  • Fonts supported by crystal reports XI

Does Crystal reports XI support postscript fonts?
Does Crystal Reports XI allow postscript fonts to be exported to PDF? (I know that this was not possible in Crystal Reports 9. Has this been resolved in XI?)
    Many thanks in advance...

First check is to ensure the Java JVM can see the font.  The Java SDK comes with the JFC demo Font2DTest.  Do the fonts show up there?
Note that the Java JRE has a lib/fonts directory, where you can place TrueType fonts that the JRE then would use.

  • Code39Wide-Regular Fonts in the crystal report cannot be embedded with PDF

    Hello ,
    Good Day!
We are using Code39Wide-Regular Fonts in the crystal report for bar codes. While converting this report to the PDF format from Crystal viewer, we are getting the following error. It seems like this particular font cannot be embedded with PDF format.
Error - Failed to Export the report
Code39Wide-Regular- Font is not allowed to be embeded in document,
    File - F:\Apps\9.40\Crystal\sfc\jobprtx.rpt
How can we solve this issue permanantly (Not a workaround )?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Philip P Oommen | Consona | 0091-80-40173801 |

Hi Philip, Due to licensing issues CR cannot embed licensed fonts in a PDF file. Your only work around is to export the report to editable Word format and then open the file in Word 2007 and get the export to PDF plug-in available from Microsoft.
This will not be fixed in this or upcoming version of CR.
    Thank you

  • Printing font Barcode3of9 from Crystal Reports XI

I have an issue with printing font Barcode3of9 from Crystal Reports XI utilizing Manhattan Associates Performance Management (PM) UI application.
The font is applied to a field that is converted from a number to a text using the CStr formula in Crystal Reports XI in order to display the value as a barcode.
The barcode on the report is converted successfully in the PM UI 100% of the time.  However the business tries to print the report using the print or the export the report functions and the barcode is not converted 100% of the time into a barcode only the value of the field displays.
The font is installed on the server that the business accesses and I have installed the font on the web server for our testing environment, but it still does not aide with fixing the issue.
Does anybody have any experience with this issue?
    Thank you

  • Code 128 Font included with Crystal Reports?

We are currently running Crystal Reports v11.5. We are attempting to print out work orders through Sage Mas 500 software, which uses Crystal Reports to print out the documents. I was under the impression that Crystal Reports came with the barcode font Code 128.
My question is, did it indeed come with a font for Code 128 in order to generate barcodes? And if so, where can I find this font located at to install (Perhaps an option I'm overlooking during the install or the Program Files after the install)?
    Thanks,

  • Constant selection in Crystal Reports (like BEx)

Hello! I'am sorry if this question have printed answer already but I can't found it.
I have BEx report like this:
              month1                   month2                         monthN
    items     amount                   amount                         amount
    item5     100                      50                             50
    item8     200                      150                            100
    item9     150                      20                             200
and I have hierarchy on infoobject "items" too, for example:
    item1
        item2
             item5
        item8
    item3
        item9
I created hierarchy group in Crystal Reports and got the report like this:
                              month1                   month2                         monthN
    items                     amount                   amount                         amount
    item1                     300                      200                            150
        item2                 100                      50                             50
             item5            100                      50                             50
        item8                 200                      150                            100
    item3                     150                      20                             200
        item9                 150                      20                             200
But I need in calculate one more key figure - item amount percentage of item1 amount ({amount of current item}*100/{amount of item1}). Item1 have amount = 300 in my example, so I need report like this:
                              month1                   month2                   monthN
items                     amount perc              amount  perc             amount perc
    item1                     300    100%              200     100%             150    100%
        item2                 100    33%               50      25%              50     33%
             item5            100    33%               50      25%              50     33%
        item8                 200    66%               150     50%              100    66%
    item3                     150    50%               20      7%               200    133%
        item9                 150    50%               20      7%               200    133%
In BEx I used KF amount with restriction items="item1" and option "constant seklection" but I can't find instruction, how-to or example - how I can design it in crystal reports???
Please help me - I think you know it as it's common report users wish.

