Folder deletion in Project

Hi Experts,
I have a scenario wherein,a General project is created followed by sub folders containing .hbdprocedures,.hdbtables,schemas etc.
I had created a similar folder inside the project which was blank but later deleted it .After that activated the complete project to reflect the changes.
However the folder which was deleted doesn't go away and shows a RED marker may be something like marked for deletion.
The project has been shared to a package and also attached to a change.
Wanted to know your suggestions and answers on whether its a problem going forward when the change is transported or any means to get rid of the folders from the Project structure with affecting the change management route.
Thanks in Advance,
Manisha.

Hi Krishna,
I tried your suggestion of activating the folder from the repository and then deleting it from the Project Explorer.
But it reappeared again after I refreshed the project.
Not sure how the folder will completely get deleted.
Thanks
Manisha.

    Hi Guys-
This is presently not possible in ODI 10g. Only 11g will have such an API. However, the release date for 11g is not yet confirmed.

  • Cannot open project: the folder for this project cannot be found cs4

I am using Encore CS4  and I get the error "cannot open project: the folder for this project cannot be found"
Having searched the forums I can not find a solution for when the project folder has been deleted.
Can someone tell me the solution to this issue.

If you deleted the Encore directory, you cannot fix this.  You'll have to start over.
    Encore creates this folder structure:
    Root or some other Folder
    MyProject.ncor (the Encore project FILE)
    MyProject (the Encore project directory)
Other Folders for the Encore project (e.g. Cache, Sources)
You can get the "the folder for this project cannot be found"  in various ways.
There have been two recent threads in which the user, by accident or on purpose, changed the folder location or name.  You can fix this by renaming the folder correctly or moving it back (or moving the Encore project file to the correct relative position).
Folder was renamed.  If you name the folder "MyProjectX" Instead of "MyProject," the project file "MyProject.ncor" can't find it.
Encore project file was moved - or Encore directories were moved.  If you move "MyProject.ncor" to some other directory or drive (including inside the folder "MyProject"), it can't find the directory - it is looking one directory level below where the project file is located.
If you delete the Encore project directories, the stuff that Encore uses that projects menus, motion, etc, are gone.  While many of its instructions are inside the project file itself, many are not.  Some of the deleted material might be recreated (e.g. trying to fake Encore into accepting a copy of a menu), but most cannot.

  • Why does logic randomly delete my project files?

Logic will periodically delete the project files from the project folder and i can't get it to stop. It often costs me hours of work. For example, i'll close logic (and save) and come back the next day to find the "xxxx.logic" file missing. No alias, no error message, just gone as if simply deleted. My backups are still there, but those are usually hours behind where i was. Any help????

Never heard of that one before.
Can you figure out at what stage the file get deleted. When you save your project and quit Logic, is it still in the FInder? If so then your problem is not Logic.
Until you find the cause, when you save the final Project, just do one optical change (extend a Region by one bar) and save the project, then quit Logic. If your project file gets deleted again then you can pull out the last saved backup file from the folder. It is identacal except that minor edit you did.

  • How do I delete a project in premiere elements

how do I delete a project in premiere elements

    Welcome to the forum.
This will depend on how you set up the Project, when you began.
I create a unique folder/sub-folder, for each Project, and everything is in that hierarchy, the Scratch Disks, Copies of all Assets, etc.. When done, I just Delete the Project's folder, and all sub-folders go with it.
One consideration is if there is a chance that you will ever need to revisit that Project, you might use the Project Archiver first, to get a copy of the entire Project onto, say an external HDD - just in case.
How did you set up the Project's folders/sub-folders?
This ARTICLE will give you one workflow.
    Good luck,

Quit Logic (or just close the project), find its' folder and drag it to the trash, empty the trash.

  • Is it possible to automatically create new folder for each project?

Hi! Here´s another (maybe stupid) question:
I wonder if it's possible for Premiere to also automatically create a new folder on the harddrive when a new project is created. This to get all material, preview files etc for each project in a separate folder.
It´s easy to forget to manually do this and I tend to end up with many projects and files in the same folder. Makes it hard when I want to "clean house" and delete some stuff and backup other.
Thank's for any help with this!

