FMS on EC2 are unstable

Hi,
     I am using FMS on EC2 from March and its performance make me please. Unfortunately, it becomes unstable from this weekend, we can not connect to FMS in our video chat even though we do not modify any changes in client and server code, the proof is when we download the development server and connect our app to this server, our app works perfectly. I also check the port 80. 1935 and it worked as expected.
    I also use the test port program http://www.jakehilton.com/?q=node/43, and sometimes the connection RTMP (port 80, 1935) works well and sometimes it does not. I do think the FMS is not unstable but not sure how to fix. Any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks much.

Thanks for your reply, but this is sounds disappointing. The startring costs of setting up our own FMS servers and aquiring the licences is somewhat prohibitive  in stepping into the FMS (and most of all P2P) business, so the EC2 option was looking very attractive (for all the standard pro-cloud arguments).
Can you elaborate on why FMS on EC2 is not available in all Amazon Regions? My guess is it's probably some legal or business issue?
And regarding our options if we cannot run the standard Adobe provided AMI's:
Can we still instal FMS on EC2 ourselves if we get normal FMS Enterprise licences? And if we'd do that, what will this mean for the amount of RTFMP connection cap like the one that is applied to the instances based on the Adobe AMIs?

  • Facebook games are unstable, please help.

    Today I got a new PC and I quickly found out that Facebook games like Jetpack Joyride are very unstable; the framerate frequently stutters and there are also slight slowdown/speed problems. The audio is fine, though.
    These are my system specs, sorry if I forgot something. Everything is up to date afaik.
    Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)  // Intel Core i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz  // 16GB Ram  // Nvidia GeForce GTX 680  // Firefox 19.0.2  // Flash Player 11.6.602.180
    Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? A compatibility issue, maybe?

    I found the problem, it seems that FireFox is pathetic at running Flash games. Google Chrome works much better, I can play them flawless now.

  • Something causes video to skip with FMS if we are starting our player after we started a stream with

    Hi, I'm playing live stream supporting FMLE from FMS. There is no problem with playing if we are starting at first the player and then we are starting the stream with FMLE. The video skipping problem is occurs only if we are starting first the stream with FMLE and than our player.
    The versions:  FMLE 3.0.1.5963, FMIS 4.0.0, Flash Player 10.1.53.64, and codec h.264
    Is this a bug in FMS/FMLE or I'm doing something wrong?

    Ideally order of publish and play should not matter - i mean whichever way it should work fine. When you say video skipping problem what do you exactly mean - you mean you get only audio, also are you playing live or DVR stream?

  • Since last update desktop icon are unstable when closing firefox and firefon doen't release immediately

    A recent update to Firefox caused my desktop icons to become unstable and Firefox will not release immediately after closing the program.

    Thank you so much wchp, this is brilliant. I have had this annoying problem for a long time. I eventually rang Mac support, they did not know how to fix the problem as you have suggested so they instigated many hardware replacements which eventually left my iMac severely crippled. They eventually replaced it with the latest model. But I spent two months working with a disabled computer which really interfere with my work.
    Your solution appears to have solved my problem, at least so far, but I am hopeful that it is a permanent fix. I hope that your suggestions are taken up by Apple support. This may solve many users problems and avoid Apple making expensive fixes that don't actually work.
    I thought that the new iMac would not have the 'Wake up from sleep by painting in the login window' problem but it did, this really annoyed me. Anyway now the problem appears to be solved, it's not I will repost and keep working on it. Thanks again.

  • Parental controls are unstable

    I run osx 10.8.2 on my Imac and administer to my 5 kids accounts that I have on my computer. when on thier accounts everything is unstable. If I allow a certain program it might not allow them to use it or it might let them use it but only after they click on it fifty times. also web sites that I allow them to use randomly get "forgoten" and they can no longer access them. this is really anoying for all the sub applications.

    Double check to make sure your PC settings are correct.  Then use Software Update to update your OS  to 10.8.3.  Also, update everything SU has to offer for your computer.  When done, repair permissions and restart your computer.

