Folders on my phone

ive seen some photos of iphones with extra folders in the mail app. how do i make new ones so i can keep my email organized?
never mind, i just did a search and found my own answer. its amazing how much info has already been asked. all i need do is search...

If you are asking about modifying position and everything else for photos while looking at the DCIM folders via Windows Explorer, you do not want to make adjustments there. The folder structure there is created by the phone, and disturbing that could create an issue for identifying photos. The best place to arrange photos is on the computer. Import them with Windows photo import utility and then make changes in Explorer.

HT2905 When i use itunes to transfer photos from my pc to my iphone it transfers two duplicate folders onto the phone. One called photo library the other the name of the folder i transfered. I dont want the photos on my phone twice

Hi. I hope someone can help.
I have just downloaded itunes onto my pc.
Firstly when my iphone is plugged in and i open itunes it does not have a picture/photo folder under my phone listing.
Secondly when i go to photos from the top of screen and tick sync. It asks me to select the folder i want to sync with phone which i do. I then press apply and it transfers all the photos from that folder to my phone BUT it does it twice! I end up with two folders with the same photos. One named as per folder on pc and the other named photo library. I am not able to delete either of them. If i go back to itunes and unsync it deletes them both.
I have been trying for hours now.
If i just try to do it from my pc ie right click and send to iphone it wont do it just says phone not responding or disconnected
Any ideas?

You do NOT have duplicates. This is how Apple handles photos.
Just as a song is in your Itunes Library and that exact same song can be accessed from a playlist, all synced photos are in the Photo Library and those exact same photos can be accessed from the album.

If you mean folders for apps then press and hols one of your app icons until they all start to "wiggle" the drag them on top of each other to create the folder. The phone will name the folder but you can change this to whatever you like.

You have to get the classname of the Items you receive from getitems.
There you have only to look for Folder.CLASS_NAME. Example:

With the site on display, click on the site identity button (for details on what that is see [https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Site+Identity+Button]) and then on More Information. This will open up the page info dialog.
First select the Permissions panel, make sure that "Load Images" is set to allow (selecting Use Default should also work)
Next select the Media panel, then click on the first item in the list. Use the down arrow key to scroll through the list. If any item has the option "Block images from (domain name)" selected, de-select the option.
This should hopefully resolve your issue, but also see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Images+or+animations+do+not+show
Some add-ons can also block images, for example if you have AdBlock Plus installed, make sure that you have not accidentally created a filter to block the images.

You create a save folders from your computer then sync your iphone with iTunes.
When you create your email account, it should automatically have a incoming and sent folders.

1.1.3 problems syncing iphoto folders with phone

I am having issues with itunes syncing the desired iphoto folder with my iphone. I have done all of the updates to both itunes and iphone OS. Itunes looks like it is syncing but the folders on the phone never change their content. Anyone else experiencing these problems and any work around?

Unable to move Remember task/note between phone, exchange tasks and evernote folders

it is very easy to add a Remember note/task (Search remem... Add note...). That note/task is added to the phone folder of notes. But it is not possible to move the notes from this folder (it is filed under Unfilled items as default) to another folder such as that of Evernote or to the Tasks list of an Exchange account. Similarly, it is not possible to move any tasks or notes from the Evernote or Exchange folders to the Phone folder.
But obviously, I can create a note in all of the groups with the same parameters, so the notes should be interchangeable among all of the mentioned folder (types or providers).
What do you think about it, please? Is there any work around to this to add notes quickly to some other folder then Unfilled?

