Follow up on importing

Hello to the Mac family,
I think I am getting closer to understanding this.
If we get the Streamclip, it is an app that will open. Then when he hooks up the camera or card reader
he imports to Streamclipand then that will export it as a DV Stream. This will create a file that any version of I-Movie can open.
I think I almost have it figured out with the kind help of QuickTime Kirk.
The reason I posted new is I had marked my previous post as answered but then realized I was still a bit confused.

Simply take your header image out of the body background CSS.
Insert image directly into the HTML document. Insert > Image...
Once you do that, you'll have no trouble using the hot spot tools.

Steps to be followed in Export/Import

Can anyone help me out defining the exact steps to be followed in exporting and importing the ODI objects?
I have exported the master and work repository. I created a new master repository by importing the zip file. I can see the architecture neatly imported into the topology. The problem starts when I try to import the work repository. It keeps throwing the integrity constraint error. I export/import folder-wise as the current work repository is pretty huge!!
It will be of great help if some one could explain the steps to be followed while export/import in ODI

It is typical of ODI to throw those errors, as the documentation is not quite comprehensive about how to do it.
Here are a few guidelines:
(i) Topology (master repository) should be exported n imported first. Then the models and finally the projects and the variables. Also, work repository export may not work if you try to export whole work repo at one go using File---->Export---->Work Repository !
So the best thing is File--->Export---->Multiple Export----> then drag all ur objects into the box and check the "zip" checkbox
Create separate zips for Models and separate for Projects and so on
And import Model zip before Project zip in your new repository
OR
(ii) Use database schema export and import. This has worked the best for us.
And I think it is the most flawless way of doing export import because you dont lose any objects and dont get any integrity constraint errors etc
Just export the master repository & work repository schemas and then import them in you new database

Error message: "the following files were imported but could not be renamed"

Trying to import photos and keep getting error "the following files were imported but could not be renamed." Any help would be appreciated...using Lightroom 3 still ( I know I know) and importing into lightroom with a backup copy to computer harddrive.

Peter I am also experiencing the same error message. Here is my situation:
I am using Lightroom 4.
I have duplicated images across multiple harddrives.
I am trying to import these using 2 seperate 2 terrabyte hard drives ( 1 for lightrooom the other as my image backup drive).
I am using keywords and embedding the keyword into the new backup file name. Hopefully provide some organization.
I am using the MOVE option in my import process.
Have he images that were not renamed moved to the new backup drive? Are they they under the original file name?
I want to end up with a common lightroom catalog and single backup file structure as my photo repository.
What am I doing to trigger the above message and what suggestions might you have with regards to my lightroom organization approach?
Any insight and recommendations to my situation would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks, Jay

I have followed instructions for importing favorites from Internet Explorer, but they do not show up in Bookmarks menu as shown in the support instructions.

I just downloaded Firefox 3.6 and followed the instructions for importing Favorites from Internet Explorer. Firefox said the import was successful, but the Favorites do not appear at the bottom of the Bookmarks menu (below "Mozilla Firefox") as shown in the Support instructions. Where can I access my Favorites?

You can usually find the imported IE Favorites in a folder ("From Internet Explorer") at the bottom of the Bookmarks Menu folder (Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks).<br />
If you can't find them in the "From Internet Explorer" folder then try this:
* Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html): File > Import and Export
* Import the HTML file in Firefox: Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML: From File

That error message has several possible causes, for details see [[Firefox is already running but is not responding]] or [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_in_use Profile in use - MozillaZine Knowledge Base].
In your case I would first check to ensure that Firefox can find the new profile. In the second link above, see the section entitled "Check the profile folder name and location".

Follow up question. importing audio

Hello,
thanks to all that responded to my question about importing audio from itunes to FCP5. I finally got it onto my timeline, but before I did that I burned it to a cd, and used that to import it to FCP. Probably more steps than necessary, but I finally was able to get into the timeline that way. THE PROBLEM HOWEVER, is that the audio sounds scratchy, or slightly staticy (wierd word) I burned it in 48kHz and 16 bit AIFF,as you all recommended, but it still sounds crappy. Anymore suggestions?? Could disc space be the problem?

When you buy a song, or a CD, you bought the right to listen to that song to your hearts content. Make as many copies as you want, but only for YOU. Your song. Play it at a party..fine.
But put marry that song with video, and you have entered new territory. To do that you need to buy additional rights. Just like you'd need to buy rights if you play music at a wedding, or play music for people to listen to when they are on HOLD at your business.
Adding it to family video is "technically" illegal. Will the FBI hunt you down...well, after the government went after a lady for owing $1.16 in taxes by siezing her house, I wouldn't be surprised.

