i do that?

There is no way to revert back to KitKat. If you are running FB on your phone try deleting all apps pertaining to FB. Last I heard that the FB app was not updated prior to the release of lollipop.

StarOffice 8 Update 8 screen issues.

Ever since installing the update, my client is having problems with funny red bars popping up and obscuring random cells in spreadsheets. Anyone else have that problem? Hoping there's a workaround, since SO8U8 fixes so many other bugs, hate to have to back it out...

Had to back out the patch. As soon as I did that, the spreadsheets all came back to normal. I don't have a StarOffice support contract, so I can't alert Sun to the problem that way. Not sure if Sun people ever read this, is there a bugreport address I can send the info to?

2nd Half of Lollipop Update Fails

I received the first half of the Lollipop update with no issues. My phone then prompted me to download the second update package, which I did. The install gets to the Android Firmware screen, runs for about 5 minutes, then says "Error!" and reboots. After reboot, I get a message that the update has failed.
I have rebooted my phone and tried again.
I have removed my battery and tried again.
Using Kies, I get the message that my device is on the current firmware. Which I know is wrong.
Forums indicated trying the VZW Upgrade Assisstant/Repair Tool. After Installing, I get this message:
I should have plenty of room for this update...
My phone is running the last version updated...
Verizon - I don't want to do a "Factory Reset" again... I had to do that for the kitkat update...
Please advise on troubleshooting/fix.

to be clear: after downloading and validating the OTA update, it reboots, starts installing, says error and reboots again. About a minute after it reboots, it pops up with this:

I have a requirement that in few series User shouldn't be able to enter Negative number.I am trying to use the "Configure Update Lock" to achieve the same.The details entered in Configure Update Lock screen are
Name: Lock Series A
Expression: Series Name < 0
Message: Number should not be negative
Save it and restart application server.
I found that it is not working as intended ..means even if i enter a number greater or less than 0 then also i am getting the message and data is not getting saved.
Is the expression correct or do i need to change it ?
2) If the series is already having Negative number and then i want to make use of "Configure Update Lock" to mention something like that from a particular date onwards system should not allow to enter Negative number then what should be the expresssion ? I tried to use If condtion but getting message like "Value should be True/Flase'
Any response is highly appreciated.

Lock screen timeout issue after Lollipop upgrade - Galaxy S5

I have the S5, and a couple days before installing the Lollipop update I changed my screen timeout to 30 mins because I didn't want my screen to turn off while looking at pictures for long periods of time. I didn't end up changing the timeout back before the update, so after installing Lollipop, it applied the 30 min timeout to my lock screen and I am unable to change it to a lower setting. I've tried changing the timeout settings under display and all sorts of variations of settings in the phone, and it works when I am actually past the lock screen, but lock screen still doesn't turn off until 30 mins passes.
The main problem with this is when my phone gets notifications in the middle of the night, the phone stays on for the full 30 mins and drains my battery if it isn't plugged in. Is anyone else having this issue? I haven't tried reverting back to Kit Kat to see if I can fix the issue, but I was just curious if there was another way to get around it before going through all of that. It would be really helpful if they would just add a timeout feature specifically for the lock screen so that I could adjust it there...

This has been reported on some other blog sites I recall seeing and the quick fix was to disable your lock screen.

no that was not it - I eventually found out by a thorough review of the user guide Settings - Sound & notification, When device is locked Don't show notifications at all. However, I came across a new problem: When the setting above is activated the icon(s) from incoming notifications is hidden by the mobile service provider icon in the status bar when screen lock is on. When the screen is unlocked the icon from the incoming notification is showing. It is not possible to manage the mobile service provider icon like fx. alarm, wi-fi, clock etc.. I have tried 'To manage status bar icons' from the user guide Do you know if it is at all possible to remove the mobile service provider icon from the lock screen ?

Z1 Compact: blank screen after lollipop update. when try to repair i get an error massage (302)

I've updated my xperia Z1 compact to lollipop using OTA service. I used 4 different computers, disabled the firewall and the anti virus, ran it in compatibilty mode and made sure java was installed. all the computers passed the system requirements and had broadband internet connection, still the same error every time.what to do now?
