Folder of actively running web service

Hi,
How can I get the folder path of the actively running web service in labview. It seems that it is stored as a sub-folder in C:\ProgramData\National Instruments\WebServices\aws.

Hi user508086,
Which api's, jars are you porting with the webservice proxy?
I would like to know which dependencies are present when creating a web service client in Jdeveloper.
In my java project, which only holds the web service client code, uses 4 different project libraries which contain a lot of api's, which aren't needed for only a web service client.
Did you manage to drill down the web service libraries to only those that are being used, or did you ported all jars included in the project libraries (oracle xml parser v2, J2EE, JAX-RPC Client, Commons Logging 1.0.3).
Kind Regards,
Nathalie

  • Error During Activation of Web services

When I try to create a web services using RFC and try to complete the steps in the wizard. I am getting error message as "Error during Activation of web services". and also when configure service in wizard, im getting only two profiles as "Basic Authorization: SOAP PROFILE" and "Secure SOAP PROFILE". Kindly do the needful.

    Olivier, thank you so much
SOAMANAGER does not exist in my system (sp level 8), so node "/sap/bc/soap/rfc" should be active. Actually, it is active.
I think the problem is related to user rights/profiles.
I have tried to create another WS after assigning role SAP_BC_WEBSERVICE_ADMIN. The same error when trying to activate it, but now, I can see this WS in SE80 (under "Enterprise Services->Service Definition"). It is not active there and if I try to activate it, a success message appears indicating that user "is not authorized to use function netzwerkadministration". I cannot see any new services in SICF...
Probably the new entry in SICF will be created after activating WS in SE80...
Do u know what user profile should I add in order to properly activate the WS in SE80?
    Thank you very much!

  • Active Directory Web Services Event 1202

    Hi all,
I am stuck with the event 1202 (source ADWS) error on my ADLDS server hosting sharepoint extranet user repository. My sharepoint server is a domain member but
NOT a domain controller. I do not replicate this ADLDS instance with any other server. This ADLDS instance is not synched with AD's at all.
I already read posts existing on the subject and no one solved my problem as they're all related to ADLDS instances hosted on domain controllers
As a reminder the event 1202 (raised minutely) description is:
This computer is now hosting the specified directory instance, but Active Directory Web Services could not service it. Active Directory Web Services will retry this operation periodically.
    Directory instance: NTDS
    Directory instance LDAP port: 389
    Directory instance SSL port: 636
My ADLDS instance is not named NTDS (and cannot as NTDS is the instance name of an ADDS domain) and ADWS correctly service it as the following 1200 event proove it:
Active Directory Web Services is now servicing the specified directory instance.
    Directory instance: ADAM_ExtranetUsers
    Directory instance LDAP port: 18589
    Directory instance SSL port: 18836
So... my investigations result after enabling ADWS diagnostics are:
Following is the trace corresponding to the 1202 event generation
InstanceMap: [14.11.2012 08:57:19] [4] OnTimedEvent: got an event
    InstanceMap: [14.11.2012 08:57:19] [4] CheckAndLoadAll: beginning
    InstanceMap: [14.11.2012 08:57:19] [4] CheckAndLoadNTDSInstance: entered
InstanceMap: [14.11.2012 08:57:19] [4] CheckAndLoadNTDSInstance: found NTDS Parameters key
InstanceMap: [14.11.2012 08:57:19] [4] CheckAndLoadNTDSInstance: trying to change state to DC
InstanceMap: [14.11.2012 08:57:19] [4] AddRemoveSessionPoolAndDictionaryEntry: trying to change state for identifier ldap:389
InstanceMap: [14.11.2012 08:57:19] [4] AddSessionPool: adding a session pool for NTDS
    DirectoryDataAccessImplementation: [14.11.2012 08:57:19] [4] InitializeInstance: entering, instance=NTDS, init=5, max=20
    LdapSessionPoolImplementation: [14.11.2012 08:57:19] [4] InitializeInstance: entering, instance=NTDS, init=5, max=20
InstanceMap: [14.11.2012 08:57:20] [4] AddSessionPool: DirectoryException trying to create pool: System.DirectoryServices.Protocols.LdapException: The LDAP server is unavailable.
For me the BUGGY part of this ADWS error state within the CheckAndLoadNTDSInstance process. It effectively try to service NTDS instance because it found the NTDS registry key supposed to contain the AD DS instance configuration parameters. The content
of the key is the following on my system (and any system I think):
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\NTDS]
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\NTDS\parameters]
    "ldapserverintegrity"=dword:00000002
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\NTDS\RID Values]
This is the normal content on any domain members. But this cause the ADWS service to think there is an NTDS domain service instance to serve which is not the case !!!!!
I resolved the error for a temporary period by removing the registry key above. Because I also think this key has nothing to do on client systems (as stated on technet). I also verified after removing the key that my ADLDS instance is still forcing SSL connections
for simple bind (which is what the ldapserverintegrity registry value is supposed to do. Note this registry settings is also present is the ldap and my ADAM_ExtranetUsers service registry.) Everything worked like a charm for a day and my event log stopped
    reporting the 1202 event.
But during the first night, a process recreated the NTDS service registry key I deleted. So the event 1202 start reappearing every minute. Excepting filling my event log for nothing this error has no effect on the working ADLDS instance. So I can live with
    but it's rather annoying!
So finally my question is: Is it really a bug or did i make a mistake? If this is by design how can I prevent ADWS to try to serve an instance that does not exists on the system?
Can I set the undocumented ADWS configuration value "InstanceRediscoveryInterval" defaulted to "00:01:00" to something that say "NEVER".
At least to lower events count I will set it to something next to 1 hour or 1 day!
Does someone have a better solution?
Many thanks to any of you taking time to read my poor english ;-)

