Follow-up: From Leads/Opportunities to Activities

HI,
We have configured the follow-up Activities from Leads/Opportunities in CRM. We created a standalone PCUI BSP iView for Activities and assigned ACTIVITYCRM object type to our Role.
Leads to follow-up Opportunities is working but from Leads/Opportunities to follow-up Activities is NOT working. Standalone Activities is working though directly from the menu.
Any input/thought will be appreciated.

Please check the follow the below points.
1. SPRO -> CRM -> Layout of user Interface -> Navigation (URL generation) -> Assign Object Method to Role. (Check your role and object with Portal Role)
2. Add "CRM_URL_BUFFER_OFF" = "X" Parameter in SU01 for the user.
3. If you assigned many roles to the user in CRM check the Priority.

Can not create follow up transaction FS Quotation from Lead in Interaction

Dear All,
We have requirement wherein IC agent should be able create FS Quotation (Transaction type FSO1) from Lead transaction type in WEB UI.
I have made all the necessary cutomization for copy control. FS Quotation is also maintained for all chanel.
Its work fine in CRM Online. I can create FS Quotation from Lead transaction type but in WEB UI when I click on Follow up button from Lead transaction pop will appear but I can not see FS Quotation in pop up window.
What I found after investigation is that transaction type with Financial Contract as Leading business category can not be available for follow up from Lead in web ui but available in CRM online. When I change the leading business category to another one same transaction type can be seen for Follow up from Lead in web ui.
Please let me know if you have any suggestion or faced similar kind of issue.

Hello Pankaj,
Yes, I have discovered this behavior as well. It seems to be documented in SAP Note 1172066. Apparently only the four following category classes are allowed:
'A' : Interaction Log
'F' : Appointment
'G' : E-Mail
'H' : Task

Category ID value display (in pop-up)when creating follow-up Oppt from Lead

System - SAP CRM 7.0 EHP 1
At the time of Lead creation the USER might not know the exact product
which the customer will buy. Hence, the user should put the Category
of the products in a Lead
In out scenario, we are using Category ID (say ABC_12) and also the
products in a Lead transaction.
When we create the FOLLOW-UP from Lead to Opportunity, on the
pop-up where we see the list of products, their quantity, but NOT THE
CATEGORY ID which we have mentioned in the LEAD
Why is it so? The user should see all the line items in the selection
pop-up when we create the opportunity as a follow-up from Lead

Copy Dates from Lead to Task

Hi All,
I am trying to implement BADI CRM_COPY_BADI while creating follow up from LEAD to TASK , where I need to copy LEAD_END date of u2018Leadu2019 to DUE_DATE of u2018Tasku2019.
I am trying to put the code in IF_EX_CRM_COPY_BADIDATES but the debugger does not stop at this method where as for IF_EX_CRM_COPY_BADIORDERADM_H it stops.
Could you please help me in understanding why the DATES method is not called on creating TASK followup from LEAD, whereas DATES method gets called when creating followup for Activity.
Or may be if this does not work then I need to copy the dates using CRMV_EVENT, or is there any other workaround.

Thanks for the guidance.
After debugging I found that the Date types in LEAD and TASK are different. That is in TASK I want to set the 'ORDERPLANNED' type and this is not there in the LEAD date profile. So the badi DATE method wo't be called.

1. I am trying to create CRMV_EVENT and set the 'ORDERPLANNED' date using FM 'CRM_APPT_MAINTAIN_MULTI_OW' , but this does not set the DUE_DATE for TASK.
2. in the BADI inside IF_EX_CRM_COPY_BADI~ORDERADM_H method , trying to use    FM 'CRM_APPT_MAINTAIN_MULTI_OW' but this sets the assignment block planned date's not the header value for Due_date.