Everyone develops their own method of project organization,
but this has worked for me through several versions of Premiere.
I keep a 'Project Template' folder that contains all of the sub-directories
that I will normally need for each job... Media, Approvals, Documents, Audio,
Rendered Image Sequences, Still Images, Finals etc.
This 'Project Template' folder also contains a template Premiere project that is
pre-set with the interface settings, column layout and project folders I will always use...
Audio (vo, music, sfx), Graphics (sequences, stills, titles, slates),
Cuts (approval versions, finals, and broadcast distribution finals).
When I start a new project I simply duplicate the entire 'Project Template' folder along
with all of its contents, then rename the folder and Premiere project to suit the current job.

  • How to delete all projects and accompanied files from Adobe Premeiere Elements 13

I would like to delete all projects and files and start anew, but I cannot find a clear enough instruction how to do it. Please help'

    vitprod
    Same other versions as well.
There is no one delete button that wipes away the project file (.prel) and the project's assets. You need to go to the save locations of the project file (.prel) and its assets and delete
each one by one wherever they are saved UNLESS you pre-plan and, before the project is created, set up a particular project so that the project file with assets goes to its own folder instead of each component of the project going into a common place for Premiere Elements files and folder where you have to pick out the materials for deletion one by one by name.
    Answers
    Default type situation
If left at defaults and if your Premiere Elements 13 is running on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit, go to Libraries/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Elements/13.0 and, in the 13.0 Folder, delete standalone files with your target project's name and delete files with your target project's name in the folders found in the 13.0 Folder.
    Plan Ahead
Edit Menu/Preference/Scratch Disks - Set all to Same As Project.
Create a new folder at a hard drive location of choice. Then point the project file to that folder for the Save In.
Tip: When the Expert workspace of the new project opens, go to File Menu/Save As. Name the project and set the new folder created as the Save In of the Save Project dialog.
Please review and consider and then let us know if any of that worked for you.
    Thanks.

  • Help - deleted a project!

I was happily deleting single photos when whoops there goes the whole project (not sure how that happened). In the Trash there is a folder called Aperture and within that the project folder. Now before I do something silly it's time to ask what the quickest and safest way to get that project back into Aperture. Not touching a single key yet.....

My guess is that you are importing a project without the projects images. When exporting a project, you are given the option to also export the project images. Obviously, in this case, you didn't export a project but instead deleted the project. So, my suggestion would be to pull everything back out of the trash onto the desktop, and simply re-import the images contained within the folders you got from the trash, without trying to re-import the project.
Just a guess, though, as I have been using Aperture 2 for a whopping three days or so.

  • Deleting IM projects

In the last couple of weeks I have captured, edited and burned about a dozen short movies with IM 6.0.3. I am very new to Mac and have found some interesting differences from the Windows based programs I am used to. I need to start doing some deleting but wanted to ask these questions first:
    1) It seems that IM (and IDVD) puts all aspects of a movie project into a "package". A search of my drive will not find these clips. I do find the clips inside the project "package". There are a few clips in each of the IM projects that I would like to save to use later and combine them into a new project for a highlite type DVD. Am I correct in assuming that I can take the clips out of the "Package", delete the project, and save them to a separate folder and access them later to drop into a new project?
    2) Are there any "temp files" or any other files that will be left behind when I delete my Imovie or IDVD projects that I need to go looking for to remove?
    3) Do I have to "defrag" my drive after deleting these projects? (should be asking in other forum?)
    Thanks

not recommended wokflow, but an optional way..
iMHD6 is meat to work with camocorders.. and has a .. 'fragile' file strcuture' and file management.. I would import again from tape into a new project ..
    2) Are there any "temp files" or any other files that will be left behind ...
no, Mac OS cares for leftovers..
    3) Do I have to "defrag" my drive after deleting these projects?
no, MacOs cares for frags and drive structure..

  • Help! Deleted Imovie Projects from both Drives!!

