FMLA Workbench Security

We are in the process of implementing FMLA workbench at my client site, I have come across a problem with FMLA workbench and the use of profiles, Does anyone know how to restrict the role from selecting only one profile instead of selecting all options available when executing transaction PTFMLA_PROF.

Time Management: FMLA Workbench issue

Hello:
We are using SAP 6.0, and implemented the FMLA Workbench last year at Go-live; however, we still do not have complete functionality for employees on UNPAID Leaves of absences. The problem is that our business process requires us to create an unpaid LOA action, which skips IT2001 so no absence types are used for the employees. They are on an INACTIVE payroll status, and our HR benefits interfaces are configured as such (and employee needs to remain on INactive payroll status).
We are exploring a way to enable the unpaid absences to flow into the Workbench, so can someone tell us how we set up the absence type time constraints so that we can enter an unpaid absence type for a person in inactive status? Has someone had similar experiences?

Can I ask, why the need for using unpaid absences if the employee is on Inactive Status?
Also, we are trying to determine if we should use FMLA Workbench at all, and wondered if you are using it for other absences, LTD, STD, etc.? So far it looks like it's best for only FMLA processing.

I have tried doing all permutations. I configured the following Views
V_T7US_FMLA_RSN
V_T7US_FMLA_RULE
V_T7US_FMLA_DETR
V_T7US_FMLA_WWK
V_T7US_FMLA_DETW
And even configured the feature WWKMO
Still I am getting the error
No FMLA rules have been set up for personnel number 00000001
Please help.

FMLA standard hours infotype 2001 not editable when working with date range

Hi All,
The issue described below arises at the Juncture between FMLA Workbench and Absence Infotype IT2001.
When we try to tie a FMLA Request to Absences the process takes us to the Infotype PA2001 screen wherein we would like the Absence Hours Field to be Editable so that we could enter Hours (less than full day).
The process works fine when the FMLA absence is for a single day, i.e. if an employee availed a FMLA leave on a day (whether full day or part of a day) the Absence Hours field (PA2001-STDAZ) is editable and the user can enter any number of hours of his choice.
But the process faces a glitch when the FMLA absence spans over a period of time (i.e. an employee availed a FMLA leave for over a period wherein each day may or may not be a full day absence, in this scenario it would be best if the system allow the user to enter Absence Hours so that the User could enter the exact number of Absence hours correctly. But unfortunately, when an absence spans multiple days the Infotype 2001 screen dynamically turns the Absence Hours field (PA2001-STDAZ) uneditable (grayed out) and the system forcefully enters hours equal to the sum of the work schedule hours for each working day covered in the span of period for which we are trying to enter FMLA Absence Hours.
I have used the USER EXIT and the BADI route and tried to change the Screen Table to editable, but with no luck.
Wondering, if anyone of you could help me out of this glitch.

   I don't think this is possible.
   You cannot make the Hours field editable for a date range.
   I don't think its feasible to enter absence hours on a day basis given a date range.
   Better think of creating a custom infotype to enter absence hours .
   (Design would be : based on the date range entered , say 01.01.2011 to 05.01.2011 , you should get five input enabled
     boxes(dynamically) for five days to enter the absence hours , this is not possible in standard infotype ..... )

Report Manager: Security Workbench missing Add Value Sets

When I navigate Report Manager Super User -> Security Workbench, I do not see the Add Value Sets button or link.
Can someone tell me why I'm missing this?

I do not yet know the security implications of doing what I did to fix this issue, but here is my solution.
I added the following to the jre7 java.policy file in the section "grant {":
permission java.lang.RuntimePermission "accessClassInPackage.sun.security.action";

Restricted Access in Compensation Workbench based on Security Profile

Customer does not want the HR Professional to access at other team's data even when using Switch Manager in the below scenario.
1) 2 CWB Plans (CWB Plan for A, CWB Plan for B) are built based on Supervisor Hierarchy. Each of the CWB plan is for a set of organisations for e.g a plan for Organisation 'A' and another for Organisation 'B'.
2) HR Professionals have a security Profile which restricts them to view employees in either 'A or 'B' organisation.
3) Switch Manager is enabled for the 'Compensation Workbench Administrator'
4) There exists a common manager who manages people from 'A' and from 'B'
5) When HR Professional (who is in the A organisation) switches as the Manager in point (4), he gets to see the details of the 'CWB Plan for B' along with the 'CWB Plan for A' even though the people in the B plan are not part of the HR Professional's security Profile

As per my requirement, if i change the security group in checkin form, values should be change in the SubType drop down list.
Created checkin profile there was DCL relation to " Type and "Sub Type" . now i want to map Relation ( DCL ) for subtype to security group.
i was trying do for DCL for subtype and security group. but there was already existing DCL created for subtype information field (Relation configuration done for content type). even though i was trying to do for DCL in Security group information field. but, i could not find security group information field in configuration manager.
Now what should i do ?? how to create DCL to subtype and security group ??

