  • Mail.App shows me an rtx document with errors, then opens.

    This happens upon restarting the iMac. What email address do I use to send Apple the rtf document of my MacMail issues?

    Hello, Edward and thank you for your note.
    I read through the thread you mentioned and it seems that people are having a lot of problems with the iCloud clients, so we're not alone, but the unique issue in my case is the failing email address vs. the working perfectly email address.
    After reading your message tonight, I tried my setup again with the preferred Apple ID (the one without the "." between the names), and for the first time ever, IT WORKS. Mail app configured the servers both send and receive as p01-smtp.mail.me.com and p01-imap.mail.me.com. For the first time, I'm able to send and receive into the Mail app, create mailboxes, move messages into and out of mailboxes, keep Sent messages, etc.
    I had a 50-minute support chat with MobileMe support via ExpressLane on Monday afternoon. They couldn't resolve my issue but passed me on to escalation. I was told to expect to get an email from advanced support by this afternoon, but none has arrived. However, so far tonight -- and I will check again tomorrow several times before declaring victory -- it looks like something has been fixed on the Apple end to make things work.
    I will report back after I do some additional testing tomorrow to make sure the fix is real and is solid...and before I let my friend, the new Mac user, know the good news.

    Mike

  • Report RPTARQPOST - Document status with error

    Hi,
    We are using report RPTARQPOST to post the leave requests to infotype 2001.
    But we are having many records posted in infotype 2001, with the workflow status "Completed", but with the Document status "Error". What does that mean? What can cause this document status?
    Thanks in advance for your help.
    Best regards,
    Sónia Gonçalves

    Reports Server Queue Status is as follows
    The report terminated with error:
    REP-110: File Testbill.rdf cannot be opened. REP-1070: An error occurred while opening or saving a document. REP-0110: File Testbill.rdf cannot be opened. .
    By the way, i tried making the reports path length in registry very short as suggested by numerous people. But, nothing worked so far.

  • WORKAROUND: "A document with the name 'vnd.ms-excel' is already open"

    I'm posting this in the hope that it might help someone else (or that someone else might suggest a better solution)...
    I'm using the technique described in the Integrating Oracle Reports in Oracle Forms Services Applications white paper. Basically, this means using RUN_REPORT_OBJECT to generate a report, and then navigating to a URL of the form...
    http://<host>/reports/rwservlet/getjobid<n>?server=<name>...to show it.
    I had the requirement that some reports (with DESFORMAT=DELIMITEDDATA) needed to open in Excel, so for these reports I added the MIMETYPE command to the URL, so that it was of the form:
    http://<host>/reports/rwservlet/getjobid<n>?server=<name>&mimetype=application/vnd.ms-excelThis appeared to work, but only for one report at a time. I could generate one report this way, and when I navigated to its URL, the report would be displayed by Microsoft Excel within a new browser window as expected. However, if I left the browser window open, then generated a second report and navigated to its URL, a new, empty browser window was displayed, but a "Microsoft Excel" message box appeared with the following message:
    A document with the name 'vnd.ms-excel' is already open. You cannot open two documents with the same name, even if the documents are in different folders.
    To open the second document, either close the document that's currently open, or rename one of the documents.
    When I chose OK (the only button), the message box closed, but the new browser window remained empty.
    If Excel was already running to begin with, the message box was obscured behind other windows, and the new browser window remained empty and appeared to never finish loading (because it was waiting for a response from the message box). The message box only appeared if I explicitly navigated to Excel (for example, using the taskbar). When I chose OK, a "File Download" dialog appeared, followed by a message box that reported the following:
    Microsoft Excel for Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
    When I closed this message box, Excel shut down.
    I could not find this documented anywhere, but it appears as if Excel interprets the text after the last "/" in the URL as the file name. In my case, this was the same text every time (specifically "vnd.ms-excel"), which caused problems because Excel does not allow you to open two files with the same name.
    My workaround was simply to add the "JOBNAME=/<n>" command (where <n> is the job ID) to make the text after the last "/" unique (at least in my case). In other words, by using a URL of the form...
    http://<host>/reports/rwservlet/getjobid<n>?server=<name>&mimetype=application/vnd.ms-excel&jobname=/<n>...I was able to avoid the problem. For example, for job ID 123, the URL would be...
    http://<host>/reports/rwservlet/getjobid123?server=<name>&mimetype=application/vnd.ms-excel&jobname=/123...and Excel would interpret the file name as "123".
    Hope this helps.

    Thanks for posting, this solution worked!

