  • Context node is empty after upload a pdf

    Hi all,
    I met a problem:
I did a pdf-upload web dynpro application and when I upload a pdf file into this.
the pdf is shown correctly, but, I just found the node which is bounded with the interactive form is empty.
I search the sdn and found this method:
    WDInteractiveFormHelper.transferPDFDataIntoContext.
I put this in my upload action like this:
    WDInteractiveFormHelper.transferPDFDataIntoContext(wdContext.currentContextElement().getData(),wdContext.nodePerson());
    But after redeploy it,
It has no effect. The node is still empty.
I am confused.  Is there any other solution about this?
    Thank you!
    Best Regards
    delma

    Hi Delma,
Have you checked the mapping of the Context Binary Attribute to which PDFSource is mapped for IF is proper?
If you are using 2 views, one for upload and other for Display, then map the PDFSOURCE beetween these 2 views.
For getting the binary data, try with the code below:
                   byte[] arrFileBuf = new byte[wdContext.currentContextElement().getPdfSource().length];
                   arrFileBuf = wdContext.currentContextElement().getPdfSource();
ArrFileBuf will contain the binary data (your PDF).
    Hope this helps!!
    Regards,
    Arafat

  • Error when i try to upload a Folio in the Folio Producer.

When i try to upload a Folio in the Folio Producer i receive this message:
"An error has occurred while trying to publish your folio. We could not start this operation. Please try again later."
I need a solution guys, please?

When I've received this error in the past, two things worked to resolve it:
1 - Close and reopen the Folio Builder panel
2 - Quit and restart  Indesign
My problem has gone away since I updated to CC 2014.

  • Uploading folio in Folio Producer

    Hi everybody there,
I'm working wiht InDesign CS6 and when I go ahead with uploading my folio in the Folio Producer I get the message (translated from Italian): one or more source files are missing from one or more article layout).
The verification check gives me the green light, in the link panel everything seems to be ok...
    I'm stuck.
    Help!
    Diwans

Check this link which shows you how to structure files: http://blogs.adobe.com/indesigndocs/2012/07/structuring-files-for-dps.html
You might have moved the source file (Maybe from one folder to another) which may be causing this.

  • Api for uploading folio to Folio Producer

    Hi There
I am looking into whether i is possible to create a folio file and upload it to the Folio Producer without using InDesign.
    1) Are there an api available for uploading folios to the Folio Producer?
         - Either through a web interface or by scripting InDesign?
    2) Is there any documentation available for the folio format,
If neither of theese is availble currently, are there any plans in this direction in the future?

They aren't currently available. We hope to due this in the future for integration by editorial workflow systems providers and advertising portals.

  • Folio Producer tools and problems after updating to 1.1.2

Folio Producer tools for digital publishing suite has been updated to 1.1.2. Donot log in with a message. "An error has occurred while communicating with the server. Could not test Folio Builder and server compatibility. Please check your network connection and try logging into the panel again." Message that pops up.Work environment is Windows 7, Adobe InDesign 5.
1.1.1 version did not have any problems after the update, the problem occurred.
I wonder what has to be resolved.
During the following posts in the same case shows the problem has beenresolved with the people saw a wonder.

I have the same problem (as explained at length in this thread), with the Folio Builder 1.1.2 update using InDesign CS5 under Windows XP. I can even sign in to CS Live services within InDesign, but opening the Folio Builder panel then produces the same error that you're getting.
The only workaround is to uninstall DPS and then re-install it step by step, stopping after the second patch. Do not install the latest Folio Builder because it does not work under Windows, as far as I can see.

  • Uploaded to the DSP folio producer - what next?

    Hi all,
I made two folios sizes, Iphone, and an ipad format. It also could have been an Android size. Shouldn't matter.
I updated everything to the DSP. The two are listed in the Organizer. All the required fields are filled in and I can hit the Publish button.
So far so good, no errors. When I switch over to the "Publish Requests", I see a  list for my iphone folio and my iPad folio. But that is it.
No comes the question: What do you do, when the folio is produced? Where is the app making stuff?
Also, when I am in the organizer and open a folio, I do not see the pages, I only see a header that I can drag back and forth.
Update: OK, I got this one. You have to use jpg or png not pdf. This can only be selected when you  create a folio. The panel that opens up the "default format" is set to pdf. You have to change this. Strange.
Also, I am working with a windows PC. With a paid CC account.
    Any suggestion is welkom.
    Thanks in advance.
    Dan

If you are using Creative Cloud you don't use Folio Producer at all, nor do you use "Publish".Inside InDesign, in the Folio Builder panel, select your folio and open the flyout menu and select Create App.
Note that as a CC customer you can only build iPad applications. We do not support Single Edition apps for iPhone.
You may find our publishing guide for Single Edition helpful, you can read it at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ppcompdoc/Step_by_step_guide_to_dps_se.pdf.

  • Folio Producer _Export to Desktop

Windows XP (soon to be Windows 7)
    InDesign CS5.5
    Fully updated.
Only downloaded Extensions for Folio Builder today.
I made a sample Folio and all went well.
    Uploaded to the Folio Producer.
After some rigmarole - I got it Published.
Then I went to Export the file to the desktop...
    The file finished exporting.
A temp file appeared on my computer.
Then it disappered - no file shown.
I checked hidden folders and file size of the desktop before and after export.
    Nothing is being Exported.

Whatever is available on the export.
It says Export Folio to Desktop
When I click that I get a dialog box.
    I click Export
    And select a location
    And nothing happens.

  • An update is required to use Folio Builder.  Please click here to download the Folio Producer tools.

    Hello,
I'm using CS 5.5, Mac OS 10.8.4. I've spent the last two nights trying to figure this out but I am really stuck this time... I think the issue I'm having is similar to IDEAMAN1 but I got lost on his advice after trying some stuff out, so help would be greatly appreciated!! (I'm only medium-level tech savvy...)
Trying to create my first epublication. Downloaded FolioPanel v26 and installed it, then FolioProducerTools v27 and installed it. Realised I had stuffed it up so uninstalled both using the uninstaller. Re-downloaded FolioProducerTools v27, FoiioPanel v27 and installed in that order and popup said the updates were ready to go. Opened InDesign and folio builder panel said "An update is required to use Folio Builder.  Please click here to download the Folio Producer tools.". The link brought me to http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=172&platform=Macintosh which is where I downloaded the original files anyway.
So I've tried uninstalling, restarting the computer, trashed preferences, closed CS5.5ServiceManager, reinstalling heaps of times and not sure what I should try next. Please help!! Thanks!!!!

That notification is often a bug.
I get it regularly when I launch InDesing while connected to my Thunderbolt Display.
If I disconnect my Macbook from the Display, relaunch InDesign it works fine - reconnecting to Thunderbolt display after this also still allows the Folio Producer tools to load properly.

  • Folios Not Appearing in the Folio Producer

Neil Enns - Adobe - branching this issue into a new discussion from original over at:
Re: Use Preview on Device for Android on Mac - how to make it working?
Our issues of not being able to preview on android seem to be caused by an issue with our folio producer.
Currently we are only seeing a single old folio in the producer, none of the new folios we have created this year are appearing in our producer.
We have tested logins etc. but we really only have one email associated with all of our DPS accounts, and this was the only account we could successfully log with. Even clicking the "Folio Producer" option in the folio builder panel menu only displays that single folio.
When creating our folios, we have never checked the "Create Offline Folio" option.
From what I have read, it sounds like the folios should be automatically uploaded to the producer. Is that correct?
Aside from login / credential issues is there anything that would prevent our folios from appearing in the producer??
(Certificates or provisioning or anything like that?)
    Thanks in Advance.

