FM Radio randomly goes mute
My FM Radio app randomly goes mute. I already cleaned the app data, did a software repair, what seemed to be a factory reset. But the problem continues.

I had exactly an issue on my x200s. The wireless radio randomly turned off, and Window 7 was frozen, no response. It took me a lot of time to figure it out. Eventually, it worked out.
Please go to "Lenovo access connections", and find the "tools" tab. In the "global setting", uncheck "Allow the wireless lan radio to be turned off when inactive".
This is going to solve your problem. I worked for me.
Hope this help.FWIW, I think the ThinkVantage software just sucks. On my X200 the wifi would drop constantly, every 3 to 5 minutes. Driver upgrade, software upgrade, settings etc didnt change anything. I wiped the entire hard drive and installed linux, and I haven't seen a drop since. Maybe try just using the windows wifi to manage your connections. It could also be related to the power management dropping the wifi, which would also be the ThinkVantage.

When I am on Safari, the page randomly goes back to the previous page I was on. This is really frustrating when I am writing something online because it does not save my work. Fix for this?

MacBook Pro's screen randomly goes blank (white sometimes dark), wont be able to do anything no matter what key i press unless i turn it off and on via the power button. When i do that I normally have just a few minutes before it happens again. Bought this back in december just started happening a few days ago. Only thing out of the ordinary I've done is install that microsoft silverlight or whatever it is netflix asked me to install to watch the videos but I uninstalled that quickly hoping it would fix my problem but it hasn't so please help me out if you know what to do

IMac randomly goes to sleep / Previous Sleep Cause: -100
iMac (24 inch Early 2009, 2.93 GHz Core 2 Duo, Lion 10.7.3) randomly goes sleep.
No hot corners, never sleep setting.
It seems it goes to sleep more often when CPU is busy and graphic intensive jobs running (videos, gaming).
I cleaned up air ways by vaccume, but it did not help.
Temp monitor showed
CPU 55C
power supply 95C
northbridge 89C
graphic processer goes up to 86C
when it went to sleep for no apparent reason. Are those causing issue? If so what can I do?
/private/var/log/kernel.log says
"Previous Sleep Cause: -100"

Thanks!I took the iMac to nearest AppleStore and they opened it and cleaned up inside.
After that, it has not yet gone to random sleep yet while I've been trying to reproduce heavy CPU/GPU load for ~1h (while I could make it happen in 15min this morning).
So far highest temp went down to:
CPU 55C => 44C
power supply 95C => 72C
northbridge 89C => 82C
graphic processer 86C => 70C
Tech at AppleStore bar didn't know what Sleep Cause: -100 is. -

ThinkPad x200s randomly goes to Standby?!?!?!?! Help!!! :)
Hi there,
I have a ThinkPad x200s which is about 2-3 years old and recently it has been going to the stanby mode randomly. When I say standby, I mean it goes back to the blue screen where it asks me to swipe my finger to log on.
It does when I am either working and typing or when I am watching a movies - no rules. I did however notice that with every bit of movement, it goes to stand by.
Now, the thing is, at work, my colleague accidentaly managed to pull the cable from my laptop when it fell of the very low table. After my initial worry, it seemed to work after that, so I am not sure if the random going to stanby mode is due to that. This was about a month ago. I have also been carrying my laptop around a lot, so I am wondering if it might be the constant shakes and movement it experiences when carried around that perhaps made it very sensitive. If this makes sense? Because, I also notices that when I touch the screen, it goes to stand by. Or maybe I caused the problem because sometimes I don't shut down my laptop, I just put the screen down overnight. Not sure!!!
So, this last Friday, I left my laptop at home, didn't carry it to work, and I noticed that over the weekend, whilist it has been going to the stand by mode now and then, it is much less frequent, unless I do some sudden movement with my laptop.
What could it be, guys? I am happy to answer any questions if that is going to help diagnose the problem. I just don't want to take it to repairs yet and get overcharged for something that maybe I could fix myself. My friend suggested I reboot my system and re-install Windows. Oh, another thing, for the past few months, when I Skype, microphone doesn't work. I can hear people, they can't hear me. I tried everything, all options available, but I couldn't turn it on. Not sure if these two are related

