Font Package Required alert box

I keep geting the alert box above when opening scanned documents with adobe reader.  I have version 11.0.04.  I do not get this error however when i open my documents with Adobe Acrobat Pro verson 11.0.04   Is anyone aware of a fix?  We are having an issue with our medical office EMR system.   We have the capability to send faxes through our medical office EMR system but the faxes have not been going through because this error box.    Can anyone provide any advise or direction how to resolve this?  Should more pressure be put on our EHR vendor to resolve this?

I appreciate your response but as i mentioned earlier i cannot simply install the packet in this instance.  We have discussed this with our EHR vendor and they stated they cannot install this font pack apparently.  Every time this box pops up it stops the EHR software from sending the file via fax.  If i install this packet at this point, I will not be able to identify the problematic files.  I need a fix in order to prevent future files from having this problem.  The entire file is in ENGLISH so I don't understand why its needing this extended Font Pack to begin with.  We have not changed our equipment and we had the problem start only a few months ago.  I already have an open ticket with Adobe but i wasn't sure if anyone was running into this problem.

  • Japanese font package being required for form without Japanese

    I created a form in Adobe Acrobat Pro using (as far as I know) all English characters.  I saved the form and am now trying to open it on another computer that has Acrobat Reader X.  The error message I'm receiving is "A font package is required to correctly display this page.  Click OK to direct your browser to download the add-on from adobe.com...."  The font package that it wants me to load is Japanese.  Once I load that font pack, the form opens without any problems.
    I'm not the only one having this problem, others who are trying to open the form are experiencing the same difficulty.
    So, why does Reader think my form contains Japanese fonts, and how do I get rid of them so others can open the form without having to install a font package?
    Thanks!

    As far as I can see, there are no asian characters there.  Here are the fonts listed:
    BellGothicStd-Bold
    FuturaBT-BoldCondensed
    FuturaBT-Book
    FuturaBT-BookItalic
    FuturaBT-Light
    FuturaBT-LightItalic
    Helvetica
    KozMinPr6N-Regular
    ZaphDingbats

    Thanks again!

  • After upgrade why do I have Old English style font on alert boxes and text on some sites?

    The browser is picking up fonts from my font list to use in browser alert boxes, pull down menus, and sometimes in whole web sites.
    Unfortunately it chose a Old English font that is virtually impossible to read under 18pt. It also uses a second scrip font for Bold styles.
    For an example of where it is used, the pull down menu at the bottom of the Firefox Help page labeled "Other Languages" appears on my screen as an Old English font called "Westminster Gofisch"

    You can do a check for corrupted and duplicate fonts and other font issues:

    You can do a font test to see if you can identify corrupted font(s).

    You can also try different default fonts.

  • A font package is required

    I am trying to open a form on the sac county court website, but I am unable to.  I have confirmed that I have the latest version of Reader.   It gives me an error.  It says "a font package is required to correctly display this page".  And continues on and asks me to click OK.  When I do this, nothing happens and I am still unable to open the contents of the document.  I disabled my internet security to see if it was blocking it, but I don't know what else to do.  I had this problem several months ago on this website, but never resolved the issue.  It has to be on my end.

    Assuming that your "latest version" is Reader 11.0.6, you may need to install the Extended Font Pack.

    Hi Frank,
    I use JDev 10.1.3.1 and it does not work.
    Yes , the required field similar to #{bindings.ManagerId.mandatory}
    I even try to change it to 'true', still no Java script alert, just the server side error.
    What is the possibility ?

  • Polish , turkish text not decoding in the alert boxes in JSP file

    Hi All,
    Currently I am working on application in the J2ee development perspective in NWDI  and this contains many Jsp pages.As per the business requirement we need to make this application support Polish and turkish languages , for this we have maintained properties files .
    I have encoded the polish and turkish text using the u201CHTML Unicode format encodingu201D hence when checked the url in the IE with Polish and turkish locale all the characters are getting decoded properly ,but i have a proplem with the text in the alert boxes i.e. the special characters in the text displayed in the alert boxes is not getting  decoded at all eg:"Wprowadź numer konta BP" whereas it has to display as "Wprowadź numer konta BP:
    Also i have used java encode also to achieve the same and for this "?" is getting displayed i.e. it is not getting properly decoded.
    I have also used native2ascii method in this also it is getting decoded but not correctly i.e. "?" is displayed
    Please note that the alert boxes are written in the script tag in the JSP page.
    Request you to kindly help me in resolving the issue at the earliest as this is a very critical issue in my project now.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Nishita Salver

    Hi nishita,
    We had a similar problem in one of my projects, but what i remember is we have kept the ascii value for that character directly in the properties files and tried to encode it, this way i resolved my problem.
    Try this way and let me know the result.

  • Acrobat v9 JavaScript Alert Box - any way to add space or line break after each array item?

