Folder Structure Archiving: exporting folder structure + content

Hi,
I would like to copy a part of an existing folder structure (with included contents) from a production UCM 11g instance (I'm using Folder_g) to a development instance (using a tar of the newly created archive).
I'm trying to use Folder Structure Archiving component.
I'm using the guide:
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E21764_01/doc.1111/e10792/c06_migration.htm#CHDFHEEI
Now, I successfully executed step 6. of "8.10.3.1 Creating a Folder Structure Archive".
However if I list on filesystem the newly created archive, what can I only see is the archive.hda file (...without references to selected folders) and no contents.
Contents was exported?...if yes, where I can found them?...if no, how can I export them?
What I expected to have is a "regular" archive as produced by the Archiver tool...
I'm missing something?
Any helps will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Best regards.
Simone.

Hi Simone,
I was also facing the same issue. You can try one thing, create an archive folder in your source ucm server through archiver. In the Export Data tab specify the custom query as -> xCollectionId = <Your Folder Collection Id>.You can get the collection id of your folder by seeing the preview without specifying any query and then select the extra column 'Folder' to see in the table. In this way you can export the content for the selected folder.
After that, go to the Folder Structure Archive tool and select the archive you just now have created and then slect the folder structure you want to archive.
This is not the correct way but you can try.
Thanks,
Sachin

  • Preserving Folder Structure when Exporting?--A question

    A very simple need that I have: I have a Folder in IPhoto on my laptop, left over from a recent trip. The Folder is organized into ten "Albums, which are trip segments. All I want to do is to Export [or Copy] this Folder on an external hard drive, for security purposes and to Import the Folder [and Albums] into IPhoto on my primary desktop computer.
    I can export all the contents of the Folder, but I have struggled to find a way to do this that preserves the organization of the Albums inside the Folder. What I end up with is all 652 photos [in this example] in one huge sequential order.
    Please advise what I can do to export and maintain the Folder structure. Thanks!!

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You can connect the two computers so that the iPhoto Library on each can be accessed by the paid version of iPhoto Library Manager (residing on one of the two Macs) and then copy the albums or events, including keywords, descriptions and titles from the laptop library to the desktop Mac.
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. • Maintain smart folder structure when exporting

    When exporting a project with albums the result is a folder structure that matches (the project is at the root with multiple dirs underneath that correspond to the albums). However when I do this with smart albums within a project the result is just a single directory with all images crammed in that one directory. Is there a way around this? I wa

  • Preserving Folder Structure When Exporting

    Hello,
    I recently bought a fancy new hard drive and I would love to export my photos onto there. I have lovingly organised my photos within Aperture using its folders, projects etc, however, the same can not be said for the masters on the harddrive which are organised appalingly.
    Is it possible to export all the photos while conserving the Aperture file structure, which could be viewed in Finder?
    On a sideline, would it be possible to then use the hard drive to use as a aperture library, retaining edits and versions within Aperture?
    Thanks for any help,

  • Use Automator to move files and folder structure to another folder, retaining destination contents

    I have been struggling trying to setup Automator to move files and folder structure to another folder, retaining the destination contents.  Basically, I need to add files at the destination, within the same folder structure that exists at the source.  Here's some details about the scenario:
    -I have PDF files that I create on a seperate computer than I my daily use machine
    -For security reasons, the source computer doesn't have access to any shares on the destination computer
    -The destination computer has access to shares on the source computer
    -I want to delete the original PDFs at the source after they are moved or copied
    I haven't been able to get Automator to move or copy the folder contents (files and subfolders) without dropping everything copied at the top level of the destination, resulting in many duplicate folders and a broken folder structure.
    So far I've only had luck getting this to work at the command line, but I'd really like to have this setup in Automator so that I could have either a service or application that I could use for any folder, prompting for the source and destination folders.  I'm a relatively new Mac user with limited Linux experience, so this is the command that I've cobbled together and currently accomplishes what I'm looking for:
    ditto /Volumes/SMB_Temp/SOURCE ~/Desktop/Documents/DESTINATION
    cd /Volumes/SMB_Temp/SOURCE
    find . -type f -name "*.pdf" -exec rm -f {} \;
    Thanks for any ideas!

    If you have a command-line syntax that works, why not just create an Automator workflow with a single 'Utilities -> Run Shell Script' action, where that action has your (working) shell commands?
    Seems way, way simpler to me than trying to reinvent the wheel and transcribe shell commands into individual Automator actions

  • How to avoid "images" folder in programatic exporting of.rpt files to HTML

    In C#, When crystal reports is programatically exported to HTML format, the result is a folder bundled with .htm files and a folder called "images" which holds the .png files associated with these .htm.
    My requirement is to have both the .htm files and the graphic files(i.e. '.png' files) in the same folder and do not want a new folder "images" to be created.
    This creation of "images" folder does not happen when we manually export cryatal reports to html format.
    Kindly suggest, How can we avoid the creation of this "images" folder when programatically exported to html format ?
    Following is the approach used to export to HTML format.
    ReportDocument mreportDocumentObject_
    mreportDocumentObject = new ReportDocument();_
    ExportOptions exportOptions = new ExportOptions();
    exportOptions.ExportDestinationType = ExportDestinationType.DiskFile;
    exportOptions.ExportFormatType = ExportFormatType.HTML40;
    HTMLFormatOptions htmlFormatOptions = new HTMLFormatOptions();
    htmlFormatOptions.HTMLBaseFolderName = folderName;
    htmlFormatOptions.HTMLFileName = fileName;
    htmlFormatOptions.HTMLEnableSeparatedPages = bHTMLEnableSeparatedPages;
    htmlFormatOptions.HTMLHasPageNavigator = bHTMLHasPageNavigator;
    exportOptions.FormatOptions = htmlFormatOptions;
    mreportDocumentObject.Export(exportOptions);_

