  • How to preserve custom page numbers when combining PDF's?

When combining multiple PDF's into one, the custom page numbers are lost.
Example: As four separate files (one page each), the pages are numbered as follows:  AC-77, AC-78, AC-79, AC-80.  When combining them into a single PDF, the page numbers become 1, 2, 3, 4.
How can I preserve the original page numbers?

  • How to save custom settings

I was wondering if anyone knows of a software that allows you to save custom quicktime export settings so that one can easily go back and compress videos from pre-selected settings opposed to just using the 'use recent settings' option.
I know of rooVid but it does not work for leopard.
    Please advise thanks.

MPEG Streamclip (free) will allow you to save named "Presets" which can be recalled/loaded as needed when using Streamclip to perform the various exports via the QT/QT component structure embedded in the current OS. (I.e., the created file is not for use by QT Pro itself.)

  • I don't seem to be able to activate the Never Remember History in Privacy. It is set to Use Custom Settings, I change it to Never Remember History but whenever I open up options, it has reverted to Never remember history. How can I change it? Thank you

At the moment my privacy settings are Use Custom Settings in Private Browsing mode with no third party cookies. Recently however when I log out of hotmail the msn homepage comes up. So I decided to change to never remember history settings. However, whenever I change it, it always reverts back to Use Custom Settings. Why and how can I change it?
    Thank you

Firefox shows the "Use custom settings for history" setting as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".
You enter Private Browsing mode if you select:
    * Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history" > [X] "Always use private browsing mode"

  • Firefox 3.6.16 won't keep the "custom settings for history", thus causing page-load issues - any clue how to make it "stick"?

Ever since I updated to Firefox 3.6.x I am getting constant page-load errors on apps in Facebook. I've cleared the history, the cache, cookies... and will literally set it for the "custom history settings" in my tools/options/privacy tab, reload the page, it's fine. I go to another page and come back to the app (same window) and get the error message again. Back to tools/options/privacy and "Remember History" is showing, rather than the custom settings. This is happening incessantly.

I also have this problem and it just started in the last week or so. It seems to be dependent on my home network and the problem only exists with firefox. I have used chrome and IE8 with no issues. I can verify tomorrow that it only exists in my network but one thing I was able to test is that the problem exists even on my linux boot. I am totally dumbfounded with this problem and I can't find anything that will allow the gmail page to load. All other pages I have tried load fine, all be it a little slower than normal but they load. If anyone knows of a difference between firefox and all other browsers on how it goes through the router I would appreciate the info cause I don't know of any differences.

  • How to execute automatic Workflow customizing settings in swu3 transaction

    Hi Folks,
We are trying to execute automatic Workflow customizing settings in swu3 transaction. My basis team has done all settings except maintain prefix numbers" and "check entries from HR control tables.Basis team is asking us to do these settings(either functional/abaper). When I am trying to execute check entries from HR control tables am getting an error. Please find attached screenshot of the same.
Maintain Prefix numbers settings is maintained but still it is showing red.
Please suggest how should I be doing this.
    Regards
    Jaya

    Hi Jaya,
Maintain Prefix Number -  As far as my knowledge concerned Prefix number is required to create the Org determination rule. Org. determination rule contains the eight digits, in which first 3 digits come from the prefix number.
    1. Use the T-Code SWU3
    2. Go to Maintain Definition Environment
    3. Click on Maintain Prefix number and click f8 (execute).
    4. Create new entry with
         a) three digit prefix number (unique)
         b) Sap system
         c) Client
         d) Package
I hope this will help you. Kindly attach the screen shot of the error.
    Regards,
    Dinesh.

  • When I try to set my 'History Setting' to 'Use custom settings for history' it doesn't appply - it continually defults to 'Never Remember History' - how do I fix it?

When I got into my 'History Setting' and click on 'Use custom settings for history' it doesn't apply. I click on the 'OK' tab and it appears to apply and then closes. When I go back into it, in order to see if it applied, it has reset back to the 'Never Remember History'. How do I fix it?

If "Never Remember History" is displayed then that means that you are in Private Browsing mode and that all other history settings have the default value.
If you intend to run Firefox in Private Browsing mode the that is OK.<br />
Otherwise you need to leave mode.
To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting <b>Firefox will: Use custom settings for history</b>
    * Deselect: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"

The customized settings on my toolbar periodically disappear, and I have to re-set them. How can I avoid this nuisance?

If you mean you're about to perform a restore from a backup to a new device, it depends on the app.  Some will retain their passwords, some will not.  That's my experience.

  • I have selected "Use custom settings for history" and pressed "OK" but it defaults back to "Remember history", how do I stop this?

I have to enable cookies in order to have an online purchase credited to my mileage account. So, I opened Firefox Tool and selected Options then Privacy. There, I changed "Remember history" to "Use custom settings for history," as, this will achieve what I am trying to do. However, when I press "OK" the box jumps back to the Privacy box and I see that "Remember history" is still the setting. What steps do I take to prevent the Privacy box from defaulting to "Remember history" when I want to change that setting to something else?

