Font Agent Pro problems again

i posted this exact same problem using FAP4 some time back (it was later fixed with FAP updates)
i recently updated CS6 to FAP5 and the exact problems are back (OSX 10.7.5)
the FAP5 plugin causes CS6 to 1) NOT auto activate my fonts and 2) NOT note what the missing font is
of course, Photoshop> About Plugin... does not do anything to note the plugin version
but here are screenshots of get info
disabling the FAP CS6 plugins with a tilde not only made the font available, but it also calls out the correct font
FLAKEY...

Any hope that Suitcase will resolve the conflict with Google Chrome re. Helvetica Neue?
I had to run the Suitcase Uninstall program to solve the conflict (worked instantly: restart, webpages load with Helvetica), but I'd like to be able to use a proper font management tool (like Suitcase) for all sorts of Adobe-based work (and not have to mess around with fonts on a constant basis).

My extensive Font Age Pro 4.0.3 library of fonts does not show up in Fireworks CS4. Does anyone know why? The only fonts
Fireworks sees are those controlled by Font Manager. I do not recall this problem with Tiger and Fireworks CS3.
Photoshop CS4 has no problem (yes there is an Auto-Activation Plug-in for Font Agent Pro 4), however did not have a problem not having it when was
running CS3 Fireworks.

How do I deactivate fonts? (Font Agent Pro or Font Explorer)

I purchased Font Agent Pro (3.3.2) and have tried Font Explorer X (1.2.2) and don't know what I am doing wrong--even when I ask them to deactivate all fonts it still looks like all fonts are active in application font menus.
I've had FAP installed for a couple years and have been living with the problem but I would like to get it solved as it is very tedious to scroll through hundreds of fonts to look for what I want.
Font Explorer reported that I had 2400 active fonts. I told it to disable everything it would, now it says there are 376 active fonts, but fonts that are listed as inactive are still available.
What do I do?

Since neither are Apple products, you'd be better off contacting Insider support for your Font Agent issues.

I'm about done with Suitcase and all it's bugs. Has anyone used Font Agent Pro 6 with ID CC 2014? Can you give me the pros/cons?

Font Agent Pro- sharing font sets

Hi,
I m in need of a font manager that shares fonts within the LAN.
I tried Font Agent Pro, it works well.
But once fonts are shared between 2 systems(say A and B),A has 15 fonts, i need to activate 10 of them in one stretch instead of activating individually so that all 15 fonts are accessible in system B.
Just like sharing fonts in sets, i need to activate fonts(in sharing tab) in sets. Is it possible?
When i share fonts of 2 sets, they do not appear as sets in the shared system. Instead all fonts from 2 sets are mixed up and they r shown.
In the shared system, is it possible to activate one set of fonts(shared)?
If someone has worked with Font Agent Pro, please help me...

Seagate Free Agent Pro 750/Leopard Incompatible?

I have been trying to use a Seagate Free Agent Pro 750 (purchased off the shelf at Costco) as a Time Machine backup drive. Leopard is unable to format this disk as anything other than FAT32 (which cannot be used for Time Machine). I spent about 2 hours on the phone with Seagate tech support, and finally returned the drive. I got another, duplicate unit, and repeated the experience (except this time I used Seagate's online chat tech support instead of the phone). I tried this with 4 different machines (2 G4 12"s, a Macbook and a Macbook Pro), and with both the firewire 400 and USB 2.0 interfaces (the Free Agent has a replaceable interface module that I switched out to try both ways).
Is this a known incompatibility? Anyone else have this problem? Is there a fix?

I have the exact same hard drive that I bought at Costco and think I experienced the same error as you did. You probably got some file formatter error using disk utility? This issue is known and there is an easy workaround. Here is the Gizmodo link to the solution:

Please let us know if this solves the problem you are experiencing. The solve involved creating 2 partitions, reformatting, then combining the partitions again.

Agent determination problem

I have a workflow that has been in production for almost a year. We are in the middle of integration testing for another rollout and I'm getting agent determination errors in this workflow. There are three steps involved. The first two use the exact same rule. The first of these two works fine. When it tries to run the rule again for the second step, it gets no agent found. If I test the rule it works. If I restart the workflow, it works. When it moves on to the third work item using a different rule, it errors out no agent found. When I test this rule, it works. When I restart at this step, it also works.
This is a new integration client that was copied from production. I've performed the standard workflow customization like I always do. I've run several other workflows and only notice the agent determination problems in this one. The workflow hasn't changed in months although there have been some user security changes...I'm not sure how that could really affect the agent determination during the creation of work items.
One thing that might be important...userA created the first workitem and the agent determination resolves to userB. When userB executes the first work item and completes, the second work item should also resolve to userB using the exact same rule. This fails. I restarted it using my account and it resolves to userB. UserB executes work item #2 and work item #3 should resolve to userC but the agent determation fails again. I don't know whether the work item agent is "used" to perform the creation of the next workitem or not but this is the only difference between the first two work items and one works while the other does not.
It's almost like userA can perform the agent determination but userB cannot. I can't manually execute the agent determination as userB so I ran se37 as myself in debug and changed SYST-UNAME to userB and it worked fine and returned userB as the agent. That would seem to eliminate security as an issue with the agent determination.

Are you absolutely sure that it is not an authorisation issue? Can you give SAP_ALL (and the possible structural authorisations) to all the users that are involved in the process? (I don't think that changing sy-uname in debug mode to another user really is a correct way to try to prove whether this is an authorisation issue.)
The agent determination of the following step is executed by the previous WF agent, if there is no background steps between. So if the previous agent doesn't have enought authorisations, the agent determination will fail.