    HI David,
    I have a requirement to e-mail the exported html report. When i e-mail the attachments (i.e .htm file and .png file with in the images folder) , The reciever has to save the .htm file into a folder(say X) and with in the same folder 'X'  he has to create a 'images' folder and save the .png file into it. Only then .htm file will load the appropriate ".png".(I believe It is internally designed in .htm to load the .png files from 'images' folder). SO it becomes additional work for the user to save these attachments in folder structure as explained above.
    There is another scenario to store the reports into database which requires .htm and .png to be in the same folder.
    These are above scenarios where images folder is causing the problem.
    I have exported the reports to other formats (i.e. xls, pdf, rtf, txt) and those work fine. Supporting .html format as part of the above requirement is where i am stuck.
    I wanted to confirm whether creation of 'images' folder in CR .NET SDK IS BY DESIGN ?
    If that is confirmed and if there is NO work around to get the .htm file and .png file into same folder, then we can re - think on our requirement.
    Kindly confirm the above or Kindly suggest any work around if available .
    Thank You.

  • Sapinst generated an empty directory structure when exporting DB

    I try to use SAPINST (i.e. db-independent) exporting a DB.
    However, even it is done without any error, only an empty folder structure is generated:
    folder     ABAP  ( which is empty)
    file:         LABELIDX.ASC
    I remember about 2 years ago, I had to copy the migration monitor related *.SAR files into the sapinst directory and then
    start export_monitor.sh to kick off the background exporting job which generated the export dump.  However I cannot find
    that document I made then.
    Could you help recall?
    Thanks!

    There are 2 sapinst at SMP for 701.
    I have tried the newer one sapinst 701_2.
    Please advise.
    Thanks!
    P.S. This morning I tried 701_1 from scratch. But no dump file generated.

  • Exporting Class structure

    Is there a way to export your class structure to something like Excel?  Currently, I expanded all the classes with my Data Explorer in Webi, copy all, and pasted them in Excel.  I get all objects this way but they loose their folder structure.  Is there a better way to do this?
    Thanks,
    Jimmy

    Shreya,
    Thanks for the quick reply.  Print to pdf is great if I only needed a read version but I am looking for an easy way to export the structure so I can modify it in Excel.  Sure I can copy from the pdf and paste it in Excel but I'll loose the structure.  Is there a way to export the class structure to Excel without loosing the structure?
    Thanks,

  • Over / Down Icons not in exported folder

    Over / Down Icons not in exported folder.
    I've created some action buttons, and when a user hovers over it turns blue, and when they click it turns red. The png files I used for this I put into a folder called "IMG" (configuratorname.assets/IMG/blue-50-26.png). This folder is located in the .assets directory that configurator created when I saved the .gpc file. When I export the panel, the custom png files (red & blue) aren't exported into the content folder. How do I get it to export the custom icon png files ? Also, do I have to use a custom path in the the Over Icon and Down Icon fields. Here is what is in there now "Locales/IMG/blue-50-26.png", I think somewhere I read that I need to use a ".." at the beginning so it's a relative reference, not absolute ? My goal is for this panel to work on various machines, and all the needed componets are locally resident and pointed to within the content folder.
    Thanks ahead of time for your help.
    One last question, should the png file that I'm using as a custom color for the buttons when clicked be the exact dimension of the button, or will it scale the png file ?

    In your case, the png files will not be export to content folder, these files will be exported to content/Configurator-Panel.assets/IMG/.
    You can not use ".." to set the path of icon pictures. The root directory for icon picture is configuratorname.assets/. The value for icon picture path are relative to this root directory. After exporting, the pictures will be exported to content/configuratorname.assets/.
    The png file be scale to fill the dimension of the button. We strongly suggest that you set the png file and the button in same size. If the size of png file is lager, it should be in same ratio with the size of the button.

  • Used Exported Folder to rebuild a site? HELP!

    I need to recover a site. I made modifications to my site, saved it and uploaded it, but realize I forgot a quiz file with embedded movie clips for which I only have the contents of an exported folder which worked ok, and would somehow like to re-import it back into iWeb.
    The original file that created the html for the quiz is missing.
    The contents of the test folder folder are an index.html, multimedia folder, two Flash files, and the txt for the quiz.
    I brought iWeb back using Time Machine, but apparently the data files that iWeb uses do not come with it. iWeb opens my latest saved changes.
    It would be no problem rebuilding the site if only I had the files from Quiz Press, but all is left are the html results.
    Any ideas. To recreate this quiz with the embedded movie clips will require many many hours.
    Or should I just go to another web building app and try to bring in the particular html?

    Some security coding was remove as unsafe.
    Please provide a link to a public page.

  • Export Dictionary structure definitions to WSDL or XSD

    Hi all,
    I need to export some structure definitions from CRM 2007 to a XI instance. I have been told by the XI responsible that the ideal mechanism is that I provide him some WSDL or XSD files so he can import them.
    The point is: how do I export my ABAP Dictionary definitions to a WSDL?.
    I have tryed to do it already in an indirect way creating an ABAP Proxy, but I always get plenty of errors there and I am sure that has to be a faster and more elegant way to do it.
    Thanks in advance, lot of points for the one who solve it ;-).
    Best Regards,

    Hi Gonzalo,
    I dont think even if you convert into xsd it will go. The best would be to use XMLAnonymizerBean in your sender communication channel. Please see stefans blog for this:
