'Font contains bad/Widths' and 'Cannot find/create font' errors when saving pdf as Other Reduced Size PDF

I am exporting .indd files from within Indesign as pdf files, opening in Acrobat Pro XI. I have no trouble creating the initial pdf file, however, when I go to Save Other > Reduced Size PDF I get error messages. Depending on the file, I receive either the message, "The font (Myriad Pro) contains bad/Widths" replacing the text with dots or "Cannot find or create the font (Helvetica) Some characters may not print or display properly" replacing text with dots or boxes.
My confusion is that the file is exporting to pdf from Indesign without error, it is only when I try to Save Other> Reduce Size PDF that the error occurs.
Also, it is only occurring on five out of 120 pages. These same fonts are on other pages and I have no trouble at all with exporting or Reduce Size PDF.
More frustrating is that I have never had this problem occur in all my previous versions of Acrobat using the same process and typefaces.
I am reaching deadline on this and cannot find a solution other than to reload Acrobat 9 and ditch this upgrade.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I, too have experienced this issue. Upon export from INDD CS6, I see the error message "The font 'IXWIPX+SourceHanSansSC-Bold' contains bad \Widths."
The only items on the single-page InDesign document I'm trying to export are copies of a one-page PDF (which was extracted from a longer PDF, arranged into a cover format). I can provide all files as necessary. The longer document that the one page came from also experienced an error when I tried to print to Adobe PDF. While I still get a PDF of the cover on export, despite the "bad \widths" message, it won't print from certain machines. I get nothing (not even an empty shell file) from the attempt to print the larger document (where the cover elements came from) to PDF.
I can deal with these issues with a few unorthodox workarounds, but wanted to offer comments or volunteer to help test fixes if possible.
For the record, I'm really not enjoying Acrobat XI. It doesn't seem to have much by way of new features (at least not that I use), and some of those I used most in version X are gone or less functional. Common fonts like Times New Roman are often not found (even though they are definitely on my system); I have a much harder time editing text through the new interface, and I have a few other small gripes—some that I don't have time to get into, others that wouldn't really matter, except that they weren't a problem until I "upgraded." Just sayin'.

I saved a pdf file and a message came up with "The font * contains bad/width". There are places in my pdf, that have bad font formatting. What can I do to get my font formatting to correct itself? I had a file that was perfect, I then renamed it to change some parts of it. The newly renamed file is giving me this error message. I have Acrobat 8 professional and Windows XP.

Are the places with bad font formatting, the places that were changed when you changed some parts of it? How did you change the file..insert another pdf page?...edited text? or what?

using Windows 98 and Novell Client v4.83. This only happened in a
particular workstation but other is working fine. Is there any

Cannot find admintemplate.dwt error when updating template

I have a site I am working on. Each page was created using a template that I created. Everything was working fine when I would update the template, every page would update. Now when I make a change to the template, DW asks if I would like to update the template files and I click Update. I typically change the dropdown box to "Entire Site" (not sure if that's what I'm supposed to do). Now when I select "Entire Site", I receive the following error:
Error accessing (path to file \admintemplate.dwt" file not found (error code 2).
I didn't create an "admintemplate.dwt" so what is this referring to and how do I fix it from trying to look for that file each time I update the template?

Cannot find ELCOMProxies.dll error when going to Enterprise Message Sources

I installed BAM 10.1.3 and everything seems to be working but when I access the Enterprise Message Sources I get following error:
Unable to create Message Receiver Admin COM object: Error=System.DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL (ELCOMProxies.dll). at Oracle.BAM.Middleware.Persistence.COMProxyGeneral.fnCreateObject(String strCLSIDObject, String strCLSIDInterface, IntPtr& ipInterface, String& rstrErrorCode) at Oracle.BAM.Middleware.Persistence.COMProxyGeneral.Create(String strCLSIDObject, String strCLSIDInterface)

I researched and found a bug that stated this may happen after installation but solved after rebooting. In m y case I keep getting the same error and it prevents me to create new sources.

Correcct this seems to be unsuccessful or incorrect installation (or deinstall and reinstall). You have to contact oracle support or local oracle rep for a clean resolution.

I just spent forever with this problem with verizon. did you try downloading from Verizon Tones? If you did and didn't get it resolved try this...
Go into verizon tones and press and hold the soft key (the recent apps key-used to be the menu options key on old phones) to the left of the home button. when you press and hold it, the menu options come up instead of the recent apps. Then press "downloads". I found my ringtone there under "pending"

'The font 'Arial-BoldMT' contains bad /Widths' message

I have created a rather extensive form using Acrobat 5.0.
After creating the form, I was reading online about the new feature in Acrobat 9 that offers the ability to allow Adobe Reader users to save a copy of a filled-in form. This was very appealing to me, so I acquired Acrobat 9 and proceeded to utilize this feature.
Before applying the new feature, I simply made a copy of the form by using 'Save as'. After the save completed, and anytime I re-open the from (either in Acrobat 9 or Reader 9), I am receiving the following message in the form of an information window (indicated by a speech bubble with an 'i' in it):
'The font 'Arial-BoldMT' contains bad /Widths.'
This message also persists after saving the file with the aforementioned new feature applied.
Can anyone provide me with any insight regarding this message, and, more importantly, how to resolve it?
Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated!

