iWeb worked just fine. But now I have a problem after publishing. It all looks fine but going on Safari changes all. Any idea what can be the problem?

There are several possible causes for this issue. Take each of the following steps until it's resolved.
1. Follow the instructions in this support article.
2. Reset the System Management Controller.
3. If you're using a Bluetooth trackpad, investigate potential sources of interference, including USB 3 devices.
4. A swollen battery in a MacBook Pro or Air can impinge on the trackpad from below and cause erratic behavior. If you have trouble clicking the trackpad, this is likely the reason. The battery must be replaced.
5. There's a report that a (possibly defective) Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter can cause the built in trackpad of a MacBook to behave erratically. If you're using such an adapter, disconnect it and test.
6. There's also a report of erratic cursor movements caused by an external display that was connected but not turned on.
7. If none of the above applies, or if you have good reason to think your computer is being controlled remotely, remove it from the network by turning off Wi-Fi, disconnecting from a Bluetooth network link, and unplugging the Ethernet cable or USB modem, whichever is applicable. If the cursor movements stop immediately, you should suspect an intrusion.

When doing a search, the websites I have been to don't highlight a different color. How can I change this so I know which ones I have looked at?

That is the visited color.
You can check the Visited Links color: Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors: Colors
Make sure that the History is enabled: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Remember my browsing history
Make sure that you do not run Firefox in Private Browsing mode, see [[Private Browsing]])
To see History and Cookie settings in Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting "Firefox will: Use custom settings for history"

The print is uneven in color resoulution, what can i do

All of the lettering, everything that is in print is scratchy looking and uneven in color so the words are not easy to read. for instance the word educated...the e is lighter than the d... the u is almost missing a part of the letter... the ca is lighter and the ted are fine. what can i do so print is even and easy to read

Where are you and where did you get the phone. This sounds like a classic symptom of someone who bought an iPhone that originated in the U.S. which was then hacked so it would run on a carrier network other than AT&T... Then, when updating the phone, it becare re-locked to AT&T.
If that's what happened, you now own a paperweight. AT&T will NOT unlock them for any reason.
If this isn't the case, please clarify where you are, what carrier you have and where you got the phone so we can begin troubleshooting.

Every time I add a photo to a slideshow it messes up my entire slideshow. It puts the pics in a completely different order. What can I do to stop this?

When using iphoto, every time I add a photo to a slideshow, it rearranges all the photos in the slideshow. Then I have to go back and put them back in the order that I wanted. What can I do so it doesn't do this?

Are you using a particular theme? In the Classic theme when I add a new photo to the mix it ends up at the end of the slideshow or at the farthest right in the thumbnail tray.

I publish identical podcasts under different URLs. How can I combine them into one?

Over the years, my URL has changed a couple of times. I didn't know (until recently) how to notify iTunes that the podcast location and URL had changed. So, now after a number of years, I have three identical podcasts, each with different a different URL and a different list of subscribers. I have them pointing to the same source file now, but I would love to combine the podcasts into one so that the subscribers from each are merged together and they don't show up as three possible subscriptions in iTunes. Is this possible?

You can't merge them: all you can do is to ask to have two of them deleted, and of course if you do that you will lose any ratings. However existing subscribers should all be using the same feed if the three Store pages are all using the same feed, and so removing two of them won't have any effect on subscribers.

When you explain why you want each one of the two you choose removed, specifically say that the same feed is in use in three places, so you can't use the 'itunes:block' tag (because this would block all three).

Firefox 3.5 worked GREAT, but 3.6 will not operate on my computer. What can be done?

As stated, I have an old HP Pavillion 8290 computer. it's slow, but it works. I've maxed out the RaM. IE runs WAY to slow, so i started using Firefox. All was well with the world, until 3.6 came out. Once installed, firefox 3.6 will NOT access the Internet. I have reinstalled 3.5, and blocked the upgrade, and all was well again, but, eventually, it slipped through. I repeated the process and again was good for a while, but again the upgrade slipped through, again without authorization. now, i can reinstall 3.5, but as soon as I access Firefox, the upgrade installs automatically, and again, I cannot access the Internet. i need to know how to permanently block the upgrade, or need a patch to fix the problem.

You haven't mentioned re-registering the DLL's in windows xp which is the suggested fix on Windows XP for ipod's doing this.
Disconnect the iPod from the computer and close iTunes.

1. Start>Run
2. Type 'notepad'

Paste the text into notepad (ctrl+v or right-click and paste)
Save the file as registerdll.bat on your desktop
Close notepad
Doubleclick the registerdll.bat file on the desktop
A command prompt will appear and these items will be processed. When it is finished you can delete the batch file.
See if it then syncs okay.

Creating a User Group to publish to all devices in BES... can it be done?

I want to be able to create a contact group to send a text message to all members. I see where I can manually add a group in my BB device and add contacts. Can I do the same from the BES Manager and deploy to all devices. There is an option to create groups, but will it sync or be available to the device on a lookup?
Unfortunately, the devices do not sync to the mail system (Groupwise) address book. There are some customized ways to do this, but nothing that is supported by RIM and Novell.

I am trying to simply replicate a peice of text in photoshop so that it is pixel by pixel exactly the same as what I would see in a webbrowser with some text from a css/html based webpage.
Sorry, you can't (without copying text from a browser).
Part of the problem is that every browser renders text differently.
And part of it is that many browsers currently render with an anti-aliasing style that Photoshop doesn't support (color edges).
Then there's the lack of kerning in browsers and ....
We've been thinking about how to replicate browser font rendering, but it's not nearly as easy as it sounds.

I produce church bulletins and the format that I use shows everything is in black except my front and inside cover. When I make copies I am charged for all color. What can I do to correct this?

charges me for all color pages. It is getting expensive. Any suggestions?

Window > Output > Separations Preview and then you need to select Separations from the dropdown at the top of the panel.
Click the eyeball next to the Black plate to turn it off. If there is no color on the page it should go blank. If it doesn't, you've found the problem.

The colors on the screen of my iPod nano are all out of whack. What can I do to fix this?

It is a 3G and it shows rainbow colors. I've tried resetting it twice, but it stays the same. When I touch the screen, it shows original colors in some areas.

Sounds like a damaged or loose ribben cable or LCD screen. You'll need to have the iPod serviced either by Apple or a third party service center in order to resolve the issue.

I purchased a movie in itunes on my windows 7 laptop and it does not show up in itunes on my Mac, iphone, ipad unless I have my windows laptop on. How can I get this on my apple stuff?

I'm having the same issue. I set up iTunes Match yesterday and today my iPhone is telling me that my subscription is expired.

Pages vs PDF: Colors look different in the print out

I'm currently creating some templates for letters in pages and I encountered irregularities when printing directly from pages versus printing the PDF from Acrobat.
This is the workflow:
I created the Logo in Adobe Illustrator CS4 using CMYK color definition. After saving a JPEG or EPS I inserted the logos in my Pages document. Then I exported the document as PDF with maximum quality.
What happens now is, that the printed PDF looks closer to the original Illustrator logo (JPEG and EPS). When printed directly in Pages, the color shifts to a much brighter and very different Blue.
What can I do to get the same results when printing from the two programms?

Publishing iCal Categories/Calendars in Color

On my iCal calendar, I have calendars for business, family and personal schedules all in different colors.
When I publish to .Mac (wish I could publish to my campus server!), the colors are all the same.
Any way the colors of my different calendars/categories can be seen when published to .mac?

Published a site in iweb but looks different in the web browser

Hi,
I have published a site in iWeb but it looks different when viewed in the web browser having published a few times.
The pictures have small frames around which display perfectly i niweb but do not show in browser?
The navigation menu is all showing in iweb but again not showing in the web browser?
Not sure what I am doing wrong? I have tried to publish a few times.. checked that all the tick boxes show 'display navigation menu' etc?
