Font Doesn't Upload

Hi,
I just purchased 3 fonts and I put them in my Fonts folder, yet when I go to Photoshop or InDesign, only 2 of the 3 show up, even though I copied them to my fonts folder at the same time and I see them all in there. Does anyone know why this is happening? The font I have is Snell Roundhand (true type) - the Script and Script Bold shows up but not the Script Black.

It's an issue with the font.
We encountered the same thing with some AMD licensed fonts (AMD paid the licensing fee for us to use it to promote their stuff): all fonts were installed, sometimes (after various reinstallations) they would all show up and sometimes not, but never were they all actually usable. My "workaround" was to uninstall one of the offending fonts I was not using for a project so I could access the one it was blocking or overwriting.
Try removing the bold font and see if the black one shows up. If that doesn't solve it, contact the font vendor and tell them the issue. The bold and black fonts may have had the same information stored when they were created that makes them identical when installed. They may even appear different when double clicking them from Explorer, but the "metadata" type of information tells apps that they are the same.
I barely understand it myself, to be honest.

Are you using any software to import videos? Did you tried Picasa or you just open your iPhone from My Computer?

I synced "Mostra Nova" and "Proxima Nova" with typekit. But only Mostra Nova appears in Adobe Muse. Proxima Nova doesn't. In Photoshop CC both appear. Can I fix this? Or is it a bug, that will be fixed?

Do you happen to use Suitcase Fusion to manage the installed fonts on your computer? We have recently identified a bug in the program which inteferes with fonts synced from Typekit. More information and a workaround is available here:

If not, would you please send your recent sync logs to [email protected], so we can look into this further?
On OS X:
* Open the Finder
* under the Go menu, select "Go To Folder"
* in the windows that opens, type: /Users/(username)/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CoreSync/
Note that you need to replace "(username)" with your own account name; for instance, on my computer I am "galle".
(Or if you are comfortable working from the Terminal, cd to $HOME/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CoreSync/)
On Windows:
C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CoreSync\
Attach the recent CoreSync-yyyy-MM-dd.log files to an email. Please don't send a zip file, as they often get flagged as spam.

ITunes Match doesn't upload any songs.

I've got a problem with iTunes match on iTunes 11 on my MacBook Pro 10.8.2. At Step 3, iTunes Match doesn't upload any songs! It stops and starts again with Step 1. At the end, I've error 4002. Turn on/off Genius/iTunes Match didn't worked ! I need help

Power-cycle your internet modem and the router (if you have one). Otherwise just let it keep running. There's really nothing else you can do.

Embedding fonts - doesn't work

Another day, another Flash Catalyst problem.
I check the box to embed fonts when I publish, only when I preview my output they are nowhere to be seen. Bottom line, Flash Catalyst doesn't work on a Mac. I've had nothing but problems. This program isn't ready for prime time at all. I've used betas of programs that are much more polished than this. I believed that there wasn't suppossed to be major issues when using FC with 10.7 Lion.
That's not true, this program is so broken and flawed and such a frustration to use. Adobe can't be bothered to update even though they've had access to Lion for months. If they can't make a program that works then why bother releasing for the Mac platform at all?
Lets see:
1. Placeholders don't work.
2. Importing Illustrator files doesn't work.
3. Publishing with embedded fonts doesn't work.
These aren't minor issues. They are MAJOR PROBLEMS!!! How did Flash Catalyst see the light of day on the Mac? Why was it released? Are these problems isolated to 10.7? Why aren't these MAJOR DEALBREAKERS listed? Can anyone at Adobe stand up and admit that this Flash Catalyst on the Mac is a total fiasco?

I am sorry you are having trouble. I'm not running Lion on my Mac (issues with LDAP and a corporate network). With something like you are describing I would try two things before contact Adobe support. The first would be to try a fresh install. Maybe the OS upgrade wonked something. The other thing I would make sure is that my JAVA runtime is up to date. Flash Catalyst is built on Eclipse, which in turn in built on JAVA.
Beyond, that these issue are more that I can help with.

