Hi All
I need to configure Follow Up Article/Replacement Artcle.
I have done configuration Setting in SPRO
and Maintain articles in Easy Access (T.C - WRFFUART)
My Quesiton -
How do i check up..(Provide i check up in T.C - ME21N and VA01)
or any other configuration need to be done.....
or Could any one explain me step by step...this will be Help for me

Hi Vijai,
Me too having similar type of configuration in the replacement article. The configuration is setup. But when i create delivery sometimes the articles are getting successfully replaced and sometimes the substitution article is gettting locked. Have u ever faced this situation where in the substitution article is locked and under what circumstances it is happening.

Hi everybody,
Iu2019m using SAP Retail and I need to maintain Follow-Up and Replacement Articles.
Iu2019ve created the Follow-Up Categories in the customizing and Iu2019ve assigned replacement article to the original article in transaction WRFFUART.
Does anyone know how the subsequent process works? If I create a Purchase Order or a Sales Order to the original article, does the system automatically replace it by the replacement Article? Iu2019ve tested this but there was no substitution.

I am analysing the functions for Follow-Up and Replacement Articles in SAP Retail ECC 6.0 Ehp. 3. I created Substitution profiles (SPRO: Logistics u2013 General -> Material Master -> Retail-Specific Settings -> Settings for Follow-Up/Replacement Material -> Maintain Follow-Up Categories) and assigned replacement article to the original article in transaction (WRFFUART). I also activated Substitution Processing and Start Replacement logic in Background (SPRO: Logistics u2013 General -> Substitution Processing -> Activate/Process Substitution Processing).
I tested the process steps you posted (ME21N, VL10B, WSUBST_WORKLIST). There was no automatically substitution after creating the outbound delivery. And the transaction WSUBST_WORKLIST just shows u201CNo data available for selectionu201D.
I analysed the application and found the table WSUBST_WORKLIST. It handles the entries for substitutions. It was empty. When I fill the table manually with data and run the WSUBST_WORKLIST the outbound delivery and the purchase order have a new position with the follow-up article but the original article is still there, unchanged.
Why did the substitution not start automatically in background and why is the original article still in the purchase order and outbound delivery?
It is also interesting, that the material quantity changed. The purchase order includes five units of the original article and the substituted article has a quantity of eight. I guess the reason is a rounding value for procurement.
The ERP 2005 documentation on help.sap.com ([Assigning Follow-Up and Replacement Articles ERP 2005|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_02/helpdata/en/a2/7c936660dc4da09a3a1d08ee7eeca2/frameset.htm]) describes a conversation factor for the units of measure of the original article and substitution article for each assignment. In the ECC 6.0 documentation ([Assigning Follow-Up and Replacement Articles ECC 6.0|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/a2/7c936660dc4da09a3a1d08ee7eeca2/frameset.htm]) this is missing. In the system I also could not find any type of conversation factor for Follow-Up and Replacement Articles.
Is this option not available in ECC 6.0 or where can I find it?

Dear Folks,
Can anyone advice me what is the purpose of setting up a follow up or replacement article in SAP retail? I had set up a relationship between two article as follow up articles but when I create a PO for the original article, it doesn't get replaced by the follow up article.

I do not know this issue in retail but in manufacturing environment I've worked with this.
I guess you mean the follow-up setting that is possible both in material master (MRP 4) and in BOM. This subject is called 'Discontinuation' in SAP.
If you want to replace your material with a new one you can use this setting to make SAP understand that during planning it shouldn't create procurement proposal for the old material. So, you can set SAP that from the time the requirement will consume the stock of your old material SAP will apply the independent / depenedent requirement for the new material.
So, SAP considers the PIR / DepReq for the old material until the point the current stock of it covers them (the requirements); from that point SAP applies the requirements for the new one.
E.g.
old material stock: 50 pcs
requirements: 120 pcs
SAP assigns 50 pcs of the old material to 50 pcs requirement. 70 pcs of requirement will be applied to the follow-up material.
So, even though no PIR exists for the new material, the new material isn't in the BOM, SAP calculates with it!

I have followed Apple support Article HT4527 for moving itunes but have insufficient space on my new PC for the complete library of. How can I leave music on the external HDD but associate the content on my external HDD with my pc itunes when it is open?

I have followed the Apple Support Section Article HT 4527 and have moved itunes media onto an external Hard Drive. The complete file is 103GB in size.
I have downloaded the latest itunes onto my new PC.
When I follow the article and try moving the itunes file onto the new PC, I am informed that there is insufficient space on my new PC.
In any case, like my old system, I want to leave my music on the external HDD and just have the music library displayed in itunes when I click on the "Music" folder.
How can I get itunes on the new computer to interogate my external HDD to just list the library and leave the music on the external HDD?

