FNDLOAD Question -- How to FNDLOAD a set of custom ROLES, not entire UMX?

Calling all FNDLOADers,
Question:
Are there any other options in FNDLOAD that will allow us to pull only those roles that are custom, either based off of UMX_ROLE name, UMX security CODE or any other attribute?
Background:
We have created ~40 custom roles in our 11.5.10.2 EBIZ environment, and would like to migrate these roles with FNDLOAD between environments. We are executing the following:
FNDLOAD <username/pwd@sid> 0 Y DOWNLOAD $FND_TOP/patch/115/import/afrole.lct umx_roles.ldt WF_ROLE ORIG_SYSTEM=UMX%
This will get us ALL UMX roles in the entire EBIZ system!
Now, granted, we can go into the umx_roles.ldt file and edit the file, but the possibility for human error comes in..."FAT FINGERS" syndrome!

Hello Gabe,
Did a lot with FNDLOAD, iSetup and ACMP in the previous month. I am assuming that you are using naming conventions for your roles, right?
In this case, the role code shall always start with XX, to specify that this role is a custom role.
Then, in FNDLOAD you use the parameter ROLE_NAME:
FNDLOAD <username/pwd@sid> 0 Y DOWNLOAD $FND_TOP/patch/115/import/afrole.lct umx_roles.ldt WF_ROLE ROLE_NAME=UMX|XX%
I just tested this and it works perfectly, exactly the 15 roles I created are extracted.
Any follow up question is welcome!

Question: How do I (easily) set up a family group to email photos to

Preview of what I have: Tonight, I added all my contacts to "Address Book" which includes my fellow workers, my friends, and my family members [names and email addresses were added to Address Book]
What I want to do: I want to set up a group of contacts called "Family" where while I'm in Mail I can only email digital photos of my children to my family members only.
I'm assuming this has to be done with "new smart group" while in Address Book. If it can be done while in Mail that would be great (but I'd be surprised).
My primary question: Since I have all the contacts added in Address Book, which includes my family members names, how can I easily create a family group (that I'll select when I'm in Mail)? I don't want to retype in any contacts (family names/emails) if I can save time and typing. Can I somehow set up a new smart group in Address Book and drag and drop (making duplicate copies) of my family members into that Family group? [that Mail will also recognize if I type in "Family" in the "To:" field when creating only one new email.

Smart groups are dependent on some criteria being met from the cards.. You could, for example, set the Smart Group criteria to Name:Contains and then type your last name to have all your family members with the same last name automatically added to the group. Or set the criteria for birthday to either show people with upcoming birthdays or people for whom you haven't yet entered a birthday.
For more general purposes and what you want to do, a normal Group is probably better since your family members may not have the same name, address, etc that automatically identifies them as family. You then just have to manually decide who is family, who is friend, who is colleague and then drag them into the appropriate Group.
Also once you create the Group or Smart Group:
In Address Book:Ctrl-clicking (right-clicking) the group name will give you the option to compose an email to all group members.
Alternatively, if you are already in Mail: after you start the New message, click the Address button. In that address window, with the group name selected, click the To: or CC: button to address the message to all group members.

How to view one playlist by albums? (Not entire music library)

Albums are importatnt to me. I listen to the Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album for instance. I have no desire to have those songs shuffled etc. However, I also like the Genius Mixes. They take songs from my list of singles and intelligently order them like a radio dj would.
Let's say I put my 5 favorite albums in a playlist called "Favorite Albums:. I sync this to my Ipod touch. I can now turn my ipod horizontally and see my albums and easily pick the one I want.
Now let's unsync that playlist and sync one of my Genius Mix
Now I can play the Genius Mix and here songs by Singers/Songwriters (for instance) that are intelligently chosen and ordered. I've tried this on Itunes on my desktop and I like how it works.
Here's the problem:
Let's try to sync my "Favortie Albums" playlist AND my Genius Mix
I now go to my Ipod Touch and find my "Favorite Albums" playlist. It shows a list of songs. ( don't see an option for album view anywhere). Now I turn my Ipod trouch horizontally expecting to see the albums in that playlist. Instead I see dozens and dozens of albums. My albums are in there somewhere but my Ipod touch is showing me every song on my Ipod in album view. The other albums are there because the Genius mix needs thosee songs.
At first I thought my Ipod touch was mixing all of my playlists and Genius Mix togethor. No matter what playlist I opened I saw dozens and dozens of albums from other plalyslists.
It took me hours on the phone with Itunes to figure out that there was not real problem witht playlists. The problem is that I was assuming if you are looking at a playlist and turn the ipod horizontally you would see that playlists.
Ok, so that is the way it operates and I didn't know it. But. I can't find any way to view a playlist by albums on my ipod touch.
Yes, I can look at artists, songs, albums, playlists. But looking at albums doesn;t help. It shows ALL of the albums and in list view.
The agent was very friendly but had no idea what a Genius Mix was. I had to carefully explain to him that a Genius mix is not a Genius Playlist etc etc.
In the end his suggestion was that I don't use Genius Mixes and only sync the albums I want. My answer to that is that someone at itunes came up with this Genius Mix thing and the tout how wonderful it is. It's pretty bad to then say "Why don't you just use shuffle?"
Can anyone help me figure out a way to have Genius Mixes on my Ipod Touch and be able to look through my plalist by albums?