Agent unreachable problem

One of the monitored SuSE Linux host in my Grid OEM has status "Agent unreachable". As such the host has not been monitored. It was ok before and I am not sure why (and from when) it has the problem. I have checked and the dbsnmp agent on the Linux host is up and running. I have restarted the agent but it does not help.
Below is the output from "emctl status agent" command issued on the Linux host.
What do I need to check and try?

I issued the "emctl upload agent" command and got some error message about not enough space. I noticed that the /opt/app file was 99% full (it still had few GB free), and I did some clean up and got it down to 93% full (120 GB free now). I then issued "emctl upload agent" again and it gev the output

I then checked my Grid Control OEM and the agent unreachable problem is no longer there. :-)

Open type font "Myriad Pro" support in Java AWT

I have installed open type font "Myriad Pro" on my machine.
When I use the following AWT APIs on jre 1.6, I dont get the open type font "Myriad Pro" in the font list.

When I print out the list of all the fonts java recognizes on my machine, all the otf fonts (about 70 of them) are missing including Myriad Pro. All the true type fonts show up. You might need to convert the Myriad Pro into a true type font to get it recognized in java.

The same problem again with HP Simple Pass fingerprint reader after upfrading from Firefox 4 to Firefox 5. I have already installed HPSimPlePass 7.0.74.0 to fix the problem after upgrading to Firefox 4.

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 with a fingerprint reader. I had the same problem as many other people when upgrading to Firefox 4, : I couldn't use the HP Simple Pass to enter a website needing a username and password by just swiping my fingerprint. I fixed the problem by downloading the new HPSimPlePass 7.0.74.0. This fixed the problem and I was very happy. Since upgrading to Firefox 5 I have the same problem again, but I already have the new version of HP Simple Pass. How can this be fixed so that I can use this fingerprint scan feature again, or where can I download Firefox 4 again?

Audio Render Problems Again

I'm having problem again rendering a one hour presentation. If I use Command/R, the dialog box indicates seven or more days. If I highlight the selection I get essentially the same estimated time.
Command/R usually works, but not this time. Audio For Playback is checked.
The DV timeline plays in Quick Time OK.
I desperately need to get this video sent out! I even deleted preferences using the "Preference Manager" program.

All of my lecture video series are recorded in LP 16 bit audio. Each lecture is between 1 to 1.5 hr in length. I have successfully completed 10 of the 23.
Each lecture is sent to iMovie HD and then the timeline.mov is placed into FCE. One other time the timeline audio would not render, so I converted it to DV via MPEG Stream Clip and placed it back into FCE. The lecture I'm having trouble with is #11.
As mentioned, usually Command-R will do the trick in 10 minutes or so, not 6 to 10 days.

I got explorer.exe problem again,which was solved previously by creating new user account.I am free from problem for around 1 month and started again, and this time very frequently i am getting windows with message that

No; but then, I've not had occasion to use TDM. I've been using firerwire drives for over 10 years, both FW400 and FW800, with no issues except a bit of instability using a B&W G3 machine.
TDM should be safe. Using cautious, manual copying of files from the Target machine to the Host machine should not result in unexpected loss of files or damage to the Target drive's directories. It should behave exactly the same as if it were an external (to the Host) firewire drive.
• I don't suppose there is anything I can do to 'put back' lost items from a separate Time Machine drive which has an up to date backup on it.
There is probably a way to do that - seems to me that's one of the reasons for a Time Machine volume.
On the other hand, if the Time Machine volume is rigidly linked to the now-absent OS on the original drive, there may be no way to effectively access the files in the TM archive.
I know that using a cloned drive would work well in this instance.
I have no experience with Time Machine, so perhaps someone who has will chime in with suggestions.
With the machine in TDM with the other machine, have you tried running Disk Utility to see if you can effect repairs to the drive?

Possible conflict - font explorer pro

I've experienced a couple CS4 PS crashes and was not able to force quit or restart PS (error 600).
I started shutting down all of the open applications and when I quit Font Explorer Pro, PS shut down fully. And then I was able to restart PS.
I'm removing the Font Explorer plugin for a while.
Anyone else experiencing issues with Font Explorer Pro 2.0.1 ?

I have been waiting to hear reports before I switched to the paid version. The free version works so well. Linotype has been bought by Monotype I believe. Probably in the end enough people didn't use the "Store" option so they realized they didn't have an lTunes on their hands - therefore the charge.
Auto-activation in PS has always been flaky - most of the time it doesn't work and then - boom. Sorry I don't have a solution for you - I manage fonts the old way in PS and let the plugins do their work in Illy and ID.
I sent an email to them about the Server product and the first answer I got back was about $4000 with a yearly fee. They bundled the Monotype library with the server (I don't need more fonts, and if I did I wouldn't buy a library - I prefer to be more selective). Ridiculous. I just got an email that they changed the pricing to $2100 and the library is no longer bundled. Still not interested.

I am using 4k footages to edit in premiere pro CC 2014. Our footages frame size are of 3840x2160 and some of footages are 4096x2160. frame rates are 29.97, also as of now we are editing on 29.97, snap shot of sequence settings attached herewith for reference, but need output on 25fps. It would be a major help if you can help us regarding settings for 4k footage. as premiere pro CC 2014 getting crash again and again.
