Can anyone suggest any good FREE app for Nokia Lumia 800 which will help me to keep some of my folders locked with password or encryption to keep it confidetial l ???

I cannot find applications for my Nokia Lumia 800 with Windows 7 operative system.
Marketplace and Nokia Apps Highlights no longer support applications for my Phone?

I have no idea what you are saying, I can get apps on my L800 without any problem and new apps become available almost daily.
Also currently available apps get updated frequently for me so it is unclear to me what it is you are trying to say.

Network Setup 2.4.0.0 is available in the Microsoft Marketplace for Lumia 610, Lumia 800, Lumia 710, and Lumia 900 in all countries except USA, Canada, Columbia, India and Iceland.

This is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Canada still can't get it? Why does the US have access but not Canada. Can we expect it or is there another 3 month delay? Unbelievable that on day one I paid over $500 to buy this phone unlocked in Canada and still cannot use the most basic features like MMS. This is pathetic. What you see in the Store is what you get unfortunately. there may be apps in the future, but that would depend on developers actually making the app or not.

Ok, I am confused as I am reading here that Nokia do not provide these codes and they come direct from the manufacturer.
Please see my thread on Boards.ie: http://www.boards.ie/ttfthread/2057018326/2 where a verified Vodafone rep says that they need to contact the manufactuer i.e. Nokia to supply the code. I am wating 2 weeks for the fcuking code and am **bleep** off waiting at this rate.
Can you please do us all a favour who are waiting on the NAC and contact Vodafone Ireland and supply them with the necessary information to allow them to supply the NACs.

As this is a user to user forum you will get no response to this request. It is often handy for network operators to blame "Nokia" to cover their own intransigence in dealing with the issue however. If it is a newly released model which yours isn't, there can sometimes be a delay in codes being uploaded to servers.

Reminder in agenda for Nokia Lumia 800

When adding a meeting in my agenda my 'reminder' is default set on 15 minutes.
Can I change this or even switch it off default?

I'm not sure if it's the same for WP 7.x but in WP 8 you can tap on "More details" when adding an agenda item and alter the reminder time from there.

Nokia Lumia 800 - Micro Stuttering / Lag in OS and...

Hi everyone,
I just thought i'd bring an issue up that i've been experiencing recently.
I have a Nokia Lumia 800 (locked to Telstra - Australia)
I'm experiencing very minor, completely random slow downs or lag sometimes when just flicking through the phone OS and also at times when watching video (either recorded on the phones own camera or Youtube etc).
The most repeatable way for me to demonstrate the problem is watching a video i have recorded using the phones inbuilt camera, when playing the video back (on the phone) the video randomly lags, usually for about the first 60 seconds and then plays smoothly. It is definately not a reception or buffering issue, as in most streaming cases, the phone is well buffered.
I have also experienced slowdowns when typing an SMS, where the key presses are very slow to show up on the screen and also when launching even OS built in apps like the People Hub or Contacts.
I'm running the latest firmware 12070 (in Australia) and have tried hard resetting my phone, disabling all background agents etc with no luck.
I previously had a 1st gen HTC Mozart which experienced no slowdowns and played back all manner of video with no lag whatsoever.

I too have this sms lag on my lumia 800. i had this issue on both formwares : 12070 and 12072. I really fed up the no of bugs in this phone.
please guys post the following bug as well. following bug is present in 5 of my frnd's lumia 800 as well. XDA please make sure this new issue reaches NOKIA. So that they can do something about.
Even i have got this latest 12072 update but still dr is one more bug guess u have not noticed it. Can u please check and clarify with the following bug description.
1." Connect you nokia handsfree or any headphones to your lumia 800 and make a call and notice that u cannot adjust the volume. Volume remains high (max) always even if you reduce the volume to zero."
2."Connect your hands free or any head set to your lumia 800 play music and reduce the volume to 15 or less now make a call again you cannot adjust the volume of the call. now cut the call and now your music starts playing in max volume which you will not be able to reduce. Until you remove your hands free or headset and reinsert it.

Nah, buddy. It's not possible on the phone.
Most of the applications I found in the Marketplace allow sending of encrypted messages in which recipient needs to decrypt, but you can check the Marketplace yourself. I may miss one that suits what you need: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/search?q=message+password
However, you can create a password on the phone by going to Settings and then Lock+Wallpaper. This locks the phone and you need to input the password before you can access your phone.

RAM on nokia lumia 800, 512 or 363 mb???

Hi, I've bought a new Nokia lumia 800. The amount of RAM for this device is 512 Mb. but all the free app that displays the main information of the device that I've used indicates that total ram is 363 Mb and not 512. The device itself don't have the option to see the ram, in the "about" information you can see only the free storage that is 12 Gb. The free app indicates that I've total ram 363 and free ram 341 Mb, how can I be sure of the real amount of RAM. Is there a free or not free app better than mine that discover the real ram.

I was almost certain that it wouldn't be possible that my phone has 363 mb inspite of 512. But it's always better to doubt because the phone was in sale, I paid 199 €. But the fact that the free apps also don't reveal the real amount of free storage space that is 16 gb, it may be a signal.
