FND_STANDARD.SET_WHO is not working in custom form

Hi,
I have a custom form and in that to update the WHO columns I used "FND_STANDARD.SET_WHO;" in block level in "PRE_INSERT" and "PRE_UPDATE" triggers. But it is not working. Any ideas on this? can this be because of a missing library? I can see appcore and appcore2.

After upgrading from 11.5.10.2 and Oracle 9.2.0.5 to ATG6, AD6, oracle 10.2.0.4, Forms 6.0 (Form Compiler) Version 6.0.8.28.0 . The execute query (F11 & CTRL F11) is not working on custom forms. But after tabbing from one column to another column then press CTRL F11 is working.

F4 help not working in custom backend service for PD form

Dear All,
Iam working with the Create position HCM PD form and i have a requirement to add two fields, one for the company code and the other is for the cost center and then create the relationship betwee the position and the cost center when the form is submitted.
I have defined a generic service and created an enhancement implementation and linked this generic service to the imppementaion. I have written the logic for the F4 help for the fields in the method GET_HELP_VALUES, i have written the scripting for the drop down field in the form to trigger the F4 help in the form.
When the cost center is being passed to the screen, i would then read the value of the cost center in the form workflow and create the relationship between S and K in the workflow as i am unable to achiev this in the design time of the PD form.
But my current problem in that he values are not getting passed from the method to the field on the screen. I have worked on quite a few scenarios for F4 help and doing validations in the implementation in the PA form and i have seen this functionality working fine.
My problem here is that i am unable to understand why the F4 value help is not working in my form. The standard PD service SAP_PD is also being used in the form to have the dropdown values for the account assignment feature.
Could you please suggest me with some clues to fix my issue? i can share more details for further analysis.

First....are you sure you have "marked" that field as possible for F4 help?
Reply: Yes
Second...are you populating the help values strictly from that method...ie. not also using do_operations method to do it. If you refer to the documenation, it points out that trying to use both can cause issues.
Reply: i am using only the GET_HELP_VALUES method and nothing written in do_operations.
Third...when you debug your method, do you "see" the help values actually populating and as you say "not coming back to the screen"? I would check this first to make sure that there are actually values being found (ie. the logic within your service is correct).
Reply: i have put the external break-point in this method and when the form in opened for processing by the HR admininstrator,the form openes up and the control is not being sent to the debugger. I have written the scripting in the exit event of the events and scripts as suggested in the SAP help document. SO when i click on the dropdown field in the form, the debugger starts and executes the method and the code executes, then no values are populated on the screen.
Fourth...are you using any generic services for populating help values as well. HCM P&F has a nasty habit of "if one GS fails, they all fail" so often, your service might work fine but an error in another makes yours appear to fail as well....hard to debug and find those kind.
Reply: Yes i am using the generic service mainly for the purpose of F4 help. I do not see any issue with other gneric services as i have implemented a few generic services for PA forms and they are working fine.
Fifth...oops...forgot the obvious one...make sure it isn't a security issue...ie. make sure you have access to read the cost centers you want.
Reply: I dont get any auth error in SU53 while i test the process in R3

You actually should be able to do this using an Advanced/Enhanced Generic Service (if this is in fact the step at which you want a true update to occur). Just a thought.

...Then you will only ever update records that have been checked. Unchecked checkboxes are not passed back in the global array. You need to have a hidden column with the ID's for the record and loop through that when you are updating/inserting. That is why the built in tabular form has a MRU and a MRD. the MRU loops through the hidden ID column. The MRD loops through the checkbox.

1.Key function such as down arrow,up-arrow is not working in oracle11g forms though key-down etc trigger have been written.
2.Tree node function,i mean when i try to call form from a child node ,it required 4-5 click.

Since the checkboxes all have the same name, the values are over-writing each other when being passed to the PHP script. The best way to fix that is to add a pair of empty square [] brackets after the checkbox names, so make the names "graphics[]" instead of "graphics". That tells PHP that the values are being passed as a list (an array) instead of a single value. As long as your processing script knows what to do from there (and it does), should solve the problem.
By the way, I noticed that two of the checkboxes were named "graphics" and the other was "graphic" (singular). You'll want to fix that too so they're all the same.

F11 (query mode) not working in payment form in AP

F11 function not working in Payment form in R12.
I made a payment and quit the form. Whem am trying to query the payment invoice to void it. F11 functionality is not working.

Thanks for your response.
This issue is due to personalization done in payment form to default the payment date. First we defaulted the payment date once we open the form and faced issue in Quering a payment.
Now we did a change in personalization to default after selecting the Trading Partner and rectified the issue.

i installled Hyperion 11.1.2.2 and ODI 11.1.1 . while doing reverse engineering is not working for custom purpose.
Iam working with Hyperion Financial management with odi. created dataserver and physical schema and logical schema
and imported RKM HYperion Financial Management Knowledge module.
is it required for hyperion latest patches to connect with odi. Please let me know . urgent?