    Hi Brian,
Thanks to take time trying to resolve my issue.
    - IPv6 is not enabled on my servers (this is one of the first thing I disable on my servers)
    - If you read my post carefully you will see that removing the NTDS registry key resolve the problem for about 1 day. This because a process recreate the key automatically during the night (I think it is the KCC process that recreate the key but I'm not
    sure)
And if I think it is a bug this is because you can see this wonderful sequence within the traces:
    InstanceMap: [20.11.2012 05:57:13] [4] CheckAndLoadNTDSInstance: entered
InstanceMap: [20.11.2012 05:57:13] [4] CheckAndLoadNTDSInstance: found NTDS Parameters key
InstanceMap: [20.11.2012 05:57:13] [4] CheckAndLoadNTDSInstance: trying to change state to DC
.... here traces that shows the exception when the system try to connect (bind) to the NTDS ldap instance generating the event 1202 error ....
    InstanceMap: [20.11.2012 05:57:14] [4] CheckAndLoadGCInstance: entered
    InstanceMap: [20.11.2012 05:57:14] [4] CheckAndLoadGCInstance: machine isn't a DC, so it isn't a GC
Well ironically the system first think this is a DC just because it found NTDS registry key (this key exists but is empty and does not contain NTDS AD instance parameters excepting ldapserverintegrity). And the next step in the process
(just after CheckAndLoadNTDSInstance step there is the CheckAndLoadGCInstance step) it realizes it is not a DC so it cannot be a GC (global catalog). So can you tell me why the system is trying to service the NTDS instance that does not exist !!!!! And
it knows that... one step later....
Well I think everything is clear and I am suprised that with a such bug I am the only one complaining about that... at least with such level of accuracy (even if I saw posts without clear responses or people complaining that the problem is not
    solved)
So for me there is no workaround or solution to resolve this. I repeat disabling the feature is not an option as we are using ADWS to administer our users through AD module for powershell. And I'm always laughing to see poeple proposing to disable a feature
to resolve a bug within it. It remind me the old days where Microsoft enclosed parts of code with try catch blocs to resolve bugs (in fact they just used exception swallowing to make us believe they resolved the bug.....).
So I'm waiting a fix from Microsoft for this unbelievable mistake and a real lack of testing because I can't believe nobody realizes that !!!
Thank you again for your help

  • Insert multi-users for activity with web services

Can anyone send me some sample code to add more than users to activity with web services, and any field are the required fields. I am using web services 2.0

  • Run Web Service Action

Can someone point me to any documentation for the Run Web Service action? I'm looking for simple field level syntax. I'm able to begin a session but can't seem to use it for anything. The XML-RPC provider requires login and key (password) and need to know how to format that in the parameters field.

