Folio Builder doesn't allow me to add certain articles

I'm adding articles to folio builder and it's being a little picky about which ones I can add and which ones I can't. They're all formatted in the same size etc., but for some reason 3 of my 30 articles won't give me the "add" option or if I add them they hang and it crashes InDesign. Any ideas? Are there specific types of things I should look out for in regards to how I format my documents so that they'll play nice w/ Folio Builder?

It's a tough one, Visslette... Of course, you checked the obvious stuff, so you need to supply a bit more info. What formats and orientation are they, are they smooth scrolling or staggering, did you check to upload them to a new magazine (just for the sake of checking the change), do they total over the 100 MB limit ?

Update to 1.1.3 - but Folio Builder doesn´t work!

Hi,
we read every post about the current problem with the different versions of the folio builder.
We have a new PC with Windows 7 and CS5 (no Prerelease Tools installed).
I have installed and removed every version of dps and folio tools.
On my Mac Book with CS5 it works, on a second PC with CS 5.5. it works but on our PC with CS 5 it doesn`t work.
I have installed the following Tools:

I get the [srv.unknown} error - ok - I read the post that it is important to install version 1.1.3.

I installed the version 1.1.3 and get the following error when I try to login the folio builder panel.
In English: error during communication with server. Please check your network communication and try again.

We're having the same issues. Yesterday, Monday the 12th, everything was working okay. Today, I can't upload a simple two page folio. Any ideas?

Folio Builder doesn't open

When I go to Window > Extensions in my InDesign CS5.5 (Mac), Foilo Builder is there but absolutely nothing happens when I try to select it. All other extensions there open up, but not Folio Builder. I have uninstalled Folio Producer tools, the Folio Builder panel alone, then re-installed the latest CS5.5 updates (yes, not the CS5 updates) for both many times, with the same results. I had Folio Builder working previously, after updating it, even having a folio built, but now the panel just doesn't open. Anyone know how to fix this? I've run out of ideas. Thanks.

It's not the Adobe account that I have a problem with but the second user account on my computer that I had to create. So I log into my mac as a different user. My folio builder works on one user but not the other and is essentially the same software being used. I just open it as a different administrator. I can log into folio builder as my second computer user all ok but the other prompts for an update to the tools.
It means I have to log in and out as different users just to use folio builder. Any ideas?
This issue we have with two separate machines in our studio - they each have two separate mac user accounts so we can access the folio builder.
I hope this makes sense - any feedback to fix this would be a massive help!

Folio builder doesn't work

I can't use Folio Builder: I have already installed both the Panel and Tools, but when I open Indesign it still says that I have to donwload and istall the new version... But I DID it!
I have Mac and Indesign CS5.5 what I have to do? Please, I have to use Folio Builder to complete my final proget for the university!

The new update doesn't allow me to add songs to my iPod

I recently updated iTunes on my Windows computer. I got songs (not from the iTunes Store) and attempted to put them on my iPod. I had made a playlist with songs in it which is on my iPod, but it doesn't come up as an option to add the songs to it. I create another playlist with the new song's but it won't go onto my iPod. I tried everything, clicking and dragging, restarting iTunes, unplugging and plugging in my iPod again, syncing multiple times. I was going to sync through the Setting part of iTunes under my iPod, but it doesn't recognize my iPod from the previous version of iTunes. The songs work on iTunes, but they just won't transfer to my iPod. Thanks for anyone who can help me out!

Generally if syncing doesn't work as expected take the following steps:
Backup device.
Restore as a new device.
Restore the backup made earlier.
This assumes all content on the device is in your library already. If that isn't the case see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

I found the answer to the problem in another discussion. I don't know why I have to turn on the calendar at Icloud for the calendar to work.
What if I didn't have an Icloud account? It doesn't make sense...
The user guide is not clear on this matter it says you have to subscribe to a calendar and that your calendar will be blocked if you subscribe, but it's the opposite... I

It happens only after downloading the latest Firefox. When I try to added a website we use for testing, I got a failure due to the certificate being self-signed. Your system is not allowing me to added as trusted site either.

If you can't change the Settings that means that the Restrictions that prevent changing accounts is set. Settings>General>Restrictions

The Bookmarks toolbar is empty, doesn't allow me to add any bookmarks. I have tried all the options indicated in the support website, but none work. The toolbar remains empty and does not even allow me to drag something down to it from the location bar.