Java script is not working in custom tabular form

i have changed my built in tabular form to custom tabular form.my java script is coding working fine in built in tabular form . But in my custom tabular form java script is not working ,since it is created as standard report(Display As).

Allow Custom Text Entry for Drop down not working For Dynamic form

Dear All,
In drop down field Allow custom text entry is working fine if the form is save as a static pdf form file.But if the form is save as a Dynamic pdf form file it is not working.I can enter custom text in drop down field but after filling it up when I click on next field the text from the drop down is disappearing.
If any body can please help me to solve this problem.

Thanks a lot for your quick response.But it's not working for me.I have even tried with a form having only single field and save it as a dynamic pdf file.In that form also it's not working.The text which I have entered is disappearing when I click outside of this field.

Calendar Lov not showing in custom forms on EBS 12.1.1

Hi,
Previously i worked on Oracle Forms 6i but at present i am working on Forms 10g (Forms [32 Bit] Version 10.1.2.0.2 (Production)) with no patch.
I build the custom forms and compile that in custom top on EBS 12.1.1 but the calendar lov is not showing.
Build Step.
Used TEMPLATE.fmb for scratch.
Field name -Order date, Item Type- TextItem, SubclassInformation- TEXT_ITEM_DATE, DataType-Datetime, FormatMask -DD-MON-YYYY HH24:MI:SS,
List Of Values- ENABLE_LIST_LAMP, Validate Form List- No
Add 'KEY-LISTVAL' trigger in ORDER_DATE field and write 'calendar.show;' Trigger text but it's not working.
If Above steps apply on forms-6i then calendar lov populated on EBS 11.5.10.2.
I know this is very old topic and found lots of post for this topic but none of them help me.
Could any one help me if anything i missed for Forms-10g with EBS12.1.1 ?

AS per my understanding the below is the required steps.

2. Subclass Information - TEXT_ITEM_DATE
3. Data Type - Datetime or Date
4. List of Values - Enable_List_Lamp
5.Add key-LISTVAL trigger and written calendar.show;

Attachments not enabling for custom form

Hi,
I created a simple custom form based on a custom table having only 2 fields. The form works fine.
I tried adding attachment functionality by setting up -
- Document Entities
- Document Categories and
- Attachment Functions as given in many tutorials online.
I am still unable to see the attachment icon enabled.
I also registered the custom table using ad_dd.register_table and ad_dd.register_column and still the attachment icon is not enabled.
Even the profile option 'Indicate Attachments' is set to Yes at site level. Still does not work.
Is there any code that needs to be written on the standard attachments trigger in the fmb?
Please suggest what else I can do to enable the attachments icon/clip?

Discoverer Viewer/Plus does not work with Custom EUL owned by APPS user

I am facing a unique issue with one of my customers. They have a custom EUL named XX_EUL_US and this does not allow connecting through discoverer viewer or discoverer plus.
I have worked with custom EULS before at other customers and this was never the case. I am being told that this issue is happening as the EUL owner is APPS instead of some other user. Is this the case? Can discoverer viewer not be used with EULs owned by apps user?
Please not that the Default EUL in ICX profiles is set to this EUL and no other EUL profiles are set.

I am not sure what you mean when you say you have a "custom EUL named XX_EUL_US". The EUL table should be created in a schema named XX_EUL_US. This will then be the EUL owner. You will then need to connect to Discoverer Administrator as the EUL owner and grant privileges to Apps users and/or responsibilities.
The user should then be able to connect to Discoverer Plus/View using their apps username, responsibility and password.
To be able to connect directly from an apps menu you need to have the ICX parameters set correctly. The ICX: Discoverer Default End User Layer Schema Prefix should be set to XX_EUL (without the _US). The ICX: Discoverer End User Layer Language Override should be set to US or not set at all.

Forms 5 is a client/server application, so it looks for files on your local c: drive.
Forms 9i is a web application, so in principle it will now look on the server's c: drive.
However, get_file_name is not a standard Forms procedure. My guess it that it is one of your own procedures and it uses the d2kwutil library. This library won't work in a web environment.
If you want to do something with files on your local PC in a web envirionment, you will have to use webutil.

Insert Statement is not working in Oracle Form

I have developed a custome form from the scarch.
I have one button on that for called "PROCESS"
when I cick on the PROCESS button it should insert record in to one custome table.
I have created custom table in custom schema and given grant to Apps user. as well as I created synonym in Apps for that table.

when I am running the form from front end and cliking the process button it is throughing the bellow error.
ora-01031 insufficient privileges.
As I have given all the grant for Apps user.
When I am running the same insert satement in toad for the Apps it is working fine no error.
Its Urjent please required a help on this.

Have you tried to give the grant to APPLSYS user as well and see if this helps?