We are trying to setup a security profile based on supervisor hierarchy for the cwb switch manager function but that is
not seems to work.
we want HR managers to switch to any managers within thier security profile to allocate compensation on behalf of managers .But the HR
managers should have exactly the same access as the managers they are switching
to for this reason i have created some custom responsibilities and assigned it
to HR managers with the securtiy profile setup but i might be making a mistake
in creating a security profile that doesnt seem to work .
please help me on this issue because this issue is of a very high importance to us.

RWB application cannot be started after PI 7.1 installation

I don't know what is wrong. 
I have configured: 
- SLDCHECK work properly, 
- none of the users PI* type not lock, 
- password to the PI* users in exchangeProfile entered correctly, 
- In VA in the JCo RFC Provider I have properly configure: AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER, LCRSAPRFC, SAPSLDAPI_SID - from the ABAP I can connect to this programs ID 
- In VA in SLD Data Supplier I have properly configure bookmarks HTTP Settings and CIM Client Generation Settings. CIMClient Test is OK 
 
I do not know what else I can see, what else I have properly configured ... I looked at the notes:: 936093 jak i 721548... 
 
 
2. I can't send data from XI to SLD, ie makes me a system definition in Web As Abap and Web as Java but nothing appear to me in Exchange Infrastructure. Exchange Infrastructure is empty - what is wrong??

I increased logging in the NWA (Configuration -> Log Configuration) - and increased the some things here to log ALL. So that from the NWA (Monitoring -> Logs and Traces) I see a little more information (but does not follow that with which the user is a problem). 
 
Here are some interesting logs ... 
I was most rash or irritation of those that say about the lack of credentials u2013 I must use Viusal Administrator and set good service ... 
 
What do I have done: 
In the Visual Administrator -> Cluster -> Server -> Services -> SLD Data Supplier 
I have set in the HTTP Settings tab the host and port SLD, the user name and password is also entered as it is in the SLD. To be sure, already have set for the user entered here such roles as: 
SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR 
SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR 
SAP_SLD_DEVELOPER 
SAP_SLD_GUEST 
SAP_SLD_ORGANIZER 
Maybe we are talking in this place about a different user? 
 
Similarly, when it comes to tab CIM Client Generation Settings - here's all the same thing done. CIMClient test shows that everything is OK. 
When I click the button: This trigger the transfer of data to the SLD gets the message that everything was shipped correctly. Indeed, I received an instance of JAVA in SLD 
Also clicked on this icon: Assign application roles to user group - got information that everything is attached properly. 
 
By ABAP side, the connections: INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI, SAPSLDAPI, LCRSAPRFC, AI_RUNTIME_JCOSERVER and AI_DIRECTORY_JCOSERVER work correctly, ie I can perform the test - which means that programs ID are properly positioned in JCO Provider in VA. 
 
Puzzling is this message:

Error while launching Workbench ES 8.2 on windows Vista

I successfully installed Workbench ES 8.2 on windows Vista. When i was trying to launch Workbench it is throwing an error and it does not open workbench.
Error : An error has occurred. See the log file
C:\Program Files\Adobe\LiveCycle ES\Workbench ES\Workbench\workspace\.metadata\.log
I do not even have "\workspace\.metadata\.log" this directory at all.
Please help....

I ran into that problem too. If "Run as Administrator" doesn't work (I don't think it did for me), re-install Workbench in "C:\Adobe\" NOT "C:\Program Files\Adobe\", which is the default. I think the Program Files folder has some kind of security setting on it that doesn't allow Workbench to add log entries.
Once I did that, I've been able to run Workbench on Vista with little or no issue (even though technically Adobe doesn't support Vista yet).

WebDynpro development vs. ports and IE security settings?

Hi!
We have Sapgui running in a Citrix server and its hosted there for multiple developers. The backend they access is SRM where they need to do WebDynpro development work.
Problem is that when going to the WebDynpro editor screen and choosing the layout tab they can see only a blank page!
What are the requirements for the WebDynpro development workbench in terms of:
- Ports required open between the Citrix host machine and SAP server? We have already opened ports 32nn and 80nn.
- Internet Explorer settings that should be looked at? Security settings that must be enabled?
- Any other settings in host or client side that needs to be checked?

you are sending back the wrong mime-type + it appears that you are not using response.close after streaming back the image in your asp.net code behind.

in the address bar... the image loads but the document.readyState does not reach loaded. there is no EOF in the response body and it is served as text/html not image/jpg.
ensure Internet Options>Security tab, click "Reset all zones to default"... (IE has security settings for mime types) and also that Tracking Protection is turned off for the site (Tools>Tracking protection)
+ the defer attribute on the <script> tag only applies to script tags with a src attribute... validate and correct your markup errors at validator.w3.org.
