FM retrieve role of bp

Hi,
I created new bp in t-code: bp, I would like to know Function Module that retrieve the role of new bp.
My requiremment is want to check role of bp before saving new bp. If it is Business Partner(General), then cannot save.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Thanks for giving fm. It works!!
I have developed new fm by adding this fm into bus7> DCHCK , but I have some issues.
When I created new bp and did not select any roles (default is 000000 business partner),
it can't be saved(That's requirement). Then it cannot be changed or do anything except cancel(F12).
, so I have to cancel this screen. Is there any fm or code to continue creating BP?
Thanks in advance.

  • Retrieve role-activity relationship via papiws

We have a demand from a client who is asking for access the information about the audit trail activities and the role which those activities are associated in an external application.
We’re using PAPIWS’ method processGetVisibleActivities(String) from the WebService, but it only lists information about interactive activities from a process.
I would like to know if there’s a way to retrieve, via Webservice, all activities, like Begin, automatic acitivities and decisions.

    can you look at this

  • Retrieve Role ID and add ICONS

Ok, I have implemented a site map similar to this one:
    /people/prakash.singh4/blog/2005/09/06/create-a-sitemap-for-your-portal
    And it is working, however, I need to scale it down a little bit. I have gotten it down to show only the main topics and no subtopics. What I need to do now is put ICONS/Pictures and Descriptions under the main roles. Right now all I'm going to do is just hard code some text descriptions and I need to know how to retrieve the ROLE ID in order to put the text there using IF statements. For example IF (rootNode.getName() == "Content Administration"); String text = "This role allows you to blah blah...";
Also, I need to know how to add icons with this text description. Any help at all would be great and rewarded with points. If you have any questions or I have exlained it clearly please don't hesitate to email me at [email protected]
    Thanks,

    reimported and now works. thanks

  • Web Services Manager Control, SOA Suite, Retrieving Roles from OID

I am a bit confused about mapping of groups and privileges when it comes to the LDAP (in my case oracle internet directory, OID) and groups defined by Web Services Manager Control.
I am using Web Services Manager Control->Manage Policies to define a gateway (or agent) for my web services. Through
Policy Management > Manage Policies > Policies > Policy
I have also defined some pipeline steps which require authorization by an LDAP provider.(OID)
    I need two things:
    - First I have such roles and groups here in Web Services Manager:
    Administration > Groups / Roles
    Group Name      Role Name
    su1-grp      Super User
    da1-grp      Domain Administrator
    ca1-grp      Component Administrator
    ca2-grp      Component Administrator
which could be set for view and modification of web services. What is the relation between these groups and user groups in Oracle Internet Directory which I authorize against?
    - Second, my web services are invoked from pages which access to them involves authentication and authorization against OID. I need the username/password to be propagated to the webservice automatically. If the web service is presented as a button on such pages, for example, I don't want the user to be forced to enter username/passwords for each call to the services/
I appreciate any comments or reference to books and documents.
    Thank you in advance.
    Best Regards,
    Farbod

    Hi Farbod
Your problem is not new and i have posted in couple of other threads before.
Roles in OID are for you to authorize the web service message itself. In your case when the user logins to your web application and calls the web service, you have to do two things:
    a) Extract Credentials
    b) AUthenticate against LDAP
    c) Perform authorization against LDAP
Now the trick part is, you have to have the same username and password. You have to capture and store in session( ugly ugly..from security point of view) and then when you call the web service, you then invoke with the username and password.
There are other better options available but might require additonal work or infrastructure.
If your web application is protected by Oracle Access Manager or siteminder, you can pass those cookies.
Next option is using SAML. You can generate SAML token on behalf of the user, and attach the SAML token to the web service messsage. In OWSM you then configure to validate SAML token and then you have to write custom step to extract the user name and perform any authorization.
Since anyway you have to write custom step, third option is you can send encrypted cookie ( You web application can create a login session cookie -encrypted after the user signed in ). In OWSM you can write custom step to decrypt the cookie and then perform any validation.
You have the easiest option of sending the same username and password with a security risk, or a custom development approach.
    Thanks
    Ram

  • Tool/Utility/Method to retrieve roles and mapping of those roles.

    Hi friends,
We are running SAP EP6 SP2 on WEB AS 6.20.
I want name and description of all roles created and mapping of those roles ( Roles -> groups and Roles -> Users ) in this system. The one way to do it is using User Administration -> Roles but it'll take a lot of time. Is there any tool/utility/shortcut method available for the same?

