Font error message

Everytime I scroll to the last page of my FORM document I receive this error message: The font 'NFTYEM+Arial-BoldMT' contains a bad /BBox.
How do I fix this?

George, my new best friend - hi again!!!
Interesting you should say that. I did have to edit that last page and replace it. When I open it before it was a form and when it was turned inot a form, when it is a single page, I don't get the error message. But once its placed with the others I get it.

Font Error Message While Editing a PDF File with Acrobat XI Pro

Hello,
I have Acrobat XI Pro running on Windows 8.1
I scanned a PDF File and then went to "Tools - Text Recognition - In This File - Edit - OutPutStyle ClearScan etc etc" and got the file into "Edit Mode".
When I replace a "number/digit", the replacement digit font is "very small" and there is a "Yellow Triangle" error message which says the following.
"The Original Font Fd 3168 is not available or can't be used in editing. Acrobat is using the font "Minion Pro" font in its place.
Anybody know how to overcome this error message/problem OR alternatively how do I change the FONT of the whole page to some other Font?
Also how do I find a "similar or equivalent font" for Fd 3168 font that Adobe Acrobat says, is not available.

I'm using AA XI 11.0.06. Upgraded this morning. That's running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64.
I get the boundary boxes by clicking on the 'edit text and images' tool, and they appear. Or don't in this case
I only need to change a few characters in the file. However, even just opening up the file in AA and then saving, the "A = " "text" gets deleted.
Could it perhaps be something to do with embedded or missing maths fonts on my machine? I mean, I don't get any warnings, just can't do anything with the A and AB italic bold text.

Get the "cannot extract embedded fonts" error message

I get the "Cannot extract embedded font 'UZNVZW+HElveticaNeueLTStd-Hv-Identity-H'. Some characters may not display or print correctly." error message when I generate a PDF from MadCap Flare or Frame Maker. I am on Windows 8 64-bit / Adobe Acrobat 11 / FrameMaker 9 / MAdCap Flare 9.
When I do the same task on a Windows 7 system, works like a whistle.
I am looking at a solution and no workarounds.

Java Font Error Message???????

I am in desparate need of help. I am trying to print screen from my Explorer browser from a SCT Banner financial program so that I can document steps in setting up university grant accounts. I keep getting this error message on my desktop and it closes the browser. The computer techs at the university are unable to solve this problem. It seems to only happen to those who run Windows XP.

Has the vendor certified their app to run on the configuration that you are using?
If so it is their problem.
If not it is yours.
You can try loading a more recent version of java but that might not fix it and might make it worse (ie other things might stop working.)
Font errors are usually due a combination of video card, video driver and OS. Sometimes updating the video driver can help.

Missing Font error message

I keep getting an error message on my iWeb that I am missing a font named SymbolMT, but I have never used that font please help

Try trashing the file Home Folder/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWeb.plist and restarting your Mac.
iWeb seems to think that you have used this font and doing the above should clear up this issue.

Embedded font error message

PDF file in Telugu language will open on computer but the same PDF file will not open from a web site. Error message about embedded fonts that only displays numbers or English words. The web link is www.labiblefacon.com file is under Message of reconciliation any suggestions?

Only a few pages are available as the site is in the process of being
translated
The page appears to have been written in the Gautami font which is one
of the fonts on MS Word. Adobe reader shows 4 pages but very little is
displayed mainly periods, commas and numbers. To me this implies Adobe
does not recognize the Gautami font.

Missing Fonts Error Message-Pages 2.0.1

I created a brochure with Pages (2.0.1) - No problems. I reopened the brochure and saw an error message stating that there were "missing fonts." I have one Admin account and one User account. I installed the application under the User account and created the brochure under the User account. I have not moved or added any fonts - Only have fonts that came with the OS and that were installed by Pages. Please help! This is VERY annoying. Can not find help under OS or Pages help topics.

I had this problem a while back. Sometimes the package info gets confused and you end up with a font that doesn't exist. It tends to happen when converting files from Word but it can happen within Pages. Selecting all the document and changing the font wont correct it however there is a way to solve this:
Open script editor and enter the following script:
tell application "Pages"
tell front document
set aRef to a reference to (every character of body text whose font name is "ENTER MISSING FONT NAME")
set font name of aRef to "ENTER NEW CHOSEN FONT"
end tell
end tell
Ensure Pages is open and the document is open. Compile the script and run it. Now wait as it takes a while for the script to run and there is no indication it is running. When the script editor is done close the doc and reopen it.
Ensure that you enter the precise name of the font that Pages says is missing and the new one you want to replace it with. If it's misspelt it wont work.
Also this only works on Pages 2, not on Pages 1.

Cannot extract fonts error message even after fonts outlined

Grab saves files to tif format, you need a web format (jpg, png, gif) to post to these format. Rather than grab use preview app.
preview application >> file >> take screen shot >> save as file type png
Now the cannot extract fonts error, could be fixed possibly by an illustrator free update, don't know the verison you are on

Reset your illustrator your prefs.
Does this happen to all files, or is this just a certain file. You may have a font in a symbol or opacity mask.
Save a copy of the document, keep deleting items, unitl the error goes away. This will identify the problem item, of which we better help you by narrowing the variables down.