Stop document flow from Lead to Activities

Hi gurus,
Got a very simple question. I have created a bunch of custom activities. Now all of them should be accessible to Opportunity but only some of them should be accessible from the Lead.
At this point all these activities are available (document data flows from Lead to all Activties) to the Lead. When a user creats a Lead and tries to create a follow-up activity from here, he should not view certain Acitvities (only the Opportunity should be able to access them). I haven't done anything (copy control etc) specific for this to happen, hence I do not know how to stop this happening

In SAP Standard you can always create any type of activity as a follow-up transaction from any transaction. The copy control customizing only is valid for non-activities. So if you want to exclude some activities from being created as a follow-up transaction in certain szenarios you need to modify the standard I am afraid.

Remove authorization to delete Opportunities and Activities

The requirements are that the user can create and change Opportunities and Activities , but not Delete Opportunities and Activities .
I did generate a PFCG role from the Business role , but cannot find the correct object to deactivate/remove from the PFCG role

Thank you , but the "Trash Can" in the WebUI is still accessible , the user gets an error log , but is asking from the "Trash Can" to be grayed out . Can we do that ? I was looking at Authorization Object UIU_COMP , but could not find a related activity .

Sales Opportunities and Activities Import

We need to import the attached into SAP as Sales Opportunities and related Activities.
I believe the mappings are roughly as follows:
Opportunities

What I canu2019t see is how to link the activity to an opportunity.

To link Sales Opportunities with Activities, you need to assign OCLG.parentType = 97 and OCLG.parentID=OOPR.OpprId

Hi Naveen,
You have to do it in Copy control customizing..
SPRO->CRM->Transactions->Basic Settings->Copying Control for Business Transactions->Define Copying Control for Transaction Types..
here you specify you Source transaction as LEAD and Target transaction as OPPURTUNITY and give some arbitarory filter value.
Then use this filter value in CRM_COPY_BADI implementation.

While populating the field catlog do the following thing to   avoid zeros.
wa_fieldcat-tabname = 'I_OUTPUT'.    " Curr
wa_fieldcat-fieldname = 'FWAER'.
wa_fieldcat-seltext_l = text-023.
wa_fieldcat-no_zero = 'X'.
APPEND wa_fieldcat TO i_fieldcat.
CLEAR wa_fieldcat.

Poor follow up from Customer Service

Customer Service has very poor follow up. Multiple times I have called with phone not properly working and the initial person was not able to help. After an hour of being on the phone with him he said he would have to have someone else call me back. About 6 months later I called back and this time I waited until they could get me to the right person, but it took another hour plus, however, this time they helped.
The thing that brings me to this comment however is the fact that I called last month when I noticed my usage was going over and tried to get them to up my usage plan. The customer service lady said that because the billing cycle was closed they could not. I know they have done this before and why I went over my minutes when within the prior year I did not even come close baffled me. We discussed the issue with no resolution and finally I just hung up on her. She called right back and said that she emailed her supervisory and that her supervisor will be getting back with me. Yep, you guessed it, no follow up from supervisor. Bill went through, I paid a ridiculous amount for overage and have become a very dissatisfied Verizon customer. Trapped now that I have new phone, but in 2 years I will be gone from Verizon after being with them for over 10+ years. Guess sometimes the little guys get lost. Good luck all!

Moved iTunes library to an ext hard drive to make space on my int drive... Followed steps from apple. Now I cannot access my music... It says: "File could not be used because the original file cannot be found. Would you like to locate it?"
I moved my iTunes library to my external hard drive some time ago and I followed the directions listed here on the apple support page. It did copy my library and now is on my hard drive... I can open iTunes and use it to sync all of my devices but I would like to play my music... I can see all of my music files but can not play them if I click on an album or song it says the following: "(file name) could not be used because the original file cannot be found. Would you like to locate it?" I click locate but do not know where to go from there? I need a way to access all files and not to hunt down one at a time on my hard drive... I am pretty sure I deleted the original library to make space on my internal drive which was the reason for moving it. I have tried and tried to fix it and do not have a lot of time to do so with a one and two year old at my house who do not like it whenI sit down at my computer. What to do??? Any help is much appreciated!!!

See Make a split library portable. Move all of the bits of the library together in the the correct shape and it should work. Or undo exactly what you did and then start over.
If you're a former Windows user don't try merging two folders together that have the same name by dropping one into the same folders as the other, as that goes badly on a Mac.
