Folders missing, .sdf files instead

I have a few folders that are missing in my Creative Cloud folder and there are .sdf files instead. What happened to the folders and is there any way to get the folders back? I don't see them in the archives to restore.

- via Ethernet cable PC running Windows XP Pro
When I run Windows SyncToy between PC and external HD
not all files are visible after synchronisation on
the HD. Certain folders are either empty or missing
on the HD.
SyncToy is not supported software. Not a surprise that it doesn't work.

Even Microsoft refuses to answer questions about it, and quoting the above:

Your application still has a handle to the file. It think it would be better if you just cleared out the db and reused it. Is there some reason you need to completely delete the file?
The phone has a file system, you just aren't able to use it in the way that you can use the Windows file system.

How does one change the font size for folders and/or file lists in the Bookmarks Library?

How does one change the font size for folders and/or file lists in the '''Bookmarks''' Library?
Since the upgrade to version 9.0.1 of Firefox, the Bookmarks feature changes are confusing me. They seem to be confusing themselves as well. The list of bookmarks has changed. The font size is so small that my aging eyes cannot read it without fogging the screen with my breath. Some folders are out of alphabetical order (where I know they were previously good), and some are missing altogether (folders to which I frequently add references).
As for missing or deranged files or folders, was there something that I should have done or now need to do to recover those after the upgrade (or before)?
With regard to font size,
1. there is no “Edit Bookmarks” or like option to edit the list in this version
2. the “zoom” option in the “view” list of functions is greyed out when in “Show All Bookmarks” window
3. expanding the browser window has no effect on font size
4. “Preferences” settings for font size has no effect in that window either, including advanced settings
5. “Help” offers none that I can find.
Can any of you Help?!?

Missing domain files and how do I find them?

Two related questions and I will try to be brief. both are related.
1. If I have several iWeb projects, I create a folder in each client's folder where I store their domain.sites2 file. When I set up a new project for a new client I usually have to move the previous project (that is automatically launched in iWeb)into a temporary place until a newly launched and created iWeb project is created. Then I move the previous domain file back to its client folder before I begin work on the second one. I am sure there is an easier way to do this, but this works for me. So question one is is this the way to do this?
2. When I did that today (launched iWeb, found client #1's project still showing there, closed iWeb, moved #1 to temp, relaunched iWeb and got "create a new domain?" which I said yes to, then told it where to save it to). However what was showing now in iWeb was a project I had worked on a long time ago, not a new blank slate. So I tried to find where that very old project was located to delete it completely so iWeb will start anew, and spotlight can not seem to find the domain.site file of that project. I have tried spotlight "domain.sites2, site, site2, domain" and all the rest of my clients projects are listed, just not this old one, yet it must be here somewhere or why else would iWeb automatically call it up?
Anyway I can do a more in depth search for this file?
I tried working a bit on the new project using the old file that appears in iWeb, but I don't know where it is saved to move it incase I want to start on another new project.

I found the answer finally to both questions on a post dated today from "Ethmoid". It reads:
"You need to go to your Home User Library and not your System Library - (note the difference), then Application Support/iWeb - open the iWeb application and your domain.sites files for the sites you have created should be there."
I will use this location now to move files instead of the way I was doing them before within their own folders. much safer this way.

Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro making .log files instead of .pdf files

I just uninstalled Acrobat 9 from one computer and installed it on my new one. Now when I try to create a .pdf, it's creating a .log file instead. I have tried uninstalling again and installng it. Also, there is NOT a pdf hiding somewhere else. The program worked before on my other computer.

If you are receiving a .log file, it typically means that an error has occurred during the creation of the PDF file from a PostScript or EPS file via the Distiller. Open up the .log file in NotePad (assuming you are on Windows) and see what it says! Likely, the problem is that you new system is missing some fonts from your old system.

Search multiple folders and muiltiple files and combine to single file

I want to search multiple folders for muliple files and combine to single file name. The files I'm searching have same format, but where named
differently in each of there processes. Now I want to combine based upon -SearchFor .. I'm having a problem with -Filter $SearchFor

I think you might want to use -Include instead of -Filter. Your -Include parameter accepts wildcards, i.e. *.docx or *somstr.txt
Your command to actually append the content should be:

You had $Files.FullName which might behave unexpectedly, if at all.
Your actual command has several issues.

You had commas following the lists of locations and searchfor terms, did that even work? Without seeing your source files or your target file I can only advise you so much, but ideally you would import-csv and export-csv. Depending on the contents,
you may be able to get away with get-content and out-file though.

"Missing" picture files in PE 9.00?

Within the last two months, when I open PE9 in the organize mode, some of the thumbnails generated during the process indicate "missing" files with a small yellow ? in the upper left corner. This represents about 10% of my 6300 photos. When I select one of these 'missing" files, the application will search for, and most times find the file. If I continue this process for a series of files, inevitably the application will freeze up, leaving me no choice but to shut down PE 9, and start over again. Any ideas as to what's going on, and how to fix it?

Seems like you have moved the files to some other location on disk or have renamed the containing folder or files themselves. This is so because files go missing in all these scenarios + when you delete the container folder/files externally i.e. outside Organizer. But in your case, reconnect is happening so deletion is not the case.
Reconnect is used to relocate these files and update their path information in Organizer catalog.
Click File >> reconnect >> All Missing files and let it run so that EO itself tries reconnecting and updating path information about these missing files.
Might take some time but let it be. You can do so in small chunks as well by selecting the option 'Missing Files' instead of All Missing Files from File >> Reconnect menu.

