Follow an iphone on pc map

I used to be able to follow an iphone by enabling an app on the iphone and following it on a windows pc. It was realtime not "Find My iPhone". I would like to do the same for iPad to help direct someone while driving. Does such an app exist?

Iphone 5s why map road cannot be determined

i'm useing iphone 5s when i use the map i can't get the directions it's showing message( A route to the nearest road cannot be determined ) say how it's work

Follow these steps:
Get directions
Note: To get directions, iPhone must be connected to the Internet. To get directions involving your current location, Location Services must also be on.
Get directions. Tap , enter the starting and ending locations, then tap Route. Or choose a location or a route from the list, if available. Tap to select driving or walking directions, or to use an app for public or other modes of transportation such as Uber.
If a location banner is showing, directions to that location from your current location appear. To get other directions, tap the search field.
If multiple routes appear, tap the one you want to take.
Hear turn-by-turn directions: (iPhone 4s or later) Tap Start.
Maps follows your progress and speaks turn-by-turn directions to your destination. To show or hide the controls, tap the screen.
If iPhone auto-locks, Maps stays onscreen and continues to announce instructions. You can also open another app and continue to get turn-by-turn directions. To return to Maps, tap the banner across the top of the screen.

That means that if you use online maps, it will consume data. If you're on WiFi, no worries. If you are on cellular data, then it will eat into your cellular data plan.

Send to iPhone from Apple Maps not working!

I'm sure this question has been discussed many times here, but yet I'm posting it again because I didn't find an answer for the issue I'm facing.
I installed Mavericks yesterday and was testing the 'Send to iPhone' feature of the Apple Maps. Clicking the Share button did display my iPhone, and the maps did its animation of swooshing the screen to my iPhone. But, I didn't receive anything on my iPhone. No notifications. My iPhone is running iOS 7.0.3 and has iCloud enabled and everything else syncs between my iPhone and Mac (like Reminders, Calendars, Notes etc), but not Maps. I don't know why.. I predominantly use Google Maps on my iphone, but I thought this would be a cool feature with Apple Maps.. Oddly, I don't even see Apple Maps in the notification center.. I don't know why that is.. I have enabled Apple Maps within the location services, but this app couldn't be seen within the notification center (not even in the Do Not Include list of Notification center).
Can someone help me with this. Also, if you could let me know why I don't see Apple Maps in the notification center, that would be greatly helpful..

FWIW: I've only tried it once and I saw nothing on the iPhone to indicate it had received anything, but when I went into the bookmarks area of Maps, the address I had sent was there. Is this how it's supposed to work -- or should there be a notification appear on-screen?

I bought a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee using Uconnect and it won't read my text message out loud.

iPhone does support the bluetooth MAP profile as long as it is iPhone 4 and later. Refer to article below for further supported profiles.

The article also states that certain profiles have different responses to different devices and that is determined on both sides (the Jeep software and the iPhone). Depending on the software that Jeep is running it may have limited usability with the iPhone. Best thing to do is first, update the iPhone and see if that helps. If that does not work, remove the Jeep as a device from the Bluetooth Menu in the iPhone and re-add it. Third, get in contact with Jeep or uConnect to see if the iPhone is supported with the MAP profile. If it is, see if they can assist in getting it working correctly. A lot of car dealers will also help in getting it working.

If you open google maps and enter a destination it will ask you if you want to use the current location as a start point.
I have just tried this and it knew where I was. Was that what you were wanting it to do?
I have used google maps on 2 occasions now to get me to my destination when lost and it has known where I was both times and guided me there!

You will need to delete that iCloud account on the device, then create a new one and login with the alternate AppleID.

3G Iphone freezes in maps and directions

My 3G iphone freezes when I use Maps and directions and when I use my camera sometimes. Restarting helps for a short time.
It is up to date. Is this because Apple is not updating 3G's as often as newer phones?

Congratulations on your new iPhone! Thank you for also providing the details of the issues you are experiencing with your iPhone.
I recommend following these steps for issues like this (you can skip 4 because it does not relate to the issue you are experiencing):
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on),reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.

