Folio Builder unavailable after updating InDesign

I purchased a subscription to the Creative Cloud so I could get access to the Digital Publishing Suite tools in InDesign. I downloaded a new version of the Adobe Application Manager as indicated, updated InDesign CS6 (it current shows InDesign CS6 as "Up to date") and attempted to access the Folio Builder. I get the following message in the Folio Builder panel:
A software update is required to use Digital Publishing Suite. Please go to the Help menu and select Updates to get the required software.
What do I need to do to gain access to the DPS software?

One more note:
After purchasing CC I though I would be able to install the Digital Publishing Suite as an app though it did not appear in Adobe Application Manager. I went on the support chat and asked why it wasn't available for download and they (yes, I was transferred to the next level three times and it was the fourth person who told me this) that when I update InDesign the tools would become available within the application. I looked, saw the Folio Builder panel and assumed he was right. Now, two days later I try to start working and I get the error above.
I might be missing something big. Perhaps my question should be, I have paid for Creative Cloud which includes the Digital Publishing Suite (according to the DPS page on Adobe's site), how do I get it on my computer (at least the parts that should be on my comptuer. I am very confused at this point.

Folio Builder is missing from indesign cs6 panel

I have Indeisgn CS6. I need to access my Folio Builder, however after updating the system my folio builder has disappeared completely from the drop down 'Windows' tool.
Any idea how to get this back?

Why I can't use the Folio Builder panel on my Indesign 5.5?

When I launch the Folio Builder panel in my Indesign 5.5. There is a message that says "To start the digital publishing authoring process, please download the update for the Folio Producer components and relaunch your application." I have downloaded the "FolioProducerTools-CS55-1-9-1.zip", installed it and restarted my machine but when I launch the Folio Builder panel again and it has the same message so does anybody know what I have missed?

Folio Builder panel missing in InDesign CC

I have installed InDesign via Creative Cloud, and when I go to the folio builder, no dialog box appears. I was looking for the presence of the DPSGraphics plug-in "digital publishing" plug-in and it also cannot be located. Do i have to run the DPS updater tool?

Are you saying that the panel is completely blank or that you're expecting to see Folio presets? If it's the later, you don't get presets as you have to create Folios manually.

Folio Builder Won't update...Help!

Thanks upfront for any response. I'm on a newer mac(Quad-Core Intel Xeon 12 GB of memory) 10.6.8 with Indesign 5.5. The folio panel in Indesign simply has the download update button at the bottom. I myself have downloaded it and tried to install too many times. It simply crashes about 3 secs into installing, and tells me to download the Adobe Support Advisor, (which I did and) and it does nothing other then package up the info for a Rated ($) question you can pay for later.
I've also now downloaded the most recent update (may 2 release) for the FolioProducerTools-CS55-1.10 and FolioPanel-CS55-12.2.2. Both to no avail. Also, I have about 3 other people in my department try it as well with the same results... I'm starting to think it might be a permissions thing with our IT department. Although I'm an admin on this machine.
I'm headed to a cool Pepcon conference next week and would like to be able to get my feet wet with some of this DPS stuff before I go. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

James, what I nightmare. I found this as I am having the same problem. I've followed the solutions from other members and adobe folks with no success.
When I launch Indesign CS5.5, my FOLIO BUILDER has the "Download Update" information.
I have downloaded and installed the following several times:
FolioProducerTools-CS55-1.10.1.dmg
FolioPanel-CS5-12.2.2.1.dmg
Things I've tried:
1. In Activity Monitor, quitting CS5.5ServiceManager and installing both again.
2. Deleted all folders in Library > Preferences > StageManager > Local Store.
3. Updated Indesign to latest version 7.5.3 and did everything again and reinstalled.
Incidentally, I got it to work on another computer which is running 10.5.
Here are my computer specs:
Mac OS X Version 10.6.8
2.66 GHz Intel Core i5
4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
How do I attached my installer log? Please help, thank you!

Folio Builder Will Not Update!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can not sign into my folio builder. It keeps telling me that a update is available and to download the update. I have now downloaded and installed the update 4 times and keep getting the same message.
Any thoughts?

I am on OSX and using InDesign 5.5
I thought uninstalling might help so I uninstalled both Tools and Panel.
Then I:
First I installed the Tools from this link.

Hi! I've downloaded the Folio Producer Tools for InDesign CS5.5 (I accessed it through the folio builder panel) but the panel still asks me to download it and I'm sure I've been throw the whole process... what did I miss???

You need to install both the Folio Producer tools and the Folio Builder panel. They're separate installers.

Folio Builder not working in InDesign

This morning my Folio Builder panel in InDesign stopped working. It's become just a big gray rectangle. It was fine on Friday.
Running the newest version of Folio Builder in InDesign CS5.5 on Windows 7.
Any ideas?

Hey Thanks Andrew! But yeah, I tried that a couple of times. I think it was more of an InDesign issue than anything else. Even my KULER extension was having a hard time. For some reason I kept getting a “No internet connection detected.” message, even tho I was connected to the internet…
Ahh well… All’s well that ends well.

Build failed after updating to CTP 3.1

Hi,
After updating to CTP 3.1, I created a blank cordova project and tried to build it.It shows build failed.I can see a warning - The typescript file was given no files for compilation .However this shouldn't stop the build ?
Please advise.