Missing tmp file

Using OSX Server 10.5.3 on a Mac Pro. End of the school year, so I wanted to run my server updates, as I am behind. I get an failed install message, "the installer could not create the folder "private/tmp/MacOSXServerUpd10.5.4.pkg.1849c19JVv"
Sure enough, when I go to GO>Go to Folder and insert /private/tmp, no file exists. Where did it go? Can I just add it back?

Just a question. Only my tmp file is missing, not the whole private folder. There are other folders in the private folder besides the missing tmp file. If I do what you say, will I lose those files in the private folder?

Missing master files

I use the library to manage all of my files and when I moved files the versions from one project to another some of the master files are now missing. Any easy way to locate the missing master files or restore them to the library? I move images between projects all the time and this is the first instance of masters being lost.

First, check your trash for an Aperture folder and make sure the files did not get removed somehow.
If the master images are not there, go to your Aperture library in Finder and right-click on it, selecting "Show Package Contents". Then find the projects you moved the images to, and also the project you moved the images from. Again, right click and "Show Package Contents".
Now that you are inside your library, look in the "import" folders - that s where all of your master files are stored. You can use Finder to search for them as well in the FInder window for each project.
When you find them, put them somewhere outside the Aperture library and use the "locate masters" command to re-link them, then use "Consolidate masters" to get them back in the library.

Crash when try to open song with missing exs-file.need shortcut!

I would like to ask, if there is any idea where I can get a list of shortcuts/keycommands for startroutines in logic. I can´t open my songs anymore because logic can´t find some exs-files. instead of just leave these files as "missing", logic crashes.... I need to start the songs without driver. Any idea, how?

Just open Logic without loading a Project->Prefs->Audio->disable Audio core->then open your damaged projects.

Can't delete itunes to update because of missing msi file

Had virus issues with my computer. Now finally got the add or remove list to re-populate and tried to update iTunes. Kept saying error, can't find missing msi file. Read to manually delete all apple/itunes files including quicktime, etc. Itunes won't delete because computer needs to find this missing msi file. Have rebooted numerous times. Error c081- Missing BLOB file on add/modify

Hi All,
Looking for possible C081 error causes. One of users notify few of them (3 in last 2 weeks). Problems occur in attachments sent to GW internal receipients - always to the same.
Suspecting some kind of GW Client "use" errors (missing attachments are DOC files and receipient maybe opened it, save again to GW ? - receipient user won't cooperate to discover what happened).
GW2014 - one PO, one domain one the same server. 120 users.
Anyone found similar situation ?
Second question (maybe stupid): looking in offiles subdirs for lost BLOB files i found, that in different fdxx folders are blob files with the same name, different length, date. Is that possible ? Always I think files in offiles have different names.

Same? Same users? Same files? It looks like you missed a few key words
that would help us better understand what is happening.

I doubt it is the user doing that as it is totally a back end error. What
is the server that the POA is running on? Make sure AV is NOT doing
anything with the GroupWise data files. How tight on RAM and disk space is
this server?

Not stupid at all, just a knowledge gap that can be easily filled. Even
some of the older books are GroupWise will be helpful as the basic file
structure hasn't changes much since GroupWise 5.
Yes the files exist as you describe, but it is extremely rare any of us
match them to a particular message. Basically just treat the whole offiles
structure as if it was a big database. There isn't a whole lot written
about the details of them because for the most part they are a hands off
operation. If you need to actually touch them, it should be a Novell
support rep telling you that.

Missing installation file *itunes64.msi

I cannot update my itunes because everytime it gets to the end I have the problem that it is missing a file and it wants me to browse to this section. I find the file on the computer and click on it and I am in the same loop over and over.

Run SqlCeEngine.Upgrade on SDF-File (created with MSSQL 2005) after upgrading to MSSQL 2008

Im trying to programmatically convert a SDF-File from 3.0 to
3.5.
Code looks like this:

And the error message I am getting looks like this:
The file that is being referenced is not a valid SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition (version 3.1) or SQL Server 2005 Mobile Edition (version 3.0) database file to perform upgrade
I am using VS2005, my Windows Form Application is being compiled to a
WM 6.5 device.
The System.Data.SqlServerCe.dll is version 3.5.1.0 (according to VS2005) and is being taken from
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server Compact Edition\v3.5\Devices\.
What am I missing here?
\I'm also not sure which CAB-files are needed on my pocket pc (Honeywell Dolphin 9700)
In the wce500 are several folder for the SQL Compact 3.5 Core/etc., seperated by processor type (I have a Marvel XScale PXA270 built in my pocket pc)...

Sorry for delay.
Please make user that the database file is not with 2.0 version. The SQL Compact 3.5 Upgrade API can only upgrade 3.0/3.1 version database files.

Missing itunes files

anybody have missing itunes files that you did not delete, but are all of a sudden gone. I have tried to find them in my itunes folder but they are missing.

I just ran across the same issue on my computer. I purchased an audiobook two days ago and I just went into iTunes this morning and the files are missing. The folders for it are still in my myMusic folder but the files are nowhere to be found. I have it synced to my ipod already but I fear that it will get deleted when I try to resynch. I have an active backup running on my pc to a network server and the server has the folders and not the files also. I'm kind of upset because I know that I didn't delete the files and now I can't even download them again. It also concerns me that other things in my library might start disappearing.
I'm running iTunes 7.4.3.1