  • Error when opening document with ECL control: INVALID_DATA

    Hi Gurus,
    I've tried to search the net for this problem but could not find anything and I'm stuck now.
    Description:
    we're using ECL to view attached documents (to POs etc.) which are stored through ArchiveLink on the content repository.
    when we try to open this document, time-to-time we get following error:
    Error when opening document with ECL control: INVALID_DATA
    Message no. SDV004
    by time-to-time I mean that when we try to open same attachment again it opens successfully (sometimes we need to re-open it 3-4 times to get it)
    what we've tried is to enlarge timeout for HTTP protocol (tx SMICM, from former 30 to actual 60) but only effect we got is that we're waiting for the error longer time
    It will be really great if anybody of you guys can give me an advice where the problem can be or where should I look and what to check
    Thanks,
    David

    Hi Christoph,
    thanks for tip, unfortunately this was already flagged, currently settings are:
    for Display Settings:
    yes - include ECL control
    use HTML control
    empty - maximum viewer wait time
    (do you think that setting some value for this could help)
    yes - deactivate generic object services in viewer
    no - doc display as dialog box
    yes - deactivate data provider cache
    Storage Settings:
    yes - always copy document class from document type
    yes - permit multiple assignment
    Thanks,
    David

  • Updating a document with category metadata using updateDocument(): error!

    I have studied the sample code and the API docs, and I feel pretty sure I am coding it according to the docs, but I cannot successfully update a document with category metadata. I always get a MetaDataSchemaInvalid exception.
    My process goes like this:
    1. Upload a new file, creating a new document publicobject.
    2. Create a CATEGORY_DEFINITION with all the metadata name/value pairs I wish to write.
    3. Call FileManager.updateDocument() with this CATEGORY_DEFINITION.
    My process differs from the docs in that I am first uploading the document, and then adding the metadata as a second step. I want to get it working this way to make my system more modular. I do not want to make my upload method dependent upon metadata attributes, and vice versa.
    Step 1 is working fine. The document is being uploaded to the right folder. Good to go.
    Step 3 is where I get the error. If the error is my fault, then it must be a result of what I do in step 2. The structure of my CATEGORY_DEFINITION must be messed up.
    Here is my code for creating the CATEGORY_DEFINITION. The Document class is my own entity that encapsulates the binary data for a document, as well as the metadata attributes that are to be assigned to the document once it is uploaded into Content Services. We don't need to worry about where the data comes from. Just assume the raw data is correct.
    public NamedValue[] newCategoryAttributeDefinition(Document document, String categoryDisplayName) throws WebserviceClientException {
    /* Get the category attribute name-value pairs as a 2-D array. */
    Map metadataMap = document.getMetadataParser().getAttributeNameMapping();
    List categoryDefinitionAttributeList = new ArrayList();
    for(Iterator i = metadataMap.entrySet().iterator(); i.hasNext();) {
    Map.Entry entry = (Map.Entry)i.next();
    String name = "CUSTOM_" + (String)entry.getKey();
    Object value = entry.getValue();
    if(value != null) {
    categoryDefinitionAttributeList.add(new Object[] { name, value });
    Object[][] categoryDefinitionAttributeArray = new Object[categoryDefinitionAttributeList.size()][];
    int index = 0;
    for(Iterator i = categoryDefinitionAttributeList.iterator(); i.hasNext();) {
    Object[] value = (Object[])i.next();
    categoryDefinitionAttributeArray[index++] = value;
    /* Create the NamedValue tree that describes this category's attribute values. */
    Long categoryId = new Long(getCategoryClassId(categoryDisplayName));
    NamedValue[] categoryAttributeDefinition = WebserviceUtils.newNamedValueArray(new Object[][] {
    { Options.CATEGORY_ID, categoryId },
    { Options.CATEGORY_DEFINITION_ATTRIBUTES, WebserviceUtils.newNamedValueArray(categoryDefinitionAttributeArray) }
    NamedValue[] categoryDefinition = WebserviceUtils.newNamedValueArray(Options.CATEGORY_DEFINITION, categoryAttributeDefinition);
    return categoryDefinition;
    And below is the resulting CATEGORY_DEFINITION, as seen in a jdb debugger.
    -- The OPT.CATEGORY_ID value is equal to the ID column in ODMV_SCHEMACATEGORY, otherwise known as the category class id.
    -- My OPT.CATEGORY_DEFINITION_ATTRIBUTES tree for this document has the 4 attributes that I want to set. The category has more than these 4 attributes; I am not populating every attribute. None of the attributes are required, and all are editable. I don't need to include every attribute in my CATEGORY_DEFINITION, even if the values are null, do I? Also, all the attribute names start with "CUSTOM_", which I believe is necessary - right?
    -- I am setting only the OPT.CATEGORY_ID and OPT.CATEGORY_DEFINITION_ATTRIBUTES. Am I missing some other required attribute?