This is not for the action itself, but the underlying AppleScript support is documented here.

  • Error running web services examples

    Hi Guys,
After spending the whole day finally i get the soap server working. I have to manually deploy soap.ear into OC4j instance. But again i am trying to run web services stateless java say hello class example... but no luck. I am getting connection refuse error... Did any one tried these examples.... I am using Jdeveloper9i on win 2000 professional machine.
I am getting connection refused error ...if i try to run example....
    Any help will be appreciated..
    thnks

    See:
Check for uniqueness of data in a column
In your response, could you elaborate on "connection refused" ... is this the application server that you are testing? If you are setting up the SOAP Server connection, this is not required by those tutorials as shown by the Quickstart setup that they point to.
It would also help to know the versions of JDev and OC4J you are using (e.g. are you using JDev 9.0.3 and OC4J 9.02; have you got a full install of Oracle9iAS 9.02 etc). Without more details it can be hard to help.
I wrote most of the tutorials at a point in time so they tend to be pretty specific about version numbers. If you are using different versions they should work but I might be able to point out any problems you might run into.

  • More than one parameter in "Run Web Service" automator action?

    Hi,
any one know how to send to parameters to a web service with the "Run Web Service" automator action?
    i tryed
    {paramA:"foo",paramB:"bar"}
but didn't work, the service seem to get only the first one
    Thanks a lot
updated: actually that works, but not {USER:"foo",PASSWORD:"baR"}. it takes the user but not the password. Any idea?
    PowerBook G4   Mac OS X
    (10.4.6)

    Can you share some specs on the service in question? To send a struct you need to make sure your labels match on the server side. Enclosing them in |pipes| will avoid terminology conflicts. You may also need to specify each struct in its own curly brackets, e.g. {{|USER|:"foo",|PASS|:"bar"}}

  • How to create iView to run Web Service

    Hi,
I need create iView on EP7 NW2004S SP12 portal to run Web Service provided on SRM 6.0 system.
Here is how I have attempted to create the iView:
    1. Right click and select New =>iView.
    2. Select "iView Template" radio button.
    3. Select "Web Service iView" radio button to specify Web Service Template.
    4. Enter name and ID of iView.
    5. Select System Alias of System defined earlier.
At this point, the portal attempts to connect to the ECC system, and it fails with this error, and I cannot finish the create of the iView.
Could not connect to back-end application. Check your system. The server may be down or there may be an error in a system parameter.
Here are the key parameters defined for the System referenced by the system alias:
    WSDL_URL:http://sap2.mycompany.com:50000/SRM-MDM/SRM_MDM
    Logon Method:UIDPW
    User Mapping Type:admin, user
    CodeLink:com.sap.portal.systems.webservices.webservice_system
I've also created a usermapping for the Everyone group, and provided the userid and password for the system alias successfully.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

Thank you for that information.  I had not previously seen a procedure on how to setup an iView to run a web service.
I had created the System just as described in this blog, but I still have a problem.  When creating the iView (on the last step of process when I click Finish), the portal attempts to connect to the SRM system, and it fails with the error highlighted below.
Could not connect to back-end application. Check your system. The server may be down or there may be an error in a system parameter.
I get an error in System Administration as well when I test the connectivity for the System object.
    Test Details:
The test consists of the following steps:
    1. Retrieve the default alias of the system
    2. Check the connection to the backend application using the connector defined in this system object
    Results:
    Retrieval of default alias successful
Connection failed. Make sure that Single Sign-On is configured correctly
How does the security need to be setup to make this work?  Or what could be causing this error?  I do have SSO configured between the portal and the target system.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

  • Message Wait Activity Or Notification Wait Activity for Web Service Wait

    Hi,
I have a Message Wait Activity Or Notification Wait Activity which waits for a message from my Web-Service. But this Activity keeps on waitinf for the message even if the web-service is down. How do I make it invoke a System Exception if the web-service is down or the web-service cannot be connected?

