No. Pages documents on the iPad are, for all practical purposes, only available to the Pages app. There is no global folding system in the iPad.
You may want to review the User Guide. It's nook marked for you in Safari on the iPad or you can download it through iBooks.

Unlike a 'normal' computer the iPad doesn't have a file system and everything on it has to be stored/associated within an app, you can't have separate folders of documents/files on your iPad's homescreens. If the apps that you have support it then you could possibly use Dropbox to store your documents within a folder structure, but you'd then need internet access in order to access them.

How do I save opened documents in the Documents or Recent folders for future use?

I open several PDFs from my emails but would like to access them through adobe at a later date. None of them remain in the Documents or Recent folders for me to review the next day. Can anything be done about this?

Use the methods described in this document to bring PDF files into Adobe Reader. They should stay in the Documents folder:

I would like to make folders for my pages documents on icloud can this be done easily? Also the icloud help menu claims I am not connected to internet what is going on there? I am obviously connected I made this post didn't I or is my head in the clouds?

The application I was using is Pages for OS X, not the beta iCloud app. Apple did recover most of the lost data but not all--there remains a discrepancy of about (33) thirty-three documents. (see below)
As to your recommendation... As for Google, I've had a Gmail/Google Apps .EDU account since my college days, all the data in Google Docs/Drive hasn't been touched since I left it so that's a good sign. In contrast, considering this is the second time I've suffered a data loss with iCloud (Sep. 2013, when iOS 7 was released), I am ready to pull the plug and move on to another service like Google or Microsoft. My wife has an Office 365 subscription and uses OneDrive (not Google) a lot, I may take her up on it--they get 1TB of storage! (I'd be lucky to use more than a GB or two.) Most, if not all, of my colleagues use Word/Office so I will likely be limping back to using Word again. I used Pages all through graduate school and beyond, no issues with the app itself; however, since Pages saves documents by default to iCloud, I had little reason to think it would less-safe on iCloud than on my own computer (HDDs crash all the time).
Moving forward, I will be advising my friends, family, and colleagues to avoid iCloud altogether.
This is what Apple recovered.... Approx. 173 documents, approximately 84% of what there originally was. (I've already moved them to Google Drive for safe keeping)

You need to create another page for this. 1) Create a KM Navigation iView and to its Path to Initially Displayed Folder property give your KM folder path.
2) assign this iview to a new created page
3) assign this page to the same Nav role
4) for search, create a km search iview and you can keep this iview anywhere in the page for doing search.

Here is a guide to creating folders and items in a document library for SharePoint Server/Foundation: Creating SharePoint Folders
and Items with PowerShell. You will need to tailor it to your needs as it's a demo for creating 50,000 items.
That's step 1 and contains the bulk of what you would need to do. Here's an example of connecting to a library in SharePoint Online using CSOM: Office
365 - PowerShell Script to Upload Files to a Document Library using CSOM. You won't be uploading files, but the parts where you connect and get a list are what you're interested in.
Now you'll combine bits from both of these scripts:
1. Connect to SPO
2. Get your list (looks like you need to first get the site collection and then the site)
3. Create a folder
I figure it would look something like this (note I haven't tested this at all):

Error: No universe found for this document in the CMC

Hi,
We have a universe which drives around 45 Web Intelligence reports in Business Objects XI R2.
Recently, when I made changes in the universe and tried to export it, the Designer interface hung and further it was found that the universe file got corrupted for some reason.
Now, the administrator deleted the universe from the CMC and exported a copy of the same universe that I had saved on my local machine before exporting. He was successful in doing so. However, when the associated Webi reports are accessed, an error message " Some objects are no longer available in the universe. Error 10001 Error INF" is displayed.
In the CMC, FOLDERS> Report Properties > Universe: shows - " No document found for this document"
I know we are missing out on something simple. Any pointers will be extremely helpful.