    After building this CATEGORY_DEFINITION, I go on to attempt an update to the document with this information. Here is the method I call. I always fall into the catch(), and the error dump follows the code snippet. Unfortunately, the error doesn't tell me a lot about what's wrong. That's why I am asking for help in spotting any conspicuous errors in my CATEGORY_DEFINITION.

    1 – For an existing document, how do I determine what category instances have been applied to it and their attribute values
    FdkSession session = …;
    // Consider we have an existing item myDoc of type document
    Item myDoc = …;
    CommonManager cm = Managers.getCommonManager(session);
    AttributeRequest[] requestedAttributes = new AttributeRequest[]
      // The Categories associated with this Document, if any
    new AttributeRequest(Attributes.CATEGORIES,
      // sub attributerequest
      new AttributeRequest[] {
        // the actual attributes name/values for the category instance – returns a namedvalue array
        new AttributeRequest(Attributes.CUSTOM_ALL,null),
        // the actual category class for the category instance – returns an item
        new AttributeRequest(Attributes.CATEGORY_CLASS_OBJECT,null)
    myDoc = cm.getItem(myDoc.getId(), requestedAttributes);
    log(myDoc); /* output could look like:
    (Item) 14385 DOCUMENT sample3.doc
    requested attributes ...
    CATEGORIES (Item[])=
    (Item) 14387 CATEGORY
    requested attributes ...
    CUSTOM_ALL (NamedValue[])=

    CUSTOM_14353=Internal Only Pending Review (String)
    CATEGORY_CLASS_OBJECT (Item)=
    (Item) 14354 CATEGORY_CLASS 5044-14351
    This means, that for document sample3.doc, we have 1 instance of a category object applied to it.
    The category object instance has id 14387. The instance is of a category class object type 14354. The instance has two attributes with internal names CUSTOM_14352, and CUSTOM_15353. The values of these attributes are of type Boolean and String respectively.

    b) is there any attribute overrides
    c) is there any enforced categories

    I can't open any pdf documents with Adobe Reader XI...get an error that "Adobe has stopped working" then it closes.  Is this an Adobe issue, Microsoft issue, or security issue?

    Thank you!  That seemed to do the trick.  Don't think I'd ever have figured that one out!!

    Error 'cannot cancel document with a down payment that was drawn to invoice.  We need to void a check and are getting this message.  We also get message when trying to cancel the outgoing payment.  The AP Down payment is closed, and the AP invoice is also closed.  Is there a way to 'undraw' the down payment on the AP invoice?  How can this be voided?  Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

  • #404 says Firefox can't open a book markd due to trying to open with error document?

    Tired to open bookmark tab,"This journey" on my computer MAC with server FireFox. I've opened it at a hundred times before. It says this server does not recognize it due to trying to open it with error document. How to fix it please

    Apparently the default in yosemite (compared to what I was used to in Leopard) is to HIDE the library folder.  So I didn't think the path above existed.
    Access hidden library files | Mac OS 10.7 and later.
    The default view of the ~/Library folder is hidden. So while hidden you can't navigate to the activation.dat file in a finder window.
    You can either "GO TO FOLDER ~/LIBRARY" or just make it visible permanently.
    You do this by entering within Terminal  the following command and press Return:
    chflags nohidden ~/Library
    Now you will see ~/Library.   (~ is shorthand for your login username for the linux naive).
    This resolved the immediate issue (of E_ACT_NOT_READY).  But as seen in other postings, ADE 4.0 crashed after loading a acsm file.   I downgraded to ADE 3.0 and life is good again.   It all used to work with my old system running ADE 2.0 and leopard.

  • Shopping Cart Follow On Documents Display Error

    Hi,
    We have implemented SRM extended classic scenario.
    Sometimes after a shopping cart is approved and a PO is created in the follow on documents the status for PO is shown as "Awaiting Approval" or PO created with error.
    The PO is successfully replicated in the backend and goods receipt and invoicing has also taken place successfully for that PO, but the status in the shopping cart
    --> follow on documents is either "Awaiting Approval" or PO created with error.
    How do we rectify this error.

    Hi John,
      Pls see my reply in the foll thread:
    The SCs in status Approved  but  Awaiting Approval
