Folders colors and icons

Aesthetics aside, the new light blue folder icons are much more difficult to read/see. My eyesight for my age is somewhat typical, but what about all of the people out there with much more limited vision? Apple should take this into consideration when making such major changes to their GUI. The colored folder icons in the Tiger GUI were much better.
What is the procedure for getting change/update requests to Apple for consideration?

Of course, it seems to be very busy right now. Page wouldn't finish loading in a reasonable amount of time, so it looks like LOTS of people are sending in their complaints.
I've been busily creating a raft of custom icons and pasting them where needed. It looks like Leopard's GUI was designed by young artists more concerned with aesthetics than what is useful, especially what is useful for aging eyes!

FF 33.1.1 blocks background colors and icons in Gmail and Yahoo mail.

Some web pages won't show pictures, incl. Mapquest. Problem is only on my wife's computer, Dell Inspiron 580. Windows 7 OS. This computer, Dell Inspiron 15R laptop, also Win 7, is not affected.

Make sure that you haven't enabled a High Contrast theme in the Windows/Mac Accessibility settings.

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own colors.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
Note that these settings affect background images.

This has been an ongoing fault through the versions of Firefox. A work around I discovered is to check- 'allow pages to choose own colors' then use no squint to color and then icons and buttons remain visible. This method is not an acceptable procedure and leaves the fields white. And also, a very annoying white flash when transitioning to another page.
If you are one of the elite group of artists that strive for zero eye strain and love the beauty of a black background with light colored text and are mystified as to how to cure the problem here it is. Be sure to contact bugzilla.mozilla.org and report this bug.

If you disable website colors and want to show your own colors then background images are hidden as well.<br />

That setting is meant as an accessibility feature and as you've noticed, NoSquint works better as it uses a different way to achieve this.

Thanks Winston, restarting my router worked for me too. Seems that somehow the DCHP (maybe due to the Mountain Lion upgrade?) had assigned the same IP address to both the AppleTV and my iMac. The AppleTV stopped appearing as an AirPlay device for my iPhone and Mac, but still the AppleTV had Internet access.
Restarting the router reassigned IPs and without fanfare, the AppleTV is now available to AirPlay.

PS CS6 folders and icons to small

I am using an MAC OSX is Mountain Lion. I am have problems with the small folders and icons in Photoshop CS6. It their a way to make them larger permanently? They are very hard to see. Same goes for the text in PS CS6.

It's not clear making Photoshop "Retina compliant" has anything to do with the question.
Since you mention folders and icons, can we assume you mean you're using Bridge, Vicki? If so, try pressing the Control and + keys simultaneously to see if the elements you're interested in seeing are made larger.
In the Photoshop application itself, the user interface doesn't follow the normal conventions operating systems use to size UI elements, but it does offer some internal configurability. Inside Photoshop, check the Photoshop - Preferences - Interface dialog and look for the UI Font Size configuration setting. It doesn't get a whole lot larger, but it can help some.

You can try two possible steps:-
1]Triple click the home button. You should get an accessibility menu.deselect the negative/black and white option.
2]Go to settings->General->accessibility->and deselect invert colours.
That should fix it

Suddenly all display and icons changed color

I turned on my MacBook Pro this morning and the display color turned to an egg-yolk yellow. How do I get it back to the way it originally was. I did not install anything new or change any defaults since I purchase it in May of this year. Did something break or what?? Everything is gray or black now. I need major help!!!

You can go into System Preferences, Display, Color, and see if any of the profiles bring it back. If not, I suspect the video card might have issues.

How can I create a Tree with Color Picker icons?

I'm a newbie to Flex. I want to create a tree which has color
picker icons.
As an analogy for the Mac users out there, I envision a
control like the Calendars section in iCal, where you can specify
the color for each individual node. These colors are then used in
other parts of the application.
The Flex 3 documentation specifies four methods for setting
node icons on a Tree control, none of which seems to suit my needs:
-The folderOpenIcon, folderClosedIcon, and defaultLeafIcon
properties
-Data provider node icon fields
-The setItemIcon() method
-The iconFunction property
In other words, I want to "setItemIcon" to an mx:ColorPicker,
if that makes any sense.
Is there a standard way of doing this? If not, how can I go
about implementing such a control? Thanks in advance!

The two button dialog is boring.
I need to change the font (larger), the background color, the button color, and hilite the important part of the message.
Ex: is this color RED ? I'd like to see RED is red.

I think it will be better if you create your own dialog window. Create a vi with all the features you want the dialog window to perform. Edit the connectors of the vi so they return what you want to retrieve (Right-click the upper right icon in the fron panel of the vi and select "Show Connectors"). Then, edit the configuration of your vi so it behave like a dialog box (Right-click the upper right icon again and select "VI Setup..."). Finally, add your vi to your main application vi.
