FM10 Progress-bar indicator shows no progress

I'm using FM10 (v10.0.2.419) on Windows 7 OS.
When I print to postscript, the pink ribbon that used to show the progess does not display any longer,
and the percentages indicator remains at 0%.
Any ideas? My colleague right next to me is using the same SW and HW and does not have this problem.

Do you see the page numbers increasing below the progress bar (thermometer in FM's parlance)? Does the job "print" to completion? What device are you printing to?
You could check your maker.ini file to see if the colour definition has been changed to be a background grey. The default setting should be:

There are two versions of the maker.ini file. The global one in the %FMhome% folder and the user-specific one in the \Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\FrameMaker\11 folder.

I would have thrown a prompt to the user in the renderasJpeg
function and removed it in last line of convertToImage function.

Reply to myself...... Thank you, thank you, thank you chersgroupie!!!! Turning the WiFi off worked and the update finished in about 5 minutes on 4G!!! Note: at the start of update my instructions were: plug in if not full battery and use WiFi!!!!! Hard to explain to your 3 year old why they can't have their tablet and you've done what you were instructed to do!!! I pay too much a month for this kind of preventable aggravation!!!

3.1 Stacked bar chart shows no color by default - Override possible?

I noticed in Studio 3.1, stacked bar charts show no color by default. I also read in the documentation that this is the default behavior:
"The chart is initially displayed with no color dimension selected. End users can then select a color dimension. The chart is also reset to display without a color dimension whenever the chart configuration is changed."
I noticed that the chart is also reset to display no color when the user logs off. This is rather annoying for users if they must select the color indicator on all charts every time they log on. Is there a way to override this default so that the chart displays color by default? That's how it worked in 3.0.

Unfortunately, this can't be overridden for 3.1. We have heard similar feedback from others, and are looking into it for the future.

Also, I have noticed that every once in awhile you can not close tabs you've opened, either by pushing on the X button and/or clicking on the mouse to close it. Although closing the window and opening it again (without closing the Firefox application) seemed to rectify the problem in the short term, it's becoming quite annoying.

First, download the add-on SQManager. This should be included with FireFox, it is really good.
Look for the file '''moz_hosts''' in the folder '''places.sqlite'''.
Don't delete the file, just delete the information in the file. My file has over 3600 websites, which go back years!! I did not know they were there, but I was frustrated about not being able to get rid of them. They popped up every time I used the address bar. Clearing my history would not get rid of them.
This is where they are stored!! I found that by deleting the pesky web site from '''moz_hosts''', it does not appear in my address bar anymore!!!
I think that if I just delete all the websites in moz_hosts....

As long as you don't delete the file, just empty it, FireFox won't know the difference. It will just keep adding websites to it until you empty it again.
Why running "clear recent history" doesn't do this, I don't know. You are doing manually what "clear recent history" is not doing.

Have you tried the standard fixes:
- Reset:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore the iPod from backup via iTunes
- Restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod.
If still problem you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I have a problem since installing ios6 when backing up to a laptop I got a message stating there was not enough room on the c: drive, the iTunes bar indicated that apps, etc were using space, but the yellow 'others' category was eating up all the space

I'm running out of space on the bar that shows the usage split (how many gb's for apps photos, music etc) the yellow 'others' category seems to be taking up all the available space. This is happening after updating to ios6. I don't seem to be able to get the backup on my laptop to complete successfully. I'm also unable to get Music to work on the phone. The picture of the cloud appears on screen, sometimes the blue bar appears, but after a while it bombs out and nothing else happens. Any ideas?

It does not immediately delete the files that are missing.. it merely tries to backup the new files it has discovered on the external drive. Since you moved the files there, the backup at least for a while will contain both copies.. and that is why it doesn't have enough space to backup.
Fixing the problem.. hmm pondini is the expert.. you should be able to delete the backup of the photos in existing backup.. there are instructions to do it.. but it is a very poor way to do things.
Much better. .archive off the existing backup.. this is long and slow but worth it. you need a usb drive of the same size as the TC drive. Then erase the TC and start a fresh set of backups.
The alternative is to use the USB drive as a new target.. but it is much slower than the TC internal drive.

How do I get the address bar to show the url of the site that I'm on?

In the old version of firefox, the address bar would show the url of the site I was on. When I would change tabs, the address bar would change to reflect the url of the tab. In the new version, the url of the current site will not show unless I hit the identity info button. This is really frustrating because I want the url to show up automatically, instead of showing the last thing I typed or the last site that I was on. How do you tell if the advanceddatagrid scroll bars are showing? This is because the grid crashes when mouse scroll events are firing when theres not enough data so that scroll bars are not showing

Basically when you have enough data in a datagrid so that it cannot all be displayed at once, you have the scrollbars showning allowing you to scroll.When you can see all the data or rows at once you cannot see the scrollbars. What I need to test for is whether these SB's are currently showning.