Dreamweaver and font activation error messages on Leopard

Since I've been using Dreamweaver CS4 on my iMac (Leopard 10.5.6)
I get font error messages all the times (I mean every 20 seconds!)
Mainly about Helvetica, but also Myriad.
Does Dreamweaver activate its own fonts or manages fonts in any way?
I stop getting font activation warnings when I don't use Dreamweaver (when it's off).
Did anyone ever heard of such a problem?

Error Message: Internal Error Occured

I have been using the same template files for several years now and all of a sudden I started getting the following Error: "An internal error occurred while writing imported graphics to this file. The file was saved but has lost some image data. I have 6 graphics on the reference page, and have replace all 6 but still get this error. By book consists of 8 files but only 2 files seem have this error. The same time this started I also started to get missing font errors, for a font I never had installed on the system.

I searched the forums as you suggested, and can see that there is an issue with SP3. Like many of the others removing SP3 is not an option. I tried to save as a MIF and got the same error. However when I open the Cover.MIF.CC6 file that was created it did grey out the problem graphic (an OLD-2). Was able to save file as fm and recreated the graphic.
I have also noticed and have not been able to fix, since the SP3 install is a font error for one font type Arial Black. All of my files use this font. I have had IT down and they uninstalled and reinstalled the font. The font works fine in other programs, and in the FrameMaker files, but I get a font Error message about missing fonts.

Trying to view/print PDF documents from website. Print looks like gibberish and is unreadable. Problem is with the embedded fonts. Error message from Adobe says cannot extract the embedded font 'LICCMC+MyriadPro-Light'. some characters may not display or print correctly.

Try Adobe support, that's not a Firefox support issue.

Error message: "Cannot extract embedded font..."

I have Acrobat 7.1 Professional with Windows Vista and until now have not had a problem downloading and reading any .pdf file. Today I tried to download brochures from a company's product line web page (example: http://www.ulsinc.com/products/ils1275/) and got an error message stating "Cannot extract the embeddded font UOYPQY+MyriadPro-Bold. Some characters may not display or print properly."
Well.that's an understatement. Nothing but the images appear correctly. All text appears as a string of dots.
I have combed your support pages looking for a solution to no avail. The closest I came was a forum entry about this problem in Acrobat 8. It points out that the problem doesn't occur in Acrobat 7. I'm afraid it does.
All other .pdf documents both on my computer and on other websites download perfectly.
A friend tried downloading the files on his computer. It worked perfectly. No error message. And all he has is Reader 9 (so do I).
I'm stumped. Can anyone help me solve this problem?

Found this fix in Preflight: Under prepress, I selected my destination, which is sheetfed offpress (CMYK) and ran the analyze and fix. The updated file opened without the error message.

Why do PDFs created with some print presets show the error message "cannot extract embedded font."

Whenever I create a pdf from InDesign using a press-quality preset, I get an error message upon opening the file. The error message says that an embedded font cannot be extracted.
InDesign indicates the font is not present in the file.
In Acrobat's properties, the font in the error message is listed and shows that it is not embedded, and that the actual font is unknown.
Running the "embed fonts" from preflight fixups doesn't help.

We are not able to start Indesign CS2 without getting the error message: <<InDesign is missing required system fonts or CMap files. Please reinstall InDesign.>> This is on WinXP. Recently I installed Creative Suite CS4. It took almost a day to install. The installation kept on stopping. Each time we were able to install one more program. After checking all of the programs we discovered that Firefox would not start due to a possible font error. After reading many posts I decided to uninstall a lot of fonts since I did not know which one was the culprit. However now I am missing a font (at least I hope that this is caused by a missing font and not anything else) that should be there and I don't know which one it should be. I did uninstall a <lot> of fonts and don't remember which ones. WE did uninstall all CS2 programs and then reinstalled only the necessary three. However that did not make any difference. Encoding Cmap specified by a font is missing Error Message

Hello all,
I'm afraid I'm having an issue with Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Pro running on Windows XP SP3. I've searched the depths of the internet to find a solution to no avail. Here is hoping this isn't a lost effort to finally get someones support and assistance with the issue.
I work in the IT field and I am seeing an error message on one of our users systems. "The encoding (Cmap) specified by a font is missing." It seems to show up when the user attempta to delete a particular PDF page or replace a certain page. As far as I can understand, this has something to do with the PC itself as I had the user attempt the same process on another PC running Adobe Acrobat 9.0 Pro.
I can't find any solution on the internet, but I did notice that other programs people have used have generated the same error message.
Please help as I am becoming exhausted researching the cause of the error.

Try starting up in Safe Mode. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1455
It disables all fonts other than those in /System/Library/Fonts (Mac OS X 10.4 or later) and forces a directory check of the startup volume. Might help...
