Folio and Articles Limit

I have a .Indd (13mbyte) but I can't add it to the folio because it weighs more than 1GB.
How should I know before making the preview?
This article consists of 12 pages:
     - first page with a simple sliding frame,
     - second page with a small gallery
     - other 8 pages has a still image with 3 or 4 hot spots

In that folder will also display temporary files (TIFF images) that have not yet been used in the folio, but for convenience are present in the "Links" folder.
It's probably best to keep it clean "Links" folder with only the images that are actually attached and used in the document indesign.
I thought indesign take photos only really used in the folio.
Now aspect the picture of the customer, who has since deleted that folder in the material useless

What's my goal:
A client of mine asked if it was possible to set a DPS document:
That when you scroll through your app from left to right (and visa versa) that you always get to the TOP-page when you get into a new article.
I was wondering if there was a way to fix that somwhere? I can't really find it

Hallo Kevin,
as far as I know it's currently not possible. When you open a freshly downloaded issue, you will always start on the most top page, but as soon as you have scrolled down in a article, the app will
save the "laast seen" page and jump back to this possition as soon as you come backt to the article.
maybe you should file a feature request to be addes as an option switch in the DPS App Builder.

Preview folios and articles

I'm geting an error when i go to preview my folio. It says the folio contains one or more stacks that are not yet supported in content viewer only supported on iOS viewers. Any suggestions to fix this?

Has anyone ever received an error message that says "There are -1 articles in the folio and you have reached the -1 article maximum allowed." I'm not sure why I'm getting this message or what to do. Any advice?

I'm trying to add any article to any shared folio, and I'm unable to do so.
I'm working on a new folio, and I wanted to start populating it with articles so I tried to add an article and I received the error message saying that I've reached my limit. But it seems unusual that I'm getting that, especially since the limit it mentions is "-1 articles." I've never seen this error before.
I've tried deleting entire folios that had about 20 articles within them and it still sends me the same message.
I have noticed that I am able to upload articles to an offline folio... but I don't think that's helpful to me right now.

Folio file size limit

In the past their were file size limits for folios and folio resources. I believe folios and their resources could not go over 100MB.
Is their a file size limit to a folio and its resources? What is the limit?
What happens if the limit is exceeded?

Article size is currently capped at 2GB. We've seen individual articles of up to 750MB in size but as mentioned previously you do start bumping into timeout issues uploading content of that size. We're currently looking at implementing a maximum article size based on the practical limitations of upload and download times and timeout values being hit.
This check will be applied at article creation time and you will not be allowed to create articles larger than our maximum size. Please note that we are working on architecture changes that will allow the creation of larger content but that will take some time to implement.
Currently to get the best performance you should have all your content on your local machine (Not on a network drive), shut down any extra applications, get the fastest machine you can, with the most memory. The size of article is direclty proportional to the speed at which you can bundle an article and get it uploaded to the server.

Expected Value and Overall limit value usage.

if the frame work order we have these 2 field Expected value and overall limit field value to be filled,
and the system allows Invoice (or GR) up to the maximum of the overall limit value. and only if the value entered crosses the overall limit value the system issues a Error Message ( which is agreeable)
but the logical requirement is that, if the value crosses the Expected value limit the system should display a warning message, indicating that the value has crossed the expected value.
is there any config or note to be applied to get this funtionality.

Inside this documentation, it is stated that there is a variety of
limits (combinations) to be used:-
- Overall limit only
- Overall limit and limit on services covered by contract item(s)
- Overall limit, limit on services covered by contract item(s),
- and other limit
- Overall limit and other limit
- Overall limit on services from model specifications or standard
    service catalog
- Expected value
The expected value is used in the update of the
PO item value and this is the value used in the release strategy.

Expected value - ESUH-COMMITMENT
Value that the unplanned services (or the materials) covered by this
item are not expected to exceed.
Use
If you are working with the release (approval) procedure for purchasing
documents, this value serves as the basis for a release strategy applied
to this document.
If you tick 'No limit',you don't need to enter 'Overall limit',but must
enter 'Expected value'.Because 'Expected value' will affect the release
strategy. Please read the note 440601 connected to this.
Concerning the variability of actual cost of a purchase order,
expected value means that the unplanned services (or materials)
covered by this item are not EXPECTED to exceed.
It is not mandatory that it has the same value like total limit value.
Expected value can exceed, it is used for comparison with total limit

