Following recent Firefox update, I keep getting the following Java message each time I attempt to download a file, - Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIWindowsRegKey.op.
Following a click on the off cross, it then allows the download to continue.
When is AFG Safe Search to be fixed?
please report this error to AVG, the 3rd party developer of the addon, in order for them to fix it...

In both cases, if I click OK, the process I requested then takes place. What do I need to do?If you're having this issue open Firefox, go to Tools on the Firefox tabs at the top of your browser window, and click on Add-ons. This will take you to your Add-ons page. Click on Extensions on the right side of the screen and scroll down to the Skype extension add-on. Click on "Disable" to disable this extension. Once this extension is disabled your problem should be fixed. In my case it repaired the problem.

MY suggestion would be to try to create a new user on your computer, make sure your fire wall is turned off, make sure your using the cable that came with the device, make sure theres nothing else plugged in, such as camera, printer, mouse and keyboard are fine, and make sure your anti virus is turned off -
Every time I try to load an HTML5 webpage in Firefox 15.0.1 I get the "Error: Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsIDOMWindow.content] Source File: Line: 231" message. I checked the documentation at https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/XPCOM_Interface_Reference/nsIDOMWindow and it doesn't even show that this object HAS a "content" attribute. I have no idea what is causing this error since there is no module referenced, just the above source file line number. I checked the webpages being loaded and they don't even have line numbers 231 that I can detect.
The webpages seem to load and function correctly, but it is a nuisance to keep getting this error. Yes, I have a lot of extensions and add-ons in my Firefox, but since no module is ever referenced in the error message, I can only guess that the problem is in the basic Firefox core.

Hi I have mac os x 10.6.6 and need to update however keep getting the message " software update server ( 172.22.13.4 ) is not responding". My internet connections are all working. Any ideas how to solve this?
If you have enough room on the boot drive, head to System Preferences > Accounts and create another Admin Account, log out and into it and try your Software Update again.
If this doesn't work, connect a Ethernet cable to the router or modem (power off/on) and try again.
If this doesn't work then run through this list of fixes.

Go and log out of your MobileMe account and then try logging back in again with a dummy username and password. This can help clear it and then just log back in again with your normal username and password.
Note though that iWeb does not require a password or username to use it - this is MobileMe.
Also, start thinking about MobileMe alternatives before you are forced to in June. -