    Hi,
I suspect you've put a lot of thought into this and decided to take this approach, but could you describe why you're thinking your web service might be down frequently enough to do this?
Here's one approach to having the Message Wait activity discover when something outside its control occurs. Put the Message Wait activity inside of one of two transitions going through a Split/Join. For the other transition going through the Split/Join, add a Timer activity (if you are using Oracle BPM 10g). Set the Timer activity to some period that you want to use to periodically hit the web service to ensure it is up (e.g. '5m' to test to see if the web service is up every 5 minutes). Don't have this occur every few seconds or your Engine's performance will be degraded.
From the Timer activity there would be one transition. This transition leaving the Timer activity would be an unconditional transition going to an Automatic activity. This Automatic activity would have an unconditional transition going back to the Timer activity, and a conditional transition going to the Join activity. The logic in the conditional transition leaving the Automatic activity could be just a single boolean instance variable (e.g. "wsDown"). When the Automatic activity discovers that the web service is down, this copy of the work item instance will flow to the Join activity.
The logic in the Automatic activity will invoke a dummy web service running on the same machine you're worried about. If an exception is thrown and caught inside the Automatic activity indicating the web service is down, you'd set a boolean flag "wsDown = true".
The Join activity would have the logic:
    this = copy
action = RELEASE If the "wsDown" instance variable is set to true when it leaves the Join activity, then the web service was down and the Message Wait activity was never notified from the outside web service.
    Hope this helps,
    Dan

  • Invoking long running web service from BPEL

I have a web service. It takes more than 5 minutes (could be up to a few hours) to run. Now I need to invoke it from the BPEL workflow. I tried it, but doesn't work. It seems that there is timeout problem. Does anyone know how to integrate the long-running process into workflow?
    Thanks a lot.

Yes, I am using a sync process. Currently, I divide the process into two parts: launchProcess() and getResult(). Then in BPEL workflow, I use a loop to check getResult(). It works, but I am wondering if there is any better solution.
I think my situation is very common in the community. Fortunately, I can split the process into two parts. But for some long-running process, it can be difficult to split. How can we implement the process as an async process and integrate it into BPEL workflow? My process is written in Java. I am not familiar to the async process. Any suggestions?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,
While activating a datasource based on web services i get the below error:
"Internal error while deleting web service"
           "Error when activating datasource"
As per one of the posts, we need to activate the services listed under "bc" ( path : virtualhost->sap->bc ) in tcode: SCIF.
There are many services listed under the "bc" node that are inactive. Please let me know which are the services that needs to be activated under this node.
Alternatively pls also suggest if there is any other way to solve this issue.

  • Problem running web service on Turnkey 8.0.1 LiveCycle server

    Greetings:

I have been able to get the web service to fire.
The process is dying trying to send e-mail using the SendEmailService.
It generates an exception of type "Exception" - flows thru an "Execute Script" that dumps text to the log file, then blow off with this:

  • Unsupported Version error when trying to run Web Services Tutorial example

    Hi there,
I'm trying to run the first example from the Java Web Services Tutorial and get the following error when I type 'asant build' in my Command Window.

    assLoader2.java:76)
When I do a java -version I see my version is Java 1.5, and I'm not sure why the build is still trying to use Java 1.4. I do not want to delete the 1.4 from my machine as it is used for something else.
    C:\jwstutorial20\examples\jaxws\helloservice>java -version
    java version "1.5.0_09"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_09-b03)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_09-b03, mixed mode, sharing)
Could you please help me with this problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    Azeem.

    Hi Azeem.
Check out values specified for JAVA_HOME, PATH and CLASSPATH under environment variable. Was facing the same problem. Changed the values to point to jdk1.5 and it is working now.
    BTW.
You don't have to uninstall jdk1.4.
    Cheers!!!