    Hi nilz,
I don't think there is any tool as such to do this. U need some programmatic approach for this. U can get the roles using pcd search but I am not sure if u can get the mapping details.

  • RuntimeException while Role Mining (OIA integration with Waveset)

    HI All...
I would appreciate some help with the following, If anybody has any ideas.... plz.
My Appologies if it is in the wrong category but there is no Identity Analytics category.
    My PoC Environment consists of
    Vm #1
    Centos 5.5 (64bit)
    JDK 1.6.0_25 (64bit)
    Oracle Waveset 8.1.1 patch 4 (145769-05)
    MySql (5.0.77)
    Oracle Glassfish 3.1.1 (Zip Distro)
    VM #2
    Centos 5.5 (64Bit)
    JDK 1.6.0_25 (64bit)
    Oracle Identity Analytics 11.1.1.3.6 (p12831135)
    MySql (5.0.77)
    Apache Tomcat 6.0.32
    VM #3
    Centos 5.5 (64Bit)
    JDK 1.6.0_25 (64bit)
    MySql (5.0.77)
All components are installed and configured as described in their respective documentation. Waveset and Analytics each have their own repository locally and the 3rd VM contains a database with 2x Tables (each configured as a resource in Waveset). Table 1x - 32 000 entries, Table 2x 45 000 entries.
Integration was configured and tested successfully.
From a Waveset side the Accounts contained in the 2x Tables have be reconciled with Waveset and shows up as expected. Column mapped, and users on direct resource assignments (No Roles yet...)
From an Analytics side I have done the following:
    1. Import the same Business Structure that was used in Waveset into Analytics using csv import.
    2. Import the Global Users from Waveset using the configured provisioning server instance.
    3. Import the Resource Metadata from Waveset.
    4. Import the Resources from Waveset.
    5. Import the Accounts from Waveset.
Up to this point this all completed successfully.
I ran some custom SQL updates to link the Global Users to the relevant Business Structure (bu_globalusers table) as this was not done during the import. (even thou waveset.organization maps to RMBUname and customproperty1) but no matter.
If I log into Analytics I can go to the Identity Warehouse and see the Business Structure, see the Users assigned to a Business Structure and the Accounts linked to that user.
I can go to Resources and see the Attributes defined under each, as well as sample search results when I select an attribute.
I modified the WEB-INF/rolemining-context.xml: <property name="roleminingAccountThreshold" value="*50000*"/> to allow for the number of records in the database tables during role mining.
I configured the Resource type for one of the resources to have one of the attributes minable. I then went and scheduled a Role Mining Task to mine that resource.
The task ran with the following result:

  • Web/UME Services to fetch list of Portal Roles??

    Hi All,
Are there any out of the box Web or UME services available which can fetch list of Portal Roles based on certain criteria.
Basically I am looking for a service that will fetch list of all Portal Roles (PCD & UME) and will take couple of input parameters, a Role Name/ID & the permission property "Role Assigner"
    Thanks
    Sandip

    Thanks for your reply.
But I guess these forums shows how to retrieve roles & its sub-ordinates for a particular user. Where as I am trying to retrieve all PCD roles for which I have "Role Assigner" permission.
Basically I am building a delegated admin functionality on Portal using custom coding. It is the same as Portal out of box Del User Admin but I am not using it because of some other enhancements.
I will have many user admins and the roles they can assign to users are determined by the "Role Assigner" permission. So its like, User_Admin_RoleA has access to 5 Portal Roles, User_Admin_RoleB has access to some other 5 roles and so on.
So just wanted to know if there are standard Portal service (like we have for KM) available to do this.
    Thanks
    Sandip

  • Erorr in while mapping users to role

in Jdeveloper . When we assign names to role in Organization, it is unable to retrieve roles form the connection. We have installed the jar file availbe in demo community . The connection to Application Server is successful. Is any body can help to overcome this issue.
Edited by: Venkat Ram on May 14, 2010 6:14 AM

    Hi,
I am also facing the same issue while trying to map the users to the Role. What I am doing is:
    1) Open the Organization from BPM Navigator.
    2) Select Roles tab and try to add the Members to the Role.
    3) Choose option User from the Type drop down.
    4) Click on Add icon (+).
    5) Create server connection. (Tests successful)
Once done, the realms do not get retrieved in the Realm drop down. When I click the search icon I get an error in pop up saying "Server Exception: Connection Refused from server". I can not see a stack trace in the JDeveloper's Messages/Log section
I am using the BPM11g VM and the Lab guide says, roles seeding and user seeding is already done for the VM image so I did not attempt that.
Venkat are you facing the same problem?