I beleve there was a unique identifier for the old universe. You could probably restore from an old cms database backup and filestore backup to get it back that way. The other (probably better option) would be to go into the webi documents themselves and specify the universe there. I believe XIR2 had this functionality although I don't recall for sure when it was introduced (may have been 3.x). There may be some other alternatives, these are the few that came to mind initially. Note Board web part to display comments for explicit Document Set

I guess my question falls under 'Other customization' hence my post here.
Scenario:
I have a Document Set content type enabled for a library. At the moment I have a few "folders" [document sets] that contain their respective documents.
I edited a Document Set welcome page to include a Note Board web part. I edited the Note Board web part by adding a 'URL for note' to be a URL of a random Document Set welcome page while in edit mode.
(Basically, I went to a 'ABC' document set page, clicked edit page, copied URL from address bar, closed that page, went to 'Customize Welcome Page' for all document sets in that library, edited Note Board web part by pasting the link into its 'URL for note'
field)
Problem:
Currently, all comments are shared between all document sets (folders). When I go to 'ABC' document set and post a comment, I can see my ABC specific comments in e.g. 'XYZ' document set.
I want to have comments specific to each document set displayed on a respective page for that document set.
Solution?
I realize that I must have gotten an URL for a Note Board web part wrong and it does not filter comments explicit to each document set but fetches the comments from whole the library. My url is currently:

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to display comments only for a given document set on its welcome page, not display for all the document sets.
If so, you should not set the “URL for note” field in the Note Board web part, you can just leave it blank, then when you post a comment in one document set, the others would not display the comment.

Create an iview for batch document upload to KM

Hi, I´m trying to create an iview for batch document upload to the portal. At the moment, I've only been able to upload documents from a source directory in the server, given an xml file uploaded from the client, which indicates the location of these files.
The inclution of the uploaded file to KM is not an issue, that is already solved. I'm just trying to make it usable by an administrative user that may not have access for creating folders in the portal server, unlike me.
I need help doing one of these two things:
1. creating an upload percentage status bar
or 2. accesing the client's directory to upload and insert the file into the repository one by one.
Can anyone help?
(by the way, I'm trying to to exactly what the portal epa import iview does, but with documents, so i know it's possible, i just don't know how)

Setting create date for versioned documents

Hi,
I'm trying to explicitly set the create date for a versioned document (as in, the versions for the document), using the Content DB java API.
What I'm trying to do is basically this (pseudo-code):
- Create an unversioned document (the folders do not have auto-version turned on) with the create date explicitly set. This works fine.
- Make it versioned
- Check it out, upload a new version with the create date set, check it back in
It is at the last step where I seem to have problems -- the act of checking a file back in seems to reset the create date to be the date of checkin rather than the date I set.
Is there any way of accomplishing what I'm trying to do?

how can i create new file folders for email and/or photos on the iPad 2?
and, will it also work on the iTouch?
ALSO, tried to install a wireless printer which looks for documents in the "documents" folder, but i can't save them there from email or anyplace else????

If you are on iOS 5 and it's an IMAP based email account then you should get an Edit button at the top of the list of your current folders on your email account - if you aren't on iOS 5 or if the account is POP based then you won't get the Edit button.
Similarly for photos, if you are on iOS 5 then you should get an Edit button at the top right of the Album selection screen in the Photos app which allows you to create new albums and copy (not move) photos into - and if you delete the original photo then if will also be removed from all albums that you've 'copied' it into.
If the iPod Touch is also on iOS 5 then I think that you will get the same options (though I'm not 100% sure)

Open Finder, highlight your Macintosh HD and select New Folder. Name it whatever you want. In Word there is an option to Save File in X folder. Select that new folder you created. Alternative to this is when saving a file a dialog window will open where you can select the folder to save in, select the folder you created and there should be an option to make this the Default folder to save to (but not sure about that option in the Save dialog box).

Attaching ipages documents

I'm a relatively new Apple user and am puzzled about saving ipages documents. I've done so successfully and then stored them in my documents folder. However, when attempting to email any of those documents, any of my ipages documents cannot be attached. When going through the browse and selection process, all of my ipages documents' name appear as a faded title rather than the bold title I have for PDF files, powerpoint-like files, or excel-like files. How do I save ipages documents on my Macbook so that they are attachable?

Compress file first, then attach. Ctrl-Click (the file name in finder) > Compress "filename".
Of course, Pages '08 file will only be readable by another Pages user.