Sorry... just thought I would just be super clear on some of the details.
    1) Logins are all consistent, across the board. - DPS App (InDesign) / Builder Panel / Content Viewer / Folio Producer -  We only have a single account that will actually allow us to log in to all these services, so as far as I can tell it's not a log in issue.
    2) Folios have all been produced as "online" ie. when we create the folio, we are NOT checking the "Create Offline Folio" option. (This is un-checked as the default)
Screencaps of folio builder panel menu and folio producer web interface attached.

  • Folio added to Folio Producer by 'delegate' account not visible to 'master' account

    Hi there,
A recently created 'delegate' account has uploaded a folio to Folio Producer, the folio is visible when logged in (to FP) as that delegate account. However, when I access the Folio Producer using the master account for this DPS license, the folio doesn't show - have we misunderstood/done something wrong?
      Thanks,
    Toby

The folio is uploaded in delegat account and not in master acount.
It will only show in delegate account. If you want you can share folio with master account.

  • Folio Producer

Hi I am new to DPS, I have created my account, now from indesign cs6 Folio builder when to publish my magazine in Folio producer... says there are no posts, seems not connect my soft to the server. what should I do? I have to pay to create my app? Many Thanks - Gastón

    Hi,
I'm not 100% sure of what you are trying to do. Here is a link to the DPS Help Articles Digital Publishing Suite Help | Digital Publishing Suite Help.  You should also take a look at Bob Bringhurst DPS Tips DPS Tips HTML5 Examples and DPS Tips on the App Store on iTunes. These should get you started.
    The basic DPS work flow:
1 - create your articles in Indesign
    2 - add them to a folio
3 - test and share with clients and team via Content Viewer
After you finish testing your folio, you will be able to produce a single edition, iPad only version for the Apple App Store with a current Creative Cloud account. It will be discontinued after 1 May 2015.
If you can be a bit more specific about your problem, you will be able to get a clearer answer.

  • Share a folio from folio producer

    Hi, i write from Italy,
I created my first folio with Indesign 5.5 and I uploaded in my folio producer.
I shared a folio with a friend (IPAD2) but clicking on the link included in the email, Safari displays the message "Unsupported Browser" and my friend can not see the folio with "Adobe Content Viewer."
    What is the problem?
    thanks
    Daniele

    Daniele,
Your friend shouldn't try to open the link in Safari. Instead, he/she should download Adobe Content Viewer from Itunes Store, login into it with his/her Adobe ID, and the shared folio will show up in the viewer.

    Tomek

  • Folio Producer Editor: Missing or unable to load layout

I have an ongoing problem.  I have rebuilt from scratch the folio and article of my app multiple times, but once I view the folio in the Folio Producer Editor I receive the error "Missing or unable to load layout."  The folio and articles get loaded to the Adobe Content Viewer on my computer and iPad with no problem.  The app looks and works great. When viewed from the online Folio Producer Editor, I continue to get the error.  I am debating the idea of moving forward to publishing the app, since the app works well everywhere else.  Does anybody know if I will encounter an error later, because of this error?
I read an earlier forum post that asked the question about connections.  I am using a standard wifi connection with download speed of 8.46 Mbps and upload speed of 4.45 Mbps.  Would this cause a problem?

I had this issue. When you are initially setting up your folio, you are given a choice between landscape, portrait, or both orientations. I had set it as both as I had originally intended to do both, but later decided to do landscape only. Unfortunately you only are given this choice in the beginning. I only created horizontal/landscape orientation (insert what ever orientation you used) and needed to click on the horizontal view in order for it to pull it up correctly. It doesn't automatically recognize what orientation is required to view the app when  you do not have the other created yet. The buttons for the orientation are just to the left of the Thumbnail size adjustment slider. If you only produced one orientation (landscape or portrait), you'll need to click on the appropriate view in order to see your layout correctly. My solution was to go back and create a new folio choosing landscape only orientation and repopulating it. Hope this helps. Perhaps all these kinks will be worked out in the future.