I want to create folders on my iPhone and sync to PC

I really want to find a way to be able to sync photos to my PC but keep a folder structure around them. Some case:
I take pics on my phone
Photostream copy moves up to icloud and down to my PC
I can organize them into client names(or other)
Any itunes images and folder setup to sync move to my phone
I just can't figure out how to get a new pic into a folder on my iphone that will move to my PC and be in the same folder when it's there.
When I try to move an iphone created image to a folder to a folder on a phone that is setup to sync from the PC, its grayed out. So that implies that the iTunes synch is one way only. I can move new pic to other folders on the phone, but of course those aren't setup to sync.
Is there no way to organize pics into folders on the phone that then gets echoed on the PC??
If photostream is the only way to sync both ways, then it's horribly ineffcient. Every time I open the PS folder on my PC it takes 1.5 min to refresh with all 1800 pics in there. And if I need to find certain client image sets, then I have to go back and find them by hand. Now good.
Does anyone have suggestions around how to acheive this?

You should copy everything from your old computer to your new one, then sync.
The iphone will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will indeed erase the current content and replace with content from the new computer.

How do I sync camera roll folders to iPhoto?

Hey everyone. I'm at a loss... can't seem to find an answer to my question.
I've taken hundreds of photos on my new 4S and organzied them into folders on my phone. When I try to import them to iPhoto, it seems like the only way to get them on to my computer is to import them all in one big lump. Is there any way to keep the folders that I've created and import them with me when I transfer them to iPhoto?

Maybe you've solved your issue, I'll not be of much help. I just discovered that deleting a photo from the camera roll will also delete it from the created album. How stupid is that? Isn't that sort of what the "photo library" is for? Typical Apple: one boneheaded feature away from being absolutely incredible"! At any rate, I'm guessing this has something to do with your quandary. I now have to go though and make sure I don't lose any photos next time I tackle the camera roll/sync (I'm on PC, once a month or so I typically dump my camera roll into a folder, then put those photos in the corresponding folders I've created on the PC. This is going to complicate that process in sure). Good luck (my wife uses Mac and iPhoto is a mess. I won't go near that stupid program)

I have an N95 8gb with 30.0.1.18 FW. I have the latest PC suite and Ovi suite installed on Windows Vista 32-bit. I have a few personal folders on my phone's messaging in the My Folder section. I have never been able to see those folders on the communication centre provided in PC suite. Is there a way I can get it to work?

it's a shame that not all phones support it I dont understand the logic but I dont think it'll be too difficult to implement this.
N95 8gb is a top-end phone and yet it is not supported.... i paid $ 500 for this one.

USB port keeps finding a "new" phone

Hi guys,
I just installed the latest PC Suite (v 6.83.14.1) and installed new firmware on my Nokia N91 (V.2.29.008) and ran into a new problem (why am I not surprised...).
Problem:
When I connect my Nokia N91 with the USB cable, my PC (running XP) discovers the new hardware and I get an USB connected icon in my XP toolbar.
It then _keeps_on_ "discovering new hardware", although I have my N91 connected, meaning that I can't disconnect it through the usual means. I can't even use the Nokia PC Suite to "officially" connect it (using the "Get Connected!" button) since PC Suite freezes when I try.
I can browse my phone using the PC Suite File manager and Music Manager (**bleep**py program that it is...).
As a results, this constant "New USB hardware found" wastes 40-90% of PC CPU resources.
What I have tried>
I've uninstalled the PC suite, made sure I've downloaded the newest PC suite. I've ran the PC suite Cleaner and I've restarted my PC 5-6 times. Still the same problem whenever I connect my Nokia N91.
Any suggestions on what I can try?

Hi, I have encountered the same problem an solved it as followes: (Sorry, Since I am German, using german Windows XP Home I am not sure, if the translations of the Windows-Menues are correct. But I guess You can get to them if you understand the context)
The Problem is in the "Windows Device Managers Menue(?)". Open it through the "System Control Menue(?)"
I found that under the Menue "Mobile Devices" my Phone "Nokia 6131" was disabled, although the Nokia PC Suite and all related features were working perfectly (except for the Message "New Device foung.." appearing every few seconds).
Click on the right mouse button an select "reactivate". An error message occured saying something like "a problem encountered...." ignore the message an reactivate anyhow. After that the PC and the Phone worked perfectly an the permanent "... found an new device"-message (slowing down the system permanently) disappeared.
So try it out, that's the way I solved it!