Set your build verbosity to diagnostic (Tools>Options>Projects and Solutions>Build and Run>Set MSBuild project build output verbosity= Diagnostic) and rebuild your project. The added details should reveal why the build is failing.

Shift key not working after update Indesign CC

I just updated Indesign CC and now the shift key does not do it's normal duty. Constraining propportions, making straight lines etc. How do i fix this?

I enden up doing eveything : removing presets - turning off plug-ins again and then did a restart on the computer (for the third time) and this time it worked. Don't really know exactly what the issue was but atleast it's fixed. Thanx!

I updated the folio builder and now my indesign just hangs when i start it

Try clearing the local folio cache:
On Mac /Users/user name/Library/Preferences/ StageManager.<long_guid>/Local Store/
Please delete following cache file/folders:
* #SharedObjects
* Dmp folder
On PC, C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\StageManager.BD092818F67280F4B42B04877600987F011 1B594.1\Local Store is the path and delete those two folders.
You'll wind up losing any local folios you created, but it may help with your issue with the panel not opening.

Problem after updating InDesign to version 8.0.1

After I have installed update 8.0.1 from InDesign all hyperlinks are gone in all my documents. Furthermore there seems to be a general problem with the hyperlinks panel and adding hyperlinks to textframes for example. I can add a hyperlink via right click, but the option to edit it is then inactive and the URL of the hyperlink is not displayed in the hyperlink panel. Is this a known problem? This is/was an essential part of my work and it is practical impossibel to recover all hyperlinks in all documents by hand.

I don't recall seeing anyone else report this. Try trashing the prefs: see Replace Your Preferences

GT6 Anniversary cars unavailable after update

After not playing GT6 in a long time I couldn't get it to load. This was due to an overload of missed updates failing to install. I eventually found a fix by saving game and save data to USB, deleting from the PS3's HDD... and then installing each of the 19 updates individually. After transferring the data from the USB the game works perfectly again, BUT, all of my anniversary cars are mysteriously unavailable. Each car is assigned with a yellow exclamation mark and when a car is selected you get this warning popup: "Cannot find rights information" "Please download the content again" Any ideas how to fix this? Recommended updating It has been a while, but I think the Anniversay cars were installed with a code. They should be listed in your PS3 download files, so redownload and install them again. I believe that's how it works.

QMaster and Compressor unavailable after update

Just updated to FCS 5.1, which installs Compressor 2.1 and QMaster 2.01.
Since update, I cannot start QMaster services here on the Quad (still fine elsewhere on the network). When I try to start services in Sys Prefs, I get the following error message:
Unable to start services because qmasterd is not running. Please consult your user's manual
Needless to say, there are a total of zero mentions of qmasterd in the docs.
qmasterd is indeed not running according to Activity Monitor
Also, "This Computer" option not available in Compressor
Reinstalled the entire suite twice, repaired privleges and cleared caches each time.
The first time I reinstalled, qmasterd did start up, but everything in Sys Prefs panel was greyed out, including Start Services button. The "This Computer" option was available, but the cluster (controlled by a G5 2.0DP) was not
After the second re-install, I was back to the same problem as before -- qmasterd would not startup.
If I manually start up qmasterd (i.e., double clicking the script file from usr/sbin) I can get it rumbling

well. Compressor and Qmaster should always have the
same version number.

Typically, the qmasterd error is because there was a
problem starting up. You can open a terminal, and
type "sudo SystemStarter start Qmaster\ services",
then look in console.log and see what the error was
if it didnt start up.
I will try this after I get my current job out. Once I manually start qmasterd, everything works as before, which is to say, sub-optimally, but it works

Several troubles after update InDesign CC to InDesign CC 2014

Hello,
Since i updated all the company Adobe InDesign CC to Adobe InDesign CC 2014 a lot of files started to get corrupted and the software doesn't seems to work well. For a several times i had to reinstall the software in some machines, i had lose the preferences and for a couple times the InDesign just not open correctly and get closed right before. Last day i had to delete all the user's account information at c:\ and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE ->SOFTWARE->Microsoft->Windows NT-> Current Version->ProfileList at the machine to fix a problem that came for the second time in a month at the company . However, in Adobe InDesign CC i did not had the same problem. None of them. Some one have the knowledge of any instability on this version?
All the machines have Dell motherboard, Core i3, 6Gb with ATI Radeon HD 4550 video card or better. it couldn't be hardware.
I'm the I.T. guy here and it's making me work twice as normal .

as I've said, there is several problems but the most inconvenient is the constant file corruption. When it is the problem we usually get it back to a last version or slit the file in blocks of page to see if the problem is some linked image or some thing else like it. With InDesign CC we had problems with folders permission because of long path names.
when the problem is with InDesign, at the first we make a system repair. if the problem persist, we reinstall the software. it is the usual, but as I've said, it is not a single problems. is seems to be unstable or something. that's what I am looking for: there is someone that know about a real instability in the InDesign CC 2014 or it should be something else?
we stay with the latest version of InDesign CC installed in all machines, could be software conflict? we do not use it anymore, but if the problems persist we'll going back to this. what do you guys recommend?
