If you upgraded to Snow Leopard, then it would seem that Suitcase 11 is not compatible with Snow Leopard and you'd need to buy Suitcase Fusion 3 for $99.95.

My pages body test font has all changed from what i want -helvetica- to another font- papyrus that I use in just a small section and I want to change it back.

I would use the File ▸ Revert To ▸ Browse All Versions, and travel back in document time to where your document body text is not all one font. You can use the space bar on each document version to Quick Look it to verify. When you have found what you want, select it and Restore.

How do I get fonts in my font book to a place where I can use them?

I have some Hebrew fonts in my font book but I don't know how to make them useable. I don't even know how to ask 'help' how to get them out. Meanwhile the Japanese fonts and the Chinese fonts are readily available.

I have a similar problem except I can't use any other fonts other than roman characters- all I want is to type in simplified chinese.
As with any other language, and just explained above for Hebrew, you go to system prefs/international/input menu and check the box for the simplified chinese input method you want to use, plus the box for Show Input Menu in Finder. Then in the "flag" menu at the top right of the Finder you select Chinese and type.

Arabric Font embed, and TLF use problem.

I meet a problem with embed the Arabric Font.

It succeed published into a .swf file. I load this file use

It shows the font I have embed, it seems embed succeed:

But if I use the font Arial/Arabic Transparent/Traditional Arabric, it works.
I use AXtYOumna/AXtadvertising/AXtSImplified Light /AXtGihaneLightItalic /AXtYouSra/AXTTraditionalLight , it not works.
I can use these font in Photoshop CS4 middleeast version to show arabic succeefully.

I suppose that "The Text still not render correctly. " means in particular that you don't the proper shaping (positional forms).
If that's the case, I think it is explained by the fact that AXtYOumna does not have the necessary OpenType layout tables. TLF/FTE need those table to select the proper positional shapes. Those tables are present in Arial/Arabic Transparent/Traditional Arabric.

Well...where to start? Folks who will be visiting your site probably won't have the font in question. So they'll see your design most likely with their browser's default font. So first off you'll need to find out if it will even be worthwile using a new font that may not be available and usable by your visitor's browsers. But there are some comon fonts that are widely available that you can use to somewhat guarantee that folks will see what you designed the way you meant it. These are called font stacks - you basically use CSS to tell the browser what font you would first prefer it to use and on down the "stack" until, if none of the fonts are available on that machine/browser, it uses it's default (serif, sans-serif, proportional, and script). So keep that in mind (if you'd like to learn more about font stacks and which fonts are commonly available, do a web search on font stacks).
Okay that being said... here's how to add it (but be aware that others might not see your wonderful font):
On your Properties bar, select the Font dropdown and click the edit font list. Then you can add your font from the "Available Fonts" window by selecting it and hitting the left-facing double brackets that point to the Chosen Fonts window. When your done, hit the OK button. Then start using this font stack in your website.

Fonts not found when using Xvfb

Hi all,
I keep encountering "fonts specified in fonts.properties not found" whenever I execute rwserver.sh server=XXX.
fyi, I'm running Solaris8 on Sun SPACE machine. I use Xvfb downloaded from Oracle to allow report server to run after I logoff from the session. I realised that the report sever I created manually will die prematurely if I log out from the session when I use the "default" Xserver provided by Solaris.
And prior to running rwserver.sh I set the DISPLAY such DISPLAY=:1.0; export DISPLAY.
pls advise.

I get the same errors on my Solaris system with xvfb, but it doesn't keep anything from working. My reports server comes up and works fine.

Unfortunately this will require some new programming by Adobe and there's no way to know when that will happen. In the meantime, the only option I think you have available to you is to change your resolution so that your monitor is using fewer pixels per inch.
Kinda blows the whole value of the newer monitor but I suppose you can switch back and forth from low res when you are working in Bridge to high res when you are working in PS.

What is the best font management software to use with CS6?

I currently use Extensis Fusion 3 but it cannot auto-activate my fonts in CS6. It looks like Fusion 5 is also limited. Is there a better font management software to use with CS6?

Get rid of Norton a/k/a Symantec. It is one of the worst pieces of trash you can install on a Mac.
You do not need any additional anti-virus software than is already designed into OS X to protect your Mac against malware. I assume you paid enough for your iMac and that's part of what you paid.
If you use Windows, or are concerned about harboring viruses that target Windows, or care about friends who use Windows, then get ClamXav. It's in the App Store and it is free.
Since friends don't let friends use Windows, I have no use for it.

I actually created these fonts with fontagrapher in 1998 and have been using them regularly ever since and now they are not available in InDesign. I really need to use them.

On PostScript type 1 fonts you need to copy/move the fonts to the correct font folder because Font Book doesn't copy them into the folder. Select the fonts double-click the fonts and Find in the font Book app and validate.
The correct font folder depends how you are set up. I am by myself so my font folder was MyHarddrive/Library/Fonts. I was using Suitcas fusion and the fonts are located in a different folder.

[Solved] Powerline font 1px too high, using fontconfig w/ infinality

Hey guys,
I'm using the Termite terminal emulator which uses fontconfig for font rendering options. I'm also using vim powerline.
I use the Monaco font and have installed the otf-powerline-symbols-git package.
This is what my powerline looks like up close. As you can see the symbols appear to be 1px too high.
Here's my font config

It doesn't seem like there's a fontconfig option to move the font's baseline down. Any ideas?

Thanks bohoomil, I tried changing this setting (it was already set to true since I'm using your infinality bundle!) but it didn't seem to have an effect.
It looks like I can fix this alignment issue by actually editing the OTF symbols font with fontforge. But it would be much nicer if there was some kind of setting I could change so I could use the upstream font.
Edit: Reading through the issues, it looks like it's common practice to just accept that the font needs to be edited on a per-system basis.

Inspect Element does not tell me what font is substituted.

There is a panel for that in the Inspector. On the right side, where you normally see CSS rules, look for the Fonts tab. It should show the actual font being used by the element selected in the HTML "tree" on the left side.
Oops, you posted using Firefox 24. It might not have been in that version yet. Are you waiting to make the leap to Firefox 31 ESR because of... ??
Note that you are a little behind on updates: 24.8.1ESR was released on Sept. 24.