There really isn't anything like a conditional SUM (like SUMIF in Excel), but you can sum an IF statement, kinda like this...
    SUM (IF {Amount} > 100 THEN {Amount} ELSE 0)
As far as the sub-report idea... Yea that should work.
    1) You can pass a value from a sub-report back to the main report by using a shared variable. {Look up "Shared variables" in the online help for more info}
    2) Yes. The sub-report will refresh with the main report.
    3) Yes. Formula results from the main report can be passed to the parameters of the sub-report. This will also automatically hide the sub-report parameters from the user.
3a) From the main report, right click the sub-report and choose "Change subreport links..."
    - Find the field or formula in the "Available Field:" window and click it over to the "Field(s) to link to:" window.
    - Find the corresponding sub-report parameter in the "Subreport parameter field to use:" area.
    Not too tough actually.

    Jason

  • Not able to get the tables in crystal report 2008

    Hi,
I am using crystal report 2008 and trying to connect MS SQL using OLE DB (ADO) connection. After giving all DB credentials data base tables are not appearing in the connection. how to get the tables for selection in crystal report 2008.
    Regards,
    Sree

In the CR Designer, select the connection and press the right mouse button. Select Options in the context menu and check if there is an entry in the Table name fiel. Maybe you have a placeholder there that does not match the names of the tables in the database. Just remove it, close the window by pressing OK and refresh the connection browser (press F5). Unfold the connection again and check if you can see the tables now.

  • Set As Default Crystal Report Layout in SAP B1 8.8 PL13

    Hi,
I want to Set As Default a Crystal Report Layout. I know you can do that in Layout Desginer - Selection Criteria, but SAP B1 8.8 PL 13 has only a Manage Layout button in the Layout Desginer window which links to the Report and Layout Manager. There is no Set As Default button.
Where can you select which layout to be default in PL13?
    Thanks!
    Cristina

    Hi
If you want to Set as Default particular PLD then Open that Form
    For. Example
Sales Ar > A/R Invocies (Item) document
Then Click on PLD icon ans select your crystal report as Default by Set as Defaul button.

  • Merging two Queries in single crystal report lauout

    Hi All,
I need to show two reports from two different BEx queries in a single crystal report layout. The queries are independent of each onther and having their selection variables. I have implemented two subreports for two queries in a main report. Now the problem i am facing is, though both the queries are having same slection(Profit Centre and Fiscal Per/Year), they are getting repeated in crystal report parameter screen. I have to enter the values for selections for each report.
Is there any method to merge the selections for both reports if they are same, so that i can enter the selections only once?
    Thanks in Adv,
    Shubhramukta.

    Hi,
I have two queries in BEx having Selections. Query 1 is having selections (Profit centre and Fiscal Per/Yr) and query 2 is having same selections as well(i.e. Profit centre and Fiscal Per/Yr). I have created two reports corresponding to these queries have used as subreports in a main report using Crystal report 2008. When i run the main Crystal report, it automatically prompts for values to be entered, as variables are set at BEx query level.
Though both the reports are having same selection variables, crystal report asks to enter values two times , once for each report, and it is obvious.
    Parameters are Crystal parameters.
Is there any method to merge the parameters,is selection variables are same, so that it will ask only once?
    Thanks

  • Error loading in DLL (Crystal reports 2008 version 12.3)

we have installed the software but While adding the reference in VB,and while selecting the (Crystal Report ActiveX Viewer 12.0) we can't add as a reference it is showing (error in loading DLL) so please request you to check this error which is attached and revert on this As early as possible.

Thread moved to the NET - SAP Crystal Reports forum.
For timely response, it is important to make sure you post to the correct forum (check the header of each forum).
From your description, I suspect that you are trying to use the COM based Report Designer Component(?). This component has been retired in CR XI R2. The activeX viewer you are trying to access is only included for internal purposes and you are not licensed to use it at all. In CR 2008, you will have to use the CR SDK for Visual Studio .NET.

