Fn:trim() not working

Hi dude,
i have used the following taglibs
<%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/struts-html.tld" prefix="html" %>
<%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" %>
<%@ taglib prefix="sql" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/sql" %>
<%@ taglib prefix="fn" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/functions" %>All others taglibs work except fn:trim of functions, i get the exception like
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: The class org.apache.taglibs.standard.functions.Functions specified in TLD for the function fn:trim cannot be found: org.apache.taglibs.standard.functions.Functionsi have placed jstl1.1, copied fn.tld and mapped in web.xml too.
What went wrong?
Thanks, SRI

I tell you what i have done
1 placed standard.jar and jstl.jar at web-inf\lib
2 placed the following code at web.xml inside <web-app> and /<web-app>

    dbms_lob.trim not working ?
    =============================
I am using Oracle 11g/Sqldeveloper. I learned that dbms_lob.trim could be used to trim the CLOB items. I have the query
    SELECT dbms_lob.trim (WHATMEMO,3990) WHATMEMO_V
    FROM TEXT_TAB A;
    ORA-00904: "DBMS_LOB"."TRIM": invalid identifier
    00904. 00000 - "%s: invalid identifier"

What we could do to recognize DBMS_LOB.TRIM function in SQL?
    What is happening here?
    Thanks in helping.

What we could do to recognize DBMS_LOB.TRIM function in SQL?Just use substr. (at least for CLOB's but not for BLOB's):
    SELECT substr (WHATMEMO,1,3990) WHATMEMO_V FROM TEXT_TAB A;Edited by: MichaelS on May 13, 2011 4:09 PM

  • TRIM not working despite AHCI mode and fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify returning 0

    Hi,
I recently changed my mobo, from a Gigabyte to an ASRock X79 Extreme9.
After doing so, being sure the new one is set up to be in AHCI mode, and updating the drivers of an existing Win 7 x64 installation using the provided DVD by ASRock, I used trimcheck-0.7.exe to check if trim was working, and it's not. Trim was working with
    the Gigabyte mobo.
I made sure also that HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Msahci and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\IastorV start value was 0, to no avail.
The Device Manager shows that my 2 SSDs use an SCSI driver, which might be the source of the problem. I tried to update the driver automatically there, but Windows kept the ones existing, saying it could not find better.
Then, I tried to remove the Intel RST component, and reboot, but it did not help.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
Regarding to the TRIM capability and AHCI mode, I would like to share the following link with you, please see the reply posted by koitsu,

This is hardware configuration question, not a Windows question, you will be well answered by your manufacture of the motherboard and ssd.

  • Trim not working

I have a simple illustration with a transparent border. I need to trim the transparency away down to the image on all sides. When I select "trim transparent pixels" and select "top, bottom, left, right" NOTHING HAPPENS.
Can someone shed some light on what I'm doing wrong?
    Thanks

Are you sure there are no stray pixels out there. Two stray pixels could cause a borders like you show. Below I created a document with a transparent border. I dupe it and in the duped document  I added two stray pixel at 1% opacity. You can not see them but their there. I then used menu Image>trim on both documents see the results.

  • After update Mac OS 10.9.1 Trim Enabler does not work anymore!

After updating from Mac OS 10.9.0 to 10.9.1 the program Trim Enabler does not work anymore and my 4 SSDs from Samsung and Kingston are no longer supported.
    What can I do?
    Should I scrap my SSDs?
Why does Apple do such things?
Will Apple that I switch to Windows? There Trim works with all SSDs and BluRay will not boycott!

Apple does not support TRIM for SSDs that were not factory
installed and TRIM Enabler is a hack to get around this.  Any
hack is always subject to being disabled, or worse, with any
system update whether it is OSX or Windows.

  • Setting Column to Trim of Itself - Not Working

    Hello,
I'm trying to update a column in a table using the following code:
    UPDATE pweb.pweb_tos
SET tos_code = TRIM(tos_code);For some reason it is not working. When I select the column using the TRIM function it does trim the white space, but the update is not working.
By the way - I did do a dump(tos_code) of the column and verified that it is in fact white space at the end.
    Any help would be appreciated.....
    Thanks!

ChristineTRIM (tos_code) (with only 1 arguement) will only remove space characters, that is, ASCII code 32. If the string begins or ends with some
other kind of whitespace (e.g. linefeed), then that end will not be trimmed. You may have to specify multiple characters to TRIM.
Post the output you get from DUMP.

  • Decode Not working in sql loader

I had a requirement of loading flatfile into staging table using SQL Loader, One of the columns in the the Flat file is having values FALSE or TRUE and my requirement is that I load 0 for FALSE and 1 for TRUE which can be achieved by simple DECODE function...I did use decode and tried to load several times but did not work. What might be the problem
    LOAD DATA
    INFILE 'sql_4ODS.txt'
    BADFILE 'SQL_4ODS.badtxt'
    APPEND
    INTO TABLE members
    FIELDS TERMINATED BY "|"
    ( Person_ID,
    FNAME,
    LNAME,
    Contact,
    status "decode(:status, 'TRUE', '1','FALSE','0')"
I did try putting a trim as well as SUBSTR but did not work....the cloumn just doent get any values in the output (just null or say free space)
    Any help would be great.....