reset the device (home and sleep/wake button for 5-10sec)
make sure mute isnt turned on or the ringer/silent switch
-double tap home and swipe the bottom window to the left and make sure the mute button hasnt been toggled (if its set up there, might be screen lock depending on settings)
reset all settings (settings >general >reset)
if all else fails try a backup/restore -
Mac Pro randomly goes into sleep mode
My (mid 2010) Mac Pro, OS X.6.8, randomly goes into sleep mode and I can't wake it, have to power it off and reboot. Just started to the best of my knowledge Friday (Jan 6, 2012) I've had it happen surfing the web in Safari, while working on an illustration in Adobe Illustrator, while running Apple Hardware Test, using 23" LCD connected by HDMI and DVI-D, Disconnected monitor and connected 12" Cintiq (LCD Tablet).
The monitor goes black, says "there's no signal coming from your computer", none of the keys will wake it. I have to hold down the power button until it turns off then power it back up. The time between the sleeps varies, 38min, 1hr 34min, 5min, 2hr 17min, 12min, etc. I disconnected everything (except keyboard, mouse, monitor) still the same. Opened and removed the ATI Radeon HD 5870, and noticed the PRAM battery, replaced it with a new one, thought that fixed it, worked for a long time then it happened again.
Tried Apple Hardware Tester again, it said everything is fine, ran it again an error popped up: 4SNS/1/40000000:Te1S-99.364, wrote it down then it slept.The next time this happens open your mac and see if there is still a fan running. If so you are not sleeping, you are in a thermal cutoff. Keep you mac cover off.
Now reboot as you always do. Take a look at the fan in your 5870. Is it spinning? If so, try to keep an eye on it and see if you can "catch" it not spinning.
When the fan doesn't start, or if it does then stops, the card will overheat and the machine will go into thermal cutoff. The amount of time is variable.
I speak from experience. I am currently on my third 5870 video card. Both the previous two had this fan problem. The only wrinkle in my theory for you is that I wouldn't expect more that, say, 15 minutes of up time at the most, not hours like you got. But it may be that your card is starting ok, but stops sometime later. I chalk it up to the lousy fans Nvidia uses in the 5x70 cards.
FWIW, if you happen to catch the fan stopped before the machine goes into thermal cutoff you can give it a little nudge with your finger to get it going again.
I recommend one of the various temperature monitors. I use iStat Menus and display some key temps in my menu bar. Of course after going through two of these cards I am a bit paranoid!

Note, after typing all this I also realized you got a AHT 4SNS error. I would run AHT again to see if you get that error again. If so that means "Check Main Logic Board" and you may have a more serious hardware problem than just a video card! So my other recommendation is that when you machine fails again look inside for any lit diagnostic leds. There's some near the dimms but there are others on the board as well. -

After going away does it come back randomly too? if that is the case, maybe to do with trackpad sensing your gesture correctly?

Iphone 3g randomly goes into recovery mode all the time?
I have an Iphone 3g version 4.3.5 (8L1). It works fine and i've never dropped it or anything like that. But the first time the problem happened i had just got done sending a text, pushed the lock button, and put it in my pocket. Then a few minutes later i pulled it out to check it and it wouldnt turn on. I held the lock button down and the connect to itunes icon came up, but nothing else. No emergency call option or anything. it wouldnt go away. i connected to itunes and it said it was in recovery mode. I tried to restore it but it came up with an error. i left it and tried again later. i restored but some things were erased. then it worked fine again. but later that night it did it again. so i just plugged it into the charger. in the morning i tried turning it back on again and it turned on without the connect to itunes icon. worked fine all day. but it does this every now and then. when i plug it in it goes back to normal after 10-20 mins. its annoying tho and if im not home my fone is stuck like that until i get back. why does it keep randomly going into recovery mode?

When I share a video with fcpx and it goes to Quicktime, the last few seconds goes mute. I checked the clip and sent that the same route and all is fine. It is only when I send the whole 3gb video. Any ideas?