IPhone 5 "places" map in photos app only showing very first photo taken.

I got my iPhone 5 three days ago and have taken 20 something or so photos on the camera. Location services is enabled for the camera and photos, yet the only photo showing up on the "places" map of the photo app is the very first photo I took, right after buying the phone. I have no clue why none of the other photos are showing up in the places map & would appreciate any help making them all show up on the map.

I have just returned from a two month 14,500km Kimberly's and Red Centre trip, and found to my absolute disappointment that all of my iPhone 5 photos had a horrid blueish tinge.
a) by chance, I found when fiddling with iPhoto Edit that on the photos with this tinge, that the Revert to Original button was highlighted.
Click on that button, and the photo colour profile was magically restored.
b) OK, but how do I proceed now; select every photo, and select Edit, Revert to Original for every one? I have 600 plus photos to fix.
I began looking for a method of doing a Batch Change, which I have used in the past to adjust the time [and date] of photos imported from my wife Olympus SZ-14, and bingo, found the Photos, Revert to Original button in the top menu bar drop down.
It worked a treat. I was able to select all the effected photos [in fact did a Ctlr a on the entire collection], and all 600 plus were restore in a few minutes, withthe click of one button.

Stolen iPhone, found on map, but no sound!

Ok so I just located my stolen iPhone on me.com, and on the map I can see it is in someones garden. However, I cannot make it sound by pressing "Display message/sound" on the me.com page. Why? Because I first pressed "lock phone" on the me.com page?
Is there anyway I can make it make a noise? I tried calling my phone, but now no signals go through, the answering machine goes on directly (probably because I pressed lock).
Any ideas????

I just logged into me.com and found my iPhone. Then I put it in airplane mode, and tried to refresh the me web page, and you're right, it spun for awhile, then came back with the last location.
I suppose in some ways that makes sense, so you would at least know the last location where the device was actually able to be found. The fact that it has not updated likely just means someone found it and turned it off, or has moved it somewhere with no 3G or wifi available?
Check it periodically to see if it crops back up - good thing you locked it. Anyone who has it now can still restore it as new and use it, but that will wipe out all your personal info by doing so.
Sorry - maybe it will pop up again on the map.

Prevent iphone 3G gps/maps from going on standby

Just asking because I can't believe this essential feature is not available; I can't find the setting to tell Maps to prevent the iPhone 3G from going into Standby whilst the app is active and running. Obviously if you're in the car trying to use Maps for GPS navigation, you have to keep tapping the screen to keep the phone from standing by. It's a smooth and brilliant app, but for the purposes of navigation this renders it somewhere between very frustrating and completely useless. I'm just hoping I've missed the option somewhere, as it's disappointing to think that so much attention to detail has gone into this phone only to find the blindingly obvious has been omitted. Same for things like a hide keyboard button in some of the default apps (ie SMS). It's just.... missing.
I know I can just turn off automatic standby in the iPhone settings, but that's a poor solution! Is there an option to disallow auto standby for Maps, and if not, how can we lobby/submit suggestions for it to be included in the next firmware update?? Being able to keep the backlight from dimming would make sense as well.

The Maps program is not designed for turn-by-turn in motion directions, like a Garmin, etc.
As you know, you can set the Auto lock to never, which would accomplish what you want.

IPhone application with maps & map routes

I am developing an iPhone application whose one of the feature is drawing routes on map. My application has support for iOS4+ which means it has to support maps on iOS6 as well.
I am using sample code from https://github.com/kadirpekel/MapWithRoutes to draw routes.
But this has used google's unofficial API "https://maps.google.com/maps". On surfing i found that to make these url work on iOS6 just use "https://maps.apple.com/map. This works fine on ios6 as well as previous iOS. I tried sample & everything works fine on ios 6 as well as ios 4 & ios 5.
Only I want to know, has anyone used this url before. Is this the correct solution to my problem. Will my application be accepted successfully at submission time?

Only Apple knows if a solution will be accepted or not. If you are using any method other than Apple's official MapKit, then you are playing with fire.