I have to go to the beginning so everything will make sense. Please read the whole thing before making any suggestions. Thank you.
I recently got a MyBook, and reinstalled Leopard onto it. Later it asks me if I want to transfer all my data from my other harddrive.
(Well, I wanted another external harddrive to have more space for my projects, but I didn't want to have to go through reinstalling everything. So I decided when it finishes, I'll delete somethings that it copied, so both hard drives won't look as identical.)
The Drive was 2 TB, and I still had 1.78 TB left after I copied everything from the other hard drive. It would take me took long to explain why I did that, considering that sooo much space was left.
So anyway, I come across my Imovie Folder. Instead of CHECKING to see which hard drive was in, I assumed that it was on my new hard drive it wasn't. Then in a miraculous Idiot Savant moment, I did the same thing in the new drive without realizing it....until I did it of course. And wondered, how in the world did I delete the same folder-No-iindividual Projects, Twice!? So now I'm confused, then anxious, then angry, and then confused again. These were Imovie 08 projects. Some of them might've been trivial things, like music videos I created of show and clips from my life, but their still things I created.
Now mind you, I've never set up time machine, and now I really wish I did.
So I go scouring through the internet trying to find Some restore programs, you name it I tried it, Data Rescue 3, Stellerphoenix, and Data drill. Non of them worked.
On the weird bright side, I created DvD's of some of the videos. And I still have the video files. Just not the projects, or the Dv events that Imovie saved.
But I still wish I could retrieve them.
If you guy's have any information for me...Anything, I would greatly appreciated it. I need all the help I can get.
    Thank you.

If you didn't have the on backup, then they're gone unless you enlist the services of a professional data recover service.  Lesson learned, unfortunately.

Hard drive full or near full:
You are going to have to delete, move or archive your data to regain hard drive space.
Have you emptied your iMac's Trash icon in the Dock?
If you use iPhoto, iPhoto has its own trash that needs to be emptied, also.
If you use Apple Mail app, Apple Mail also has its own trash area that needs to be emptied, too!
Other things you can do to gain space.
Delete any old or no longer needed emails and/or archive older emails you want to save.
Look through your Documents folder and delete any type of old useless type files like "Read Me" type files.
Again, archive or delete any old documents you no longer use or immediately need.
Uninstall apps that you no longer use. If the app has a dedicated uninstaller, use it to completely uninstall the app. If the app has no uninstaller, then just drag it to the OS X Trash icon  and empty the Trash.
Download an app called OnyX for your version of OS X.
When you install and launch it, let it do its thing initially, then go to the cleaning and maintenance tabs and run all of the processes in the tabs. Let OnyX clean out all web browser cache files, web browser histories, system cache files, delete old error log files.
Typically, iTunes and iPhoto libraries are the biggest users of HD space.
If you have any other large folders of personal data or projects, these should be moved, also, to the external hard drive and then either archived to disc and/or deleted off your internal hard drive.
You may have to Purchase an external FireWire or Thunderbolt hard drive to move these files/data off of your internal drive to the external hard drive and deleted off of the internal hard drive.
    Good Luck!

  • IMovie/ Final Cut Pro Deleting Clips/Projects

Ok, I'm an Apple newbie for about three weeks. I don't understand if I delete footage or photos I import to iMovie or FCE HD within the software, if they are permanently deleted.
In Windows, I'd have to search the Hard Drive and look for "My Videos" and delete clips there. I imported and played with some clips this morning in iMovie and FCE HD and did a File/Clear for each photo and clip. Is that it? Are they gone for good once I do that?
How about deleting completed projects once I export them? Thank you in advance for your assistance in familiarizing me with Apple and Mac!
    iMac   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Your DV files in iMovie are stored in a Media folder within the My Great Project file. You can tell this by the size of the file being in the gigs.
FinalCut is a different animal. You have a preassigned location in your preferences where your Capture and Render folders are located. When you capture footage from your camera, the Capture folder is where you will find the original file. When you render an effect or transition, it will go in your Render folder. Trash the content of these folders when you complete a project (or backup accordingly).

  • Deleting recent projects

hello, all can someone please tell me how to delete recent projects in garage band?

You have to drag from the Finder. Grargeband by default saves in your Music folder: Users/yourusername/Music/Garageband. From that folder, drag them to the trash.
