Font and type size automatically revert in Numbers

No matter what font or type size I use in a spreadsheet, when I move to a new cell, the font and type revert to the default, Helvetica Neue 10 point. If I set a block of cells to a certain font and size, they work properly until i have to cut and paste something out of a cell, then that cell reverts back. No one seems to know why this happens. Any ideas on changing the defaults permanently?

You can set the default for each table style and, if you want, save your changes as a template which you can use for new documents.
What I think you are doing is setting the font size and type for a cell and expecting it to apply for all cells. It does not.
If you want this to be a default style for all new documents, first open up a new blank template. Otherwise do this in your current document. Select the table then select all cells (cmd-A). Change the font and type. The entire table should change. That's all you have to do if you are concerned about this single table in this one document.
If you want to have new tables start out with that same font and style, go to the lower part of the sidebar on the left where the table styles are. Find the one that looks like the one you started with. Click the disclosure triangle and choose "redefine style from table". From then on in this document any new tables created from that table style will have the font and style you specified. Do the same for the other table styles if you want to. If you want one of them to be the default table style, choose that in the sidebar also. If this is a new document and you save it as a template and you use that template for new documents, those documents will also have your new table style(s).

    Hi,
I am using your software: CS6 InDesign Suiteon a PC using a Windows 7 operating system.
Due to eyesight issues, I need to have the menu bars of programs in easy-to-read font and picture size.  Specifically, the menu bar across the top (File, Edit, View, etc.), and the menu bar on the left side with the graphic depiction of options.
In earlier versions of Windows (e.g. XP), whenever I changed the screen resolution on my computer to a lesser resolution in order to show the link icons on my desktop in a larger, more readable size, all the software programs, including yours, appeared on my screen with the menu bars in the larger font size that I needed.
However, in Windows 7, this is not the case.  Even though I have selected the lowest resolution, making the icons on my desktop extremely large, I cannot read the options across the top menu bar of your program, nor the pull-down menu items that they contain.  I cannot see the graphic depictions of options on the left side of the screen. They are all too small.  How can I make your program increase the size?

CS6 is not high-DPI compatible/ enabled and that can't be changed. If you cannot6 make it work with your operating system means, then short of joining Creative Cloud and using newer versions there is nothing you can do.

  • How do I change the font and graphic size when using Firefox

I have recently switched from Windows to Mac. When resizing the window in Mac the font and graphic size do not follow -- they stay the same size and only more "white space" is created by increasing the window size. How do I get the graphics and fonts to adapt to the new window size or at least make the whole image bigger. I am using Firefox 3.6.12 and Mac OS10.6.5. Thanks for the help.

You can select to zoom the full page or only the text: View > Zoom > Zoom Text Only<br />
Firefox 3 can remember the zoom level site specific.

  • Fonts and letter size on iCloud mail

I want to change the font and letter size in my emails but every time I want to send a new email, it has gone back to the default setting so I have to change it for every email - a real nuisance. Is there any way to set it and make it stay? It even has a set button but that seems to be only for the one email.

  • Is adjustment to increase font and icon size possible

I just loaded Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 and find at startup the fonts and icons are so tiny they are nearly impossible for me to see.  Is there someway to increase the size of the screen image?

you can increase the system's font and dpi size. Just go to Control Panel and then Display.
There if you increase the dpi settings ,Organizer will respond accordingly. Also ,
this is applicable just for Windows. However , on high dpi you will some layout issues ( known issue). Let me know if you  require any help.

  • Font and Icon size are too small on windows 8.1 computer.

I have a windows 8.1 computer with a 64 bit operating system with the most up to date version of Adobe CS6 and a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.  When I open CS6 the font and icons are minescule and I cannot fix it by adjusting the screen resolution.  Is there a way to correct this?

Have you tried setting the resolution to 1366 x 768?
I know it defeats the purpose of having a HiDpi screen, but Photoshop CS6 was released when such displays were not common.
Photoshop  CC 2014 has an experimental 200% UI scale for such PCs, but it is a $10 a month subscription to the Photography Plan. You can trial it out to see if you can use it.

  • Help with the tiny menu and type size of the UI...

Does anyone know of a way to make the menus and type LARGER in the User Interface? I am using the new indesign CC on a nwer iMac large display. Everything is SO tiny, my eyes really strain to see and read all the menus and tools. Anyway to fix this?
    Thanks!

You can zoom the screen by setting key combinations and trackpad gestures in Mountain Lion's Preferences > Accessibility. In OS X 10.6.x and earlier, IIRC it's in Preferences > Universal Access.

  • HELP! Need the toolboxes bigger! Font and icon sizes.

Is there any way to increase the size of the icons/toolbox font sizes??? changing monitor settings don't effect Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.

Thank you. I just tried to find the default dpi and only found 'percentage increase' - which makes icons fuzzy and unclear. Do you know where to find the default dpi?
I absolutely appreciate the help, Friend!

No. This stuff is hard-coded. Check your Windows default DPI setting if they appear excessively small. resetting it to the default 96 DPI often fixes the issue.

  • How do I send emails in different fonts and letter sizes using Thunderbird?

I can change the print size when composing emails but the print in the actual email when sent remains the same.

    I think you misunderstand.
In Mail.app's Window menu is an option 'Connection Doctor' (I don't know how these translate into non-English systems if you're using one).
This will test the connection to all configured mail servers and report any problems.