  • WiFi connections are unstable on multiple different WiFi networks

    Has there been any updates on the unstable WiFi connection issues with the Note 3? I have this issue with multiple different WiFi networks even though signal strength is not an issue when it happens. I picked up my Note 3 in August/Sept 2013.
    1. Work WiFi
    2. Home 2.4G channel and 5G channel
    From what I have searched so far, I am by far not the only person with this issue, but I have yet to see a fix or any kind of legitimate input  from Verizon on this issue.
    The issue even happens in SafeMode so I know its not an app that I downloaded that is causing this issue.

    Samsung is aware of the issue. The fix is supposedly with Kit Kat.
    They may suggest you going to a Best Buy mobile and have the software removed and put back on. Been there done that, didn't work.
    Sending a replacement out isn't going to help. It is a known software issue, and it will continue until there is a build that fixes the issue. IE: Kit Kat.
    You should have the MJE build. This software is the problem. MJ5 was no problem. If you get a replacement MJE should be on it, if not as soon as you put the SIM card in it will start to download it.

  • SCXI 1126 frequency channels are unstable when two or more are connected.

    I have two proximity sensors picking up the spoke of a pully wired into my SCXI-1126 module.  The signal jumps around a lot while both are working.  When only one is sensing and the other is not the signal works good without any problems.  It seems like I am getting cross talk between the two channels.  This is not the first time I've used an 1126 module.  I've done it in other applications with similar sensors without problems.  Could it be the type of prox switch I'm using?  I've got two omron npn sensors.  Is there something else that I am overlooking.

  • Plug-in page tells me all plug-ins are up to date, but I keep getting error messages from Firefox telling me they are not and are unstable

    I keep getting error messages stating that my Adobe Flash is out of date and vulnerable. I go to the Add-ons Manager, click "update" and it takes me to the plug-in page which shows it's up to date!! Same with Java DT and Shockwave Flash. How can I update if I have the latest versions already!?! I am inclined to just allow the plug-ins to work but don't want my pc to become vulnerable. Please help!

    hello Danagriz, unfortunately the plugin check page lags behind. adobe has released a critical patch for a vulnerability in its flash plugin, which is reportedly already exploited in the wild. therefore firefox will block insecure versions from running by default on websites for your protection.

    please update to Adobe Flash Player version 16.0.0.235 as soon as possible, which you can download from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html (use the windows-exe for plugin-based browsers).
    in order to update java, go to java.com (or if you don't need the plugin you can also uninstall it though the windows control panel)

  • Firefox menu's are unstable wont stay visable on screen

    the main menu and sub menu, as well as any right click menu's keep "flickering" in and out. running Win 7 64bit.

    finally completed the disabling process, its not that I use alot of add-ons/plug ins its just that I lack the right time/motivation combination most days to do it.
    Now everytime I did a reset on a disable the menus started coming up clear and fine again. the following time I opened Firefox, it was all back to square 1 with the instability.
    could this be a firefox and 64bit issue, is there a special 64bit version or plug in that needs to be used with vanilla firefox?

  • Bookmarks are unstable - opening and closing in 1 second - cannot get to folders

    I run 7 ultimate - IE favorites has the same problem. File rename also closes with the first letter of the change or within 1 sec. File names can be changed though properties. Restore only goes back a couple of days and does not correct anything. The borders of Firefox and most other programs pulse every second or so. I am frustrated - Help would be greatly appreciated.     Try to disable hardware acceleration.
    *Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    *Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

    Currently I don't believe that anyone that has sent their phone in for repairs or replacement has had the issue with the touch buttons fixed. A few of the members of this forum have determined a fix for the issue but from what I have read Nokia has yet to implement something similar to fix the issue so that means people are still having the issue when they get their phones back or a new phone.
    Basically, what causes the issue is that there is interference from the speaker magnet that causes the buttons to be unresponsive or act on their own. This issue can be fixed but Nokia will not allow me to post it on the forum because it technically means voiding your warranty. Hopefully, they will take a look at what it takes to fix this issue instead of just deleting and ignoring the posts of people that have found the answer.
    I used to have the issue every time I watched a video, played a game or even just surfing online. I applied this fix last night and have not had the issue once since then and I watched a couple hours of video, sat through an hour long conference call which I also sent texts during, and played online.
    Having this problem fixed makes it feel like a new phone and so much more responsive! I will give it a few more days of testing and then I will be putting together a video, an instructable and an email into Nokia support so hopefully everyone can get this issue fixed!