Please see the question above, as that is the problem I am having. I don't understand why the Bookmarks tab does not show any of the bookmarks which I have tagged. They can only be chosen from the drop down menu. I tried dragging the page to the bookmark toolbar from the location bar but that does not work. Is it a glitch in the system?

If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"

TS4079 Why when I ask Siri to remind me does it not allow me to add a date/time to the reminder?

I have recently started getting problems with my Siri. when I ask it to remind me, it takes the details but then doesn't allow me to add a date or time. It used to do that but no longer. What's the point in having a reminder that can't remind you?

If my previous tip had not worked, the alternative is to make sure FaceTime is enabled under Settings > General > Restrictions. If Restrictions are Enabled, FaceTime must be toggled to ON.

Add all files in the path while creating folio file in Folio builder

Hello everyone.
I am using InDesign CS 5 and creating folio for iPad 2. My Folio builder was working fine till last week, but suddenly i see a change the way it behaves. When I update the files in Folio builder, it adds all the files in the path (not just the links in the file) including source PSD files and other related files which I have never used in the InDesign, making the folio file increase in size. Can someone please help me how to overcome this situation?

Do you have an HTML file in there? If so, put it it (and its assets) in its own folder.

iPhoto and Photos store their image files in various undocumented locations, and they seem to store the image metadata in separate locations. If you edit an image in one of their sub-folders, iPhoto or Photos may not know about the change. Instead export the image from iPhoto or Photos, geotag it, and then import it back into iPhoto or Photos to see the geotagged location. In the future Apple may provide a means of accessing the image files directly, but for now you must geotag the photo before importing it, or if the photo is already in iPhoto or Photos, export, geotag, and then import.
So it would seem that it isn't much better than using iPhoto 9.6.1 to do the geotagging, exporting the original from that app, & importing it into Photos.

Strange error when attempting to add an article to the Folio Builder

I've just installed the trial of InDesign 5.5 along with the Digital Publishing Suite.
I've followed the instructions to add an article to the Folio Builder but I am continually greeted with this error:
Not sure what I am doing wrong, the document is set at 1024x768 and it's the first article I've tried to create. It's very simple, just a single image and some text.
I've tried installing on a seperate machine but I get the same error.
Any help would be appreciated.

In some instances, InDesign isn't recognizing the new tools. To fix, restore InDesign preferences:
(Windows) Start InDesign, and then press Shift+Ctrl+Alt. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.
(Mac OS) While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.

Build 10061 - Mail - Will not allow me to add accounts

Trying to use built in App for mail, but it is not allowing me to add accounts to it. Screen does nothing. Any one else have this problem?

Create a New admin account and then check the things out.
And the below is the known issue mentioned in the Windows blog:
The version of the Mail and Calendar apps included in this build (17.4008.42281.0) have a known issue that causes every typed letter to appear twice. Which might be funny if it weren’t so irritating. We have fixed this issue with updated versions of the
apps (17.4016.42291.0) available in the Windows Store Beta (grey tile). If you don’t open the Mail and Calendar apps within the first 15 minutes after logging in to your device for the first time after upgrading and your device is connected to the Internet,
the apps should update automatically. You can also go into the Store Beta and check for updates manually at any time.

Is there a way to add a finished .folio file to the Folio Builder in InDesign

I have some training files from Lynda.com and one of them is a finished .folio file. I wanted to upload that to view it on my iPad with Adobe Digitial Editions app, but I don't see an option to just upload a finished .folio file in the Folio Builder tab in InDesign. Do I have to create a new folio and then add each document to it article by article? It would be great to just upload the completed folio as it is. Thanks for any help!

Sorry, I meant Adobe Content Viewer and the similar iPad app. Thanks for the help though. I ended up creating a new .folio in InDesign and uploading each article one by one. It ended up working out, just a little time consuming.

Folio Builder sign in doesn't work!

I just downloaded all the tools for CS6 on my Mac, the latest version 32. But the folio builder won't sign in, at all. I can click on it a million times and nothing happens. No pop-ups, no links, just no reaction.
What do i do?

What does your Folio Builder panel fly out menu look like? You should see the sign in link which will take you to the sign pop-up window and then leave you with only the sign out option.
Are you able to sign in at Adobe Digital Publishing Suite – Sign In? You may need to accept the terms of agreement if this is a new setup. Accepting the terms of agreement has to be done manually at the website and on a computer, not a device.