User Exit for validating overall limit field and expected limit field-ME2xN

Dear Gurus,
Can you please suggest me any user exit or BAdi to validate the overall limit field and expected limit field in transaction ME2xN.
Or any other way to to achieve this functionality in ME2xN.
Our Requirement is while raising a service PO in the Limits tab the 'Overall limit' should be same as 'Expected Value', at present the user can enter overall limit greater than 'Expected Value'.

this will not work. you cannot add another structure (AUFK) on top of CEBAN. all characteristics have to be of one structure and since you want to release a PR it has to be CEBAN. before attempting to program something around that why do you not go to tx. OLME -> PR -> Release Strategy -> With Classfication -> Release Strategie and run it in a simulation mode. you will then see how it reacts.

Open order value and credit limit used are -ve

Hi,
We are running into the problem where there is a negative open order value and orders are bypassing credit hold.
The values are incorrect in the open order value and in the credit limit used. These both show as negative values, which is bad.
We have made settings in OVA8 correctly. Is there any other setting should be made in order to block the open order value and credit limit used ????

Please take the help of the SD consultant in this regard. Because open orders means there are many like invoiced and not yet delivered. And the credit limit is also part of the SD to check.
Please check in the T.code FD32 to find out the credit limit detials of the customer.

IDOC posting for distinct PO records(as header) and article(line item)

Hi! All
It would give me your valuable suggestions and help me with developing the mapping below:
I have a file to IDOC scenario, which has about 10 fields and two of these fields are PO and article no.
I need to post IDOC for each distinct PO number(header) and then article number under these PO should post as line items.For exmaple:
consider sample records having the following PO and artcile number:
PO|article_no
123456|abc123
123456|abc456
123456|abc678
These 3 records should post only as one IDOC, having the header PO 123456 and line items(abc123,abc456,abc678)
On the target side, PO is mapped to the parent segment and artcile is in the child segment.

I think solution is simple...while creating recordset from file create recordset for every occurance of Header..
I think your File structure would be something like this in FCC..
header,1,Line_Item,*...hence it wull create recordset for every occurance of header and you can map Line Items to idoc line items...Also specify recordset per messages = *.
I have done something like this...

Output current and voltage limit

I am currently using a PXI 4130 to output 1mA with 2V backing. I am measuring the voltage and current with a DMM and I am getting good values. I need to be able to prove that the voltage and current will not largely exceed 1mA or 2V so that it will not damage any components. Looking at the code I used it says that voltage level range is 6 and current limit range is 20 and I am not sure what that means exactly. What precautions/values can I change to make sure these values never get exceeded

Hello lvuser,
In you code you are also measuring the voltage and current back into your program. You can make programmatic decisions based on these measurements, for example, stopping the program based off of a voltage that floats too high. Our devices make sure to try to maintain the voltages and currents you tell them by completing a closed loop system with measurements taken on the same inputs that are sourcing. Try taking the readings you get in your program and using some threshold to trigger a case statement that holds a function to close the resource and turn off the generation.

Set scroll and zoom limit

I got this .fla file from another forum it seems quite good but,
I cant set the limit of the scroll when it reaches the end of the image or bottom
I also want to set the image zoom in and out limit
please anyone need some help here.

You have to watch the Pan & Zoom tool cues in the image and the changes with the timeline as you work in the tool. As you add / move / delete your frames you will be changing the duration elements - the Hold Time and The Pan Time.
In the example below my Pan Time between frame one and frame two is sixteen seconds. You can change that by clicking the pan time and entering a duration. The other time I've highlighted is the is the one second hold time for frame two. Again you can change it by clicking it. On the timeline itself you can also see the Hold Time for frame one at the five second point.

If you only use dID, you need to use: putLocal("RevisionSelectionMethod", "Specific")
I never got this working with strictly dID. Once I fed it dDocName and then used the below it got rid of the error:
putLocal("RevisionSelectionMethod", "Latest")

Adobe DPS Folio and Content Viewer Query

Hello,
I am currently creating folios using the Foilo Overlays and Folio Builder and then previewing them on the Content Viewer on the iPad. My question is after the 1st May will I still have the ability to do this? I don't create app just preview them on my iPad to see how they work. If anyone can give me an answer it would be much appreciated.

Yes, after May 1, you'll still be able to create, edit, and share folios, and you can use Adobe Content Viewer to view folios. You just won't be able to build single-folio apps using a Single Edition or Creative Cloud license.