You can burn that playlist as data CD/DVD (backup). Go to the preferences menu and make sure that data CD/DVD is selected. If the playlist is too large you could split it by moving a part of the files to a second playlist.

Question: How to populate the Language Key description is not available in the Customer text table
The problem is ;
Customer no : 0012345
For this Customer no description is maintained only in EN, JA ,FR from R3 side.
EN : HP International Ltd
JP:HP の国際的な株式会社
FR: Ltd International de HP
There is no value for Language ES.
BW side:
User is login into language Key ES and executing the report based on this Customer no. There is no Customer text value maintained in language Key ES. It should populate the text value empty. BW system - Language ES is installed.
I have a Reporting requirement is - I need to populate the text value for this customer No: HP International Ltd when the user login to language Key ES and execute his reports.
/BI0/TCUSTOMER Customer text table I am able to see the description for the EN, JP, FR text values.
EN: HP International Ltd
JP: HP の国際的な株式会社
FR: Ltd International de HP
If the Customer text is not available in the text table of customer for language key ES - I have to populate the any one of the existing customer text values into the language key ES - example
0012345 ES HP International Ltd
Simplest solution if we maintained ES customer description in R/3 should be ok.
Is their any other logic which I can implement in BW.

If you are opting to load Customer Text, there are two options:
1. R/3 maintained.
2. Generic Extraction using Flat Files.

How to get servername from a request but not the cluster name?

hi all,
how do i get server name from the request? This is the scenario, When ever a request is made, its handed to a cluster and then directed to one of the server in the cluster.
When i say request.getServerName();---- This is giving me the cluster name and not the server name.
any suggestions/idea ? Thanks alot in advance.

I have added property called Layout Set for my iview and assign layout Set , but no effect. How to assign layout set for custom developed iview???

I will address your second question.
First, make sure your iPhone and iPad have absolutely identical Apple IDs. If they do, use that Apple ID in Settings > iCloud on your iPhone to select the "Notes" option. Lo and behold, all your iCloud notes should appear on your iPhone.

HOW THE ************** Do I set up nokia messaging on the 5800? Please if somone can help me I shall burn an effigy in your honour.
First A person in the UK CANNOT set up a Nokia mail account. You go to email.nokia.com, you select your device and enter your phone number. Supposedly you receive a text message with a link to somthing or other, IT NEVER ARRIVES. The site then instructs you to navigate your phone to email.nokia.com. You go there and download nokia messaging (again) and re-install it (again).
You then proceed to to run the set up email program (the pink @ sign that now appears in applications) and go through the process of typing in an email account details. At the end it should ask if you want to add it to a nokia messaging account or not. IT NEVER DOES THIS. It only ever adds the email to the **bleep** inbuilt polling email thing in messaging.
So, the user cannot make a nokia messaging account online OR on the handset which raises question 1.

Being no stranger to nokia messaging and after attempting the above several times I decided to use my E72. I removed all my email addresses (so my nokia email account was no longer associated with that device) and set it up for my wife (who owns the 5800). This allowed me to create a nokia messaging account for her (finally).
Now she could log into email.nokia.com and add her email addresses. Now when I entered her email address into the 5800 it asked if it wanted to add the email to her nokia messaging account (FINALLY) and I was able to put her email onto her 5800 through nokia messaging. Phew, it only took 3 hours.
Next step, remove her nokia messaging account from my E72 in order that I may have my account back on my e72. When this was done the wife receives an email telling her that her subscription had been cancelled from her 5800, I assume becasue it detected me using it from my E72 when removing the accounts.
So, I try to re-setup nokia messaging on her device again on, it should be a lot easier as she now has a nokia messaging account right? When I enter her nokia messaging email address it will automatically associate the nokia messaging account with the 5800 again, right?
WRONG
now when I try to set up the email the option of adding the account to the nokia messaging service is never shown instead it adds it as the crumby polling email thing built into the device. This leads me to my 2nd question.
2. HOW THE HELL DO I MAKE THIS USELESS PIECE OF **bleep** WORK?
I am no noob, I have had nokia devices for the past decade and used symbian all the way since s60v1. However this has bowled me over with retarded idiocy.
Do I have to make a pentagram of dku-2 cables with a symbain device at each point facing norway smeared with the blood of a virgin blackberry user?
Please someone, tell me what the **bleep** must do to simply get this **bleep** email to work. I am fuming with rage right now and at the end of my tether.

At the very least you would need to contact Nokia to re-instate your wife's account and I hope you are on Orange as otherwise you won't get very far in the UK as here:
