Font installation leads to change in Page Size

Hi Everyone,
I'm using Crystal Reports to generate PDF reports and encountered a couple of issues.
Firstly, I was unable to get the Crystal SDK to format the report in the manner I expected. The text that was configured to be displayed in bold font wasn't being displayed in Bold. The answer provided in this thread:([PDF export in Linux|PDF export in Linux) was of great help. I was able to fix this issue.
However, I have now run into another problem. The text that I have configured to be displayed in bold font is being displayed as expected but the now Crystal SDK is generating the report in a page size different from what I have configured the report to be displayed in. So if I have configured the report to be displayed in Letter size in the .rpt file, the Crystal SDK is generating the report in Legal size. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
AMalik

How can I change the page size of a scanned PDF document?
I scanned a 50-page document with an HP 5610xi All-In-One using the software that comes with it: HP Scan Pro. Though the physical document has standard 8.5" x 11" pages, the PDF resulting from scanning has page size set to 35.42 × 48.67 inches (according to Preview's "Tools > Inspector". I want to resize the pages to 8.5" x 11". Shouldn't Preview be able to do that with "Tools > Adjust Size..."? When I try, the menu option is grey so I can't select it.
    I'm using Preview Version 4.2.

Thanks for the insight; that explains why it's the wrong size. I selected 300dpi scanning (which is the default, actually), but HP Scan Pro evidently created a PDF with 72dpi indicated. I want it fixed because I want to distribute the file to other people and have them able to print or display it without problems.
I still don't know why Preview won't let me change it, but your question about whether I wanted to print it did lead me to find a workaround: "File > Print" and "Save as PDF..." saved it with the correct page size.

  • How do you can change the page size of a pdf in MAC?  I have multiple pdf documents of different sizes that I want to combine.

Help.  How do I change the page size of a pdf in MAC?  I have multiple pdf documents in varying sizes I would like to combine and print.

There's no real need to do that. A PDF can have pages of different sizes.

How can I change the page size of a pdf so i can view it on my iphone more clearly?

I think there may be more to this question than you say.
If your PDF page is say, 8 x 12 inches, and you found a way to scale it to 25%, changing it to 2 x 3 inch, shrinking everything on the page to quarter size - wouldn't it look exactly the same on the iPhone? It's just going to be the same as zooming.
Or were you hoping for something more like in Word, where changing the page size keeps everything the same size and spreads it over more pages? That isn't something you can do.

  • How do I change the page size of a pdf?

I'm trying to send a manuscript to a printing service in another city. It was produced using Microsoft Publisher. In Acrobat Pro I changed the page size from the default (8 1/2" x 11") to the size of my finished document --- 7.8" x 10". Yet when I send the manuscript to the printer it's still the larger size. I've tried right-clicking on the pdf printer and changing to a close approximation (7.5" by 10"), which is listed as one of the available alternatives, but it won't let me change it. What am I doing wrong?

There's no real need to do that. A PDF can have pages of different sizes.

  • How do you change default page size in pdf?

I purchased CREATE solely to create a pdf file from a scanned document. I created the PDF but the default page size is 30.15 x 20.83 INCHES. I cannot seem to change the page size. I called support services 4 times (talking with Sakthivel, Shashank, Medhet, and one other.) Each time they indicated that they would connect me to the correct people and they disconnected. I want some answers please. This seems to be a simple question. Is Adobe CREATE merely a scam?

CreatePDF, perhaps?  Try the forum at http://forums.adobe.com/community/createpdf

  • Change report page size dynamically -URGENt

    Hi,
I am developing one report for super market, and as per the req. of super market I want to control the page size during the runtime only.
    Pleas help me regarding this.
    Thanns in advance.
    Sharad

You can't actually change the page size.
But there are some things may help in this respect.
In the report layout you can have some frames that include different layouts for the same data and print those frames conditionally.
Or you may use two different .rdf for two different page sizes.