    Hello user8937215.
Please provide a create table statement and a sample of data file contents. I would expect DECODE or CASE to work based on the information provided.
    Cheers,

  • Dynamic rooting (User Record) setting is not working in Nakisa OrgChart SP3

    Dear All
The Dynamic rooting setting is not working in the Nakisa OrgChart SP3.
It is giving an error message - "Cannot find the root of your orgchart. The orgchart box may have been deleted or incorrectly specified, or no valid org structure can be found for the selected effective date. Please change the root of the chart or select another effective date."
We followed the same steps as given in the Admin guide of SP3 (P.no. 109 - shown below)
    In Orgchart --> General Settings:
    * Select the Org chart root value source.
User Record: Retrieves the record specified in the next step from the employee data element.
*Do one of the following to define the org chart root:
If User Record was selected in the previous step, select the field containing the ID of the required organizational object in the employee data element from the User record field drop-down list. For example, if you wish to root the org chart at the org unit of the logged-in user, select the field containing the org unit ID. Hence, we have selected the Org unit ID.
    Note:
We had enabled single sign-on with logon tickets
Retained the standard settings in Security Settings --> Employee Source
Had provided full authorization to the roles
If we use the "OrgChart Root" option available in 'Orgchart root value source', the org structure gets displayed correctly from the root object defined.
As this is an standard functionality, Kindly guide us in resolving the issue.
    Regards
    Ravindra

    Ravindra.
You don't have to and shouldn't always include the username and password parameters for the SAP Connection string.  When you omit them it will use the user's login credentials.
    Remember though that:
The SAPRoleMappingConnection will need them included in order to get the details for the user in the first place.
Without the username and password specified in a connection string you can't click the option to test the connection and result in a successful connection.  Remember unable to connect does not necessarily equate to wrongly configured.
I've filtered the log file for errors and the following entries were flagged up:

At the very least it looks like SAPPositionVacancyDataElement is missing and whilst the other errors around it are unfamiliar I wonder if it might be a good first step to see if you can track down the reference to and existence of this data element?  That being said it looks like your last test occurred well over an hour after this (so you may have already resolved it) and resulted in nothing but information messages.  If that is the case it might be worth "rolling" your log file or manually trimming it to the right time frame when posting it?  Otherwise it can be misleading as people could flag up issues you have already resolved.
So assuming you haven't tried Luke's suggestion (which should only take a couple of minutes to do) I think you should go back and do so right away .
    Regards,
    Stephen.

  • Voice Memo does not work on 3g

The voice memo does not work. If I scream in to the mic it finally shows movement on the readout. But, when you play it back all you get is static noise where I screamed. Other wise, any normal voice speck is totally silent.
Actually it works with the iPhone head phones but not the mic in the phone it's self.
    Message was edited by: Hoddypeek

Yes, the low level while recording doesn't result in a low or weak "memo". Sounds fine and mails to my email as well . . . But !
I had a phone-message waiting two months, a little song-fragment I called home to leave with the hope that Voice-Memo would eventually save it for me. And it sounded better once mailed that it even did playing out of my cheap little land-line speaker ( I guess mic-placement is everything ! )
But the recording was 2 min 50 seconds and trying to mail it to myself brought up the warning that it was "too big" !! Luckily, the first 27 seconds was unrelated and expendable . . . and being able to trim it did the trick.
*So what's the size limit on a mailable Memo Apple people ?*
( It was 4.1 mb as attached to the mail )
Also, how odd is it that it was still "Sending" within the iPhone, yet already sitting in my iMac's email well before the "airplane whoosh" of sent mail sounded.
    Hmm . . . . .