you can do this by keeping the external hard drive connected and doing the following
-hold shift key down on computer while opening iTunes and a prompt will appear to choose a library
-select choose library, iTunes should bring up your explorer windows where you can search for the external HD
-after you find the external HD find the iTunes folder you just copied to it
-after opening the iTunes folder look for the file that says iTunes library.itl or if you can't see that extenstion just look for a document looking thing in the iTunes folder that shows up as a database file
-double click the database file and boom iTunes should load your library without having to copy it to the computer
PS: do make sure that if you are going to do it this way, make sure that the external HD is connected at all times, because if you don't then you will get exclamation marks next to your iTunes songs
double PS: if you are unsure how to find out if the iTunes library file is a database file just right click it and choose properties and under the type it should say database file

Recovery of PSE 5 catalogs following disk replacement

I have had to have our hard disk replaced.
Unfortunately we had a number of catalogs that had not been backed up. (No comments please)
I have recreated the file structure and therefore put all the pictures back in the correct place.
I appear to have 2 relevant catalog directories being
.............Adobe\Catalog Folders\My Catalog
.............Adobe\Catalogs
Having reloaded PSE 5, do I copy the old psa files to the relevant location (i.e. where the default My Catalog file is)?
(This is in Adobe\Catalogs)
Or do I have to recover the contents of both these directories?

Mc OS X 10.6.8 won't update after reinstall following HD replacement

My mid 2010 imac osx 10.6.8 won't update to match my apps which are all 10.7+ from backup. Just had my 1TB seagate HD replaced and had to reboot off my osx install disk which is 10.6.4. Performed a series of software updates but it now wont go beyond 10.6.8. Now none of my core apps work and i have no way to update. Ideas?

From 10.6.8 onwards now you downlaod updates from the App store. In this case you need to download 10.7 or 10.8. You can no longer download 10.7 from the app store as its no longer availiable, only 10.8 is.
So Im guessing you purchased 10.7 at some point form the app store. Now if 10.7 was still available you could just search for it on the app store and download it again for free. But its not! If you can you need to purchase 10.8 from the app store and downlaod it. From there these apps should work again. If however you can't download 10.8 from the app store as you Mac is out of date you will need to take it in to an Apple store.

Unable to update, reset or restore. I follow all KB articles, nothing.

I have tried updating, resetting, and restoring the iTouch. Three times I have tried the restore function (251.1 mg, 48 minutes each time), without effect. I have tried different computers, nothing. Since I can't get past that one image I can't try to register it as a new device.
If it means anything, the Summary Page says: Device: iPod; Capacity: N/A; Version: N/A; Serial No.: N/A.
Since the Summary Page can't seem to ID the device with any particularity, I'm afraid the drive has been somehow wiped.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try to delete the ipod software file located in user/library/iTunes/ipod software updates/ to make iTunes download a new copy when you connect in recovery mode. Maybe the file stored on your mac is damaged.

IPod Shuffle 4th Generation not charging or turning on - Warranty Replacement?

I have a 2GB iPod Shuffle 4th Generation that I just bought maybe 2 weeks ago at Target. It's been a great little thing to use in the car and just tonight it stopped charging from my computer and wouldn't turn on. I held down buttons, looked up solutions, attempted the reset, reset my computer, used a friend's cable, tried everything. It seems to just be a brick. I know it's under some kind of warranty and I haven't gotten it at all wet or dropped it.
Can I get it replaced at my local Apple Store free of charge? I do not have the receipt for it, and I bought it with a gift card. I don't believe I've yet registered it online.

I recently had my hard drive replaced and now iTunes won't allow me sync my iPhone without deleting all the media contents and replacing it with the existing library. Is there another way without erasing everything?

I have already backed up my iPhone, yet it still will not allow me to move the contents of my phone onto my computer. Rather, it wants to delete everything off of my phone and replace it with the contents on my iTunes. Is there a way I can integrate both my iTunes and iPhone? There used to be autofill on iTunes, but I can no longer find it.

Firefox 5.0.1 Sync is not working even after info replaced and device added again.

No errors were displayed so I followed guidance in articles "Firefox Sync is not working" (Uninstalled Sync add-on, updated Firefox on all devices, and Replaced Sync data) and "Replace your Sync information" which worked to get identical bookmarks on desktop and laptop. I used the desktop data as the sync data and added the laptop as a device. But when I change bookmarks on the laptop the changes do not sync with the desktop. I don't know what else to do.

In my frustration I decided to try XMarks, which is accomplishing my needs, but I'm concerned with this as a long-term solution because it was recently purchased by the "Last Pass" company, which disabled password sync. This is not a huge deal for me because I use 1Password, but I'm worried about XMarks somehow becoming incompatible with 1Password as the Last Pass company moves forward with encouraging people to use their password software instead. Since it is working now I'm hesitant to mess with it anymore. Does that sound reasonable or should I trash the XMarks add-on and reconfigure Firefox sync and make sure I click the Tools->Sync Now drop down to give Firefox sync another try? Pros/Cons?

I read the article and I find confusing info. In one paragraph it says Intel Macs use EFI and in the following paragraph It says "Any Intel Based Mac" can use Open Firmware*

Thank you for the question. The first thing you want to do is check your music library in iTunes to see if your media is present. If this media is there, then you can sync it back to the device. I have attached an article that shows you how to syncing this media to your iPhone. If the media is not present, you can download any past purchases to the computer by following the second article below.