  • How to change the page size of a replicated container?

Hi, I would like to change the page size of dbxml 2.3.10.10 containers in a replicated environment.
This is what I tried so far:
    1) dbxml_dump/dbxml_load (bot utils not usable in a replicated environment)
    2) db_dump/db_load. db_dump works fine. db_load seems to work fine, since it succesfully creates a database/container from a dump file. But it does not correctly initialise the internal dbxml structures since the database/container can not be opened, although getContainers works...
Besides writing my own dump/load clients, is there any other option to change the page size of an existing container?
    Regards,
    Jacobus Geluk

    Hi George,
dbxml_dump seems to work fine, but ends with this message:
    DATA=END
dbxml_dump: Non-replication DB_ENV handle attempting to modify a replicated environment
dbxml_dump: dump <container name>.dbxml: Error: Unexpected error opening Configuration DB
dbxml_load more or less has the same error...
I am currently writing a little Java program that simply dumps all XML documents of all containers in a directory structure...
That would work as long as the file system can handle it...
I suppose dbxml_dump/load could be made to work quite easily by just copying their sources and specifiying the replication settings...
All utilities that cause log activity, that currently do not support replicated environments, should support replicated environments that simply use the default replication transport mechanism. With some additional command line options like --sites it would work...
    Regards,
    Jacobus

  • Change pdf page size to uploaded file page size

I've added a new page size in the PDF printer -- but when I identify a file that is being converted
in Acrobat Pro9, the finished pdf is always 8x11. I can't find any page size adjustment in preferences
or page setup, properties, etc.  Please help

    >How do I change the pdf page size to print on the larger size without the blank, empty margins above and below the page?
You can't. That would require changing font sizes and document reflow. 8.5 x14 isn't proportionate to 8.5x11.

  • Change default page size

When printing a front panel the default page size is letter. My windows printer has A4 as default page size. LabView always overrides my printer's default page size to letter.
The problem: I want to print programmatically the front panel. With the page size letter I get a broad left and bottom margin on the A4 page. I didn't find a possibility to change the default page size programmatically or manually.
I use LabView 2011 on Windows Vista.
    Thank you for your help
    Stefan

    Hi Stefan,
i couldn`t find a programmtically way to set the page size to A4 in LabView. You can change parameters like orientation and print method (Postscript..), but i couldn`t find methods to determine windows printer dialog options.
A possible work around would be, to use System Exec VI to perform a print command on a prior LabView created report file (Word or PDF). There are several command line print tools on the web.
    Kind regards

  • Change/set page size - feature missing

Since I'm using iCloud and iWork on the web 90% of the time and often create new documents I would need to use A4 instead of the letter size. BUT, iWork beta always makes new docs in the Letter page size. The only way to get it to be A4 is to change it on iOS or Mac (which then syncs back).
    Please release a fix/feature.

Did you change your OS to a 64-bit version and is your print driver in sync with your OS?

  • How to change the page size of an active document?

Apparently, in the CS3 is impossible to do any scripting and using any actions. Can it be done using plugins sdk, without creating a new document? I tried using the functions SetPageSetup and SetCropBox but no effect

This is not exactly what I'm talking about. This is what is written about this suite in the documentation:
This suite allows you to activate, access, and modify crop areas in Illustrator documents.
Illustrator maintains a list of crop areas in a document, and these functions allow you to iterate through the list. The active crop area is the one returned by AIDocumentSuite::GetDocumentCropBox(), which is displayed with crop marks, and which is used when saving or exporting to a file.
That is, using this suite, we can select crop box of the document (area inside crop marks). I choose this area by using the function SetDocumentCropBox or using actions - PlayActionEvent( "adobe_makeCropMark",...
And how choose a page size of the document, which is selected through menu item Page Setup? Standard function SetDocumentSetup not works - as stated in the documentation, it can be called only in documents opening. :-(