  • OPSS/JAAS and UCM roles

(I'm sorry, my question will be a bit long-winded, but it's necessary because I want to provide more background information)
I've been trying to get JAAS working for UCM. From what I understand from the documentation, in 11g this is handled in Weblogic.
I started by doing an experiment in Weblogic first - I wrote a simple web application with security constraint specified, and wrote a custom LoginModule (as specified in JAAS), a custom authentication provider and my custom group and principal classes. I generated the MBean and deployed it to Weblogic. I set my custom authentication provider behind Weblogic's default, and set both providers to "SUFFICIENT". My custom LoginModule pulls user data from properties files and my simple web application works correctly, limiting access as defined in the security constraints in web.xml.
Then I started to work on UCM (which is in the same domain as my experiment above). I found authentication working too, but once logged in to UCM, my users don't get any roles assigned - the UCM Home Page shows the menu item for guests only.
Looking at the security log of Weblogic, I found the default XACML Role Mapper didn't include the UCM roles. Then it came to me that my simple application had additional security roles defined in its web.xml while UCM didn't have an equivalent config.
So I implemented a custom RoleMapper and a custom SecurityRole class as well, again pulling data from properties files. I made my RoleMapper always return the same set of roles ("admin", "contributor", "Testing" and "Admin"), and they were seen in Weblogic security log:
    ####<Feb 7, 2011 3:43:29 PM CST> <Debug> <SecurityAtz> <HOSTNAME> <UCM_server1> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '8' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <<WLS Kernel>> <> <11d1def534ea1be0:3c3ba107:12dfe46f824:-8000-0000000000000d31> <1297064609445> <BEA-000000> <com.bea.common.security.internal.service.AccessDecisionServiceImpl.isAccessAllowed Roles=[ "Anonymous" "admin" "contributor" "Testing" "Admin" ]>
However that didn't work in UCM, I still got only guest roles.
Finally I found out about Credential Map settings in UCM administration. I added these mappings:
    admin, admin
    contributor, contributor
The map was highlighted as current map.
It's only then I get "Content Management" menu when I login. Yet the "Administration" menu is still missing.
    I have several questions:
    1. Why is the Credential Map in UCM necessary? Since adding the mapping works (for contributor, anyway), UCM must already have the credentials added by my custom RoleMapper, and the mapping doesn't change anything.
    2. Is there a way to skip/replace the Credential Map in UCM? Will implementing a Credential Mapping Provider in Weblogic do (and how to tell UCM to use it)?
    3. How can I get the admin role working for my external users?

It seems JPS provider is unable to access the data I added in my custom authentication provider/role mapper? I can login web applications in Weblogic just fine though. If needed I can post the code of my custom providers.
Also I am unable to get the contributor role working even if I put the credential mapping back in UCM. Is this because of JPS running and taking things over?

  • How to fetch Portal Roles ??

    Hi,
I am using UME Api for handling users. But i am uable to fetch the Portal roles. Using ume apis we can fetch ume roles but not portal roles.
I am able to manage the users  using the same ume apis.
The current version EP 6.0 SPS02 is the what i am using at my end.
The program which i am running outside the EP, I am trying to fetch the portal roles on standalone java program (not a servlet but a simple java program using ume apis) and i am unable to fetch any roles.
if someone have faced the similar program then pls let me know how i can fix it this issue since it is little urgent and i have been stuck with this problem for quite sometime.  If you can give a sample code that would be great.

    HI,

  • CRM To ECC Sold to party Communication Details Not populated in ECC

    Hi All
i have one problem when we create sales order through crmd_order we need to give sold to party and ship to party numbers suppose like
8000002166 for both and status i keep as order created and in partner tab i i seem all partner funtions(sold to, ship to ,bill to, payer)with 8000002166
in header overivew i given posting date as feature date like 30-09-2013 then i try to save this order.
the order generated sucussfully but problem is i am not getting sold to party details in ECC when i check VA03 And open cretaed order in CRM and clicking on sold to party and i seem details for this but i am not getting communication details like telephone number and email id extension number.
for this sold to party we already maintained all communication details in CRM.When i open this sold to party BP i am able to see all details
didnt understand why these details not replicated to ECC?
We implemented one custom class there we implemented badi.
    IF_EX_CRM_DATAEXCHG_BADI~CRM_DATAEXCH_AFTER_BAPI_FILL
i am not getting BAPI ADDRESS Table values into  CT_BAPIADDR1
how can i send communciation details to ECC For sold to party?