Thanks for your reply, but you might have misunderstood it a bit. I'm NOT trying to buy a movie. ****, I'm not even in the actual Apple Store, when this happens I'm in the library not the Store part of iTunes.
To clarify - I have purchased a physical copy of a movie which came with another physical copy which contains the digital copy. The digital copy is on the DVD, all I need is just to transfer this file to my iPod Touch, for example, I'm not trying to download it from the store or repurchase it and it's not any gift code that I've received, the digital copy is on the disc. This is the first time ever that I've purchased something on a disc and I'm not allowed to access it because the disc hasn't been purchased within my country.
So again - I'm not attempting any purchase or download any purchased digital copy - it's on a DVD I own physically so... why is even the region of my Store relevant, the code I enter is (as I assume) just supposed to check if it's a legal genuine copy (which it is, as I've said - there are 6 discs in the pack: 3 movies on 3 Blu-rays and 3 DVD containing these digital copies of them). If I own it, I think that's proof enough that I have the right to use it. I just don't get it. What are you capturing from? You may not hear the auido as it's captured but it will be there. After it's captured can you see the audio waveforms? Do the audio meters move when you play the clip? If so then go to "View" then "Audio Playback" and set it to 'Built-in Output" if you're monitoring audio through the computer.

Fixed layout ePub not display truetype font properly when uploaded to Amazon

I've created a kids book with inDesign CC which works fine on iPad but when I upload the book to Amazon KDP, the font which is a truetype font and not protected doesn't display properly. It has unusual spacing between the charaters and sometimes the letters overlap each other. Can i embed this font somehow to have it display properly? I can't find an option anywhere to do that. Or will I have to change the font entirely? Many thanks.

Yes, it is an SIL license. I am not using Allatuq anymore, I switched to Quicksand which I got from fontsquirrel.com.
Yes, there is a fixed layout epub option in inDesign CC 2014:
It even has some default sizing options though I have gone with a custom size to account for larger devices, desktop reading etc and am hoping that it's going to work.
The Kindle previewer (desktop version) displays perfectly.
The online previewer has had some display issues with what looks like drop shadows on some images but i'll need to look at the actual file on multiple devices to see what the reality is.
There are some inconsistencies between how the fonts look in the previewers. The online one is not perfect and the desktop previewer displays exactly as designed so again, I won't really know until I can get my hands on the devices. There is also a sizing issue with the online previewer that the desktop previewer doesn't seem to have. And then there will be the issue that the "purchase" file isn't consistent with the preview file you download so not sure how it will all pan out yet.
I had lots of overlapping and other character spacing issues until I changed my font to the OTF Quicksand with the SIL License. I'm hoping the drop shadows are just an issue with the online previewer.
And I'm hoping my conclusion is correct that the OTF with the SIL licenses work for embedding so long as you remove the encryption and replace the encrypted font with the orignal version (and include the license). And I'm hoping that is allowed.

I have attached Liberary "JSP RUNTIME" which reffers to "ojsp.jar","ojsputil.jar","oc4j.jar","servlet.jar","ojc.jar".
while running the code for file upload, file doesn't get uploaded. I am not getting any exceptions too.
But the same pease of code with same liberary "JSP RUNTIME" is working absolutly fine(Uploading File), when i am running it using Jdeveloper10.1.2, and This is Strange to me.Actualy i need to use Jdeveloper9.0.3 only.Please let me know if any patch is required to apply in Jdeveloper9.0.3.

When trying to create a PDF from a website the font doesn't convert properly to a readable format

As the title states when I find something on a website that I want to create a PDF with, the font that's readable from the website converts once the PDF is created to an unknown format that isn't readable in any language. I'm using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and quite the novice at using Acrobat, so any info would be a great help. Did try and search around the forum for the issue but I wouldn't really know what to type as I'm not familiar with what the text is converting to.

Ok so I go to a web page and select something to print. Once I've clicked print I switch over from printer/micosoft xps docu writer/fax and select Adobe PDF. All goes through with a 'Create Adobe PDF' coming up progressing through to eventually save and store. Once I open the file it end up as the picture above. I have the same version on another computer and that works fine but this particular Sony laptop it doesn't seem to work properly.

"Allow pages to choose own fonts" doesn't always work

I don't know if this is a problem with my browser preferences or with how the browser sees certain websites.
In Preferences, I have the box checked for "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above." It's been checked for as long as I've been using Firefox. (Now using 6.14)
Now, for certain sites, this no longer works -- the site always comes up using my default fonts. Since I'm trying to tinker with CSS on one of these sites, it's very annoying not to be able to see what I'm doing. The page looks fine in Safari, so I'm fairly sure the problem is with my computer rather than the website.
This only happens with some sites. I have no idea why it would do this to some sites and not others. Some sites display their own fonts just fine.
This started happening just a few day ago (but before I upgraded to 6.14). Shutting down and rebooting the computer doesn't help. Clearing the browser cache and quitting and restarting Firefox didn't help either.

At first I thought this wouldn't work -- but after I removed a troublesome font, and replaced it with another version of the SAME font, it actually did.
Bizarro. ;)