  • How to publish a Crystal Report in Business One

    Hi
Please can anyone tell me how I publish a Crystal report (which is now inbuilt in SAP B1) so it is available to all users?  I have full administrator/manager user rights. I have so far created the report and saved it to my SAP server machine on it's C:drive.
Thank you very much for any help and info.
    Matt

Hi, I worked out how to do it. I had to first enable the Crystal Add on from within SAP and then open the Crystal Reports Administration menu under Administration and then select "Manage Crystal Reports". From there you can browse to the report you have created and select the module for where you want it to appear under in SAP.

how to do crystal reports in bi-7 i need  clear steps

    Hi,
    Please read the following documents.
I am sure that this is going to help you in creating crystal reports.
    Regards,
    Subha
Pls grant me points if it is found useful
    Use
The Reporting Agent allows you to precalculate BEx queries (as “useful queries”) for Crystal reports in the background. This is a device used to improve system performance when executing Crystal reports.
    Prerequisites
    ·        In the BEx Query Designer, you have defined a “useful query” for Crystal Reports and determined variables for the required characteristics.
    ·        You may want to apply a filter when precalculating this “useful query” using a control query (see “Parameter Filtering” in the section below). In this case, you need to have created an additional suitable query in the BEx Query Designer.
The associate variable must have the type “Changeable with Query Navigation”. Other variables can have any type.
    Procedure
           1.      Choose the REPORTING_AGENT transaction code.
           2.      Select Precalculating Crystal Reports Queries and choose Execute.
           3.      Navigate to the required query in the left-hand Reporting Agent Settings tree.
           4.      You have the following options for creating a new setting:
    -         Choose New Setting from the context menu.
    -         Choose  Create New Setting.
The New Reporting Agent Setting dialog box appears.
           5.      Enter a technical name and a description.
The following information is displayed on the General tab page:
    -         The functional area of the setting is Precalculation of Crystal Reports Queries.
    -         Information about the query for which you are creating a setting is shown under the Query group header (description, technical name, InfoProvider).
    -         After the setting has been saved for the first time, the system displays details of the last person who changed the setting and the time this change was made, under the Last Changed On/By group header.
    -         Under the Setting is Used in Packages group header, the system displays information about the packages in which the setting is used, and how they are scheduled. This information can only be displayed if you have defined the setting and assigned one or more scheduling packages to it.
           6.      Choose the Parameters tab page.
           7.      Determine whether precalculation of the Crystal Reports queries are to be parameterized using a filter and using variants.
For more information and recommendations for choosing parameters in a straightforward example, see Parameterizing Crystal Reports Queries Setting.
    Filtering Parameters
    No Filters
When you do not want to use a control query to precalculate variables, choose No Filter.
You can combine this option with parameterization using Variables (see below).
    Explicitly Using Query Result
If you want to use a control query when filtering, choose Explicitly Using Query Result. You can now make entries in the Control Query and Variants fields.
Specify the technical name of the control query. Input help is available. After you save your entries, the system updates the information according to your selections.
You only need to specify a variant when the control query contains input-ready mandatory variables. This does not happen very often, however.
You can combine this option with parameterization using Variables (see below).
    Parameter Variants
After making your setting for filtering a parameter, you can process variant for the individual characteristic values of the variables set in the „useful query“.
Note: The variable screen only offers such variables when they have not already been filled by the control query. (This can also include variables of type “Changeable with Query Navigation”, as long as they aren’t filled by the query).
You can choose from the following functions:
    Create a Variant
A dialog box appears in which you can choose values for the SAP variables used in the “useful query”, in the Query Selection area. Input help is available for those InfoObjects for which SAP variables have been created.
    Enter the required data.
    Choose  .
    Change Variants
    Delete Variants
If you have already created one or more variants, the system lists these in the lower part of the screen. Choose the variants you want to change or delete and choose the appropriate function.

  • Why Would Crystal Reports read more than it prints

    Hi everyone,
In my case My record selection is based on the following:
    {FACILITY}=1
    And {payment_code} In ["110","111","112","115","116","117"]
    And {service_code} = "COPAY"
    And {date_of_receipt} in [{?From Date} to {?To Date}]
And yet for any parameter selection set crystal reports would read - say - 1000 records but prints only 25 records, the question is if the records found according to the selected values from parameter and the record selection formula, is only 25 records, then why would it read 1000 records? what is the reason? and how to avoid it?
    Thanks in advance!

It may also be what the numbers are telling you is the filter (WHERE) cannot be pushed down to the Server so CR has to filter it client side on the second pass.
Likely due to the data range, quite often the date format is not compliant to the Server so CR has to "interpret" the date format so it ends up filtering client side.
Try commenting out that part of the selection formula and see if you get the same number of records read. If you do then you could try using a SQL Express to convert the date fields or possibly using a Command and Command Parameter to set the date range may work for you. This way the DB is definitely getting the date formatted for it's server side use.
