Fn+F5 wifi switch not working. X301: win 7 pro 64: Radio button highlit no action when pressed.
Can't turn wifi radio on. Hardware slider switch OK, Fn+F5 shows radio button, illuminates when focus on button, does not operate when button pressed. So no wifi available. X301 Intel 5300 AGN: driver version 13.1.1.1. /1-13-10 Device working properly : do not allow PC to turn off device: media state enabled. Windows network diagnostics - 'There might be a problem with the wifi driver' Lenovo toolbox - diagnostics :- available and capable to send and receive data. (obviously not true!) PCI express status test passed, no other tests can run because no network can be seen. Other laptops adjacent to X301 can see the wifi network signal. Tried, disable and uninstall drivers and device. Latest updates from Microsoft, Lenovo and Intel. Rolling back and restore have become corrupted and trying these fails. Has anyone any other ides to try please? Thanks

I got a MacBook Pro today. The previous owner had Apple wipe it clean for the new owner, me. When I first tried putting my wifi password in, I wasn't remembering exactly what it was, so I tried many different possibilities. Since then, I found my password in my office. I put it in, when it asked for it. But, it's not taking it. It just says searching for networks. And, this is after I identified the correct network. So, I am wondering if perhaps after a number of "tries" does it not accept ANY further attempts ? You know like Banking passwords....you get locked out. I'm wondering if I'm locked out?No, not like a bank timeout.
Open keychain in your Utilities Folder and look for old router password, or delete wrong passwords.
You can always reset your router password to something new that you can remember. -

The wifi toggle doesn't work when I try to do fn-f11.Has anyone had any luck making it work? It works when I am on an Ubuntu partition and after I installed the system76 drivers.

Im shocked considering its a System76 computer. My Lenovo T530's buttons work out of the box with the kernel.
I would contact System76 by email, then try by phone if possible. They should take care of you, and if they give you any info, post it here so we can try to help.
I notice the python script spits out that /etc/default/grub does not exist- perhaps they very poorly coded the driver to require one to have grub installed? You might try installing grub with pacman to see if that allows the python script to run without error. At the same time, they might be looking for that file to append options to grub's bootline- THIS is exactly where you need to get info from System76...
*DISCLAIMER* I know very little about python and it indeed might be a totally different problem. I however clearly see error and /etc/default/grub, and note that my Arch install has an /etc/default/grub, which suggests to me you are likely dual booting with Ubuntu and using Ubuntu's bootloader to handle booting. -

The No Service means there is a problem with cellular service. You mention wifi in your title. Which is it you are having trouble with? What happens when you switch on and off as you state in your post? Are you saying that wifi does not connect while at home either?

Sounds like the device was dropped at some point and damaged as a result.
Take it to Apple for evaluation and a replacement. -

Wifi Sync not working on iOS 6 and iTunes 10.7 with iPhone 4S
I am running Windows 7 64-bit but WiFi Sync is not working on either my iPhone 4S or my wife's iPhone 4S. Worked fine before upgrading. All settings look correct in iTunes 10.7 and on our iPhones 4S's. Already tried uninstalling iTunes and all associated Apple programs (Bonjour, Apple Mobile Device Support, Apple Application Support, etc) and reinstalling iTunes but no help. Temporarily disabling Norton Firewall did not help. If I hook up either of our two 4S phones via USB wire, they Sync and Backup fine. Just WiFi Sync not working. Can't initiate sync from iPhones because button is ghosted stating it is waiting for PC to be present. Phones don't show up under Devices in iTunes unless hard-wired via USB cable. Any suggestions?

My iPod Touch 3rd gen is screwed up the backlights screwed and the Wifi is not working its showing no wifi!

One user reported that placing the iPod in the freezer fixed the problem. A trick that works frequently with iPhones:
Settings > AirPlane Mode ON, Do Not Disturb ON
Power down and wait 5-10 minutes
Power up
Settings > AirPlane Mode OFF, Do Not Disturb OFF
If not successful, an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is usually in order.

The problem would seem to be in the firewall in your router. Have you tried disabling it? I assume you've updated the router firmware, right? Consider bypassing the ISP provided router (using it as a modem only) and unsing another device such as an Aiport Express.

Step1: Turn off your phone.
Step2: Unplug the router from supply.and turning off is different. So unplug it.
Step3: turn on router and phone back.
Try connecting now; which should work ....

First, grow up. Just because YOUR phone isn't working, doesn't mean Apple put out bad software. I've not had any difficulty, nor has anyone else I know. And just how is Apple risking lives with Bluetooth kits not working? It's YOUR decision to talk on the phone or text and drive. Not Apple's.
We're users here, volunteering our time to help others. Posts like yours, which are whiny and ranting, simply means we're likely to ignore you and not provide you with any help. Not to mention, it makes you look absolutely foolish.
Further making you look foolish is the fact that you haven't even asked a technical support question, nor have you provided anyone here with any troubleshooting steps you might have taken, including those recommended in the user guide.