If you have the original document that the form was built on, try to print it to a new PDF. Then use the replace pages to put it in place of the current pages without deleting the form fields. I have no idea where the font error would have come from, but this might work. Be sure to play with copies and not your originals.
If all else fails, you could even just print the current PDF form to a new PDF with the document only selected. Then use that result to replace pages.

Your question and description is not very clear to me, so hopefully something here will help:
1. Gmail is a service not an app or a place. So you need to access the service with an app - that can be iPhoto, Mail, Outlook or any other mail client, or even a Web Browser like Safari or Firefox.
So you can't "go to GMail" as you write, but instead you go to an application set up to use the GMail service.
2. iPhoto is not a mail client. It's a handy way to email pics to Grandma, but for what you're doing you need to use an app that supports all of the Gmail service. iPhoto doesn't. There is no way around that.
3. How to send to groups will vary depending on what app you use to access the GMail service. All of these apps can receive photos from iPhoto, either - as in the case of Mail and Outlook, via the Share function - or, in the case of all the rest - via a Media Browser.
For help sending to Groups using any of these other apps you need to ask omn their respective forums. But the workflow is quite simple:
Using Mail or Outlook set in the iPhoto Prefereneces:
1. Select the pic(s) you want to share.
2. Choose email from the Share function
3. Make your selections re size etc
4. The email opens up in Mail or Outlook
- from there you need to figure out how to use the email client.
Using any other app:
1. In the mail app create a new email
2. Click on the Attach button or link
3. Use the Media browser to select the pic(s) you want to send
4. Attach them
- from there you need to figure out how to use the email client.

Upgrade to the latest version 1.4.1. It's a free upgrade. It however will not alleviate your frustrations.
You can move a directory in Lr by clicking and dragging to a new location within the Folders panel. To create a new folder on a new drive ensure that no folders are selected (hint: click All Photographs in the Catalog panel) then click the + icon in the Folders panel. You will be presented with a dialog to choose or create a new folder.
To move selected photos to a new directory first select the images then right click the destination folder. You will be presented with several options including moving to the destination folder or creating a new folder under the destination folder.

OPSUF042 contains bad /Widths error

has anyone out there had any issues with this message with acrobat: 'OPSUF042 contains bad /Widths'?
i have a customer that has multiple pdfs that is getting this message as he views these documents.
ive come up empty when researching this.
any information would help.

i opened one document and just scrolled thru the pages and on page 81 out of 212 (different pages for different documents) had a "The font 'OPSUFont0' contains bad/Widths". the file locks up for the customer and has to rescan. this file (pdf) is created via a Canon copier using Ecopy Sharescan. Ecopy (Nuance) has evaluated these pdf's and stated that they have not been able to recreate it in their environment. they recommended putting a ticket with Adobe.
any info once again would be helpful.

I cannot find my font even i install the font

1. I have install my font at the font book, however i cannot find the font at the font book. I notice that there are a USER icon is missing in my font book.

FB01 - Need to update fields and cannot find solution

I have a need to update VERTN, KUNNR, WERKS, and PPRCT when posting an invoice with FB01. The only field I can find a way to change is PPRCT (through substitution). I have looked at all the user exits, BADI's, BAPI's, and BTE's and cannot find a solution. Nothing I can find has these fields available to change.
I thought BTE 1020 was my solutution, but it seems you can't change any data with it - which I can't figure out the point of it then. Right after the call to the BTE, it sets the BSEG internal table back to the way it was before the call.
Anyone have any suggestions?

You are corrent that the fields you want to substitute are not available in <b>BSEG_SUBST</b>.
To get these fields you will have to maintain <b>table GB01 and GB01C</b>. This is where you define which field you can substitute. The fields you want are define as non substitutable in table GB01 ( BEXCLUDE = 'X' ).
I know that you can substitute custom fields by adding entry in these table but i do not know if it is advisable to change the entry in table to make the field substitutable. I checked OSS not but could not find any for the fields you have specified.
You might want to check for OSS note by yourself and if you could not find any, write to SAP and ask if you can change the entry in GB01 and GB01C.

Cannot find default font

Hi,
When booting I can see the message "Cannot find default font" just below the Arch logo. Nevertheless everything works fine afterwards but it's an annoying message that started appearing just a few days ago after I changed the consolefont in rc.conf to lat10. Can anyone help me to get rid of it?