    I have a Document level Javascript used to identify blank required fields and is triggered on document actions, Print and Save. The script identifies the blank required fields, counts them, and outputs to an Alert box indicating the number of required fields blank and lists the fields by tooltip name. The script identifies the required fields by an asterisk at the end of each tool tip.
    My question is there any way to add a space or a line break after the comma for each listed item?
    Here is an image of the output where the listed items are all run together.
    Here is the code:
    function validateFields()
    //a counter for the number of empty fields
    var flg = 0
    // count all the form fields
    var n = this.numFields
    //create an array to contain the names of required fields
    //if they are determined to be empty
    var fArr = new Array();
    //loop through all fields and check for those that are required
    // all fields that have a '*' in their tool tip are required
    for(var i = 0;i<n;i++){
    var fn = this.getNthFieldName(i);
    var f = this.getField(fn);
    //tool tip is the fields\'s 'userName' property;
    var tt = f.userName
    //test for the '*';
    if(tt.indexOf('*')!=-1 && f.value == f.defaultValue){
    //increment the counter of empty fields;
    flg++;
    //add the fields userName (tool tip) to the list of empty field names;
    fArr[fArr.length] = tt;
    //now display a message if there are empty fields
    if(flg>0){
    app.alert('There are '+flg+' fields that require a value\n\n'+ fArr,3)
    else{
    this.print();

    Thank you! The alert box array items now have a line break, image below.  You know you have made my day and possibly several weeks as now I have more understanding about how to apply everything I have been reading in the Acrobat JavaScript guide and of course as soon as you pointed out using a "join", that triggered some old-days of working with Access and SQL queries.
    I will work on the required attribute to see how I might reference it.  I am laughing at myself now - good luck to me in figuring it out as I was very stick-in-the-mud regarding the line break issue.
    Thanks again and here is the result of the updated code:

  • Alert Box on tabular form

    Hi,
    I have a tabular form with only one column, and the column is NOT NULL ENABLE.
    So may I know is it possible to show an alert box in tabular form if user didn’t fulfill the required field?
    In fact, I have created a new button and hide the main button already.
    And I have already added JavaScript in region’s footer, however, the alert box still popup even when I have already key in data in the required field. It is because I can’t able point the new button to the field which is NOT NULL ENABLE.
    Any suggestions are appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi Gus,
    Create a normal submit button - in my example, this is called "SUBMIT". When it's created, edit it attributes and change the following:
    Target is a: URL
    URL Target: javascript:notNull('f03');
    Then add the following to the form region's Region Header:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    function notNull(fld)
    var flds = document.getElementsByName(fld);
    var f;
    var e = 0;
    if (flds)
      for (var k = 0; k < flds.length; k++)
       f = flds[k];
       if (f.value == "")
        f.style.backgroundColor = "yellow";
        e = 1;
       else
        f.style.backgroundColor = "white";
    if (e == 1)
      alert("Highlighted fields are required!");
    else
       doSubmit("SUBMIT");
    </script>In this example, the column I'm validating is "f03" but check doing a View Source on your page to get the right "name" attribute for your column.

  • Accont identification - alert boxes

    Hi Gurus,
    If I log in with IC_Agent role - on the top of the screen we have 3 alert boxes  -- first box is for displaying the account you are working with - send box is for the showing he marketing attributes.
    Scenario 1: The system is set-up such a way that the account identification is based on ship to party and not based on sold to party.  so when I search for account (ship to) and confirm it -- I see the ship to on the first alert box and the ship to related marketing attributes in the second alert box.
    Now the requirement I have is -
    Scenario 2:  Say the user has logged in - he did not identify the account  and searched for interaction record or service order by just the transaction id and is in the display or change mode of the document --  the first and second alert boxes now show sold to party information and sold to relevant attributes.
    Can this be configured to show the Ship to information and ship to attributes.
    Please let me know how we can achieve this. I see there is some rule in the rule modler for showing up marketing attributes - But I wasn't able to find any thing similar for showing up accounts.
    Thank for your help in advance.
    ram

    Raghunath,
    I don't need the second box - we are already displaying marketing attributes and other information in the second white box.
    The question I have is on the first white box -- which is the contact information box.
    If I don't Identify the account and directly search form the document and try to edit - the first white box always shows sold to party info.
    We would like to show the ship to party info - which shows up if I do the Account identification.
    Thank you

  • Skip alert box

    Hi there,
    I am developing batch process for hyperlink.
    User input will be a folder which consist InDesign documents.
    My plug will open 1st file, will add some hyperlinks and close the file.
    open 2nd file add some hyperlinks and close the file. and so on.
    Here while opening file, my plug stops if any dialog appears (like font missing, link missing, etc.,)
    Is there any way to skip this alert boxes? I am CS3 user.
    Thanks in advance.
    Saravanan.K

    The simplest solution is to open the files without a window.  This will skip all the warning dialogs.
    The IDocumentCommands utility interface has a method you can use:
    IDocumentCommands::Open(UIDRef *result, const IDFile &file, UIFlags uiFlags = kFullUI,
              IOpenFileCmdData::OpenFlags openFlags = IOpenFileCmdData::kOpenDefault,
              IOpenFileCmdData::LockFlags lockFlags = IOpenFileCmdData::kUseLockFile,
              bool16 showInWindow = kTrue,
              IDocument::UndoSupport undoSupport = IDocument::kFullUndoSupport)