The "Use custom settings for history" selection allows to see the current history and cookie settings, but selecting this doesn't make any changes to history and cookie settings.
Firefox shows "Use custom settings for history" as an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings is not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
If all History settings are default then the custom settings are hidden and you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History".
"Never Remember History" means that Private Browsing is active and "Always use private browsing mode" gets a checkmark.
Do you have a problem with the cookies?
You can inspect and manage permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:
*Click the "[[Site Identity Button|Site Identity Button]]" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar
*Click "More Information" to open "Tools > Page Info" with the Security tab selected
*Go to the Permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > Permissions) to check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

  • How to preserve OSB security settings while deploying a existing project

    Hi ,
We are deploying OSB projects using ant scripts, But security settings are getting disabled every time we deploy new version project.
Through console deployment we can preserve those settings , but we need to capture/preserve security settings through ant scripts

We had used the WLST based import scritps provided by Oracle. These have the options for setting the settings while importing the sbconfig jars.
There are below methods that you can invoke to set/unset the settings while import.
    > void      setPassphrase(java.lang.String passphrase) Sets the passphrase
    > void      setPreserveExistingAccessControlPolicies(boolean preserveExistingAccessControlPolicies) Sets the value of preserveExistingAccessControlPolicies flag across all import operations.
    > void      setPreserveExistingCredentials(boolean preserveExistingCredentials) Sets the value of preserveExistingCredentials flag across all import operations.
    > void      setPreserveExistingEnvValues(boolean preserveExistingEnvValues) Sets the value of preserveExistingEnvValues flag across all import operations.
    > void      setPreserveExistingOperationalValues(boolean preserveExistingOperationalValues) Sets the value of preserveExistingOperationValues flag across all import operations.
    > void      setPreserveExistingSecurityAndPolicyConfig (boolean preserveExistingSecurityAndPolicyConfig) Sets the value of preserveExistingSecurityAndPolicyConfig flag across all import operations.
Please refer to http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E13159_01/osb/docs10gr3/javadoc/com/bea/wli/sb/management/importexport/ALSBImportPlan.html for more details.
There should be similar options for the ANT bases scripts as well.
    Thanks,
    Patrick

  • How can I import CD's with differing custom settings? IWhen I want to change settings the AAC encoder window does not appear because Itunes has adopted the first custom settings as default.

I imported a CD with custom settings for stereo bit rate, sample rate and channels. When I tried to import a second CD with different settings I could not get to the AAc encoder window that gave the settings options. The custom settings I had chosen for the first CD had become the default "custom" settings.

    Hi there,
please take a look at my suggestion under message #19227279

  • When I change from "remember History" to "use custom settings" it defaults back to remember history when I close the window. How do I keep my new setting?

I need 3rd party cookies enabled for a specific site. When I try to save custom settings, it defaults back to remember history and I can't open what I need on the site

Enabling thirds-party cookies is the default and if there aren't any other changes made then Firefox will show "Remember History"
Choosing the "Use custom settings for history" setting doesn't make any changes.<br />
If Firefox shows the "Use custom settings for history" setting then that is an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings are not the default to make you aware that changes were If all History settings are default then you see "Firefox will: (Never) Remember History" and the custom settings are hidden.<br />

  • Two Factor Authentication How to Preserve Cookies?

So, I am starting to set up Two Factor Authentication for various logins that I have. As a normal practice, whenever I close any browser I delete all cookies, and when shutting down my computer I do a Norton scan for cookies and delete them. The problem is that this deletes my two factor authentication cookies which I need. I tried setting up an exception, but the cookies get deleted anyway. How do I set this up to work, ie protect specific cookies from deletion?
In Internet Explorer this is extremely easy to do. All you do is put a checkmark next to "Preserve Favorites Website Data".....Done. The equivalent in Firefox you would think is "Site Preferences", but that does not work the same as in IE and the cookies are deleted.

Let all cookies expire when Firefox is closed to make them session cookies.
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: Keep until: "I close Firefox"
Create a cookie 'allow' exception for cookies that you would like to keep.
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions
Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.
Clearing cookies will remove all specified (selected) cookies including cookies with an allow exception that you would like to keep.

    Hi
    Custom Messages WAD

  • I want to set Firefox to never remember history. When I do this using the tools tab and click okay, it goes right back to "Use Custom Settings for History". I don't want that.

I know how to manage privacy using the tools tab at the top of the address bar, or so I thought. I want to choose "Never Remember History". When I do that, and click "OK", the next time I check the privacy settings, the history is right back to "Use custom settings for history". I don't want this. Also, I don't want to use autocomplete for forms, but I can't get those settings to stay, either. I basically don't want info. stored on this computer. My system was hacked several months ago, by some joker who named all my system folders a racist slur (I reported it to Norton, and a technician had a look at it). Anyway, I want to keep things as safe as possible. Please allow me to delete all my history when I close Firefox. I don't really like Google, either, because they have a reputation for not respecting people's privacy. I don't like that I didn't have an option to uncheck google's toolbar when I installed Firefox.
    Thank you.

    That is probably OK.<br />
You may have changed one of the other history or cookie settings.
If Firefox shows the "Use custom settings for history" setting then that is an indication that at least one of the history and cookie settings are not the default to make you aware that changes were made.