    Hello,
I believe you did not set up your classpath according to the doc.
Specifically I think you did not put @WL_HOME/server/lib in classpath.
The script runs fine on my machine. Please follow the readme.txt,
especially step 3 and step 4:
    3. Extract the following files from the WLST offline configuration kit:
NOTE: <WL_HOME> refers to the root directory of your WebLogic
    Platform installation.
By default, the pathname for this directory is c:\bea\weblogic81.
o WLST JAR files, including config.jar, comdev.jar, and 3rdparty.jar, to
    <WL_HOME>\common\lib.
NOTE: It is recommended that you back up the existing JAR files.
    For version compatibility,
they may have to be used when you use non-WLST related Weblogic
    features.
    o runWLSTOffline.cmd and runWLSTOffline.sh script files to
    <WL_HOME>\common\bin.
o (Optional) Sample script files to the desired location.
    4. Update the CLASSPATH environment variable to include the following
    WebLogic Server,
Jython, and WLST files and directories:
NOTE: <JYTHON_HOME> refers to the root directory of your Jython
    installation.
    <WL_HOME>\server\lib
    <WL_HOME>\server\lib\weblogic.jar
    <JYTHON_HOME>\jython.jar
    <WL_HOME>\common\lib\config.jar
    <WL_HOME>\common\lib\comdev.jar
    <WL_HOME>\common\lib\3rdparty.jar
    Thanks,
    -satya

  • Security problem about JCOM

    Hi,
Now we are using IIS/ASP page to connect to EJB. This is the code below:
    Dim mobjHome
    Dim mobjBean
    dim mobjList
    Private Function BindObjects()
    Dim objTemp
    'Handle errors
    On Error resume next
    'Initialize function value
    BindObjects = True
'Access WebLogic Server. Set here to localhost, port 7001.
    Set objTemp = GetObject("objref:TUVPVwEAAAAABAIAAAAAAMAAAAAAAABGABAAAAAAAABKaW50ZWdyYVRhbGtUb01lV2hhdHNBbGxUaGlzVGhlbhkAEgAHAGwAbwBjAGEAbABoAG8AcwB0AFsANwAwADAAMQBdAAAAAAAKAP//AAAAAAAAAAAAAA==:")
         if err.number>0 then
         BindObjects = False
         response.write "Error number:" & cstr(Err.Number) & "<BR>"
         response.write "Error Desc:" & Err.Description & "<BR>"
         'Notify user and end sub
response.write "An error occurred while GetObject.<br>"
         exit function
         end if
'Bind the EJB AccountHome object via JNDI
    Set mobjHome = objTemp.get("examplesServer:jndi:ejb20-containerManaged-AccountHome")
         if err.number>0 then
         BindObjects = False
         response.write "Error number:" & cstr(Err.Number) & "<BR>"
         response.write "Error Desc:" & Err.Description & "<BR>"
         'Notify user and end sub
response.write "An error occurred while objTemp.Get.<br>"
         exit function
         end if
    Set mobjBean = mobjHome.create()
         if err.number>0 then
         BindObjects = False
         response.write "Error number:" & cstr(Err.Number) & "<BR>"
         response.write "Error Desc:" & Err.Description & "<BR>"
         'Notify user and end sub
response.write "An error occurred while mobjHome.create().<br>"
         exit function
         end if
    'Find accounts with a balance > LARGE_BALANCE
    Set mobjList = FindBigTypes(700)
         if err.number>0 then
         BindObjects = False
         response.write "Error number:" & cstr(Err.Number) & "<BR>"
         response.write "Error Desc:" & Err.Description & "<BR>"
         'Notify user and end sub
response.write "An error occurred while FindBigTypes.<br>"
         exit function
         end if
    'Exit before error code
    Exit Function
    End Function
There is an error occured when running
    Set mobjHome = objTemp.get("examplesServer:jndi:ejb20-containerManaged-AccountHome")
It told me "Access denied". Is there any setting I need to do in Weblogic server?
    Thank you!
    Best regards!
    Xianyu

ADF SecurityContext is populated after execution of "/adfAuthentication" servlet so you can't get roles with ADFContext.getCurrent().getSecurityContext().getUserRoles() in your login method.
Maybe you can retrieve roles with:
    Set<Principal> allPrincipals = mySubject.getPrincipals();
    for (Principal principal : allPrincipals) {
          if(principal instanceof WLSGroupImpl ) {
               roles.add(principal.getName());
(note that this will retrieve 'enterprise' roles and not application roles)