Why would the following files not import because they could not be read?

You may not have changed the destination folder permissions. It may have always been "read only or you're selecting the wrong folder in the Import Destination path. It helps us to help you if you provide information about your system OS,etc.

Many following FireFox bookmark import

I've done this three times, all with the same result. Installed Safari 4; everything runs great until I import my FireFox bookmarks, after which I can't open new tabs, some sites won't launch at all, overall very slow to load during launch and new pages, lots of spinning beach balls.
Each time I delete everything Safari (app, preferences, etc.), reinstall, launch, runs perfectly, import FireFox bookmarks, disaster. Permission repair, etc., doesn't help.
Ideas, anyone?

I suspect there may be corruption in the Firefox file.
Perhaps exporting from Firefox, then importing to Safari will give you a different result. First open Firefox. Go to the Bookmarks>Organize Bookmarks option. When the Bookmarks Manager opens, click on the Star shaped icon and select "export html" and save to your desktop. By default the file is named bookmarks.html
Then, open Safari. File Menu>Import and navigate to the file you just saved and select it.
This creates a separate collection in Safari's Bookmarks manager. Let's see if this alters the behavior from what you have been seeing.

My iPhoto 11 is missing several events following last import, however I can see the missing events using Aperature.

Hi I'm missing several events in my iPhoto library following my last import. If I open up Aperature to access the library I see all of my events, does this mean my library is corrupt? I've already tried repairing the iphoto database, rebuilding the thumbnails, and rebuilding permission all without success. My last option is rebuild the database. Has anyone seen this issue?

I don't use Aperture so don't know how it works in relation to viewing the same library as iPhoto. There may be some cache that Aperture is viewing.
You can also try this:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete the contents the following folder:
User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: For Mavericks, 10.9, go to your Home folder and use the View ➙ Show View Options menu to bring the this window:
where you can check the Show Library Folder checkbox.

LR 5 "Some import operations were not performed." Following files not updated because could not be read

Having difficulty with LR5, can view photos on card while trying to import but receive following message "Some import operations were not performed." "The following files were not updated because they could not be read."

Check your destination folder in LR at the top right of the Import panel. LR cannot copy the photos there and so when it tries to import them they aren’t there and cannot be read.
In other words the “cannot be read” message indicates that photos cannot be written to the destination.

Import template defined in rtf file to another rtf file in BI Publisher

I have two RTF files:
(1) summary.RTF
(2) detail.RTF
detail.RTF has template named “subreport” with following syntax:

I am importing and calling this template in summary.RTF.

The report is working fine with template builder (like in Word “Load XML” and then preview and two RTF files are at my local machine).
Now,
I have created one report in BI Publisher(10.1.3.2) named “Summary” in folder named “Test” to deploy my report.
I have uploaded these two RTF to BI Publisher with name (1) summary & (2) detail.
But it’s not showing the report because of invalid import syntax.
I have tried following syntaxes for import,
<?import:http://bipapp:7777/xmlpserver/~development/Test/Summary/Summary.xdo?_xt=Detail?>
<?import:xdo:Detail.rtf?>

so, i have placed this URL in Summary.RTF.
Still it's giving error--> "Caused by: java.util.EmptyStackException"
If I remove the import and call to "subreport" template, then summary is displaying wihout detail part. Further if I run Detail.RTF then it is also running individually.
Now, I am thinking that the problem is with "?" (question mark symbol) in URL, so, I have tried another like below:

Importing the (active) Fix Asset with ◦Accumulated ordinary depreciation to Sap Business One 9

I'm trying to upload the Active Fix Asset to the SBO (no new).
for example:

Useful life :                48 (month)
Remaining Life:        12 (month)
APC(Historical cost): 10000
Accumulated Ordinary Depr.: 7500
So Value Balance: 1500
and Life Balance :     12 month

Records are not getting imported due to new line charactor in the field

Dear All,
I am trying to load a file into target but the import is failing. The error thrown is as below;
During the import of leads into CRMoD through loading the New lead/Step lead file received from CA, leads have not been imported and we encountered the following
error message:
"Import field 'LAST_NAME' had a blank value for the required Oracle CRM On Demand field 'Last Name'. This record was not imported. Please enter desired values for
the required fields and re-import this record."
Reason:
Leads are not imported due to an additional new line (Enter) character, which results in the subsequent lines not being picked up and the error of import failure.
Please help me to resolve this to remove the new line charactor in the field so that import succeeds..
By the way, I am working on ODI 11g.

While i was reading your post i remembered an issue that madded me. I don't know Oracle CRM, but a possible workaround could be to create a temporary Oracle table and load all data inside it. After that load in CRM only valid rows.