    iTunes RADIO is not working.
“iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. Make sure your internet connection is active and try again.” Try as I may, as many as ten attempts, trying to connect after restart, after shutdown, nothing works. Just so …
iTunes STORE not “connectable” with my otherwise perfectly-working internet connection, viable, up and running for all other uses.
Simply put, firstly, I can't connect to the internet when I click on Radio.  People are quite suspicious that this is Apple incompetence or your company's famous arrogance for this commonly-suffered problem that you won't or “can’t” fix.
Read the many web comments and you won’t be pleased with yourselves: the suspicion is that if you ruin internet radio on iTunes, Apple will somehow make more money on music downloads, etc. Bull.
Also, thirdly, my old playlist of 20 or so internet radio stations in the Ambient category STILL PLAYS !
Then fourth, I installed the latest available version of QuickTime Player 7.app Version 7.6.6 but it didn’t solve the problem either. I had QuickTime Player.app Version 10.2, but substituted what Apple website said was the latest, LOWER NUMBERED QuickTime Player version of 7.6.6
Fifth, I can't connect to iTunes store no matter what I do or what user group's advice I try. So I can’t buy or download anything from iTunes. Bad for business.
Sixth, I updated to the latest version of iTunes but this weird problem remains. All suggested Apple fixes or user group fixes are useless. Where is Apple’s famous technical competency, vaunted customer support?, and user-friendly product reputation? Get it back, please.
Solve this problem of yours ASAP for us, your numerous disgruntled, dissatisfied customers of iTunes. You can do better, should, and really –in all fairness- must.
    ===============================================================
NOTE:  no password for iTunes exists in my Keychain. Is this a problem?
Apple ACCOUNT ID, and iTunes ID password, works but not to access iTunes with my healthy internet connection.
Apple store id It works via direct internet connetion but not through iTunes.  Very strange.

  • FCP 7.0.3 ripple edit in timeline not working

FCP 7.0.3, AVCHD/proRes 422 LT, ripple edit in timeline not working. Using the ripple tool, I click on the edit point, drag the cursor to the clip and direction I want to trim but it doesn't work. pop-up says collision on V-1. Same thing when I double-click the clip to player and try to move the edit point on the scrub bar. This was functional in prior sessions. What's happening? Thx in advance.

I'm only using one (V1) track. Prior to this problem I was unable to insert edit. That problem mysteriously vanished after an unsuccessful phone support session w/ Apple failed to solve. Also when I try to insert w/transition (default cross-dissolve) the transition is applied to the opposite edit point,ie: out point of insert clip has transition instead of in point where it was applied. When I try to add transition to edit point (CMD-T) it doesn't work.
I'm slowly working around the ripple edit malfunction by using the razor tool and ripple delete (shift-delete) to trim in the timeline.

  • Alert to group not working on Sharepoint 2010!

    Hello,
We have a SharePoint 2010 Server which on the front page we have a news list. We have migrated to 365 and since then the alerts are not working properly. We have a local SMTP server that we use to rely to 365 since SharePoint does not support TLS by itself.
The SMTP server is working because we can set up alerts on individuals and the emails are coming. The issue is with the group. I have tried several groups but still the same issue. On some groups we receive the initial email about the creation of the alert,
but no mails after that. I have checked also the Immediate Alert service and is successful. I have checked in the  mail flow on 365 and I can see the initial creation of the alert mail sent to all in the group, but the alerts on changing anything on the
list does not come into 365, so it must be a SharePoint issue which I can`t determine since the immediate alert service is running...
Can you please provide a feasible solution for this issue?
    Thank you very much.
    DOVC
Best Regards, Valentin Doru System Administrator

    Hi Valentin,
please also open a thread at o365 community, because seems this issue happened at o365.
to try, perhaps you can re-add the group also, because it may refresh the properties from the AD group to o365.
and you may check these workaround for testing:
Option 1: Use a Redirection User
created a user in Office 365. This user is licensed to use SharePoint Online and Exchange Online.
In Exchange Online, create Distribution Groups, which are standard Distribution Group that allows however in Delivery Management also Senders outside of organization, as the SharePoint Sender is not part of the Exchange Org.
In Exchange Online for the User Exchange Forwarder, created Inbox Rules. The rule is checking the Subject for a keyword and as action redirect the E-Mail to the DG and deletes it right away.
repeat this for other DGs as well.
In SharePoint Online grant the user Exchange Forwarder access to the Site to access the List
Now there are two important steps:
    1)      The Alert Title needs to include the token we look for in the Exchange rule
    2)      The “Send Alerts To” needs to be our “Exchange Forwarder”
When everything is set up an Alert will be received by Exchange Forwarder and then forwarded to the DG.
Option 2: Use a custom Workflow with the Send E-Mail To Activity
In Exchange Online creat a Distribution Groups, which are standard Distribution Group that allows however in Delivery Management also Senders outside of my organization, as the SharePoint Sender is not part of the Exchange Org.
Using SharePoint Designer create a custom Workflow like the one below. In the Send E-Mail activity I specified the external SMTP Address of the DG as To-Address.
When the Workflow is executed an E-Mail is sent directly to the DG:
    Background:
When sending an Alert, SharePoint is doing a Security Trimming. So SharePoint wants to be sure the recipient of the Alert has permissions to see the List Content the Alert is about. Therefore we cannot enter an SMTP-Address for an Alert but need to specify
a Security Principal known to SharePoint.
In a Workflow we don’t need to do this kind of Security Trimming. The creator / designer of the Workflow need to take care whom to send what information.
Side note: Alerts and Workflow Send E-Mail To Activities are the only possibilities in SharePoint Online to send E-Mails. Custom solutions (Sandboxed Solutions) will not work.
